I've just done my consent forms ahead of tomorrow @notyetamumbuttrying and there were some videos to watch about the medication... I've got lots of notes!! The videos went through bemfola, centrotide and ovitrelle. Starting to feel more real now!! I'll let you know how tomorrow goes :)

@VenusStarr it doesn't hurt yet luckily but if it starts then waiting until Friday (or even later if I have to swap it) is not really good!

Morning all - I hope you're all ok and you're getting some sunshine where you are.

I've been quiet because I just feel like nothing's happening, just waiting between appointments atm. I have Satellite appt tomorrow and it's the first my partner has been invited to as it's the signing of the forms etc and they said it'll be abut an hour - Anyone know whether we'll find out a bit more about our personal IVF journey, like meds etc? I had my follicle count a couple of weeks back so that's in place... Should we have lots of questions for tomorrow? I just feel like I don't know what to expect, yet again!

@VenusStarr excited to hear about your appt, looks like we at the same stage, hope it goes well!

@Aimzie I'm glad you have some answers, but you must have been on one hell of a rollercoaster this last few weeks, really puts me off home tests!! I used to test all the time but now I never test at home because I can't handle all the clear negs lol

@polejunkie not sure if this helps but this is how my appointments were:

1. AFC & AMH
2. Teams appointment with consultant which discussed history and plan/protocol
3. Forms and videos had to be done online via their portal

4 Nurse planning appointment via Teams (this went through how to inject/take the meds and any questions I didn't ask the consultant)

1. Couples screening appointment (me and OH had to have bloods and urine sample)

So- I'm cd9 and went for my scan. Its all gone a bit bonkers. I usually ovulate day 11 or 12. So I did think leaving it until day 9 (after 5 days of injections) with no check wasnt ideal. 🙄 Firstly I was somehow 20 minutes late for my appointment (I'd put it in my phone wrong maybe?). You obviously go to the toilet pre-scan. Doing the scan she said oh your right ovary has been busy (first one she checked). I said too busy? She said I'm not sure yet. After that you wait to see the nurse. She then came out and asked me to do an ovulation test. I was like- how, with no wee? (Also aren't you meant to do the clear blue (pink) with fmu? I've only used the purple ones other than ICs, but you do with those?) Anyway- somehow I managed to squeeze wee out. Blank circle. Then I had to wait what seemed like ages and I could see her doing all sorts. When I went in- basically she said I've got a dominant follicle on my right at 1.7 and one on the left at 1.6. Plus other smaller ones. There is a risk of multiple pregnancy right now but obviously they do not want that to increase further! So although they could leave it until Thursday (day 11) she doesn't want to. I therefore had to inject a trigger shot and I've got to go for it tomorrow morning! I did say that we were told to dtd last night so the sperm won't even be 2 days old? She said that sometimes happens. So 🤷‍♀️
DH is now stressing his sperm will be no good. 🤣 Next time I will make sure we dtd before they say, in case this happens again. So it will be 48 hours. I probably should have predicted it this time really, but then you do as you are told?But apparently they get you to do the ovulation test prescan if you are close to that point, usually. Which makes more bloody sense! On the plus side- I can go to my dentist appointment. 🤣

@paintfairy oh jeez! What a headache! I'm sure your OH swimmers will be fine. They'll be putting them in the correct place anyway so they won't have to work so hard 😂 Obv fingers crossed it works this time but if not at least they'll be prepared for your response next time and you get to keep your dentist appointment 🎉

@Crazydoglady123 I suppose if its dire they would cancel it? No idea. But on 2 days exactly he had a count of 15 million last time and they only need 8 to do it. So I'm sure there should be something?! You'd hope..... his are slow though, so let's hope there are enough of the fast ones to be useful! But yes I suppose its a learning curve!

@notyetamumbuttrying thank you I'll take a look at the Facebook group, I've started getting pain when I wee now too! 🤦🏼‍♀️ can't work out if it could be something to do with that as I know it's a symptom or if I have cistitis again 😞

@Aimzie sorry you're feeling so low, taking a little break may be good for you - no tracking etc just see how you get on? As you're younger time is on your side but see how you feel definitely don't make any rash decisions

@paintfairy only takes one 😉 IVF is like that though, they say the first cycle is almost an experiment to see how you respond to the meds

So I have had the equivalent of your appt 1... But no discussion with consultant over plan / protocol - Forms etc. all don eon the portal, but consent forms to be done tomorrow (although it's a nurse appt!

Guess I'll just wait and see how it pans out tomorrow, hard to prepare though when you don't really know what the apt is for haha

Sorry, I don't have much to update! On cd 6 today, had planned to dtd lots this week but poor dp is exhausted 😴 I don't want to force things! 2 weeks today till my scan and AMH and dps sample. I have had cramps on my right side yeaturday and today... the kind a get a few days before af 🤨? I'm thinking I might need to push to be seen for endo? I don't know if I should wait until I have had my fertility appointment first?

Anyone else feeling really 'bleh' about all this fertility stuff?

@Crazydoglady123 @RobinRose thank you, I spoke to the nurse and she thinks it definitely sounds like endo so could be a mix of endo and pcos 🤦🏼‍♀️ got to talk to the doc when I get my results.
I've been taking the magnesium so hope it helps me! I have plenty of bleh days I'm up and down like a yo-yo all month!

@RobinRose I feel bleh most of the time... Feel like it really tarnishes life at certain points, I'm sure I read someone else saying how it just takes over... I feel that!

@VenusStarr good luck for today! I have a video to watch on how to do the injections. Gonna watch it closer to when I have to start them.
@polejunkie I think it'll be discussing the drugs and process as my last appointment we signed consent forms, afc scan and was told what protocol along with final blood tests. Yes, been given the date today!! Starting injections early May and scan is booked for mid May with potential transfer end of May, can't believe it's finally happening! 🥳
@paintfairy gosh what a palaver!! I'm sure it'll go fine still but a headache you don't need! Glad you can go to the dentist still 😉
@Marvellouslymadmum hope the bloods went well! When do you get to speak to the doc? We're starting next month now but I asked if we could still try naturally and she said yes! Bit confused as pretty sure @Crazydoglady123 said she was told she couldn't 🤔 I'll be taking the same drugs you had.

@notyetamumbuttrying amazing you have your dates, how exciting!! I'm sure after all the waiting around you feel less bleh when you get the green light!! How long has that taken, since your last appt out of interest?

I was talking to my OH about booking a mini break before summer hols and then realised we can't until we know what's happening with IVF lol, once we know timeline I think we'll book something with the view that we may need a pick me up and distraction!

@polejunkie defo feel better now we're a go!! We had our first appointment with fertility in feb having waited 3 months for the date. Funding was approved in March and had bloods and scan in April and we'll start in May.
We've booked a few nights away In Norfolk in June, hopefully I'll be pregnant when we go and if not, it'll be something to look forward to if it's bad news! Yeah defo book something once you know, we just thought fuck it, 😂 we'll take a gamble with the dates.

@notyetamumbuttrying soooo excited for you! Just the news and timeline you needed in that case, imagine that, you could be growing a baby on that holiday!!

Hopefully we won't be far behind you then, our funding was approved 2 weeks ago but I'm not sure what's left to do before we can begin (after forms and meeting tomorrow etc.) I was hoping for an early July getaway... fingers crossed our dates allow that, not that I'll complain, but failing that we probably won't go anywhere again this summer lol

@notyetamumbuttrying so will it be this cycle you try naturally and then next cycle you start down regs on cd21? The reason I was told I couldn't try on that cycle is because the buserelin would be dangerous to the embryo if I did get pregnant naturally that month. Exciting you have a date to start!
