This bus is the one where TTC happens in many different forms, shagging conventionally, unconventionally, with the help of scientific intervention, IUI/ICSI/Clomid/IVF & even just watching from the top of the bus 👀. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been trying for days, weeks, months or like some of us we’ve been around each other for so long we can’t bear to leave, nothing is TMI and there’s never a silly question...

Hell we KNOW TTC is tough, lots of us have had heart ache & are chasing 🌈so we are there for each other, as well as trying to have laughs along the way 🥰☺️

On the hello fresh. Got refunded for the lost box then 10£ off next one. Oh Did a shop at Tesco and got ingredients for 5 previous meals for about same price as box maybe cheaper!

@paintfairy look back at me on my first cycle of Clomid when I wasn't monitored on it. We DTD regularly and when I was in pain and went for a private scan off my own back we found I'd released 5 eggs so was worried about quintuplets. I don't think twins is that big of a risk and just because you ovulate two eggs it doesn't guarantee both eggs taking

@DOB78 I did it I did it! Obviously was a bfn but only 9dpo today aren't we so still early lol, we'll just stay in the corner of shame for another day or two 🤭 what ic tests do you use? I have some one step ones but they are so thin... what ones are best? And sensitive do you think?

@Crazydoglady123 why were you not monitored? That's mental! But yeah I'm sure things like that happen all the time! So there is a risk. Years ago with ivf they never implanted a single embryo either?
I just hope if the trigger works, timing is right, sperm OK, then it might increase my chances of it working. They are on different ovaries, so the sperm can't even swim the wrong way! 🤣 I mean, how hard can it be? 🤷‍♀️ But yeah- statistically the chances of it working at all are low. So to get 2, is pretty unlikely. I'm still wondering what would have happened if you'd had 5! 😱

@Minster2012 no zoos nearby, but we have lots of castle ruins around to play knights, and an annual pass to visit them

DH has deposited sperm. I forgot to say yesterday that even for this- he can't do it there! Which is ridiculous. He was ranting that a baby shouldn't be made this way, and I have to agree. 🙄 I'm now waiting (he's gone home) for my appointment time. So I'm loitering!

@DOB78 that's what I thought about my DH too, but when I said I was done and this was it, turns out he wasn't and can't accept this is it, so here we are... I don't think it'll happen though but that doesn't stop me symptom spotting,it helps that I had every symptom going in different months so I know doesn't mean anything

@dollybird89 bit late to the party sorry about your AF incident! Try rubbing them with white vinegar and baking soda mixed into a paste. Used to work for my bedsheets after my endo literally bloody messes! Xx

@DOB78 do you already have children or would this be your first one? I'm 38 and feel time is running out. But I think after 6 months you should seek help if you think you need to. I didn't leave it a full year because of my age.

So we got the SA results. Quantity and quality is fine but motility is slow. So we have my thyroid issues and PCOS and now slow sperm. I feel like this might never happen.

I don't know anything about slow sperm other than a friend of ours who had it and he and his wife took 5 years to get pregnant, eventually succeeding with IVF. So that's not great.

I had suggested months ago that my husband stop some of his bad lifestyle habits just in case but he didn't.

@paintfairy I still don't fully get it I don't think! The trigger shot stops it but they seemed surprised at 2 follicles - what if it was 4? So the trigger would release for and they'd say not to go ahead with iui this cycle but swimmers would already be waiting from BD on Monday? That's how I understand it atm but nevermind - no point musing! Best of luck today, I'm so excited for you!!

Had my pre op assessment this morning. The nurse seemed shocked I'd never had any operations before lol. She said that despite the 7am slot I probably wont be released until 4-5pm and to bring an overnight bag just in case. All fine by me. The one thing I didn't appreciate was her casually mentioning I need to come in for a blood test before the weekend. Lastminute.com or what!

Thanks @kirky658 I haven't got no white vinegar atm and cars just gone in for its service.. just made some paste with water and it's sat in that for now.. if I get car back today I'll go get some oxy vanish stuff I think

@juno231 that is last minute for the bloods! When do you go in? Yep deffo take overnight bag. Last time I was admitted at 7am, had op at 8am but wasn't released till 6:30pm as was very ill! X

@Juno231 I don't think they were surprised as such. It must happen all the time when using drugs that stimulate you. Like @Crazydoglady123 said- on clomid it happened to her. And potentially even if scanned then you might have dtd before it came to light. I image if I'd had a million they'd have told me not to dtd. They might not have triggered it (no idea) in which case us dtd Monday would have been too early technically. And since we haven't managed to get pregnant in 18 months on our own, I suppose the chances of it happening are still small naturally. But if you read all the clinic sites for iui they all basically say the same thing. I was looking last night.

Anyway- I'm all done and back home. It's pretty quick. I've got to have a blood test in 7 days to confirm ovulation (not sure how that works if I'm using cyclogest?) and I can't do a pregnancy test for 2 weeks because of the trigger. Although I could test it out I guess, if I was that bothered to know. If not on cyclogest you'd test when your period didn't arrive but mine didn't last time on that anyway. Sperm count was lower than its been but still 6.8 mill so over enough. They said to dtd tonight if possible or definitely tomorrow, to cover all bases. I'll leave it until tomorrow I think! Sperm needs to recover and so do I!

@paintfairy yay well done for getting it done! Regarding what @Juno231 is saying there's a lot of girls on the Clomid threads who the consultants have let them try (naturally) when they've had 3 follicles. I believe it's over 3 they legally have to tell you to abstain. I don't agree with no tracking on Clomid. My Nhs clinics protocol was to leave you to it and 21 day blood test on second cycle of Clomid but because I ended up with loads of follicles on the second cycle they scanned me day 12 and said they have to legally tell me not to have unprotected sex. Another thing too, you may have follicles but it doesn't mean they have an egg in.

@paintfairy hope you're doing OK after such a busy few days! I don't know exactly how low because my husband spoke to the doctor and all she said was "a little low". She is posting the results out to us so we'll have to wait and see what the numbers were like.

I mentioned the fertility clinic that the nurse in the colposcopy clinic recommended to me and my doctor had never heard of it. Insane. Anyway she's going to refer us now because of the SA results so I presume they're not great.

@Crazydoglady123 not monitoring sounds crazy! But yeah I imagined it happened a lot. And true! I better have one bloody egg come out though. 🤣
@Somatronic our first one was low. 25%. The second was 35% and so classed as normal. Even though it could be better really. But his count is always really high. So that offsets it a bit. So it might not be dire? You'll have to see when you get the numbers.
