This bus is the one where TTC happens in many different forms, shagging conventionally, unconventionally, with the help of scientific intervention, IUI/ICSI/Clomid/IVF & even just watching from the top of the bus 👀. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been trying for days, weeks, months or like some of us we’ve been around each other for so long we can’t bear to leave, nothing is TMI and there’s never a silly question...

Hell we KNOW TTC is tough, lots of us have had heart ache & are chasing 🌈so we are there for each other, as well as trying to have laughs along the way 🥰☺️

@notyetamumbuttrying oh glad you are seeing an improvement in symptoms already. That's encouraging. Last cd1 I literally cried like a baby and that was with codeine. Think the hsg may have made it worse. I will push. If my appointment ever shows up, still waiting to be called back.

@bez91 hopefully it's just some off cycle(s)? I have heard some months you just don't ovulate and it's normal? Anyone else heard that? I tracked BBT for only about 4 months of the year so don't have enough to know if that's true for me. Whatever happens at least you've found out and hopefully you can get some help!

@MartyMcShy you are already doing amazing with the caffeine I wouldn't say you need to take it down more? I cut down to one cup of coffee and then that's it since last jan but there are a few days I have a couple of cups and I wouldn't have thought it was a big deal

@Katao you are in pain is that what you are saying on CD1? That's not good

They won't let you proceed in our clinic with more than 1 follicle @paintfairy! They will surgically remove more follicles to avoid the risk of a multiple pregnancy. Obviously it could still happen naturally but they won't leave it happen if they can see multiple follicles. They said they can cancel the cycle if the risk is too high! And defo no dtd before hand! Sounds like our two clinics have v different approaches!

Oh just saw your comment @Minster2012! Thanks, I'm thinking the same. Think I'm just trying to find ways to help my chances but I don't drink much caffeine anyway and I like my one good cup every day!

@Minster2012 no not right now but yesterday with ovulation and start of the cycle with very painful af just moaning in general! Seems like the longer I'm off the pill the worse it gets and still no baby ffs 🤣

@Minster2012 well no more calorific hello fresh meals after tomorrow 😆 and hopefully I can start exercising next week. Still a bit too sore for high impact, but hoping another week and I'll be good. Even if I could do half a stone before transfer date which won't be until end of May, I'll be happy 😃

@notyetamumbuttrying mine are Ovaleap. There's a lot of girls on the IVF thread on Menopur who I'm sure will help. The care videos are good. I watched the Ovaleap one again earlier before I did mine just to refresh myself

@MartyMcShy Google says dtd seems to be encouraged, so I'm not sure why you are told not to? Multiple pregnancy on the other hand is less than ideal. Surgically removing follicles seems extreme though? Surely you'd just wait until the next cycle instead? But given the chance of iui working is something like 13%, I'm not really sure how high the risk of having 2 would be? It better not happen is all I'll say. Having 2 isn't really an issue to me, but physically carrying 2 at my age, I do wonder if my body would cope!

@bez91 its definitely normal to have odd cycles you don't ovulate. So if it's a one off, I wouldn't worry? Just crap timing re the blood test though! Can you book another for next month?

@paintfairy I think I agree with @MartyMcShy 's clinic's approach. You're lucky you only have two follicles but could have ended up with lots more no?

@Juno231 yes you can end up with more. That's why they gave me the shot- to stop it all. If there's more than 2 then they won't do it anyway. If you have pcos they wont either.

I was always astounded at the different clinics procedures and things for everything when I was on the ivf boards @paintfairy @MartyMcShy it's weird how much they vary even with say 2 lots of NHS here let alone your private @MartyMcShy

@bez91 well the house is now getting to solicitors so that's good! And I had another valuation of ours on Monday (last one was last aug) and we are staggeredly pleased, so yeah that's a turn up which is also good news (DH now concerned that things are going TOO well and something will happen) 😬

@Minster2012 it definitely varies a lot! I was just reading another nhs hospital though and the max is 2 there too. So maybe that's an nhs thing. I've no idea on private, but I did look at one and there was a lesbian couple that had twins! The odds are like 8% though? If it was 80% I think I'd be saying no. 🤣 But if you were on clomid for example and ttc naturally, wouldn't there also be a risk of twins?
I think IVF is even more of a minefield? So many more variables and ways to do it differently. Also clinic stats aren't really reliable? You could only treat patients it was likely to work for and artificially inflate your stats? Or be a clinic who goes out of their way to help less likely couples and therefore have lower stats. Or good stats but terrible people skills? 🤣 I have the option of 2 if we get that far. And the one with better stats, I read was more disorganised? Who knows! 🙈

I think I'll be packing ttc in if we aren't lucky this month I just can't take it, it's impacting on everything I can't relax.
