Hi ladies, been MIA as I've just exchanged contracts buying my first home so been busy! Move date in 3 weeks!

So I stopped the pill at the end of my last cycle, had AF as normal and I'm now CD10. My apps all say I'm due to ovulate next week so I decided to try and OPK today to see if my body is starting to return to normal (going to hold off ttc this month) and as I'd never used one before I obviously had no idea what I am doing and I took the test around 10.40am which I now know to be too early. The test came back as "low" and this is what I expected. Ovia app had give me a fertility score of 2 (out of 10) but since I inputted a low score on my OPK it's raised my score to 5 and my ovulation day has come forward to Wednesday! I'm going to keep testing this week to see if I get a peak but wow I didn't expect this at all! Does this seem right?

@ChinChilly I almost stopped tracking bbt too but temptation got the better of me and I only missed yesterday! 🤦🏻‍♀️ I have decided not to tell DH when I'm in my fertile week though as I think he feels too pressured! I'll be aiming for every other day too. Hope AF has chilled out and eased off a bit for you today!

Thank you all for your messages! I weirdly feel very calm about it- maybe it hasn’t hit me yet!! I’ve just been at a baby shower so it all feels so surreal because I’ve just gone about my normal day 😂😂

I came off the pill at the end of September, had a withdrawal bleed straight away and had 39 day cycle before getting my normal period. After that I had two 28 day cycles which I thought wow this is great but I’m pretty sure I wasn’t actually ovulating because I’ve never had short cycles in my life. I then had 36& a 37 which is more normal for me. So we were trying properly for 5 cycles.

I tracked a bit this cycle but kinda gave up because of being so busy with work so I don’t have a chart. We just DTD every other day. I would lay down for at least 20 mins after with legs up in the air. Yes literally in the air 😂. I have been taking seven seas pre conception tablets and I can’t remember who but someone recommended vitamin D. I’m mixed race so was probably deficit anyways so I got quite a high dose one.

I only tracked one cycle with temps and I had a 14 day LP so I didn’t really need to do anything for that but I was so impatient that I took soy isoflavones this cycle. I’m not sure I would recommend as I’m sure it delayed my ovulation and I got awful headaches with them.

I don’t think I really had any symptoms before AF was late that made me think i could be pregnant. My RHR was slightly higher when I think I ovulated but nothing massive. I’ve turned my HR monitor off now because I know I’ll get obsessed! I did get a really bad cold that could have been my symptoms I guess as I was so tired. OH did Google it and apparently your immune system lowers to allow the implantation so he told me I was pregnant as soon as I got ill!

Based on my normal cycle of approx 37 days I’m 5+3 weeks ( but who knows!)

My boobs are fuller but not massive.
I would say that after AF was late I would say I’m really tired- like I haven’t worked out at all where I normal do every day for like 20-30 mins. I keep getting AF style cramps but mostly in the middle of the night. I’ve been quite hungry as well. Wine tasted like vinegar to me and I’ve completely gone off the idea of drinking (I’d normally have a glass after work on a Friday and I literally can’t wait for it but I don’t even want one at all!) CM is creamy still and not really a lot more than is normal at the moment! I have noticed now my cold is going that my sense of smell is definitely heightened!

I really want to go for an early scan so I might try convince OH 😂.

My due date is showing as 9th December based on last AF- our anniversary is 10th December!! But also my birthday is in December 😂

I'm selfishly hoping the Soy Iso helped because this is my first ovulation during a Soy Iso cycle too haha 😄 🤞

I walked 15 miles today, it look 5 hours and I'm exhausted! Lol. I'm training for a big charity walk of about 60 miles in July (over 2 days)... but I suppose I'll have to rethink those plans if I get pregnant?? Oops... 😅

Sorry I've been MIA ladies - uni assignments and work.

Scan still isn't sorted so going private through the health insurance and I've also paid for an AMH blood test (£79) as our trust doesn't do them / health insurance don't cover it either.

A year TTC next month so will be banging the GP door down for a referral to the 'fertility support clinic'. I know I don't qualify for IVF which isn't something we would consider but reading the information we should get some sort of support.

I haven't ovulated this month either going by my OPK test strips which potentially linked to getting COVID vaccine it has knocked me completely off sync as ended up having a very long bleed 🩸. We shall see if AF arrives on Tuesday to reset the cycle.

@Kay00 I’m sure I read somewhere that most people get their BFP in the first 3 soy cycles! Fingers crossed for you too- it would be so great if we both got it on the same cycle!

@Sperr I thought based on what I googled I was 7 + 3 but I was actually 6+4 apparently but they still managed to see and hear heartbeat!

@Sperr Can I ask if you did do any OPK’s through any of your cycles? I’m abit like you - had my expected withdrawal bleed, then my first actual period a little longer than yours at 42 days later. I’m now not sure when to expect the next one, whether she’ll pop up after 28 (which is what they were when I was on the patch!) or whether they’re going to continue to be a little irregular.

I will mention that today especially I’ve been getting odd little cramps. Kind of feels abit like before a period is due, but not as painful. Just a dull ache. Could this be ovulation pain? Any input would be great!

@FlyingGiraffe Ah okay. I’ll start popping them under that tab from tomorrow then. Thank you! I never knew there was so much to this TTC malarkey, haha. I’ve not even properly actively started to time DTD yet (wanted to wait a little while for my body to readjust and wasn’t keen on a December baby for financial reasons!) and already my head wasn’t prepared for how much there is to take in! 😂

@JT90 I used clear blue opks but I must have had two peaks this cycle because I definitely didn’t ovulate at the first one! I only used them because I was not working from home anymore so it would be hard to do the cheapies. Do you temp or wear a RHR monitoring watch?

@JT90 the pain I had when I last ovulated was on my right side next to my hip and it woke me up at 7am haha bit like intense stabbing period pain but was sharp and next to my hip not on my belly.. hopefully it's ovulation pain you're feeling! 🤞🏽

@JT90 it lasted about 15 minutes was pacing up and down trying to get rid of it, eventually fell back asleep then woke up did an OPK and it was a big fat positive x

Girls can I have your wise words? I'm 14dpo, due on today(ish). I've been v lightly spotting for 2-3 days. Still no proper period this eve so I got impulsive and did a cheapy boots test. First pic is within the 10 min window. V v v slight line. Second is about 12 mins after testing so outside of the windows. Thoughts?

@Sperr Do you mean you didn’t ovulate after your first actual period before the second one came. Or didn’t ovulate between the withdrawal bleed, and that first period? I’ve been using cheap eBay ones since Wednesday, which would be 9 days past AF. Nothing has peaked yet, but I’m still gonna test for a while as I’ve only had one period so far, so have no idea what day would be my ovulation day or even if they’re coming back to regular with the next period! Just thought I would just incase the next one pops up after 28 days and they do return to that cycle like when I was on the patch. Thought better to try catch it mid cycle than not.

@MissM94 Ahhh, okay. Mine hasn’t been like that yet. But tbh this is the first time I’ve had anything like this mid cycle, would never get twinges or aches on my contraception. It was all very smooth for me on the patch. Only a few cramps a few days before AF showed!

@Nellieee do you have the proper coloured one and did you do one this morning?

I just got my first BFN 😔 we were 98% sure we'd missed it so I don't know why I am, but I'm really disappointed. Now just got to wait to see if AF decides to turn up for the first time in 12 years! 😅

@Nellieee I can definitely see it in the second pic but if you're 14dpo I'm not sure it bodes well to have such squinters :(

@Sperr @Emmgrem congratulations you two!! We go through a dry spell and then BAM - two BFPs in one day.

I'm out ladies. 12 DPO, temp plummeted, BFN on FRER and period is starting. Absolutely gutted and really struggling with it all this morning :( Anyone got any words of wisdom or advice for getting through the next few days? Currently sat at my desk crying so it's not going well. I panic bought soy isoflavones last night so they're coming today, so going to read through the whole thread and decide which days to take them this month to try and bring ovulation forward as I can't handle another day 27 ovulation.
