Thanks for the new thread @TheHotelCalifornia love the write up!

Juno231 · 07/04/2021 09:41

Thank you @TheHotelCalifornia !

Think AF has started today so I'll just sit in the back corner of the garden for now...

ChinChilly · 07/04/2021 09:51

Thanks for the new thread @TheHotelCalifornia love the write up!

My temp went up again slightly this morning, will see what happens tomorrow!

Moocher90 · 07/04/2021 10:01

Thanks for setting up the new thread @TheHotelCalifornia x

Went for bloods today for thyroid and day 3 bloods despite being day 4 for me. I’m not bleeding which is strange as usually have a four day AF but it’s all ended.

Start thyroid meds today too

Juno231 · 07/04/2021 10:18

@ChinChilly wow can't believe you're managing not to test so far!

@moocher90 day 4 is fine - I think you can take them up to day 5 technically. I hope the thyroid meds help!

Flowers222 · 07/04/2021 10:46

@TheHotelCalifornia great intro! Thanks for the new thread

@ChinChilly still a good looking chart! 🤞

My temp went back up again today. But after the bfn yesterday and the slight cramps today I'm still sure I am out and just waiting for af now.

@Juno231 @Flowers222 Tbh I’ve normally started spotting by now, I was really tempted to test this morning seen as my RHR also went back up but also terrified! I’m actually gonna try hold out until Friday, I used most of my free FRERs last month so I can’t justify my last 2 just yet 😂😂

@Moocher90 hope the bloods went well and your meds kick in soon! Will be interessting to see if your levels have come down since your GF/DF diet

feliznavidad2 · 07/04/2021 10:55

Please may I join? Stopped pill nearly one month ago, no withdrawal bleed as yet but lots of cramping/bloating and grumpiness. Blush

MissM94 · 07/04/2021 11:04

Thank you @TheHotelCalifornia 🎉

MissM94 · 07/04/2021 11:06

Weird one, but does anyone know why we have that dark blood at the end of a period?
My periods are 3 days long these days, light but in the 3rd day it's just pure black/brown period!
Thank you in advance!

Juno231 · 07/04/2021 11:36

@feliznavidad2 welcome! If you're grumpy this is the right place to be lol!

@MissM94 it's just old blood at that point I think? It's taken longer to come out so started going brown.

Cams50 · 07/04/2021 12:03

@TheHotelCalifornia thanks for setting up the new thread and great intro!

@ChinChilly and @Flowers222 both great looking charts so I’m still hopeful for you both 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

@Juno231 sorry about AF 😔

@feliznavidad2 😞 hope you get your withdrawal bleed soon 🤞🏻

So the doctors rang my DH just now and asked him to retake his semen analysis but didn’t say why and now I’m starting to panic as this only seems to happen if something is abnormal from I read?! Or no semen at all?! I’m jumping to worst case scenarios but I’m scared. I just wish they said why as I could deal with that more than the not knowing. He’s going to try ringing the hospital later or message the doctor as opposed to the receptionist who rang him. I’ve spent so long worrying it’s me that I hadn’t really considered it was him. Anyway it might be nothing but that’s today’s panic lol

HRHXO · 07/04/2021 12:39

Hi ladies, can I join please? I stopped taking the pill last month after 15 years on it (I'm now 30). Just finished AF and no idea what to expect of my cycle. I have some cheap OPKs to see if my body returns to normal very quickly (fingers crossed!) But I think this month we won't actively TTC as I want to see how my body reacts without the pill and we also want to avoid a baby too close to Christmas and my fiancé's birthday due to financial reasons. I don't even know how to use my OPKs! Currently CD7 and this would be my first pregnancy.

ChinChilly · 07/04/2021 12:48

@feliznavidad2 Hi 🙋🏼‍♀️ my first few months off the pill were abit of a whirlwind!!

@Cams50 oh no, maybe there were just a problem with them processint the SA that’s why they need a new one.

@MissM94 I think the brown stuff is just old blood that takes a while to shift it’s way out, I get it at the start and end of my period.

@HRHXO Hi 🙋🏼‍♀️ you can start OPKs when you like especially so soon after coming off the pill, your body might be abit confused. Then once you’ve established a pattern you can just it arount those days. I think they say with OPKs not to use FMU and to try do them at the same time of day...I just do them whenever the urge takes out...self confessed POAS addict over here 😂

ChinChilly · 07/04/2021 12:49

Eurgh so mant typos!!!! 😂

Juno231 · 07/04/2021 13:06

@HRHXO welcome! Sounds like you've got a good approach set up :) I'd probably start testing around CD9 this cycle and then adjust it going forward as you get more of an idea of when you ovulate.

@cams50 it could be them that messed it up by testing it outside of the 1h window tbh!

Kay00 · 07/04/2021 13:16

@thehotelcalifornia haha I love the write up. And can definitely imagine us all sat there, delicately sipping tea... I would probably be stuffing my face with cake as I have zero self control 😂

@hrhxo and @feliznavidad2 welcome to the party!!

@juno231 damn!! I had a good feeling for you about this cycle xx

@flowers222 I hope your not out just yet xx

@chinchilly ooh, exciting!! We will be fanning our selves in anticipation for your test on Friday!!

Kay00 · 07/04/2021 13:20

@cams50 I think its a good idea to contact the GP, hopefully its just a technical error with the test rather than anything wrong with OH's sample.

I'm 5 (possibly 4) DPO and I'm feeling pretty pleased that I actually ovulated! It's nice to be back in the game!

AllyCat31 · 07/04/2021 13:25

Yay new thread, thanks @TheHotelCalifornia

Hi @HRHXO I was also on the pill for 15 years and I’m 31 TTC baby 1, first cycle. I did a similar thing to you and tested for a few cycles to see what’s what. My cycle basically never got regular (72-56 day cycles so far) so I just OPK from CD10 until I get a line then twice a day to work out the peak. Ive worked it out the last few months but it’ hard going. I would recommend getting a cup or something to pee in that’s easier than trying to pee on the stick 😂

LauraT94 · 07/04/2021 13:30

@TheHotelCalifornia thank you for the new thread!

Just popping my head in so I can stay and lurk 👀😂❤️

Gracie2021 · 07/04/2021 14:02

@TheHotelCalifornia thanks for the invite. Perching daintily ready for the tea ☕️

@AllyCat31 @HRHXO @MissM94 @feliznavidad2 think I missed a few welcomes. Hope your journeys here are brief and productive 👍

@Kay00 lovely rise. Fingers crossed!

@Cams50 hope ye get answers before too long. I'm like that, always prefer to be kept in the loop as without knowing what's up the kind can hit through dozens of possibilities. Glad that things are moving for ye though. How long are ye trying now if you don't mind me asking? If this cycle doesn't take, we're at 10 months so planning to at least open discussions with my doctor then.

@ChinChilly well done for the will power and glad you've seen another rise. Fingers crossed for you for Friday.

@Flowers222 you're not out til you're out. Fingers crossed.

Just in terms of reaching out to my doctor, he's a guy and have been with him a long time so tons of history and trust built up. But hearing about possible future trans vaginal ultrasounds etc etc I think I'd be more comfortable with a woman if we end up moving forward with fertility testing in the months ahead etc. Anyone moved doctor within their surgery for this reason? Hopefully getting ahead of myself but figure not a bad idea to think about it now.

ChinChilly · 07/04/2021 14:20

@Gracie2021 my GP surgery is a ‘medical centre’ with loads of GPs so you literally just get whoever is available, I don’t even know who my actual GP is, I think it’s more than reasonable to ask to speak to female GP, although I’m sure your male GP has seen a heard much worse things 😂😂 when my OH was pulling a face about doing an SA I was like do you really think your jar of jizz is the worst thing that doctor seen 🤣

@Kay00 I just need to sit on my hands until Friday I’m already thinking if I hold myself until I get home will that be a long enough hold 😂

Gracie2021 · 07/04/2021 14:23

@ChinChilly so funny. Tbh I think my hubby got a fright when I mentioned we weren't too far off him having to do an SA. Think it gave him a bit of a shock 😂😂🙈

Omg 😳 now you have me half hoping you do one today as I'm excited for you. But also respecting the will power if you do manage to make it to friday!

Cams50 · 07/04/2021 14:43

@ChinChilly @Kay00 @Juno231 @Gracie2021 thank you! So he just picked up the referral letter from the GP for the SA retake and it had the results attached thankfully. So he has really low morphology which is disappointing but it can improve with lifestyle changes over time and at least he has sperm there as I know there can be none. Everything else was normal. But it does make it all the harder for us to conceive naturally. And that’s without further investigations for me! Gah this is all so much harder than I thought.

@Kay00 so happy you’re in with a change this month!

@Gracie2021 we’re trying 12 months now. We started the investigations about 2 months and it’s taken this long for this so worth starting for your own peace of mind but hopefully you’ll be successful this month so won’t need to! Also I’ve had ultrasounds in the past for breakthrough bleeding on the pill and the GP refers you to a hospital so he wouldn’t do the ultrasound himself I don’t think if that helps.

Juno231 · 07/04/2021 14:46

@Gracie2021 hm do you think your GP will be the one doing it? Mine always just referred me to the local hospital for ultrasounds etc. It's usually done by an ultrasound specialist and not just your run of the mill GP I don't think! So I wouldn't worry :)

@ChinChilly Friday! How on earth am I meant to last that long Grin

@Kay00 ah that's the clearest ovulation you've had in MONTHS. What a beaut. Do you think it was the soy that did it or complete fluke?
