OMG today’s ovulation test is so much stronger! I know this isn’t quite a positive but it’s the darkest I’ve got yet! 🥳

That’s clear! @Farfaraway1

CD 17 and I’m still getting a HIGH on clear blue monitor 😔.

I’ve not been later than day 18 so far, so let’s see what tomorrow brings, I guess. Also glad I’ve got that acupuncture booked in early April, I suppose.

Feanorous · 25/03/2021 07:20

Morning ladies 😊

@Farfaraway1 wahoo bring on OV!

This was my first month testing with opks and glad I did as I started getting highs on CD9 which surprised me as I thought I was A regular 13/14 day ovulation. I've been getting highs since the peak too, is that right? Does it mean I have a long surge? I had OV pain on 9,10,11 and 12!

Only 2dpo 😭 I need to divert my attention to something else!
X

@Feanorous highs can last several days past peak, that's fine. Peak is the important thing and ov date generally 24-36 hours after that

soontobeamama · 25/03/2021 09:03

Thank you @twelvestars

I got a flashing smiley face this morning on my Clear Blue ovulation test - woohoo! Grin

Ooh thank you. Good to know! x

@Lexber I find those sticks impossible!! I switched to CB which I know are more pricey but do feel worth it. What I can do this month is I'll take a pic of the used reader with CB, so we can compare the line darkness with CB reading, as I think it's surprisingly light. I know last month I was comparing how dark the lines were on CB when it says you're ovulating, and it's a lot lighter than you'd think. @climbershell has posted about this a fair bit - was it this thread or old one? I found her pictures v useful. But for sure you have had a surge CD12/13. As @M4v3r1cksaid, I find CB better because it's first morning pee. Any other time and I'm doomed to forget/f**k up and drink a pint of water in a panic then wonder why it's not reading anything! lolol

Lexber · 25/03/2021 09:28

Still low and used FMU @climbershell

I'm so emotional and feeling shit today which makes me wonder if AF is coming? I know my body is all over so don't know what to expect at the minute.
I sat and cried over nothing because I just feel so tired and shit, feeling like I've put so much weight on (which I haven't maybe 7lbs in a month?) and generally really crap... which fits with AF or Ov symptoms for me?! Lol

Do you ladies still get low readings before af??

Eurgh! I guess the unknown is the worst part for me right now, sorry I just needed to rant as I know you guys will understand! Xx

notyetamumbuttrying · 25/03/2021 09:28

@thislittlebird I hope it helps it too! Keep us posted on it. I'm thinking once we start ivf I'll take up the counselling they offer.
We've been trying for no1 similar timings as you. Finished pill sept19 but didn't time dtd so it's was basically from oct19, with no breaks. I have short cycles too so FW starts as soon as AF ends and I can't wait to stop timing sex 🥱 is that May appointment your first fertility one?
@Pamparam good job with holding off! You may as well wait until it's a concrete answer instead of squinting at lines 😂 I won't test until I'm late now. I hate getting bfns so i stopped with early testing.
@Kitekat81 how long have you been ttc for then? We're 18 months now so it's ivf for us next! It's funny as it was all on Dh first cos if his low numbers but now he's fine, they've realised I might not be 🤦🏾‍♀️

With the opk's I don't use the cheapy ones but have heard PM is better for them. If you're using CB digital then FMU and you tend to ovulate the day after peak.

Lexber · 25/03/2021 09:29

Thanks @Geriatric1234 I think I'm just fed up if feeling confused and just generally feel meh - see last post xx

Marvellouslymadmum · 25/03/2021 10:08

@Farfaraway1 yay that should be you in your fw now! I got a flashing smiley today so I'm in bd mode haha

@thislittlebird great that your skin is starting to get better even if it is slowly, still progress!

@Lexber sorry you're feeling low, it's so hard when you just don't know what's going on, I have points every month where I'm confused at what my body is up to! Hope you're feeling better soon

Pamparam · 25/03/2021 10:31

Good morning and welcome newbies.

AF still not here, very slight, quite pale spotting over the last two days. My RHR has dropped another point though so it’s dropped one every day for the last 4. It’s still 3ish higher than this point last month (adjusting for longer cycle) but I’m not going to get my hopes up.

Will test Saturday with my out of date test if no AF by then 😂

TTCat39 · 25/03/2021 10:42

@Lexber I'm so sorry you're feeling low. TTC is such a heavy burden to carry. I struggle with not feeling in control generally, so I know how you feel when you say you're just frustrated because you don't know what's going on. I seem to be getting on with CB OPKs and it's shown me pretty consistent results for the three months I've been using them. It's BBT that has been stressing me out. I was desperate to see what's going on so I've had an alarm set for 5.30 every morning as I rarely woke up before then so figured it might be the most accurate reading. But I don't actually need to get up at that time so I've been finding it hard to go back to sleep afterwards.
I think I've cracked C.M. charting so the next challenge for me is getting to grips with my cervix position. To me, it always seems high, so I am not finding it useful to chart that.

I suppose what I'm saying is that I'm also desperate to take control, so I'm looking for whatever methods I can to feel like I'm doing that. But in the process probably making myself more neurotic and stressed!

Thanks for you and hope that you feel better soon. x

Noodella18 · 25/03/2021 10:51

@pamparam, so is your period late now??

I'm 7dpo and fighting the urge to test, although I know it's ridiculously early.

I had a few insistent stabbing pains in the uterus yesterday, like somebody was poking me with a needle every few seconds, lasted a minute or so and then went away. Fingers crossed it was something burrowing in!

Pamparam · 25/03/2021 11:04

Sorry you’re so low @Lexber. I can’t get on with the strips. CB takes the guesswork out for me. It’s just a shame it’s so expensive. I hate the rollercoaster so much and feel slightly anxious every time I think about it all... which is about every 12 minutes. I hope you feel brighter soon x

Pamparam · 25/03/2021 11:06

@Noodella18 nah according to adjusted period app after positive OPK its due on Sunday CD33 (usually 28/29 days with an occasional rogue 32er)

Loladoodle · 25/03/2021 11:14

@TTCat39 take 50mg of b6 daily - it is life changing re anxiety/pms/short cycles/spotting. I’ve took this for a very long time daily and have noticed all these benefits 👍

TTCat39 · 25/03/2021 11:19

Thanks @Loladoodle Did you have to get the higher dose on prescription?

Lexber · 25/03/2021 11:40

Thanks lovely ladies I think it's just the whole hormonal rollercoaster that's not helping as after 9 years on the coil my body is all over.
12 days bleeding then up and down I will be glad to get a damn good AF and get some sort of balance and normality..

I think my current feels are partially the hormonal crash and withdrawal so I'm trying to hold tight and wait for the Big Dipper to take me to the end lol

Loladoodle · 25/03/2021 11:43

@TTCat39 no not prescribed just bought from Holland and Barrett

Lalala1985 · 25/03/2021 12:03

Question re BBT, do you find that stress raises your temp? Just had quite a high reading today after waking up feeling quite stressed about work. Just wondering if it's something to take into account. Also is it OK to take temp after you've hit the snooze button a few times?

TTCat39 · 25/03/2021 12:08

@Lalala1985 I've found the only way I can rely on a temp reading not being waaaay off the charts is to set a really early alarm and then only record it when I know I've been sleeping well for several hours (more than 3) and literally the only movement I've made is to reach across and pick up the thermometer! Even then I'm not getting a smooth curve. Here's mine from this month, taken every day at 5.30am and recording every one.

TTCat39 · 25/03/2021 12:09

@Loladoodle Thank you, I'm going to give it a go!

Lalala1985 · 25/03/2021 12:32

@TTCat39 thank you! I need to get better at waking in the morning. And thinking of it I don't think I got 3 hours uninterrupted before taking it as I remember my dog waking me up by climbing onto the bed and sniffing my face!
