@Kitekat81 exciting! Must be nice to have it all in place ready to start though.

@thislittlebird I'm sure it'll be really good for you getting away and relaxing, a month of just dtd when you want with no tracking can definitely be a good thing!

@Gummybear17 🤞🏻 for darker test lines and a sticky bean for you too!

thislittlebird · 17/04/2021 13:25

God I would really just love it to happen naturally. Feels so sad that it won’t. But I need to just deal with whatever will be will be somehow.

@notyetamumbuttrying sadly I’m rarely relaxed because I’m an anxious Annie lol. But it will be nice to be in different forest surroundings and just chilling out and eating. We’re only going to Center Parcs, we booked it last year in the pandemic knowing we can self cater there and they’d be likely to move it. So a trip to the forest, some cycling (watch this kill me, it’s been a long time lol) and eating nice food really. Maybe a bbq or two and some low alcohol drinks!

@Marvellouslymadmum problem is there’s no when I want anymore lol. I don’t really want at all, I’m very over it all. And you can’t escape knowing when the fertile week is etc. But we’ll just be slightly more relaxed I suppose, making it up as we go along rather than “upstairs? I’m ovulating tomorrow” and so on. I’ll be away from cd 9-14.

Misty84 · 17/04/2021 13:39

@Yumcoffee congratulations!! I’m on Cycle 21 too so this gives me hope! Please send some good luck vibes!! (And tell us any tips haha)

@Kitekat81 Exactly, wouldn’t want to risk flushing anything out!😱

@thislittlebird Can I come on your holiday?! Sounds lovely! I really agree with what you said about reviews being skewed etc🙄 Makes it so hard to make the best decisions!

notyetamumbuttrying · 17/04/2021 13:41

@thislittlebird I'm anxious Annie too! Are we twins 👯‍♀️ lol! Aw sounds fab, I'm sure you'll have a great time and fresh air, exercising and eating out all sounds ideal to me 👌🏾

thislittlebird · 17/04/2021 13:54

@Misty84 we’ll smuggle you in!

I’m excited about not walking round the same 1 mile radius lol. Might even see some wildlife. I really feel like I need it right now, the past week at work has been knackering.

Having to consider IVF is overwhelming and I guess I also need to think about it not working. I don’t think about either outcome right now, just that I need to try.

thislittlebird · 17/04/2021 13:56

@notyetamumbuttrying the curse of the anxious annie! I know cycling is not good for him but it’s not like his sperm are normal before riding around on a bike, so whatever. Definitely looking forward to the food and fresh air! When I get back I need to take healthy eating a little more seriously.

Misty84 · 17/04/2021 14:01

@thislittlebird Same here, not really thinking about the outcome just that we have to try. It’s felt like an impossible dream for a while now.

thislittlebird · 17/04/2021 14:14

@Misty84 yeah that sums it up. I have to try.

I just can’t work out what our chances are really with his motility and my questionable ovulation. But we need to continue to try while we wait, and I’ll ask the hospital about clomid as well as IVF/ICSI. I assume we’ll be seeing a nurse at the clinic and not a consultant when we go.

notyetamumbuttrying · 17/04/2021 14:21

@thislittlebird lol! Yeah don't worry about that. Just enjoy the time away together. I need to sort my eating out too. It's on my latest notes to get my bmi to 25! It's 28 something at mo 😩
You had a date to be seen yet?

thislittlebird · 17/04/2021 14:37

@notyetamumbuttrying exactly. I’ve eaten so many crisps the last week. When work gets busy my good habits go out of the window. I need to get back to trying harder and lose a bit. I think my bmi was about 26 but after this holiday it might be 27 Confused

May 17 still for our appointment but I’m twitchy about it. The secretary never called me back when I tried to put his latest results on file. Think I’m going to send a pre-emptive email to PALS explaining my concerns to date.

notyetamumbuttrying · 17/04/2021 14:52

@thislittlebird I find I stress eat too, plus ttc has prob made us all anxious wrecks so that doesn't help either! 😣
Good idea with contacting PALS, you've not been treated fairly at all!

Yumcoffee · 17/04/2021 15:20

Thank you everyone ! So kind! Its so early but 🤞Been pg once before (early mc in 2019). Obviously I am incredibly anxious and googling how to protect the bean but it is just another thing out of our control in this journey so trying to be happy for today!

@KatRee, @KiteKat81 & @Misty84 ok here's a mega list! I don't think I did much different from anyone else. I'm on all the starts with the egg book supplements
Multivitamin
Ubiquinol 400
Folic acid as methylfolate 800
Vit d 4000
Vit c
Vit e (going to stop that for now)
Alpha lipoic acid
N-Acetyl Cysteine

gasp for breath

This cycle I started taking 75mg of aspirin don't really remember why 🙃 just wanted to try something?! Does anyone know if i should keep taking it?

Another thing is I have always been veggie but started eating fish twice a week since Jan :(

Hmm what else ? Eating lots of protien, walks a few times a week. Bit of half arsed yoga. Me and bf have had an incredibly stressful time the last 3 months so please don't anyone fret too much about their anxiety affecting chances of conceiving at least.

Also I believe chatting to you guys brought me some luck!

We only dtd twice - the 2 days before ov

Bf had his sperm test and they were okish but not great. We've got him some supplements so he can start those if this doesn't stick.

Will keep testing every day.

@thislittlebird That's why I came to tell u guys immediately, to spread the hope! I love Center Parcs have a lovely time!

@MgW1 yes good spot 👀 easy @ home. You know your tests 😂 luckily they come in a big pack so i can keep testing & I think they are quite sensitive?

@notyetamumbuttrying sounds like you'll be in a much stronger position from next month! Good luck!

Good luck with your appointments everyone!

Special good luck for @Misty84 cycle 21!!

❤ Fingers crossed for u @Gummybear17 I don't think cramping is a bad thing, think it's quite common xx

I really hope there's good news for everyone soon!

Yumcoffee · 17/04/2021 15:21

Woh! Sorry for HUGE post Confused

Misty84 · 17/04/2021 15:37

Ah thanks @Yumcoffee for sharing that 🙂 I might add a few of those supplements to my ever-growing supply!

thislittlebird · 17/04/2021 16:20

@notyetamumbuttrying yeah I’ve not complained to date and I think I need to start complaining more. The GP won’t do anything but write a reply back excusing themselves I’m sure, but I don’t want any more cockups.

@Yumcoffee thanks, I might be a few pounds heavier at the end of the week of eating unfortunately haha

I’ve cut back on supplements now I’ve started taking them again. Not having as many as I was before, will see how I get on. Want to take magnesium again with my b6 but I can’t while I’m still on meds.

Kitekat81 · 17/04/2021 20:46

Thanks @Yumcoffee for this detailed list! Have everything crossed that this is a sticky bean for you 🤞🤞🤞

Lots of luck to you as well @Gummybear17!

@thislittlebird sounds idyllic! I hope you have a lovely relaxing week.

@M4v3r1ck are we still cycle buddies? I'm 1dpo with af due 29 April.

Marvellouslymadmum · 17/04/2021 22:14

@thislittlebird I was actually thinking as I was typing that you'd still kind of know if you were in with a chance even though you weren't tracking, but hopefully a bit more relaxed at least!

@Yumcoffee so interesting to hear what people are doing when they get their bfp, thank you for sharing!

Noodella18 · 18/04/2021 06:26

Hi all, been out of the loop for a couple of weeks, winring myself up about ovulation. Having been very regular 28 days since getting my periods back after my daughter, last month was a 32 day cycle and this month I still haven't ovulated on cycle day 19. Having tried to figure out why ovulation is so late, I've seen lots and lots of reports about vitamin b complex messing things up for some people, even leading to anovulatiry cycles for months on end, even enter stopping the supplements. I have been taking quite a concentrated dose of b complex this month and now I'm freaking out that I'm not going to ovulate at all this month and beyond. What is everyone else's experience of b complex? I know lots of you take it!

M4v3r1ck · 18/04/2021 08:32

@Yumcoffee omg 😍😍😍😍😍😍 super huge congratulations! I hope this is a healthy, happy, sticky BFP!!! 😘😘😘

@Misty84 ah damn! Funny I don't mind bbt checking and it seems to work pretty well for me. It's those pesky OPKs that drive me mad! 🤪

@Kitekat81 so exiting you've decided! 😍😍😍 when will you start with Create? I'm CD17 and supposedly around 3DPO acc to my various apps. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 for us!!!

@Gummybear17 omg 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 for you too!!!

@thislittlebird centre parcs is fab! I'm jealous! 😍

@Noodella18 sorry this has happened to you! I'd need others to confirm, but I'm certain someone said in an earlier thread that B vits can increase your cycle. I'm pretty regular and around 27 days, so because of that, I decided not to take those vits.

OP posts:
Sleeeeeepy · 18/04/2021 10:08

Congratulations @Yumcoffee what lovely news!! Everything crossed for a happy, healthy nine months for you.

@Noodella18 I take vit b complex to lengthen my cycle, I had a 17 day one a while back, started on them and it stretched them out to 24ish days. It might be lengthening yours as well so possibly worth giving them a miss to see if it helps

Sleeeeeepy · 18/04/2021 10:10

@thislittlebird Have fun at Center parcs! I love it there, we're in October half term the cost of which is totally insane. Pancake house for the win!x

Misty84 · 18/04/2021 10:29

@Noodella18 I take Vit B complex, it hasn’t affected my cycles however I do range from 24-30 days, it’s been that way since before I started taking it though. SOMETHING I take has caused me to have a very itchy scalp and acne around my jawline but I haven’t worked out which of the many supplements that is yet! 🤦‍♀️

@Kitekat81 We are cycle buddies as AF is due for me on 28th! We gave dtd such a good go this month and I’m ever hopeful that a miracle happens before IVF starts 🙏

Ended up getting absolutely wasted at my friend’s garden drinks last night...very much in the doghouse with oh today. I haven’t been that drunk since way before Covid and I think it’s all the pressures of TTC, I know heavy drinking isn’t good but yesterday I was just so fed up of it all and went too far with trying to unwind! ☹️ Have a lot of making up to do today 🤦‍♀️

Kitekat81 · 18/04/2021 11:09

@Misty84 oh yay cycle buddy! We did really well for dtd this month as well. Ov'd on day 15 and we dtd on days 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15 and 16. Can't help but feel a little bit hopeful. Praying for success for both of us before IVF 🙏 Glad you had a chance to let your hair down last night. Honestly ttc is so stressful, it's the constant mental load worrying about what you can and can't eat and drink, worrying about whether you are getting enough sleep which just leads to less sleep, worrying about whether you are dtd enough and in the RIGHT WAY...it's exhausting, so having a night to blow off steam and just forget all about it is very well deserved!

@M4v3r1ck will have nurse appointment in about 3 weeks and then start treatment about 3 weeks after that. Fingers crossed for you this cycle as well! 🤞

KatRee · 18/04/2021 11:22

@Yumcoffee - thanks so much for the detailed list! I was also 99% veggie and now eat salmon 2x week - hope it works! 🤞And so relieved to hear you caught without dtd every day for a week! Some people seem to have very rigorous schedules and me and OH cannot handle it in our old age!

Congratulations to @Gummybear17 and hoping for a sticky one for you too

@Misty84 I also drank rather too much last night- had planned to stop after a couple of small glasses but it's been so long since I was out with a friend having fun, we all need to be able to relax once in a while, right?

Hoping for positive news for everyone soon

soontobeamama · 18/04/2021 11:31

Congratulations @Yumcoffee! Fantastic news!
Thanks so much for the information - it's great to find out what people have been doing before getting pregnant! xx
