Ok so we need to get back to us ladies, back to fun games, POAS & getting fit, but you need to help me Cos Minster is flagging with a fuck boy body worse than the rest 🥺

Guess what...it’s nearly Easter & know what that means! 🐰🐣...We don’t want the 🐰to have the fun but bloody hell sometimes it’s a f*cling egg hunt all right 🙈🤣.

March and April we’ve got a lot of exciting times ahead with people going for Clomid & IVF as well as a lot of straight up sex for the “normal” TTC gang so let’s get shagging & FIND THOSE 🐣🌈.

We are still working on our spring challenges alongside trying to get pregnant and we’ve had great results so far- feel free to have a catch up on those and add your own.

And we are still helping each other get fitter, more positive through sharing small changes we are making in our lives and trying to inspire & support each other with these too...as well as of course being there for each other during the sad times.

And if you see mention of my blog then blame these guys they made me do it...#shamelessplug

Oh and welcome @Babyghirl - @Minster2012 is an excellent driver so no worries here. I'm a bit of a distracted driver but have had a company car for the last 10 years or so - a few dents don't bother me - terrible attitude!

larrythelizard · 24/03/2021 10:27

@Tornado2Inc 😂😂😂

Kirky658 · 24/03/2021 10:44

I missed the sandwich chat!!!! Not a sandwich per se, but the other night for dinner I made guacamole on toasted sourdough with seared steak.. The thing that dreams are made of honestly 😍 @minster2012 for my lunch yday I made ham, cheese, gherkin and mustard toastie. Omg the best. Beans on toast for me today. Busy day, taking mum to fracture clinic at 2pm. Then dentist at 430. I might get some work done at some point today haha!

@sausage1990 deffo up for pregnancy thread, fab idea, the other one I'm on is so boring

@ttcabroad glad the scan went well beaut

notyetamumbuttrying · 24/03/2021 10:45

@Minster2012 hey lovely, dipping in and out as busy today but I saw you are postponing for a month. How come? X

Kirky658 · 24/03/2021 10:45

@babyghirl welcome, your story did make me chuckle. Haha I could deffo see myself doing that!

paintfairy · 24/03/2021 10:52

Wow. Sandwich fixations. 🤣 I'm really boring with what I'll eat. Ham, cheese, onion, lettuce - that's about it. Definitely no sauce! But I'll eat bacon!
Definitely cobs where I come from! 😆

Vil10 · 24/03/2021 10:56

@Minster2012 @bez91 bacon butty!! Exactly!!

@Babyghirl welcome!! So so sorry for your losses, sounds like you've had such a tough journey!! You've definitely come to the right place❤️

@larrythelizard yess an oven bottom!! Bacon butty on one of those, wow unreal!! I'm on a diet and now I really want a bacon butty!

Babyghirl · 24/03/2021 10:56

@kirky658
Took me a while to realise I was the driver after being a passenger for so long 😂😂😂😂😂

Haiyaa · 24/03/2021 10:57

Welcome @Babyghirl, sounds like you have been through it a bit! I hope you get some answers and a plan in place soon ❤️

Totally miss that you are delaying @Minster2012, I’m sure there is a good reason, you have to do what is best for you and your family.

@Kirky658 your steak/avo combo sounds lush! I’m going healthy today for lunch, spinach and mushrooms on sourdough with poached egg. My acupuncturist would be proud!

Totally agree with getting a registered professional on the acupuncturist front, I was surprised to see so many who aren’t but you can’t be too careful. I’m in again on Thursday.

@blackcurrantqueen did you say you keep waking up early? Because I did during first couple of weeks with DD and did again this month! Keeping fingers and toes 🤞!

@larrythelizard nice one on the super tampon period! May the 30 day cycle continue!

Bacon butties = bacon + roll or bap + lashings of butter and brown sauce. If there are mushrooms then even better!

How about views on chip butties? I have to have one whenever we have a chippy tea 🤤 no sauce, just butter, salt and vinegar 😋

Haiyaa · 24/03/2021 10:59

@Vil10 love those oven bottom muffins, perfect for a bacon butty. DH discovered them when we had just got home from hospital with DD actually. Made me bacon butties to keep me strong and heal up from my section. That plus tea heals all wounds 😂

Kirky658 · 24/03/2021 11:06

@haiyaa omg your lunch sounds heavenly, need

@babyghirl I was exactly the same haha I was like, omg so now I have to drive alone?! I'm also sorry to hear about your past losses, I'm hoping your IVF brings you your rainbow 🌈😘

Now I want a bacon butty cheers @haiyaa on a scotch roll with thick Butchers bacon, a runny egg and hp sauce. Has to be hp sauce no others are allowed

I dread to think how much weight I've put on at my 16 week appt next week 🤣

Babyghirl · 24/03/2021 11:08

@vil10
Thank you been quite a Rd when I get a positive now it's nt if I lose it its when which is an awful feeling. Hoping the fertility clinic can help me get my rainbow baby my dp said the other night once I have one I bet ya they keep coming I said hope nt I'm 37 lol but if I get one I will be trying not long after for another as I want two just hope I'm nt to old nw thou 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈.

Minster2012 · 24/03/2021 11:17

@Tornado2Inc yes I kinda get you, I totally didn't know about testing early til this bus last feb 🤣😂but yeah you know sperm is chatting up egg & they are having fun 🤪plus we are all as fixated as you are!

@Justanothercyster LOVE a baguette good choice!

@larrythelizard @Tornado2Inc and we are back to syringes again 🤣so next question, am I the only one who likes the flavour of calpol?? Surely not

@blackcurrantqueen they know you are enjoying coffee. The fiends 🤣

@Babyghirl YESSSS to brown sauce, a girl after my own heart! And I see about the tests, do you take baby aspirin? I was advised to take that, not sure I am an excellent driver 🤣

@Kirky658 your sandwich sounds fab! Glad I'm a sandwich inspiration! Surely you deserve a day off today for all that (or at least one they don't know about??)

@notyetamumbuttrying don't worry you didn't miss it on here as i didn't really say it I only put it on my blog late last night. Yeah I worked out that my second Covid jab would be around day 3 or 4 of my stimulation injections and the ivf clinic say "it's entirely my choice and any costs incurred if ill are non refundable" so on the basis that I want the jab as I'm not pregnant & need to protect myself, and we have no idea how it might affect me (my first was find just wiped out next day) it's a lot of money to risk to wonder "what if I hadn't had it" if the cycle doesn't work, if we can postpone it for a month and not make a difference (on the basis I actually had a relatively "normal" cycle for once of 37 days so hopefully will do again).
So I only got the ivf call yesterday lunch, asked them then DH said he thought best to leave it a month if we can. And I agree. @Haiyaa your thoughts??? You are a sensible one! And yesssss chip butty omg amazing

Fucking want a chip & a bacon butty now and I don't have a c section as an excuse 😂

@minster2012

Sausage1990 · 24/03/2021 11:28

larrythelizard · 24/03/2021 11:33

@Minster2012 I think that's a good choice, you want to eliminate as many of the 'if only's' as you can and getting fully covid proof has to be a priority.

Ive been really productive today, tidying, washing, cleaning, painting paint samples on paper for the kitchen but I have done no work! Nor any exercise...! Suppose I should do some work as I'm being paid for it...

Somatronic · 24/03/2021 11:39

Hi All, hoping to join if that's OK!

I've kept away from threads this month because I'm trying to be less obsessive about TTC.

Just turned 34, TTC Number 1, got married last year and now feel stupid for waiting to own a house and be married before TTC seeing as I've been with my husband for 12 years but it is what it is.

This is my 7th cycle, 2nd on Clomid. AF due on Saturday. Haven't bought any tests and will just wait for AF this month.

I have PCOS, Graves disease and Hashimotos so that makes things complicated.

In the last week I've had a migraine 5 out of the last 6 days. It's so annoying! I take tablets that stop them as soon as they start so I haven't had the headaches but I am just exhausted and feel a bit rough in general. I'm not sure if it's the Clomid that's causing it maybe? My migraines were triggered when I started taking Dianette 2 years ago and the neurologist says they're definitely hormone-related.

Anyway just wanted to say hi! Seems like a fun spot!

My most embarrassing story is probably the time my DH and I went to the wrong wake - we were at an old man's wake instead of his young relative's. I didn't realise so I commiserated with the entire family in this house, at length because I assumed they were my husband's extended family, and it was only when I went up to view the body in the coffin that I realised I was in the wrong place. After my DH hissed "we're at the wrong f*ing funeral" and dragged me out of the house I erupted in hysterical laughter because I was so mortified and made a fool of myself again by laughing outside a funeral.

Minster2012 · 24/03/2021 11:43

@Sausage1990 side car!! Love it thank you darling

@larrythelizard yes I think so & your day sounds like mine, after we were doing house jobs for selling the house on Monday I had got as far as sanding some skirting board for repainting so that still needs to be done so today (nursery day) my usual working day has been...cleaning & painting the surrounding walls, masking the floor, talking to the clinic, they've just said yes it's fine to postpone & they will still do DH's SA & my bloods in mean time, also done washing whilst talking to a company to discuss their SEO proposal for us (so that's working right?) whilst talking to you guys & my mate on messenger. Thinking about bacon & chip butties. No exercise but sanding is pretty hard work & doing exercise with DH tonight. Must actually paint more now so it maybe dries a bit before DS back tonight??

@Babyghirl oh wow so yeah lots going on then, a heart shaped uterus, on a programme I watched the other day they had a lady with a unicorn shaped one. Well we have lots of different investigations here as you've prob guessed!

So on the basis we are TTC this month naturally I've asked my friend to buy me more golden grapefruit juice and Pom juice. Honestly. 🤣😂

@Somatronic omg the wrong funeral 🤣🤣🤣 that's so funny!! But also sad you missed the other one. I just can't stop giggling at the moment you realised!!

Kirky658 · 24/03/2021 12:30

@somatronic omg the wrong funeral, I can't deal 🤣🤣🤣 welcome! I'd read that graves disease and your thyroid can really mess up ttc so hope they can get it all under control for you. I find it incredible how all these endocrine systems work together tbh.

@minster2012 you're so right, deffo need a day (try month) off haha. I finish next Thurs for 10 days so can't wait! Also think you're doing the right thing delaying by a month, also when you do get pregnant your bub will have the vaccine antibodies which is super cool!

Juno231 · 24/03/2021 12:56

@Somatronic omg that's hilarious! Shame on your OH though for not recognising his extended family hahaha. Silly question but how does one have graves and hashimotos at the same time - I thought they were mutually exclusive! What have they gotten your TSH levels to for TTC btw? Hope it all happens for you very soon x

notyetamumbuttrying · 24/03/2021 12:59

@Minster2012 ah I see. Just read your blog now too. Can't believe the house situ still, how incredibly frustrating! So is it May now for you? I might be May, will find out in a couple weeks! Was gonna delay it till June but won't now. Will go ahead with either April or May.

Somatronic · 24/03/2021 13:17

@BlondePotter yes it wasn't my finest moment. I still went to the second funeral which was difficult enough after what happened at the first one! The two houses where the wakes were on were on the same road, and we were directed by locals to the wrong house.

@Juno231 He did recognise before I did, but I was so busy shaking hands with about 30 people while he gave me daggers and I tried to understand why he was being such a weirdo that it took a while for the penny to drop for me. Seeing that the corpse was that of a 100 year old man and not a teenager was a dead giveaway though (no pun intended!)
On the Graves and Hashis thing, I was surprised too to have both but I think what happens is that you have one or the other at any given time though I'm not actually sure. I've had Graves since 2014 and really struggled for a long time to get it under control but am off meds since 2018. The Hashis only showed up in the last 6 months or so and is fine really, I'd take it any day of the week over Graves disease. My TSH is 2.5 last time I checked (am awaiting more recent test results) but my endocrinologist has been off sick since December so I am not really being treated properly at the moment which is super frustrating. I have yet to speak to her about having Hashis so I don't really understand it myself. I'm due to be seen at the end of next month when the endo should be back at work.

Juno231 · 24/03/2021 13:24

@Somatronic oooh that makes sense! I must say the thyroid has become extra fascinating since TTC! And lol about OH - I can picture him watching you as you greet everyone in the room and he just wants to leave... This would be great scene in a sitcom Grin
