Ok so we need to get back to us ladies, back to fun games, POAS & getting fit, but you need to help me Cos Minster is flagging with a fuck boy body worse than the rest 🥺

Guess what...it’s nearly Easter & know what that means! 🐰🐣...We don’t want the 🐰to have the fun but bloody hell sometimes it’s a f*cling egg hunt all right 🙈🤣.

March and April we’ve got a lot of exciting times ahead with people going for Clomid & IVF as well as a lot of straight up sex for the “normal” TTC gang so let’s get shagging & FIND THOSE 🐣🌈.

We are still working on our spring challenges alongside trying to get pregnant and we’ve had great results so far- feel free to have a catch up on those and add your own.

And we are still helping each other get fitter, more positive through sharing small changes we are making in our lives and trying to inspire & support each other with these too...as well as of course being there for each other during the sad times.

And if you see mention of my blog then blame these guys they made me do it...#shamelessplug

@Sausage1990 Thank you for thinking of me ❤️

Sorry I have been quiet, I’ve been meaning to come back and update you all for a few days now but it’s been such a whirlwind I’ve had no time to even sleep never mind anything else.

The last time I updated I said that my waters had broken at 6.30pm on Sunday night. Well by 2.30am on the Monday morning my contractions had started and at 23:24 on Monday 15th March my beautiful baby boy was born!

He was born at 36+2 weeks so considered premature, weighing a dinky 4lbs 14oz. He’s had some monitoring from special care baby unit for his blood sugars but now all is well with that and he’s back on midwife care and stays on the ward with me. In the last couple of days he’s developed jaundice and so we are now having phototherapy treatment and he’s having blood tests every 6 hours to keep track of his bilirubin levels. Poor baby has had more blood tests in his 3 days of life than I have had in the last 3 years 😞

He’s loving life on his mini sunbed and I’m finally managing to catch up on a tiny bit of sleep as he’s so restful on it. This is now night 8 for me in hospital and still at least another night to go I would imagine. Had a teary day today as just so fed up of being here and that OH is spending his first week of paternity leave travelling back and forth to hospital, although thankful that he can be here 8am-8pm so it’s only the nights that are lonely. He misses him so much at night though it’s heartbreaking for him having to go home to an empty house and leave us both here.

Labour progressed well for me although I ended up having an episiotomy and forceps delivery as had been pushing for over an hour and was struggling due to having an epidural and not being able to feel what I was pushing, plus him being so small he couldn’t descend well. My epidural took an entire hour to put in all whilst I’m curled over the end of the bed contracting every few minutes it was awful and the anaesthetist said it was one of the most difficult he’d done in 20 years - typical me! Once it kicked in though the rest of the time was quite peaceful except for having a cramped bum cheek 😆 When baby came out he did so as superman with his hand by his face so then episiotomy cut turned into a third degree tear meaning that I needed to go straight to theatre once the placenta was out. I was in a lot of pain the next day but now that I am topped up on regular pain relief I’m a lot more comfortable and healing well. Sorry if the details of this are too much 🙈

I will post a couple of pictures separately so that I can delete that post once you’ve all seen ☺️ he’s beautiful but I don’t want his photo hanging around on here for ever more!

Thank you all for supporting me through my TTC time and pregnancy, it’s been so nice to still feel welcome even when pregnant and I am so proud of this little community we have all created supporting and championing each other! I will try my best to keep checking in as I am so invested in you all ❤️

@Ltay2 I also had a bad birth and DH spendy his first week coming to hospital, all a long bad memory now, DH claims to not even remember 🤔 enjoy your lovely little boy, also are you going to stay with us? I don't see why not, you're just at the other end of the rainbow now

Hopeful110 · 20/03/2021 06:54

Oh my gosh @Ltay2 you really went through it didn't you bless ya heart!! His absolutely gorgeous though!! My dd weighed 4lb 15oz and it was so adorable, they stay little for longer 🤭. I'm glad your both doing ok now though! His gonna miss his sunbed sessions aye bless him haha!! Hopefully you can go home this weekend then? there's really no place like your own home...OH must be so anxious to get you all under the same roof and endless cuddles with you both, ♥ enjoy the special moments! Hopefully your experience doesn't put you off having any more bubbas xx

Vil10 · 20/03/2021 07:09

@Haiyaa that's my thought process!! Hate using them but the lack of sperm leaking everywhere is appealing!!

@Ltay2 omggg he's gorgeous!! Congratulations lovely!! Sounds like you had it tough but rest up, and it was all worth it in the end, enjoy the special moments with your boy❤️

Haiyaa · 20/03/2021 07:25

@Ltay2 CONGRATULATIONS! I did wonder when we didn’t hear from you for a while, but so pleased he is here safe and sound. He looks like a little doll 🥰🥰🥰 hopefully not too much longer until you can go home, and finally get that burger - you deserve it!

Clairey844 · 20/03/2021 07:45

@Ltay2 ahhh🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 huge congratulations. He's so gorgeous and well done to you too. He was obviously super keen to meet you all lol. Obviously sorry to hear the birth was tough-sounds like you were a trooper though. Thanks for sharing the story and the pics 😘

@Minster2012 love how men all think they must have magnificent, super size/strength everything and are disappointed when they're told average 😂 glad the windows are done, sorry you've not been well but I admire the fact you have painted windows and exercised whilst feeling rough and with AF in attendance-I second whoever said they just turn into a potato 😂

Xx

Kirky658 · 20/03/2021 07:47

@ltay2 oh hun I'm so so glad you're both okay and he is an absolutely gorgeous little man ❤️❤️❤️ that's made my day x

Ltay2 · 20/03/2021 07:58

Thank you so much everyone! We've had good news this morning too, his bilirubin levels are now below the 'treatment required' line for jaundice so he's now off the light bed and we have to wait 12 hours and repeat the test at 6pm. If his levels remain stable now he's off treatment and he's still below the line from the 6pm result then we can FINALLY go home! 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Justanothercyster · 20/03/2021 08:01

@Ltay2 congratulations, what a beauty he is!! 💙 sounds like a difficult time but well worth it I can imagine, stay strong and best wishes to you and hubby xx

WicketBasket · 20/03/2021 08:07

@Ltay2 Massive congratulations on your bubba! He is absolutely beautiful and whilst it seems like you’ve both had a tough time, you’ve managed to get through! Keep strong and stay happy SmileFlowers

WicketBasket · 20/03/2021 08:11

Ladies I have a question. So since I’ve been doing OPK’s my cycle has always been pretty regular and I always get a clear single peak in the month. So I just end up DTD around that peak, a day before, on the day, a couple of days after etc but obviously nothing has really been successful.

My question is, does the peak actually correlate with ovulation (considering how clear it is and how it’s always around the same time and how I always have my period exactly 14 days after this peak?)

Because DTD the rest of the month is very hit and miss simply because of my shift work whereas I make a proper effort around the peak to BD but don’t really stress about it at other times. So I’m wondering whether I’m actually missing ovulation or it does actually happen around the peak and the reason I’ve not caught is just due to being unlucky rather than not DTD at the right time?

Sorry if that was convoluted Grin But if anyone has any wise words that would be great! Star xxx

paintfairy · 20/03/2021 08:12

@Ltay2 I did wonder! Congratulations! 🥳 He's gorgeous! So small! The light thing is bizarre. Glowing baby. 🤣 Some of it sounds less than ideal but everything worked out OK and that's all that matters. It's good your OH has been allowed to visit. With covid sometimes they haven't been and that's shit!

Thinkingandblinking · 20/03/2021 08:29

@Ltay2 congratulations mumma! What a whirlwind you have been through. He’s gorgeous. My youngest was a superman birth..and a long stay...it’s tough...and it takes a while to settle, my hubby asked work for an additional week of paternity leave so we could settle at home and it was granted so maybe worth asking Xx

bez91 · 20/03/2021 08:37

@Minster2012 feel your pain with the tape, we bought internal bi folds for our living/dining room and as we were renovating left the film they came with on for about 5 months. 3 years later I'm still getting bits off of the glass 😫

@larrythelizard that's frustrating with your bloods! Ahh, really annoying when you feel recovered enough then bam really knocks you back. Take it easy 💕

@Ltay2 oh lovey congratulations, he's so gorgeous! Rest up best you can

Lots of action at the wank banks - good luck DHs

Florence13 · 20/03/2021 08:58

Morning ladies,

I need to catch up due to being majorly busy at work and not having chance to have a proper read.

@Ltay2 aww massive congratulations!! He is gorgeous but sorry you have had such a rough ride. Glad you are starting to recover and will keep my fingers crossed you get to go home today.

larrythelizard · 20/03/2021 09:01

@Ltay2 what a beauty Evan is! Sounds like you went through it quite a bit, go steady! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 you can get home tonight and DH can start helping with the night shifts!

@Minster2012 your X is a bit older than DS - he's a giant but not 2 yet. I want to get him a digger bed when he moves rooms though!

@WicketBasket I'm no expert (I've learned more about OPKs since being on this bus) but I think it sounds like you're catching your ovulation every month. Sounds good if your period is 2 weeks later too. Remember that you only have something like a 25% chance of getting pregnant every cycle.

notyetamumbuttrying · 20/03/2021 09:06

Thanks for all the bday msgs yesterday gang, you're the best 😘

@Ltay2 absolutely gorgeous!! Thank you so much for sharing pics and your story. What a rollercoaster but I'm glad everything's under control and he's getting stronger every day. Glad you're recovering well too 😘

Katao · 20/03/2021 09:23

@Ltay2 congratulations x glad you and your beautiful baby boy are ok and hopefully heading home soon. Sorry you had a tough birth, hope you are healing well. I'm sure OH will be a big support to you when you get home, rest as best you can and take care of yourself x

Crazydoglady123 · 20/03/2021 09:32

@Ltay2 he is absolutely perfect 💙 Congratulations to you both! I can't begin to imagine what you've been through but fingers crossed you get home to your own bed soon so you can all be together again

WicketBasket · 20/03/2021 09:45

Thanks @larrythelizard! You’re right about the chances being fairly low every month anyway, but I was just getting worried that I was putting all my eggs in the OPK basket and neglecting to regularly DTD at other times and that this was causing problems. Ah well, just got to keep going eh? Maybe when my shift work calms down I’ll have more energy for normal, not centred around TTC BD’ing! GrinWink xxx

2020mission · 20/03/2021 09:57

Congratulations @Ltay2 he looks so cute 💕 🎉. Take it easy!

Haiyaa · 20/03/2021 10:06

@WicketBasket generally the consensus is that you ovulate 24-36 hours after peak is first detected but that isn’t always the case, some women ovulate at the very start of the peak or you might not actually catch the very start of your peak e.g. if it is overnight. Also a peak LH doesn’t guarantee that you will/have ovulated just that your body is trying to make it happen. You would need to do BBT or get blood taken to be more sure ovulation has occurred.

This article on Ava was really interesting.

www.avawomen.com/avaworld/long-lh-surge-last/

I’ve tried SMEP this month, it is exhausting (for me/DH😂 ) but I think we covered every base with it.

7DPO for me, had a teeny tiny spot of pink after 🍆 last night, I wonder if I might have ovulated earlier than predicted as first peak was around 6:30 am so could well have started late the night before. Ordered my FRER to arrive tomorrow then the piss fest begins Monday! Still hanging in there 2WW buddies?

InkyPaper · 20/03/2021 10:18

@Ltay2 oh he's so cute 😍 congratulations!! Glad you're starting to feel better, sounds like you've really been through the wringer but am keeping everything crossed you can go home soon ♥️

notyetamumbuttrying · 20/03/2021 10:20

@Haiyaa yep, 8dpo for me but already have pms aches and pains prob caused by endo so I won't be symptom spotting until after I've had the lap. Just waiting on a date for surgery now. If all goes well then we'll put ivf off until June to give natural a fair shot!
