Thanks @AMS19... As soon as i get 3+ on a CB im going to stop, so hopefully Sunday.

I'm going to try really hard not to do any tomorrow...

Omg twins could you imagine!!! 🙈🙈

yepstilltrying · 19/03/2021 22:39

@AMS19 I was pleased as I had the same HCG at the same stage with my son. I know it's just if it doubles every few days though so not counting my chickens with that number!

sleepykitkat · 19/03/2021 22:44

Hello, I hope it's okay if I come on in here.

I mc in January and have been a bit all over the place emotionally and physically. Several of my friends and SIL have recently told me they're due around the same time I would've been and ye gods that's brought it all sharper. I'm happy for them of course! But also sad. Desperately so.

I am very lucky I have a toddler already it's just I so wanted them to have a little brother or sister.

I feel like I always knew my body. But this has thrown me! My last cycle was v short and I missed my fertile window and the buggering clear blue ovulation kit must've picked up on my oestrogen period surge so I was putting my DH through a bunch of pressure and awkwardness for nothing gah. And all made worse by him living and working away so timing is a nightmare Confused

Currently clearblue says I'm high fertile again but I'm distrustful...

If anyone has any advice about which tests are best I'd be very grateful.

Sorry I haven't caught up on all the posts, I will try. Blush

AMS19 · 20/03/2021 06:01

Morning @sleepykitkat I'm sorry to hear about your mc. I had a mmc confirmed late December just before Christmas but had a MVA (surgery under local) on new years eve. Was absolutely awful and I still have days now where I just feel the sadness drowns me that I'm not pregnant and passed viability stage. I think it's made worse by being on my 4th cycle since and still nada.
I cant help with CB sticks, I find them very confusing and much prefer cheap normal OPKs. Do you bbt track too? My cycles have been a bit all over the place:
Post mva I didn't have a period until about 31 days later. No idea if I ovulated as I didn't track that one
Cycle 2: ovulated CD11, spotted from CD9, proper bleeding from 13DPO
Cycle 3: spotted very small amounts all the way through the follicular stage. Ovulated CD13, spotted 10DPO, period started 11DPO.
I'm now CD2 in Cycle 4 and am really hoping for an improved LP 🙏

AMS19 · 20/03/2021 06:03

Sorry Cycle 2 should say spotted from 9dpo not cd9!

@glowingtwig eeeh amazing news about your HCG levels. I’m so pleased for you. At least you can have a lovely relaxing weekend 😘
@LauraT94 Awww I’m so glad everything is going so well for you. It’s so lovely that you’re so positive and like the other girls said, there’s every reason to believe this one will be your gorgeous sticky bean ❤️
@Pettylamby that’s amazing Progression on your FRERs! Yay!!! This really is turning into a lucky thread 🎉🎉

SuzieDeLaTour · 20/03/2021 07:09

Question for you ladies regarding FRER - so I have one pack left and just realised the stick looks very different to the others. For starters it doesn’t have the first response imprint on the finger holding part - it has a sort of circular woman! In the testing window there is an obvious grey line where the positive should go. This is making me wonder whether it’s a dodgy FREr!?! Perhaps the line will disappear when I test but what I don’t want is that it tricks me into thinking it might be positive when it’s actually negative! Pic attached - not sure it’s very clear on there but it’s very obvious in real life!! 😁 I don’t remember seeing this with all the others but then again maybe I wasn’t looking so clearly!? X

AMS19 · 20/03/2021 07:16

@SuzieDeLaTour did you get this off amazon? I read loads of reviews on people getting fake ones on there. I'm not sure that it necessarily changes the results though! But maybe worth having a quick read on the reviews of the "fake" ones if you did get it from there, I've seen people posting that photo! Xx

SuzieDeLaTour · 20/03/2021 07:17

*Meant looking so closely...!

Pettylamby · 20/03/2021 07:17

Oh @SuzieDeLaTour I've never seen an FRER look like that! Where did you get them from!? I get all of mine from amazon and they always have the normal first response logo on them! 🤔 Very strange!

SuzieDeLaTour · 20/03/2021 07:19

@AMS19 yup off Amazon! I’ve always ordered off there and never had a problem. The stick packaging is in Spanish too (I think - I’ve thrown it away now!). That’s so funny that there are lots of identical pics of non-used pregnancy tests...! 🤦‍♀️🤣 where do you buy yours? I won’t test until Monday (if I can hold out that long!) x

SuzieDeLaTour · 20/03/2021 07:21

@Pettylamby same!! Maybe someone in the Amazon warehouse thought they’d have a laugh 😜 honestly don’t know whether to bin it or go for it anyway!? X

AMS19 · 20/03/2021 07:23

@SuzieDeLaTour just looked back and it seems it is mainly the rapid response ones but lots and lots of complaints. Seems you can get a refund if you want. Would definitely take a read xx

AMS19 · 20/03/2021 07:24

@SuzieDeLaTour I got mine from there too, seems there is a bad batch circulating. Everyone else said the wrapper was Spanish so think you could the bad batch! Xx

SuzieDeLaTour · 20/03/2021 07:26

@AMS19 oh that’s so helpful thank you!! I will definitely see if I can get my money back. Thinking I’ll bin this one now as I don’t want a false positive, that would be even more heartbreaking. Such cheeky gits!! X

Pettylamby · 20/03/2021 07:28

@SuzieDeLaTour the only thing I'd be mindful of is you don't know the sensitivity of that test... Or if it is actually a working test! I'd probs buy another brand but I'd also probs try that one as a wee experiment but not base your testing solely off that test! 🤔 I once dipped an FRER in tap water becuase I didn't believe the lines I was getting were real on the others! 🤣 X

DMT1982 · 20/03/2021 07:29

Thanks for all your thoughts and comments girls much appreciated xxx

AMS19 · 20/03/2021 07:32

@SuzieDeLaTour yeah if it were me I'd get my money back. I'd hold of binning until you've had the refund in case they want them sent back but for peace of mind I would get some proper ones! There are some really good cheap ones out there you can get that are pretty much the same as FRER too. I have some 10mlU ones I got from a random site another lady suggested that are so sensitive- when tracking my hcg down they were identical as frer. I can share a link if you want? Xx

Mellous · 20/03/2021 07:32

@SuzieDeLaTour I’ve had this off Amazon before. Did it come in a white packet (inside a first response box)? They are “answer” tests. I found them to be almost as good as genuine first response ones but yeah. Annoying!!

OP posts:
SuzieDeLaTour · 20/03/2021 07:43

@Pettylamby that’s what I was concerned about. It doesn’t say anywhere on the leaflet what the sensitivity is. I think a new batch is the way forward 😁
@AMS19 probably best not to pee on it in that case!! Yes please do share that link x

SuzieDeLaTour · 20/03/2021 07:44

@Mellous noooo, it just came in the normal individual test wrapping but instead of “first response” it had Spanish written all over it in black if I remember correctly. I’ve definitely been had! X

Mellous · 20/03/2021 07:47

I have one too... I have used them in the past as it’s happened to me twice and they were v similar to FR but not quite as sensitive xx

@SuzieDeLaTour I think it's a first response rapid response. I got them by mistake before and looked like that. They're not as sensitive as frer but the line comes out really strong if it picks something up.

SuzieDeLaTour · 20/03/2021 07:52

Ahh ok!! Right this is making more sense now. Any idea how sensitive they are? Thanks ladies for all your replies - I really appreciate it! 😘

yepstilltrying · 20/03/2021 07:55

@SuzieDeLaTour I read some free they are 100 Miu/ml and frer is 6.3 apparently
