@Mellous oh love I’m sorry it was a BFN. How are you feeling? Like the other ladies said, you’re never out until AF actually shows up! But I hope you’re ok 😘
@Pettylamby those lines are super strong!! I’ve got everything crossed for you! Definitely worth calling your EPU. No doubt it will be a wait and see but you never know - you might get hold of a lovely nurse who agrees to take some bloods! X

SuzieDeLaTour · 12/03/2021 09:02

Ok so I’m maybe 1/2 DPO and told myself I would not test early and would just wait patiently for AF to arrive before being tempted... but in my head I’m already questioning whether it’s happened...oooh is there a little fertilised egg in there? Is there not?! God help me in 10 days time...I’m going to be a crazed lady!! 🤣🤪

Jujujuberry · 12/03/2021 09:03

@dippyegg32 Yess I see the line!!! So so exciting hun! 🌈💓

@Mellous hang in there!! 🙏

@Pettylamby Your lines are beautiful!! Haha i love this, your tests are lifting my spirits, this thread is so positive!

I’m CD3 of first period, had 5 vials of blood taken today, so hopefully get results soon, not really sure what the tests are for, but feels good something is being looked into.

I’m excited to start ttc again in a few days! Hubby has no idea whats coming 😂

DMT1982 · 12/03/2021 09:04

@AMS19 yes google is both good and bad isn’t it. I think if you are anxious it can sometimes be more detrimental because you end up looking into too much stuff and it just blows your mind. Keep it simple, make plans that will work around you when you fall pregnant, remember that you have had one miscarriage and you are a fit and healthy young girl, you have everything going for you. Xxxx

Jujujuberry · 12/03/2021 09:06

@SuzieDeLaTour fingers crossed there is magic happening in there!! 🌈 I dread the two week wait, you will just need to keep busy busy!

Mellous · 12/03/2021 09:17

@SuzieDeLaTour I'm really gutted tbh! I know I'm not officially out yet but I'm pretty sure I am! I've all sorts going on in my head like did the d&c damage my fertility somehow?! I know I'm getting way ahead of myself though. With my mc pregnancy we conceived straight away xx

AMS19 · 12/03/2021 09:39

@DMT1982 thanks so much ❤❤ xx

@Mellous I feel the same as you, worried about being pregnant and worried about not being pregnant. But honestly, I strongly believe our bodies are now just waiting for a better egg and sperm ❤

Pettylamby · 12/03/2021 09:40

Right ladies..

Had a call back from EPU.. Basically what I expected.. Keep testing, wait and see, call us back if anything changes and booked me in for a scan should I need it on 1st April!

She didn't seem concerned about ectopic since I had no pain or anything and bleeding can be a range of things!

She did seem a bit miffed that I hadn't waited for what she called a 'proper period' - I did explain about the bad cramps and no bleeding when my first period would have been due and then I've ovulated after it as normal which is when this conception has happened!

Hope you are all well! 😘

PlantMummy87 · 12/03/2021 09:45

@Mellous I'm so sorry you got a BFN. Sending you lots of love. As the others have said you aren't necessarily out until AF. I get the worries about the d&c, I had medical management, but have also been worrying this has caused some impact upon my fertility as like got pregnant straight away. I've been trying to remind myself that each month it's around 30% chance of getting pregnant for anyone and that if it's not this month my body is getting healthier and stronger each day to carry my rainbow baby.

@SuzieDeLaTour we are on very similar dpo. I'm on 2dpo I think. I've also found myself wondering if it has happened already. Have been looking back at this diagram a lot to remind myself to wait for the magic to hopefully be happening. Fingers crossed for you 🤞 Trying to make sure I keep myself as busy as possible over the next week or so so have lots of yoga classes booked and plan on decorating one of our bedrooms the weekend as can't paint and Google at the same time 😆

@AMS19 I'm glad you are feeling a bit better today. Google absolutely can be the worst. I've found myself searching on Google a lot the past few days, but like you have decided I need to take a step back from it and do some non TTC related things.

Recent MC - New cycles & trying again
AMS19 · 12/03/2021 09:49

@Pettylamby that sounds sensible. Without wanting to massively get your hopes up I have a good feeling. It's unsurprisingly followed a miscarriage to have some bleeding. Ours bodies are a mess! Especially given you've not had a beast period like the rest of us. Praying for you and a sticky healthy bean

@PlantMummy87 thank you. Yes I'm making lots of 2021 plans. To the point where getting pregnant might even end up being a pain 😂😂😂 the show must go on!

DMT1982 · 12/03/2021 09:50

So little update from me. I spoke to the gastroenterologist yesterday and after he initially thought I was suffering from post infective IBS the tests have now come back and looks like i may have issues with my pancreas not producing enough digestive enzymes. Apparently that means my body does not digest fat and proteins properly. I’ve got to have another stool sample tested and MRI of my pancreas!

This came as a shock as my fertile period is this weekend and I was all set to try again but can’t now as can’t be pregnant and have an MRI. It’s a 5-6 week wait for the MRI and 4 week plus wait for stool sample tests to come back so I’m out for another couple of months it would seem ☹️

On the plus side all my bloods were ok so I’m not lacking in anything and there can sometimes be an error in the results so that’s why he is testing alongside the MRI. Also means I would have been taking my vitamins for over 3 months so that’s the recommendation for improving egg quality. Just trying to take positives out of negative situation xxxx

SuzieDeLaTour · 12/03/2021 09:58

@Jujujuberry haha hold on to your hat hubby...she’s coming for you!! 😂 oooh I love the idea of “magic” happening inside. Please let it be so! 🤞
@Mellous oh love I would be exactly the same. Everything is so focused on TTC again and I know I’ll likely have a weep if I get a negative this month. But you’re doing all the right things to get your body ready for a lovely sticky bean ❤️ I understand what you mean about panicking about the effects of surgery. I freak out about that too!! But then my consultant said it’s so bloody rare for there to be any problems so we have to hold on to the fact that the odds are firmly stacked in our favour xx
@Pettylamby ha the good old wait and see approach!! That’s good she didn’t seem concerned about ectopic and also good that you’ve got a scan booked in - April 1st will be here before you know it 😘
@PlantMummy87 oh fingers crossed for you too my lovely! X

AMS19 · 12/03/2021 11:06

@DMT1982 so definitely not ideal from a TTC perspective but also good to have a potential diagnosis and therefore treatment route. I know how frustrated you must feel and I appreciate right now I feels like a lifetime but in the long run 3 months isn't as bad as it feels. As you know and say, eggs take 3 months to form so you have already been and can continue to do so much good during that time that you'll be in an incredible position when you do come to try! Xx

DMT1982 · 12/03/2021 11:56

@AMS19 thanks for your sweet and thoughtful reply. Yes I’m holding onto the positives that my eggs will be tip top by the time we are able to try. I did ask the consultant whether having issues with my pancreas could have an effect on pregnancy and he said good question. He then went onto say that he didn’t think it would because I don’t suffer from any pain so that would be the only problem if the pain became an issue.

I will still keep watching this thread through as really enjoying seeing so many of you getting positives but also supporting each other through the ups and downs xxx

SuzieDeLaTour · 12/03/2021 12:52

@DMT1982 oh love I’m sorry that you can’t try for a little while yet. So frustrating for you but like @AMS19 said, it’s also good to get a diagnosis and know that when you do try you’ll be in tip top shape to give it your all and won’t have any questions hanging over you. Also really good news that your bloods came back ok. I know 3 months probably feels like a lifetime right now but in the grand scheme of things it’s not long at all and once spring properly hits and you can do more things outdoors to keep you busy time will fly and you’ll be in your TWW before you know it! Xx

gizmo167 · 12/03/2021 13:08

Just checking in! I feel like such a fraud among all you girls, u all take so many supplements, do ur opk's & know exactly when u ov, I haven't a clue lol!

I'm Cd27 today, feeling little less pmsy today but just waiting on af to arrive, after first mc it was cd34 so any day probably! I am so much older than most of u so know I'm on borrowed time here, just really frustrating when I had no issues in my pregnancy with my dd, it did take 3 years to conceive & I was diagnosed with pcos but periods regular since having her 7 years ago & only took a year to get bfp at the first mc but another year to the next 4 weeks ago, just dont have that sort of time again!

@Pettylamby and @dippyegg32 keeping everything crossed for u both xx

KJLM · 12/03/2021 13:17

Hi ladies,
Wow I’ve clearly been off MN for too long as I’ve just caught up on the last thread and was delighted to see we’ve a new thread for TTC- thank you @Mellous for setting this up.
Ladies who have got your bfp I am very happy for you and your partners. It gives so much hope to those of us on here talking and those who just come on to read the comments.
I THINK I’m 2 dpo but I’ve been using Clearblue digital and Premom ovulation strips and they’re both a day or so out from each other. Interestingly I did get what I think was ovulation spotting which I don’t think I’ve ever had in my life- but then it’s only when you’re TTC that you notice every little tingle and twinge isn’t it. Like right now I feel crampy and I’m straight to either ‘oh this is my uterus preparing because it knows it’s happened’ to ‘that’s it it’s over for this month cramps mean periods’ when really I maybe just need to go to the toilet 😂😂
To the ladies who haven’t had a good experience at fertility acupuncture I’m sorry it’s not been positive- I was getting fertility acupuncture before we fell pregnant last time but initially it was for grieving following our son being stillborn in July. I told myself it’s primary function was to assist with grief and relaxation but also for fertility was a bonus. I’m back to acupuncture next week but just wanted to say to anyone who hasn’t tried it it might be worth giving it a try.
I’ve also been trying to practice mindfulness after taking part in themindfulgriefcoach course on Instagram which is targeted at any stage of baby loss. I’m not normally one to buy into yoga, meditation, acupuncture etc but after everything it’s really helped and I’d say mindfulness is brilliant for us ttc after loss- it’s to encourage you to focus on the present. After loss we focus so much on the past and then when ttc focus so much on the future and constantly thinking ‘oh if we conceive this month by that date I’ll be this far along’. Anyways I sound a bit preachy but if it helps anyone then I guess it’s worth posting!!
I’m hopeful we all get our bfp soon and to those of you at the start of the tww with me let’s hope these two weeks go quick!!!

AMS19 · 12/03/2021 13:35

@KJLM thanks so much for the Instagram reccomendation - I've just followed. I agree with giving acupuncture a shot. I'm not bothering with the "fertility" acupuncture now but just doing standard acupuncture, which as you say, it's about me feeling more relaxed and helping the blood flow. If there is an added benefit of it helping a pregnancy then even better.
I'm 4DPO will pretty much the same. I had a lot of spotting the whole way through the first half on my cycle though so haven't very little hope. But clearly must think I'm in with a shot because my anxiety has been through the roof every since ovulation was confirmed, and I'm pretty sure it's because I feel deepdown this is the first time I actually might get pregnant. Until now I wasn't convinced it could happen with the lack of bleeding etc. Glad to see you seem to be feeling pretty positive and its great to have you back in the tribe xx

CocoLoco88 · 12/03/2021 14:22

@TheHotelCalifornia hello my dear, yes that’s right I remember! SO thrilled for you that AF arrived but god, what a wait. Day 56 here and still zero sign. 😒

Also agree with lots of others that a sponsored run would be amazing!!

Very exciting to see more squinters here, think I’ve been making DH laugh by peering at my phone and then squealing and pointing 😂 can’t wait until I’m doing the same!

Hope everyone is doing well x

Ralala · 12/03/2021 14:47

Hi ladies!!!

It’s like a BFP bus in here. AMAZING!!!!

So I have found out why my temps are wild.... my chuffing thermometer is broken!! 🤣🤣 never mind! Cd17 here. We did every other day until cd20 and tonight is one of our nights. I think poor hubby is feeling it as I’m soooooo keen this month 😂🙋‍♀️

AMS19 · 12/03/2021 14:55

Hi @Ralala random question but what were your temps doing that you knew it was broken? I have a friend who has also had the same thing really really strange temps and we are wondering if her thermometer is either broken or the battery needs changing!

Ralala · 12/03/2021 15:10

@AMS19 it’s been beeping randomly , taking a while to show my temp and now won’t go on. So it’s in the bin now haha

AMS19 · 12/03/2021 16:02

Ladies I've debated all day whether to post this but thought it's only fair I share the information. I spoke to my GP today about aspirin. She said she definitely wouldn't reccomend it and has seen cases of it causes miscarriages in the past. She strongly advised against it. I have therefore decided not to take it. I really really really don't want to worry anyway, she is a GP so no expert at all, but thought I should share so everyone can make their own informed decision, as I know previously I was saying how I probably would take it (and have even bought some). I hope I haven't upset anyone by posting this xx

KJLM · 12/03/2021 16:24

@AMS19 anxiety is just the worst isn’t it. I can’t understand why in these modern times there isn’t something that just says BAM ovulation just happened and 20 minutes after sex tells you if you’re pregnant 😂😂😂 maybe this is possible and it’s all a ploy with these companies to keep making us spend money on opks, pregnancy tests and thermometers!!

I’m glad that you’ve spoken to your doctor about baby aspirin. I’ve read quite a lot of comments regarding aspirin on these threads but not wanted to weigh in as it’s each persons body however as far as I understand aspirin in pregnancy is related to blood clotting and personally I think this is for medical opinion and each person to discuss with doctors- for some people they NEED aspirin to carry baby and for preeclampsia but for some it could have negative effects.

SuzieDeLaTour · 12/03/2021 16:25

@AMS19 thanks for sharing. It’s so difficult as it’s so individual and might help some but not others. I’m definitely erring on the side of caution and giving it a miss as my consultant dismissed my request to take something (anything ha!)
