@Pettylamby oh lovely chemicals are just so cruel. Take your time. It sounds like you have a very pragmatic and positive approach to it all. Lots of love.

AMS19 · 09/03/2021 06:29

@SuzieDeLaTour I was thinking the same, should I book to see someone just to ask about aspirin. It's tough, on one hand people are saying it can't hurt, then one lady I spoke to said she was specifically told following a scan it probably would have increased her chances of a miscarriage! So honestly torn....

@Pettylamby I'm so so sorry. That's just too cruel 💔 think of it like this, your body is now clever enough to know that wasn't a viable pregnancy, and rather than making you go through weeks just to lose it, it protected you. I know it's rubbish, but honestly this is better than getting to 9/10 weeks for it not to work out (which is what would have happened this time). Your body is making embryos which is fab, then checking them to make sure they are perfect. So next time one does implant and stick it probably means it's top quality xx

Mellous · 09/03/2021 06:45

@Pettylamby I’m gutted for you. I’m sooo so sorry!! Sending love xx

@glowingtwig yesssssss fantastic news on your BFP this is such a lucky group xxxx

DMT1982 · 09/03/2021 07:07

@Pettylamby I’m so sorry darling my posts have just caught up and I’ve seen your update.

Chemicals are so cruel and is still a loss even though early on. This is such a lucky group though not just for BFPs but for support and we are all rooting for each other and here for each other xxxx

jodielouise26 · 09/03/2021 07:11

Good Morning Ladies 💜

Huge congratulations to the BFPs! 🌈
This thread seems very lucky!

Hope you don't mind me joining in.

I had a MC end of January around 11/12 weeks.. AF arrived 4th March; all done and dusted with that this morning!

My cycle has always been a bit hit and miss..
When do we think I should start doing OPKs?

I'm hoping this is my month; I've informed the OH of the upcoming agenda (we didn't really try as such last time) this time he knows that we are really ttc now.

Sending lots of baby dust to you all 🌈✨

AMS19 · 09/03/2021 08:21

@jodielouise26 so sorry to hear about your loss. We've all had miscarriages at around the same time as you and have been supporting each other through it. On my first cycle after my super heavy period I started using OPKs from CD5 just in case, as you can sometimes ovulate earlier than usual! Best of luck!

LauraT94 · 09/03/2021 08:24

@Pettylamby I'm so so sorry it was a chemical 😢 sending you lots of positive vibes that your next cycle brings another fertilized egg that has time to get nice and cosy! ❤️🌈

@glowingtwig congratulations to you too! 🥳

I'm sorry I'm sure I missed quite a few messages yesterday! I'm getting good line progression so far but I still feel so anxious and like someone's going to pull the rug from under me. I dreamt about my period coming last night and was scared when I woke up with wet thighs but I was just sweating because I'm so hot at the mo 😂 temp rose again this morning and I'm thinking it has to stop soon or I'll be on fire haha!

AMS19 · 09/03/2021 08:49

@LauraT94 I can only image the anxiety. So let's focus on milestones. When's 5 weeks?

LauraT94 · 09/03/2021 08:51

@AMS19 first milestone is today, AF is due!!

5 Weeks is on Friday 19th.

Then we've decided to book an early scan for 7+1 on the 2nd April.

So these are my dates to work towards for now!

AMS19 · 09/03/2021 09:09

@LauraT94 whhooop so that's one key one in the bag! And that's a perfect time for a scan, just before Easter ❤

Sugarskulllover · 09/03/2021 09:12

@Pettylamby so sorry you've had a chemical this time. I agree with @dippyegg32 you sound really positive in your approach so hoping you have some more luck next cycle!

For those talking about aspirin, I was told to take it in my last pregnancy from around 8 weeks all the way through my pregnancy. First thing in the morning before food, it was my GP that recommended I take it

Neady1980 · 09/03/2021 09:19

@Pettylamby so sorry it was a chemical, it's just heartbreaking. I'm sure next cycle will definitely be your lucky one.

@Glowingtwig congratulations on your BFP 🌈🌈 its great news

@LauraT94 I love the way you have broken it into milestones, and it's your first one already today. The weeks will fly by for you

glowingtwig · 09/03/2021 09:36

@Pettylamby I'm so sorry, it's utterly heartbreaking. It does show how fertile you are that you got pregnant again so quickly, you just need a bit of luck now for the next time ❤️

PlantMummy87 · 09/03/2021 09:40

@Pettylamby I'm so sorry about the chemical. That's so hard to go through after everything. Taking the positives from it though seems like a very good step to take.

@glowingtwig congratulations on your BFP. That's amazing news. 🌈💕

@LauraT94 I'm so sorry you are feeling anxious. It is completely understandable but it sounds like a good idea to break things down into milestones.

@jodielouise26 I'm sorry you find yourself here. But this is a brilliant supportive group of ladies. I started OPKs on cd 6 this cycle. I miscarried in December but my cycles hadn't stabilised until my last mega period on 23rd Feb. My last cycle I ovulated super late at cd 25, but this cycle have gone back to ovulating on cd 16 which I was pre mc. Just saying so that if things are a bit wonky at the moment don't worry, your body knows what to do and will get back to normal.

Feeling really low today. The fertility acupuncture gave me the worst headache/nausea last night so didn't dtd. We tried this morning but my partner got a bit distracted due to time and getting to work so didn't finish (sorry seems very crass saying that.) Got a static smiley on my clear blue this morning so ovulation should be this evening/tomorrow and feeling as we didn't dtd last night I'm not in with a chance. Will try tonight and tomorrow...
My partner's friend said they are expecting this morning too, it's like the 6th friend in the last 2 weeks. My partner didn't seem to understand why I got so upset about it as very rightly said we don't know what they've been through, but doesn't stop it hurting. Every other one I've smiled and been super happy for them, and I am, just couldn't hold back the tears too. This is not to say I'm not super happy for all you lovely ladies getting your BFPs on here. I really truly am over the moon for you all 💕

glowingtwig · 09/03/2021 09:44

@LauraT94 I'm having similar dreams, it's quite awful. The milestones are a good idea. Well done on getting to your first one!
Here are mine:

Period due 11th March so still a few days to go.

Then I'll have my Beta HCG done at the same times I had it taken with DD, around 5 weeks, so two more milestones.

Then a scan at 7 weeks which will be 2nd April-ish if I make it that far.

LauraT94 · 09/03/2021 09:55

I definitely think @AMS19 has the right idea to break it into milestones! Feels so much more achievable. Should have added as well that one of my milestones/goals is to get to 6 weeks with no bleeding. It started around 5.5 weeks last time.

@PlantMummy87 I'm sorry you're feeling low 😢❤️ I'm hoping your mood picks up soon! You're definitely in with a chance if you get DTD soon! Hope you feel up to it.

@glowingtwig loving the milestones! We must have similar due dates - mine is roughly 19th November!

AMS19 · 09/03/2021 10:01

@PlantMummy87 oh lovely I'm sorry. Honestly the pressure is insane isn't it. Im pretty sure my husband knows I'm about to ovulate (I try not to tell him too much incase it impacts his performance) and asked me yesterday if I'd had a temp rise. We got drunk at the weekend so DTD 3 times in 12 hours. At that point my OPKs were blank so was relaxed. Then on that Sunday my peak appeared out of nowhere! Now I was panicking we wasted all that sperm and now it won't be building up as much. Honestly it's a headf*ck. But if you go tonight you're still in with a really decent shot!
Also...I felt really wobbly today! Wondering if that was the acupuncture xx

Tealchoc · 09/03/2021 10:22

I’m so sorry @Pettylamby xx I’m gutted for you. That’s a good idea with the vit b6, I always feel so much better if I can somehow improve things for next he next cycle.

Congratulations @glowingtwig! Wowee!

I think I am ovulating at the mo, I’ve never had much luck with the opk sticks so didn’t think they worked for me but today got a dark line for the first time!

jodielouise26 · 09/03/2021 10:26

@AMS19 @PlantMummy87

Thankyou for your advice 🙂
I think I'll start testing soon then 👍🏻 might as well I suppose 😃

PlantMummy87 · 09/03/2021 10:30

Thanks @LauraT94 and @AMS19. I ended up calling my mum and having a proper wail over the phone and am feeling a lot better to just get the emotions out. I also try not tell my partner either about fertile period/ ovulation as causes pressure on my partner, although told him this morning why I was upset (seems absolutely ridiculous getting upset over dtd 🙈 but wasn't just about that).

It's interesting you said about the acupuncture @AMS19 maybe making you wobbly today too. Sending you lots of hugs. Hope you are feeling a bit better now? I'm not sure I'm going to continue the acupuncture tbh, still mulling over it. Feels like maybe I'm trying to put pressure on myself to be the healthiest most relaxed I can be and maybe doing all that is making things go the opposite way.

glowingtwig · 09/03/2021 10:47

@PlantMummy87 the pressure is really hard because whatever you try to do to stop making it that way, it's impossible in my experience!

@LauraT94 exactly the same- 19th Nov ❤️

gizmo167 · 09/03/2021 10:50

Hi all, hope its ok to join.

I'm 42, 43 in a couple of weeks so probably a lot older than most of you here! I had 2nd mc on 14 Feb, first one in January last year so 2 in the space of a year! My body probably trying to tell me I'm too old!

I'm currently CD24, not hopeful at all this month, a bit PMSy and absolutely no sore boobs so just waiting on AF arriving. After first mc it arrived CD34 so next week or so will tell!

Congrats on the BFPs and so sorry about the chemical @Pettylamby

AMS19 · 09/03/2021 11:28

@PlantMummy87 the thing is it's not about sex, it's about another cycle missed making a baby. I totally get it and I'm 100% the same. I'm also on the fence with the acupuncture. I think I'm going to try a standard one around implantation time. Surely it can't help encouraging the blood to flow a bit? But avoid the fertility specific ones I think!

Seasalt1984 · 09/03/2021 11:40

@pettylamby oh I'm so sorry. Its so difficult to see a positive test and then AF comes, must feel really cruel. I've read lots of positive stuff about about B6 so that sounds like a positive next step.

@plantmummy87 I'm the same I try and avoid mentioning fertile period to DH. I did last month and it took the joy out of DTD I think and felt really functional. Trying to convince myself that I'm just going with the flow this month (I'm probably not though!) x
