I FINALLY got my rise! Positive opk was 3 days later than usual and ovulation seems later than usual too after the peak! 🙈

BUT I'm in the TWW officially!! Who's with me?! I plan to analyse everything and I'll probably test early with cheapies for a laugh! No point in pretending I'll be calm and controlled throughout this TWW!!

Officially 3rd month TTC baby number 3. But had a few months before that "seeing what happens" DS 2 and DS 11months.

Anyone wanna embrace the crazy with me?!

@LemonDrizzle44 hope your blood test went ok. How long have you been ttc for now? We just be around same place in our cycle now I’m CD3 today. Not sure whether to bother trying at all anymore until we have DP SA results.
Thank you @Hopefulhedgehog and @Belle34 - did AF show for you?
Sorry to hear DP struggling with accepting results. My DP I has been really hard on himself recently for similar reasons although we haven’t got answers yet he is suspecting it’s him with the issue and he’s not coping with it very well. This journey can be really tough on men too 🙁.
What are the next steps with fertility clinic for you?

LemonDrizzle44 · 05/07/2021 18:26

@SlothMamaToBe I'm cd3 today too. Had bloods done this morning. Couldn't believe how much they needed to take. 8 tubes I think it was. I've been ttc at least 12 cycles now (so just over 13 months) possibly a little longer. I've been tracking my cycles for 12 cycles but came off contraception in Feb 2020. I'm waiting for DP to pick a form up from GP for his SA. With him still working away it's difficult.
When will you get DP SA results? My DP was asking lots of questions about IVF recently. I think deep down he's worrying the cause may be with him 🙁

SlothMamaToBe · 06/07/2021 07:45

Yes they test for loads don’t they! Hopefully you’re not waiting too long for your results. Must be tricky with your DP being away, is that an ongoing thing?
My DP not had his SA yet, his appointment is in mid august. It always seemed so far away and I imagined we wouldn’t even need the appointment but that’s looking increasingly unlikely.
He’s peed me off this morning, I’ve booked in for reflexology this weekend to help with infertility and he was just being really negative about it, asking how can it possibly work 😕… my attitude was well nothing else we are doing is working!! Grrr…

Unicornish · 06/07/2021 10:26

Sorry to hear about af arriving Sloth and LemonDrizzle. I hope the tests help to provide some answers. The GP ran 3 and 21 day tests for me last cycle but just said that everything was "normal" so I don't feel further on with it. I must ask the surgery if they will let me have a copy of the results so I can see for myself.

Fingers crossed that your af hasn't shown up Belle. I'm sorry that it has been hard for your DP with the SA results.

I hope the TWW isn't dragging too much hedgehog.

I'm cd7 today so still in the limbo-land between af and ovulation. I'm struggling a bit this month though. By a cruel twist of fate, I am exactly to the day where I was this time a year ago, when I conceived. (Had a mmc at 8 weeks, discovered at 10 weeks). I'm pretty emotional about it all.

SlothMamaToBe · 06/07/2021 12:45

Sending love to you @Unicornish ❤️ - understandable that today is going to be hard for you.

Unicornish · 06/07/2021 15:23

Thanks Sloth. It's a weird month for sure. If I do manage to conceive this month then my due date would be a year to the day later than my last due date. I wondered about deliberately not ttc this month but I'm not getting any younger so we're going to press on.

Belle34 · 06/07/2021 15:58

Thx ladies. AF showed up yesterday booo so currently on cd 2.. the only positive I see is it was bang on time and temping is so reliable.. just knew from 12 dpo onwards that it wasn't gonna happen this month for us. I am thinking might not temp during the second half and take it easy this month as I was obsessing too much with every single drop..

DH is now doing all the exercise and taking a few supplements to see if the repeats in Aug will make a difference. It will be really our call to make then what to do next. Really dreading IVF cause personally don't want to go that route but we may have no choice as we really reached end of the road now. Will try this month and leave the rest to fate as whatever happen will happen

Think we all r in sync with our cycle this month - sending positive vibes ur way🌈🍀

acupofteamakeseverythingbetter · 06/07/2021 16:45

Perfectly understandable to be emotional @Unicornish hope you're ok ❤️ I wanted to skip a month so I didn't have a Christmas baby but I'd give anything now to have a baby on any day of the year! Lol but you just need to decide what right for you both.

@Belle34 my AF showed up yesterday too, we are all in sync 😂 I'm doing AMH and Female Hormone test tomorrow on CD3 (at home finger prick tests) I think I have a hormonal imbalance still from my miscarriage in feb as my periods are not like they used to be!

Obviously ive turned to Dr Google and have worried myself silly about it all. Sorry next bit is TMI but they are bright red, watery and mucusy!? And no clots. I haven't got a clue what's going on but when I google it says about peri menopause?! I'm only 28!

LemonDrizzle44 · 06/07/2021 22:07

@SlothMamaToBe DP has been working away for the last 10 weeks. This week should be his last for a while 🤞🏻
Mid august seems such a while away but hopefully will come round sooner than you think! It's soo hard when you just want answers.
I've checked the nhs app this evening and half my blood results are back.
FBC - normal
Prolactin - normal
LH - 7.8
FSH - 6.7
I've read if LH is higher than FSH, can be an indication of PCOS.
Still waiting on some other PCOS bloods and thyroid.

Belle34 · 07/07/2021 17:03

@acupofteamakeseverythingbetter - Tell me about Dr Google.. it gives you whatever answer u r looking for .. if I search for could I still be pregnant if AF has arrived it will say yep absolutely.. chances r 1 in a million but there you go. How did ur test go today? Cd 3 here and flow is v. light almost over

@SlothMamaToBe - DH will also have his repeats in Aug, so will see how that goes? Were you referred to do SA?

@LemonDrizzle44 - Do you have any symptoms of PCOS? Will they also do ultrasound to check ovaries to confirm?

@Unicornish - how r u lovely? I hope all is well with u 🤗

LemonDrizzle44 · 07/07/2021 17:15

@Belle34 I have irregular cycles and hair loss/alopecia. Have an ultrasound booked for 2 weeks time.

Testosterone bloods have come back higher than normal.
Thyroid is normal (thankfully).
My liver bloods have come back abnormal and need repeating in 4 weeks (not sure if this is related).
Waiting on one last blood test which if raised will likely indicate PCOS.

Have a GP appointment scheduled to discuss results. I hate this waiting game!

In the meantime I'm even more motivated to lose some weight. I'm going to start zinc and Myo-inisitol supplements to try and regulate my cycles.

acupofteamakeseverythingbetter · 07/07/2021 18:09

@Belle34 tests went well, posted them off this morning and am eager to get the results back to see what's going on with my hormones!

Omg I'm CD3 today too and I'm super light, feels like it's finishing already but I feel like it never really gets started if that makes sense! Xx

acupofteamakeseverythingbetter · 07/07/2021 18:11

@LemonDrizzle44 the waiting game is the worst 😩 is the scan to check everything looks ok? Xx

LemonDrizzle44 · 07/07/2021 18:26

@acupofteamakeseverythingbetter yeah I think so. It's a full pelvis and transvaginal scan.

@acupofteamakeseverythingbetter & @Belle34 are your cycles usually short? For me CD1 is usually mid to heavy flow and then CD2&3 is very light, like almost nothing and usually just wear a pantyliner. Then that's it. Really want someone to give me answers, is it normal or is a short cycle with not much flow a problem? 😞

polkadotpixie · 07/07/2021 18:31

@LemonDrizzle44 I have short cycles and very light flow however the month I conceived my son I had 2 light days and 1 day of spotting and that was it so I don't necessarily think it's anything bad as obviously I could conceive. My sisters periods are even lighter than mine and she's conceived within 2 weeks of coming off the pill both times (lucky bitch! 😂)

LemonDrizzle44 · 07/07/2021 18:38

@polkadotpixie that's good to hear!

Belle34 · 07/07/2021 18:49

@LemonDrizzle44 I understand how frustrating it can be ttc with irregular cycles.I hope u get all the answers to move forward, it is hard isn't it?

I suffer from PCOS and also had high testosterone levels but my cycles were most of the times regular enough roughly 33 days. I am on metformin and also take myo inositol which has now reduced the length to 28-29 days. So our next issue is DH's SA, I hope it resolves on its own otherwise IVF maybe our option...just have to take each day as it comes

Unicornish · 07/07/2021 19:25

I also have PCOS. Mine is mild, thankfully, and myo-inositol has been frankly miraculous for me in terms of regulating my cycles and making me ovulate each month.

LemonDrizzle I hope that the test results provide some clarity and that the doctor is able to give you some help with moving things on.

Belle keeping fingers crossed for you that you'll conceive before you get to your DH's SA (it is in August isn't it?)

acupoftea Dr Google is the worst! Such a pessimist! I hope your results come back asap.

I'm CD8 today. I did an OPK this morning which was very very light, and my temps are still low. I usually ov between CD12-14 so will start doing OPKs 2x a day from tomorrow.

In other news it is my 36th birthday today. I have to admit I've found this one a bit shitty. Feel like my 30s are slipping away and have scared myself by reading all sorts of doom and gloom stats about how my fertility has almost certainly fallen off a cliff since yesterday. ShockBlush

Belle34 · 07/07/2021 20:50

@Unicornish yes it is Aug 😅
Happy Birthday! u never know this maybe finally the year for u🌈

@LemonDrizzle44 cycles were anywhere between 2.5 - 4 days, usually quite light on day 3 and by day 4 it's almost over. It's really whatever is normal for you so I wouldn't worry too much

Hopefulhedgehog · 08/07/2021 07:28

Hi ladies just catching up with everyone’s updates… lots going on! Good luck with the rest of your results @LemonDrizzle44. Hope you are feeling a little better @Unicornish and peak on its way for you soon.

6dpo here. Nothing to report. I’m not temping this cycle and it definitely makes the TWW less anxious with no charts to obsess over and tiny temp fluctuations agonising over whether AF arriving. Still a way to go AF due on 19th July.

Unicornish · 08/07/2021 16:36

I'm glad you're feeling a bit calmer this month hedgehog. Did you temp up until ovulation or not at all?

Hopefulhedgehog · 08/07/2021 17:19

Hi @Unicornish - I didn’t temp at all. I’ve temped and used OPKs for last 5 months and got a good grip on my cycle. Positive opk day 10 or 11 and the following day then temp rise the day after that. So I decided just to use OPKs from CD9 then have assumed ovulation 2nd day after positive. I may go back to it as I do love a graph but nice to have a couple of months off x

Unicornish · 09/07/2021 11:51

That sounds good @Hopefulhedgehog. Fingers crossed that this is the month for you!

My OPKs are still pretty faint, but this morning's was noticeably darker than last night's. I'm CD10 today so I'm anticipating ov on Monday I think.

How is everyone else?

SlothMamaToBe · 11/07/2021 17:28

Hi @Unicornish did you ovulate yet? Sounds like you were heading towards it.
How are you doing @LemonDrizzle44? Did you manage to speak with the GP yet? Hopefully you will get some answers soon and a plan of what to do next.
I had my reflexology session this morning. She did an overall balancing of my endocrine system. Said my Fallopian tubes were a bit ‘crunchy’ but nothing to be concerned about. I’m going to go back next month and try and get DP to go to. Anything that works I’ll try at this stage!!

SlothMamaToBe · 11/07/2021 17:29

@Hopefulhedgehog are you back on temping this month then? I’ve not restarted but was considering giving it another go. It’s been jive to have a break from chart obsessing though!
