I FINALLY got my rise! Positive opk was 3 days later than usual and ovulation seems later than usual too after the peak! 🙈

BUT I'm in the TWW officially!! Who's with me?! I plan to analyse everything and I'll probably test early with cheapies for a laugh! No point in pretending I'll be calm and controlled throughout this TWW!!

Officially 3rd month TTC baby number 3. But had a few months before that "seeing what happens" DS 2 and DS 11months.

Anyone wanna embrace the crazy with me?!

My temp has started to drop and had brown/reddish spotting so I’m out 😢. So disappointing after a hopeful cycle.

Sorry to hear that @SlothMamaToBe - must be really disappointing as all the signs were looking good for you this cycle. What cycle # is this for you?
I’m CD13 today and think I ovulated last night. We DTD on CD8, 10 and 11 then ran out of steam which is a bit annoying to miss ovulation day but never mind hopefully we are covered.

I'm CD13 today, OPKs are negative 😞 really want to ovulate in the next 2 days. DP is working away but is home for the weekend so only have him until Tuesday.

Thank you both... I’ve lost track which cycle I’m on but have been trying for around 14 months. We are starting fertility investigations but I wanted to get there before needed to go down that route ideally 😢.

@Hopefulhedgehog 🤞 you’ve done enough - it’s sounds like you have as the days leading up to ovulation are most important aren’t they.

@LemonDrizzle44 hopefully you’ll get your positive opk soon - mine can be all of a sudden so might just happen later today for you! 🤞

@SlothMamaToBe I hope so. I have a very quick peak, barely a hint of a second line for days then all of a sudden I'll have my peak (usually late in the afternoon) and then will ovulate than night. I get no warning. I'm having EWCM (i think, can never really tell the difference from left over swimmers 🤦🏻‍♀️ sorry TMI). So just DTD and hope for the best.

AF arrived full flow last night ... I’m a mess and not sure how I want to go on with ttc as been such a long time and seeming pretty bleak at the moment.

@SlothMamaToBe aww so sorry to hear AF arrived. I felt like you the other week when AF arrived. It's soo disheartening. How long have you been trying for?

Would this be your first? Have you had any blood tests done with the GP? I'm over 35, so had mine done last week, waiting for the results. If its been 14 months for you, they must be able to help you. My partner booked in for a private semen analysis end of this month. I'm honestly feeling less helpless and more in control getting the ball rolling, although of course very apprehensive about the results.

Thank you @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 and @LemonDrizzle44 . I feel it’s really starting to impact now... me and DP had an argument yesterday after my period started. It wasn’t his fault, I was really upset and emotional and he felt I thought he was to blame for our struggles to conceive 🙁. This journey really isn’t always an easy one. It’s my second pregnancy but first with DP my DC is 10 so a long time ago now. We have been referred for investigations. I’ve had bloods done abs got a scan next month. DP has semen analysis in august. We wouldn’t qualify for IVF unfortunately because already have previous child. Part of me wants to give up but I really don’t want to accept that we aren’t going to have our baby together.

@SlothMamaToBe don't be too hard on yourself, its an emotive time, both of you'll be feeling really stressed and upset. I feel guilty each time my period comes, and bad to tell him - I don't know why, totally illogical. I'm glad you've got investigations coming up soon, there could be something else they can do that's not IVF. Or it could just take a bit more time. There are people on here (and some friends in real life) who took 18-24 months to get pregnant. I don't know how they did it, but they did get their baby in the end

😔 sorry @slothmamatobe it really sucks. I personally recommend a few days of trying not to think about it (easier said than done, I know) a wee glass of your favourite tipple, lots of chocolate and a good cry x

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 that feeling of guilt is so crazy isn’t it , I don’t know why we’re so hard on ourselves 😕.
I’m not thinking too far ahead at the moment. I’ll go for all my investigations (which means I suppose I’m not giving up just yet) . Not sure if I want to actively try as much this cycle though.

@SlothMamaToBe take a break, one or two months of not trying and tracking, and actually having sex for fun and eating bad things and drinking wine won’t hurt. We know roughly when we’re ovulating now, so can aim a bit of sex that week. I’m getting a bit obsessive with my temping so might do the same next month

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 yeah that sounds like a good plan. I have a couple of opk left over so I might use them around ovulation time just to check but will try to have a more relaxed approach for a bit I think .

@SlothMamaToBe you've got your investigations lined up, so you've got that to rely on. So you're not standing still by not trying, you've been proactive and got the main stuff lined up.

My GP was rubbish, the tests were all 'normal' but he only really tested iron, thyroid and hormones. I think I'm going private for a fertility MOT for day 3 of next cycle

I'm on CD8 and just started on the OPK's again (seemed a bit early but CB advised the date and who am I to argue!).

Random thoughts in my head today: why does it say to physically POAS for 3 secs but if you're dipping it to do 15 secs? Surely the latter is more accurate so would require less time 🤔

@ContadoraExplorer you and I are similar this month then, as I'm cycle day 9!

My ovulation date is pretty regular so I get a peak on 10 or 11 so I’ve started just doing OPKs now from CD9 so I don’t waste too many! I use the pink CB ones so they just have static smiley. X

@ContadoraExplorer I always think the same thing about POAS. Personally I prefer to dip. I feel it's more accurate 😂.

I'm CD16 today and still haven't ovulated. DP is now working away so not holding out much hope for this month.
