Hey everyone! Cycle 3 starts today, I was disappointed but I'm fine now. I seem to have 9 day luteal phases which isn't ideal but I'm all in this cycle and am going to do the following:

-SMEP
-Proceive supplements
-Ferti-lily
-Agnus castus (to try lengthen LP)
-Pre-seed

Anyone starting their cycle again want to join me?

@Fifi1086 thank you! Second month of using them and it still feels like the unknown!

Morning ladies, how are we all doing?

I also have a question about the Clearblue advanced digital opks - does anyone know if it is possible to start using them too early in your cycle?

Last month was my first month off the pill so I decided to start testing early at cd6 - first day was low (which I understand is standard) and then flashing smiley on day 7 which lasted for 11 days up to cd18 when I had peak. So a 31 day cycle.

As it is only my second month off the pill I assumed my cycles would still be irregular this month so tested yesterday at cd4 and got low, then high this morning on cd5. Have I messed it up by testing too early? I’m just conscious that if I’m going to have 11 days of flashing smiley again (or more) I don’t want to start dtd a lot now, as we will be exhausted by peak and then it won’t work so well at the crucial time! But if it turns out my peak is going to be soon, obviously I want to start now so we give ourselves the best chance.

It’s all so much more complicated than I thought it would be!

LemonDrizzle44 · 04/03/2021 10:09

@ottie27 I think for a standard 28 day cycle they recommend starting OPKs from CD8. I have irregular cycles, anything from 27 to 34 days. I use the fertility friend app (as I track bbt too) and that recommends I start using OPKs from CD10. I was inpatient and started yesterday at CD8 but as I ovulate anytime between CD12 and CD18 I felt starting at CD10 it doesn't leave me much opportunity.

How is everyone else?? I'm already planning for the disappointment this month🤦🏻‍♀️ does anyone use pre-seed lube? If SMEP doesn't work this month I may consider this next month.

ottie27 · 04/03/2021 10:18

Thanks @LemonDrizzle44 that’s helpful to know others are impatient to start checking ovulation as well! I actually have felt what feels like a bit of ovulation pain so might dtd anyway just to be safe, though it seems to me that even if I was ovulating now (which seems unlikely) the egg wouldn’t be viable this early.

We are planning to start with preseed this month and see what happens, though I’m a little put off by the applicators and I know dp definitely will be so I think we’re going to use it a bit more casually this month and then if that doesn’t work I may just have to accept the applicators next time!

LemonDrizzle44 · 04/03/2021 10:39

@ottie27 me and DP are trying to keep it casual (he doesn't know about the OPKs 🤣). He has a very high sex drive and would DTD every day 😂 I keep telling him his swimmers need a chance to recover. I think pre seed would put him off too! I'd like to keep something in the bag for later months especially as we get closer to the 12 months of trying mark.

tulips87 · 04/03/2021 15:44

So I'm on flashing smileys. CD10 and I think o is usually around CD12.
I'm feeling so poorly though! I feel like this happens every time around FW since TTC. It really gets me down because I have absolutely no energy and my husband doesn't get home till 7pm so DTD is usually late at night. I feel like this is going to ruin our chances this month. We are DTD every other day and today is one of the days but I really don't feel like I have the energy for it 😩

@tulips87 its so tough isn't it, being constrained by a certain time and rota almost. I've definitely had sex when I've not felt like it or been up for it in the FW, and just hoped for a quickie 🙈. Hope you feel a bit better later

ottie27 · 05/03/2021 08:58

Morning ladies,

I’m now totally confused re the clearblue digitals - got a static smiley this morning on CD 6! I know I’m only a couple of months off the pill so my cycles might be way off but this still seems far too early. Do you think this is possible or that the ovulation test is wrong?

LemonDrizzle44 · 05/03/2021 09:37

Morning @ottie27. It does seem a little early to ovulate if you are only CD6. You can get several LH surges before you actually ovulate. So you may be having a surge but won't ovulate. Especially if a follicle isn't mature enough. Do you track bbt? This is the only way to confirm if you've ovulated after LH surge. You could DTD to cover yourselves though.

Dinomama21 · 18/03/2021 21:58

Hey! How is everyone getting on?
I'm 7dpo and I'm quite pleased that I haven't been over-obsessing this cycle, I havent even looked at MN or googled anything....YET! Anyone symptom spotting? I've been having vivid dreams and I have a cold- probably too early and can be explained as I started work full time again, so I'm exhausted and work in a school so that can explain the germs 😂

Fifi1086 · 18/03/2021 22:44

Hey @Dinomama21 I'm 7dpo too!! And symptom spotting like crazy I just can't help myself. I'm nauseous, exhausted, sore boobs and headache but this is also how I feel day before AF so keep everything crossed! AF due on Monday for me

Dinomama21 · 19/03/2021 06:46

@fifi1086 it's hard not to symptom spot, sounds promising though! I usually get achy boobs a week before AF, but nothing so far, I'm due next Wednesday/Thursday. Also woke up again with a very vivid dream and needing to pee
