Hey everyone! Cycle 3 starts today, I was disappointed but I'm fine now. I seem to have 9 day luteal phases which isn't ideal but I'm all in this cycle and am going to do the following:

-SMEP
-Proceive supplements
-Ferti-lily
-Agnus castus (to try lengthen LP)
-Pre-seed

Anyone starting their cycle again want to join me?

Morning everyone!! Well no mistaking that AF is definitely here! I picked up some soya isoflavones today to help bring O forward, I just can't figure out the dosage 😂😂

AlexaPlayWhiteNoise · 26/02/2021 12:02

I've been toying with the idea of soy isoflavones for next cycle fifi. There's a couple of threads which explain about them that I'll link. Here's a recent one and an older one but with good information. I don't always ovulate so was planning on giving them a go but then got a bfp which turned into a chemical and was so preoccupied I didn't gave the wherewithal to order them in time. Where did you get yours from?

Fifi1086 · 26/02/2021 20:26

Thanks for that @AlexaPlayWhiteNoise I had a read through there some really interesting stuff!! I'm ready to go and going to take them before bed!

How is everyone else doing today 😊

All good thanks @Fifi1086 how are you? Anyone got any exciting plans for the weekend? Any exciting dinner dishes or deserts anyone’s cooking!?

Fifi1086 · 26/02/2021 22:27

@AKcheer I'm so happy it's the weekend. A crazy week at work. I have to say it's actually a relief to not think about ttc this weekend, no opks, no symptom spotting.. it's making me think that after O this month I'm just going to try switch off. I really didn't enjoy the last ten days or so it was stressful. We put serious pressure on ourselves!

OP posts:
AKcheer · 26/02/2021 22:35

@Fifi1086 me too! I was just reflecting on my week and it’s been stressful personally but also at work, but I feel like I achieved a lot at work too which is good haha! We absolutely do!! How long are your periods usually and do you know roughly when you ovulate?? Positive vibes for next month!!!!!! Feeling positive xx

Fifi1086 · 26/02/2021 23:48

@AKcheer glad it's not just me! My cycles are 29 days but I ovulate late around 20 or 21 which isn't good cos then I've a short luteal phase. I'm taking soya isoflavones this month to try bring O forward. Staying positive this month too, hopefully this is our month!

Timetobeamummy · 27/02/2021 09:36

@Fifi1086 I think I also ovulate late as well, which is why I’m going with OPKs this cycle.

@AKcheer I’m usually 31 days bang on the day- but last months long cycle 37 days was odd however just hoping it was a one off.

The only benefit of AF is that I can enjoy a very large glass of wine or Gin tonight without feeling guilty!

Fifi1086 · 27/02/2021 09:48

@Timetobeamummy oh yes I've a few Gins planned for this evening, consolation prize for getting AF!

Fifi1086 · 27/02/2021 22:42

Just found out SIL is pregnant. Trying so hard to be happy but it just isn't easy

LemonDrizzle44 · 28/02/2021 11:54

@Fifi1086 everyone around me at the moment seems to be pregnant or just had a baby. It's soo hard and gets me down 😞.
Positive vibes for March though 🤞🏻 if March isn't successful I'm giving the following month a miss. Not keen on a late dec/early January baby.

Dinomama21 · 28/02/2021 14:22

@Fifi1086 @LemonDrizzle44
So sorry, its so hard seeing pregnanct woman and new babies, I keep thinking it'll happen when it's meant to ❤
I'm thinking the same with the timings, try this cycle and then a break for a few cycles, got so many family birthdays in Dec/Jan, including DS.

Fifi1086 · 28/02/2021 14:42

@Dinomama21 @LemonDrizzle44 I'm glad it's not just me! I won't be taking a break I wouldn't like dec or jan baby as my DP and DD both have their bday in June so it would be nice to break it up a bit

OP posts:
LemonDrizzle44 · 28/02/2021 19:17

@Dinomama21 I'm a Christmas baby as are a lot of my friends. I have a lot of family early January and i feel it's a crap time for birthdays.
Although part of me doesn't want to stop trying. Will just have to see how long this cycle is. My cycles vary from 27-34 days.

tulips87 · 28/02/2021 20:06

Hi ladies, just hopping on here to ask for some advice please.

So I'm CD6 today and last day of AF.
I'm just wondering when I should start the CB OPK's?
Last cycle they arrived in the post very late, I started the OPK on CD 9 and had no smileys until an unexpected static smiley on CD12.
Should I start tomorrow? x

Magnum99 · 28/02/2021 20:16

I'll join too, AF arrived on Tuesday so I'm now on CD6, 2nd cycle.
I'm feeling quite deflated about it all at the moment, well not just about TTC, just had a crap week and struggling with work etc which has left me feeling flat and doubting everything I'm doing in life.
I don't want to end up getting obsessed like I did last month, I was addicted to POAS and got myself more upset by symptom spotting and convincing myself I was pregnant when I wasn't.
This cycle Im going to try to not test until AF is officially late.

AlexaPlayWhiteNoise · 28/02/2021 20:46

I've got a positive opk today (well, several Grin it's a bit of a novelty getting a positive so I keep doing them!).

Everyone who was pregnant at the same time as me is also giving birth now and there's loads of newborns about. Ds2s due date is in a couple of weeks so that's hard. I won't be stopping either, I would have done previously to avoid a Christmas birthday but I don't mind anymore now.

Fifi1086 · 28/02/2021 20:46

@tulips how long is your cycle typically?

@Magnum99 welcome! I was the same last cycle and it took the wind out of me when AF came. I refuse to test This time until after 11DPO as I've never got further than 9dpo before AF arrives

OP posts:
tulips87 · 28/02/2021 20:51

@Fifi1086 I have a 26/27 day cycle.
Actually I started testing on CD10 last time and got nothing then a peak on CD12.
I don't want to waste the OPK's but I do want to hopefully see some flashing smileys before I get a static.

Dinomama21 · 28/02/2021 20:52

@tulips87 I bought the clear blue OPKs last month too (first time ever using them) and they advised to start testing from the day after AF stops, ill do the same for this month too, just incase. I got my static on CD13 but started getting flashing smileys on CD9, but everyone's different. Some people even test twice a day, in the morning and then later at night/evening. I just tested in the morning and was tracking my BBT.
@Magnum99 I was the same last cycle, completely obsessive with everything, I ended up having a CP, I drove myself crazy Poas and seeing them go fainter 🙈 I had a crap time at work last month too, and ended up being off for a week. But onwards and upwards, I'm feeling positive and going to plan lots of distractions this cycle, and no early testing 😂

Fifi1086 · 28/02/2021 21:05

@tulips87 if you go by your shortest cycle, which you're meant to, you should start testing around cd6 😊

I'd definitely start tomorrow. I've never used CB OPKs but I usually start mine at about cd8 and go all the way through till day 30 or so. But I have long cycles and don't always ovulate.
tulips87 · 28/02/2021 21:11

@Fifi1086 @Dinomama21 @AlexaPlayWhiteNoise thanks! I will start tomorrow CD7.
I've been nice and chill since AF arrived, now here comes the obsessive woman in me again from tomorrow. I wish I wasn't that person but you just can't help it.

Magnum99 · 28/02/2021 21:25

@Dinomama21 I think I may have had a CP last month too. I did 2 tests which had questionable lines, unsure whether they were the faintest positives or evap lines. AF was late too so I think maybe an egg fertilised but didn't stick. Guess we'll never know.
Fingers crossed for this month x
