Hey ladies hope you dont mind me joining on this thread, you all seem super lovely and supportive ❤️ I'm 28 and my fiancé is 31, we've been NTNP for about 4 years, ttc 2 😭 I was diagnosed with pcos when I was 21, I've went back public hospital for scans and updates and they still haven't called back since my scan 6 months ago, anyway I know ttc isn't a priority for them atm! I have never even had one faint line in 4 years 😭 I lost about 3 stone a few years ago and finally got my period back, in the last 2 years from tracking and taking (I think it helped anyway) myo-inositol and all the supplements that Google can provide me with haha, I know have been ovulating about a year. (whether they are good or even strong enough little eggs I don't know yet) So, in the last few months I've noticed my periods literally only last about 2-3 days I'm thinking I now have a very thin lining and maybe it's not my ovulation at all. So I'm now horsing in the Brazilian nuts and vitamin E and hoping for the best 👀 we've decided we are going to a private ivf clinic in a couple of months. Sorry for the long post, I've been reading threads silently for 2 years and it's all becoming quite overwhelming not having anyone that quite understands this or how I feel. ❤️ Currently 11dpo and not feeling very hopeful, as usual. I don't really have any symptoms or even my usual pms symptoms. 4/5 days to AF is due tho, praying for a miracle for us all & fingers crossed for you all ❤️❤️🙏 xo

@Aimzie hey 👋🏾 please join! Sorry to hear about your struggles but great you're going private! Once you get in with a good clinic and get a plan in place you'll feel much better! I'm due on weds/thurs but have pms so it's all normal for me. We have male factor and suspected endo so at the very start of ivf. Just waiting on my amh result and the second SA result. Afc scan next week and first private consultation.

@notyetamumbuttrying thanks so much, the gp and hospital fertility journey has been so disheartening and disappointing, from my experiences anyway. They don't really seem to care. Ohhh I really hope your first consultation goes well. Your in the right place now and hopefully it is successful for you ❤️

Have any of you ever had this experience with clearblues? Now this was after about 10 mins but I've never had an evap like this before. Used all my ic's by 7dpo haha can't stop 😭 but I got this yesterday at 10dpo and this OPK. Trying not to get my hopes up but secretly am 😂 the last green OPK was yesterday and the ones before that were from ovulation at CD18, now on CD30

Hi @Aimzie and welcome, it's such a frustrating thing isn't it! My af are only 2-3 days as well and have been ever since I came off the pill 3 years ago but I'd definitely speak to your gp or specialist about your scans/results etc sometimes you need to keep chasing up to get answers! I would try an frer if I were you they're supposed to be the most reliable for early tests

@Marvellouslymadmum oh it really is, do you know why yours are so short? I think mine always were that short tho as far as I can remember. I've never been on any bc as when I was 18 they made me very sick so I stopped 🤒
I know, I called twice to get my progesterone 21 checked and the receptionist asked is this for a private clinic and I was like eh no the hospital and she was like sorry were just dealing with covid patients and hung up on me. I think thats when we said OK f you guys and now we're just saving to go private.
I've been holding since 10am waiting on my post man with my frers 😂 I don't know why I do this to myself

We’ve just had our 22nd March fertility appt cancelled and brought forward to 8th March and I’ve managed to book our remaining blood tests in for the same day, which is great!

@Aimzie I've no idea why mine are that length as I was on the depo injection when I was younger then came off that to have my son then had the implant and had that taken out to have my daughter and fell quickly with them both but I was much younger, I then went back on the implant but had it taken out after about 7 months as I was getting very heavy af at random times and went onto the pill which I took and got accidentally pg in 2017 which then unfortunately ended in mc I went back on the pill until April 2018 when we started ttc and they've always been around that length since then sometimes 4 days at most but I am 41 almost 42 so it could be an age thing or it could be a pco/pcos thing as I have a suspicion about that. We also have a probably male factor issue so basically problems all over the place 😂 my doc has been pretty helpful so far but not overly so, maybe just phone your doc surgery and ask to speak to a gp?

I know what you mean with finding it difficult when hearing baby announcements... I work in a job where I am seeing pregnant women/newborns daily! To a certain extent it’s work .. I can switch off but at times when I’m feeling low ttc it’s hard to not think ‘but when will it be my turn?’ 🙁

@Aimzie welcome! Do you spot before your period? I usually do then bleed for around 3 days although my last period was no spotting and 2 days af.

@Motherofkittens28 I checked on here earlier to see if you'd posted and must have missed your comment. I totally get how fed you must be feeling right now. Please do try to stay a little bit positive, quality over quantity. What did the clinic say about it? If (I'm praying for you not the case) this isn't a successful cycle are you able to go again? Sending you hugs ♥️

Forgot to say earlier, @CausingChaos2 and @Aimzie welcome to the ttc for ages bus!!
I paid for my ultrasound and AMH test privately which probably put us ahead a little bit as if I’d waited for nhs, I wouldn’t have had it yet.
My af also only lasts about 3 days but my lining was really good at my ultrasound last December so maybe a short period doesn’t always mean a thin lining?
I’ve just started drinking Pomegranate juice everyday as I’ve heard it’s good for lining, just in case!

@Motherofkittens28 it only takes one, hoping it is a realy good egg for you!

@Aimzie welcome! I wish my period was 3 days! Mine is only 1 day max and then a day or so of spotting, it used to be 2-3 days when I was younger (though I'm only 32). I start IVF next week so I'll let you know as I keep thinking I must have such a thin lining.

@Crazydoglady123 mm no I don't usually spot, my temp drops the night before it tho and then just starts with a bit of spotting the next day then!

@crazycatlady1981 oh that's quite good, I was so worried it meant a thin lining, oh thanks I never heard of that actually I read raspberry tea leaf, vitamin E and Brazilian nuts were good for the lining. I usually have a glass of cranberry juice a day but will deffo switch to pomegranate tomorrow 😊

@Crazydoglady123 I spoke to the lady from the scan place today, she was so lovely and very helpful! She said they can do a scan to check everything, see if it looks like I have pcos, the only thing they can't check is the tubes but presume they can check how many follicles etc, she also told me that the doc can do tests but that's it they won't refer us to anyone for infertility assistance as I have children not just no ivf which is a bit rubbish so we will have to pay to see a specialist even to be referred for clomid. She said it may be best to wait until I've had my blood tests next week and call when af arrives then she will book me in around day 10-12 so she can look for a fat follicle ready to ovulate

@Marvellouslymadmum oh really? Well at least you've found out now rather than sitting in the NHS system waiting for months to be be told no. A lot of private fertility clinics can do Hycosys but I'd deffo start with a normal scan around ovulation to see what's happening. Still have everything crossed for you this cycle.

@Crazydoglady123 she did also say that she wouldn't worry about age as fertility doesn't just drop off around my age and she's seen many people get pregnant naturally at this age and if we do need ivf we should definitely consider going abroad for it as there are less or no age restrictions there and very high success rates! She said a few years ago she would never have recommended it as thought it wouldn't be good but she's seen many success stories and it's as good if not better than this country!

Still staring at my hour old negative frer at 12dpo 😩 it's so sad to still get your hopes up every single month for years. Sometimes I just don't understand it 😔 my mum had 7 kids, my younger sister has a beautiful 1 year old boy, and that upsets me sometimes too. I feel bad about that too. That was probably one of the toughest announcements I heard,which is an awful thing to admit. This is such a hard journey 😭😭 it's hard to keep positive
