@notyetamumbuttrying counting down the days!! Where are you in your cycle atm?

@Herehoping93 that sounds EXACTLY how I was on my Clomid cycle. I was on 100mg and had so much pain and bloating I took myself for a private scan and had 5 ruptured haemorrhagic cysts caused by the Clomid. The bloating lasted for a good few weeks (I looked pregnant). Keep an eye on it if you start clomid again next cycle. My cysts were secondary to me releasing 5 eggs at ovulation. I deffo hit super ovulation

@Crazydoglady123 oh that's good! That's the same day I have my blood tests booked, let's hope it's a good day for us. I'll definitely be starting reign ASAP I've wanted to watch 24 before and nowhere has all the episodes but I've found it now so looking forward to that too.
@notyetamumbuttrying excellent that things are actually going forward for us all, though I'm behind you guys just having blood tests at the moment but at least it's progress ☺️ I'm actually excited for 24 now with all these recommendations.
@Herehoping93 clomid is something I'm thinking may be a good option for me so impatiently waiting for the docs tests lol doesn't sound like you've had a good month on it but I do here it gets easier each month so 🤞🏻 for you, glad it's not just me with the big families and no one else having had any issues. I live in East Sussex too, we live in battle. My oh is exactly the same for going to the docs and will avoid at all costs, he hasn't had an sa yet either even though I'm trying getting him to, we also aren't entitled to any help on nhs due to both having children with previous partners.

We are watching the handmaids tale of anyone is after a good tv recommendation. Lots of pregnancy stuff but it's really good.
I'm struggling to get a peak in my opks. Anyone whose had a miscarriage experienced this? I've had cramping like ovulation but not even a line on my opks 🤦🏼‍♀️

@Theawkwardblonde I have 🙋🏼‍♀️ this is the first time I've got a peak on my opk but don't know if that's down to the mc or just me not always ovulating so I'm prob not much help but I've literally had months where I've been convinced I knew when I was ov but then not getting a peak just a higher then lower then goes up again and is just all over the place! Sorry can't be more help but someone else may be of more assistance to you

@Marvellouslymadmum how bizarre! When I've had my miscarriages in the past they've been earlier so cycle just seemed to sort itself out. This one-not even a second line! Very annoying! My bloods and repeat bloods show I'm ovulating so I hope it's not whacked me out of sync 🤦🏼‍♀️

Which opks do you use? How long has it been since your mc if you don't mind me asking?

@Theawkwardblonde I had a mc in 2017 then another in January this year, I'm using clearblue digital advance and have actually got a peak this month but it's my first ever one lol it was all over the place last month and when I used them before I had the same issue so I may only be ovulating every now and then anyway 🤷🏼‍♀️

@motherofkittens28 your quilting idea sounds lovely, hope your bfp hurries up! I have lots of baby blanket wool, but similar to you, it's staying in a ball until we get the bfp :)

@Marvellouslymadmum yeah any progress is good isn't it! Honestly 24 was the best thing I'd watched in a long time and I don't know how I missed it all those years ago! I just remember the bass of the clock siren thundering through the house and just thought what's this annoying show my parents are watching lol! You'll know what I mean when you start 😏
@Theawkwardblonde I started the handmaids tale Friday but Dh thought it was a bad choice given his infertility so I'll have to watch that one of my own!

@notyetamumbuttrying I'm not too sure because I haven't ovulated but my Femometer app is predicting next Sunday but the sooner the better 😬 started feeling crampy earlier and now bloated too so not sure what the bloody hell is going on 🤷🏽‍♀️

I started watching the handmaiden tail a year or so ago but I think I only watched one episode and didn't really get into it for whatever reason.

@Theawkwardblonde and @Marvellouslymadmum I ise one step OPKs and very hit and miss readings with those! Never had miscarriage though so no idea on that.

@Crazydoglady123, oh dear that's terrible it lasted about 2weeks for me then calmed down so not sure what was going on lol @Marvellouslymadmum hopefully we can get our OH to get tests done soon lol I'm due on AF today and nothing happening yet so will see what happens .. it's quite unfair I believe that they won't help you still if you have children from previous relationships, you want to start a family together but that doesn't matter 😣. I have heard lots of good things about clomid I may give it another go if I get AF and see what happens

Hello all, hope you don’t mind me dropping in on the thread. I think most of you are a bit further on in the process of investigations than me. I approached my GP in December but the referral still hasn’t been put through. Now I’ve had an appointment for an ultrasound requested by the GP drop through the letterbox.

Did any of you ladies have this done before your fertility referral? Is it meant to be done at a certain point in my cycle? I really don’t want to have it done twice if it can be avoided.

@CausingChaos2 I spoke with my gp in September, they requested an ultrasound to be done for various reasons. In December the referal to fertility was sent. In January the game department contacted me to book in the ultrasound. They asked if I had heard from fertility, I hadn't, so they said they couldn't do the ultrasound 🤔! I think they said it would knock the referal out. Our referal was declined,
I asked about the ultrasound and fertility said that I would need to speak to my gp. Gp said they didn't request it, gyne did so I would need to speak with them 😑 sorry that probably isn't helpful in anyway, just my experience. It seems a bit rubbish where I am!!

Gosh RobinRose that’s appalling! What a ridiculous system. So you aren’t any further forward with it? I wonder if a complaint would get to the bottom of what’s happened.

@CausingChaos2 ridiculous isn't it my? gp called me last week to go over it, can't actually remember what they said 🤦🏼‍♀️ they asked if I wanted to challenge the decision to decline the fereral, I told them there wouldn't be any point, would be another x amount of months to hear from fertility, just to give the same decision. Looking at going private now!

I cant remember who said what but I watched several series' of reign years ago, can't remember how far I got though, maybe I should pick back up! I'm a big fan of handmaid's tale so unfortunately I'm up to date on that. I'm part way through firefly Lane at the moment so guess I will carry on with that when I get home later. Plans to watch TV in bed later, OH changed the bed this morning it will be nice and fresh and cosy to get into! I've also requested scones with clotted cream as my "im feeling sorry for myself" treat and apparently you are supposed to eat McDonald's chips after egg collection so that is on the agenda too!

@MIW01 I couldn't get anywhere with the ov strips, so much easier with the cb digital ones!

@Herehoping93 I'm just glad they still do tests and offer other help such as clomid. Yes persuading my oh to speak to a doc is virtually impossible sometimes, I have to pick my moment lol

@CausingChaos2 hi and welcome, I'm only waiting for blood tests from the gp no scan or referral for me yet but I understand that the bloods and scans can be done before a referral but don't know if it's the same in every area.

I'm only two eps in for the handmaids tale and I'm not hooked or anything but will keep going (on my own) as everyone raves about it!
@CausingChaos2 welcome! Always happy to get newbies 😁 yes scan and bloods before referral. You can have the scan at anytime (I was on my period for mine). You'll also need your Dh to have a semen analysis first too.

Reigns on my watch list. Need to finish firefly lane (two eps in on that as well), I watch about 4 things at one time lol as some are just for me, some are with Dh.

@notyetamumbuttrying ooh I'm really looking forward to getting into it! We watched 3 episodes in the end last night and we were just starting to get right into it! I may try the handmaiden tale again sometime I do feel like most series you need a few episodes to get properly hooked, I probably gave up too easily!

Egg collection done and they only got 1 egg. I feel broken and have no hope that we will get to ET with just 1.
