We're a mixed bunch of ladies ttc with all sorts of issues, mainly of the male factor kind! 😏 Though there's a range of reasons over here, come join if you've been in the ttc game for a long time and had nearly every test under the sun ☀️ and heading for interventions. There's ivf chat as well as natural. Buckling up for the ride of their lives are our usual riders: 😎

@Marvellouslymadmum I consistently get a faint positive opk throughout while cycle as my LH is double my FSH although still in normal range...its the ratio that's important. @Annny27 we use insemination as well due to ME and 12 hour shifts could that be an option? X

Marvellouslymadmum · 26/02/2021 12:22

@kerrym87 I'm just looking forward to getting the blood tests done now and hoping it actually gives me some kind of results! I've messaged a private clinic about getting a scan too as I found out there's literally one down the road from me and it's not expensive either! So I'm hoping I can get that down there rather than waiting for blood results then trying to persuade the gp to refer me for one!

kerrym87 · 26/02/2021 12:29

@SunnySide1992 I'm getting a hsg and laparoscopy on the 12th march, got pre-OP appt today

Motherofkittens28 · 26/02/2021 12:44

@Crazydoglady123 happy to answer whatever i can when you want to ask!

Tofu35 · 26/02/2021 13:02

@crazydoglady123 it's in the calendar, don't worry about that 😎😉

Today in my "tofu's moment of zen" I thought while it's shite it's taking a long time to get pregnant, it's given me and DH a lot of funny sex (and some boring sex too!) and at least when it does happen, the world will be recovering from covid. So maybe when we go for scans, he'll be able to come in, and when I'm in the maternity ward, it won't be as rigid as some of my covid baby mum pals described.

All for the best, eh?

notyetamumbuttrying · 26/02/2021 13:17

@PeanutButterBrownies yay to an appointment date and another March baby in our midst! Oh I do hope you get to have your friends over, that would be ace 🤞🏾
@Motherofkittens28 good luck for this afternoon lovely ☺️
Great that the wedding can go ahead!
🎉 you can do it if you need to lose weight. Was the only thing that motivated me in 2019 then I put it all bk on 😆 🤦🏾‍♀️
@Tofu35 I get those twinges all the time when I see those that were successful before me. My sister included who wasn't even trying!! And good zen mantra, I think like that too.
@Crazydoglady123 yeah totally! Snapping out of my funk now. Think the weekend looming and sun shining is helping my mood 😎
@SunnySide1992 not had a hsg done. Not sure you'd need to if you've been pregnant before but worth an ask to a dr.
@kerrym87 how long did it take to get your lap appointment? I was told the waiting list was a year!! I think I have endo so hoped they'd give me one sooner but as it's not debilitating they won't 😒

This bus is moving fast 😳😂!! For anyone interested, you can change your settings so there aren't so many pages to scroll though. Click on 'talk' - customise - messages per page 😎

I have been looking into my local fertility clinic, they offer a free consultation with a fertility nurse so going to get that booked! Looked into getting some additional tests so will discuss that with the nurse. Its progress I guess!😌

Tofu35 · 26/02/2021 13:41

That's great news @robinrose! Book that appt :)

RobinRose · 26/02/2021 14:36

@Tofu35 thank you 😊 just got an email with a veeeery long questionnaire to till put, then they will book us in for the consultation 😁

Marvellouslymadmum · 26/02/2021 14:44

@RobinRose great that they do a free consultation though, all the places I've looked so far it's a minimum of £250!

kerrym87 · 26/02/2021 15:17

@notyetamumbuttrying so we got referred to clinic October ish, first appt with consultant was 6th Jan, however they said they couldn't give me a date. I was lucky and got a cancellation at the local private (Ramsey) hospital where the NHS trust has been using their facilities, so private nurses/hospital but my NHS consultant doing procedure. We can get it private round here but cheapest was over 1k x

krj2688 · 26/02/2021 15:43

@Narwhal88 @Justbecause88

Another 1988 here! I'm august.

Marvellouslymadmum · 26/02/2021 15:56

You're all making me feel old with your 1988! I'm 1979 🙈

crazycatlady1981 · 26/02/2021 16:36

@RobinRose that’s good news! Hope you get an appointment soon!

@notyetamumbuttrying ah I’m an autumn baby! DH is end of Jan so nearly in the Feb DH club! 😬

@Marvellouslymadmum my husband is in the 1979 gang too so not to worry 😂

Marvellouslymadmum · 26/02/2021 17:15

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker I may have a listen to that one!

My partner and I haven't actually planned a wedding yet I'm not sure he'll actually propose as we've just discussed marriage and agreed we would both like too but it's second time round for us both and we have to get divorced first 😂 we are hoping for a nice beach wedding somewhere, just the two of us then honeymoon there and come home for a vow ceremony/blessing and big party so the kids can be involved and family get to celebrate but by the time we've paid for divorces, possibly ivf and everything else it may be 2042 😂

@Justbecause88 I'm glad I'm not the only one!

notyetamumbuttrying · 26/02/2021 17:24

@RobinRose great progress! And free too, onto a winner there chick 🐥
@kerrym87 I thought it was around that price. Might have to splash out if I don't get pregnant this year! The pain can be unbearable sometimes!
@Marvellouslymadmum I was just gonna ask if I'm the oldest here as I turn 35 next month 🤪
A 2042 wedding sounds lovely 😜
@crazycatlady1981 nearly nearly 😬
@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker thanks for the podcast tip, need something to listen to since finishing BFN.

@notyetamumbuttrying no deffo not lol I'll be 42 next month 😫 I'm sure we will get our wedding one day haha

Tofu35 · 26/02/2021 18:14

Its Friday, it's my FW, it's time for the Mumsnet favourite- McDonald's fries!

We can do so little just now, we went on a drive around our local authority area and treated ourselves to a drive thru (but only ordered fries because neither of us were that hungry yet!).

Living la vida loca!

Motherofkittens28 · 26/02/2021 18:22

So scan three complete and follicles are now 18,17,14 13 and 8 (an extra one seems to have popped up!) I was hoping for three at 18 by now but they have said to do another day of stims (15 days now!) and do my trigger shot tomorrow night and we might get 4 eggs. Egg collection is scheduled for 10:30 on Monday.

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker I dont have my dress yet, I almost got it before Christmas but wanted to go back and try it again before committing and then tier 4 and lockdown hit. I have an appointment on 17 April to try it again and hopefully buy it then. The wedding is 17 July in a barn in Surrey, I've gone mad and am hiring a fake tree to go in the barn with lots of candles, the ceremony will be in front of it and I'm going to walk down the aisle to INXS (huge 80s fan here). Its mostly organised but all the little bits I've let slide due to the pandemic and not knowing if we would be going ahead or not.

Marvellouslymadmum · 26/02/2021 18:40

@Tofu35 woohoo living the dream! We are looking at getting some exercise equipment this weekend to put in the multi use room (dining room/laundry/crafts/Xbox room) the oh seems to be all excited all of a sudden about getting more fit and healthy! Which is great news for ttc so I guess we will be avoiding mcD fries for a while 😑

@Motherofkittens28 great news about the follicles they deffo seem to be responding well to the Stims, Really keeping everything crossed for you, 4 eggs would be a great shot! My sister and her fiancé were supposed to be organising their wedding for Boxing Day last year and we're going to have it in a barn too, I'm hoping they're going to re-plan for this year. Sounds like it's all go with you

notyetamumbuttrying · 26/02/2021 18:50

@Marvellouslymadmum bless ya! I'm sure you will too 😘
@Tofu35 yum, love maccers fries 🍟
@Motherofkittens28 yay to extra follicles 🥳 how exciting and best of luck for Monday!!
Fajita Friday in our household tonight 🌮

@SunnySide1992 I haven't had a HSG but had a Hycosy which I believe is the same principle except a HSG they take an X Ray rather than ultrasound.

@Marvellouslymadmum did you speak to the ultrasound company?
Divorces are long, I'm divorced.

@Tofu35 that is very true about being pregnant and Covid. About McDonald's fries, have you ever tried them dipped in vanilla milkshake...the best 😆

@notyetamumbuttrying so pleased you're feeling a bit more yourself today. Roll on a sunny weekend...soon be summer and longer days 🥂🌞

@RobinRose that's great you have a free consultation!

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker you are queen of self help mantras and links 💫 I'm going to have a look but it's very true, people who haven't been through what you have don't understand.

@Motherofkittens28 thank you and great news about your scan. Bet your OH is relieved 😅 How are you feeling about egg collection? What I wanted to find out was when do you start in your cycle? Next month I'm doing Clomid whilst going through my IVF tests and consultation/plan but the next cycle they've said I can start but will it be CD1 or do most people start on CD21?

RobinRose · 26/02/2021 19:36

@Marvellouslymadmum @notyetamumbuttrying @Crazydoglady123 I know! I had to read it several times
To make sure I was reading it right! It's basically to go over our general health, ways to boost natural fertility, recommendations for tests and an explanation of what the results will reveal, and discussion of the possible treatment options relevant to us. I thought it would be a good starting point !

@crazycatlady1981 thank you, I imagine it will be a couple of weeks? Not sure how quickly they get things done
