We're a mixed bunch of ladies ttc with all sorts of issues, mainly of the male factor kind! 😏 Though there's a range of reasons over here, come join if you've been in the ttc game for a long time and had nearly every test under the sun ☀️ and heading for interventions. @Annny27 sorry didn't fully answer your question I realise! So, got referred October to fertility clinic, seen jan 6th, they said they couldn't tell me how long until investigations due to covid and theatre availability but then got a call after pushing for them to outsource and for cancellations giving 3 weeks notice for 12th March so wasn't long at all. Getting clinic FU 3 months to allow things to settle and OH to continue losing weight etc

@notyetamumbuttrying saving money is good! Extra to spend in the future on exciting bits like prams etc! He said yes so I'm doing this cycle 🎉 just spoken to access fertility to apply for the package and just working out all the fees overall and so far for packages, meds, screening and extra for ICSI is over £12k 😨

@kerrym87 so was it just close to your tubes then? I still don't get how it doesn't show on a scan if that's the case, but obvs I'm not well versed in anatomy 🤪 I just hope I get to have it before my ivf appointment and then I'll be fully informed over what to do next. Likely delay ivf as long as poss if it's a successful procedure, so that we can have a good crack at natural. I know we have to use funding within 3 months of approval tho so that's June.

@notyetamumbuttrying yeah quite a lot of people know irl, but they don't know the exact dates as didn't want the pressure.
Great news about your lap! It's all coming now like buses haha!
Endo very rarely shows on ultrasound scans from what I have researched. You need an MRI confirmed with a lap. It's why it takes so long for women to be diagnosed as a lap is surgery and they don't like doing it. After this IVF cycle I'm gonna push for investigation.

@Annny27 so sorry about BFN, totally understand the grief, especially the months where something is different and you get your hopes up only to be crushed again. ❤️

Hi @clolo we are in a similar position. Also 32 and ttc for 21 months, doing my 1st stims injection tonight for IVF ICSI for severe male factor- very low count and low morphology.

My baseline scan went well ladies, lining needs to be under 4mm and was 3.1. Follicles on each ovary though she didn't say how many. Got to start my stims injections tonight eek 😬 needles are really tiny so not too nervous about it tbh.

Hi, can I join as well please? The BFPs by fertile unicorns are starting to get me down in other threads, as bitter as that sounds.

I'm 33, came off the pill in Sep 2019 - NTNP until Jan 2020 so am officially 16 cycles properly TTC but as far as the NHS has been told by me it's the Sep date that counts... Never had a BFP and all our tests so far are perfectly normal (other than a slightly elevated TSH) so I think we're heading down the unexplained infertility route.

Am currently waiting for a follow up appointment with the fertility clinic on the 25th. Last cycle I had my day 3 bloods and AMH tested, redid the ultrasound, redid an SA and had an HSG so the appointment should cover the results of all of these. If nothing comes out of the tests and I have to wait until the 2 year mark to even apply for funding I think we might opt to go private for IVF and hopefully start this summer?

@notyetamumbuttrying its not always there, it builds up as your lining builds up and sheds with your period so it's harder to see on scan unless its quite bad

@Crazydoglady123 glad you got it sorted for this cycle, it adds up quick though doesn't it!

@notyetamumbuttrying oh that's quick! They seem to be giving indications of long waiting times then it turns out to be ticker which is much better in my view! We would definitely be sussed if we went out and didn't drink too - one of us may get away with it due to driving but that would be it lol

@Annny27 have you had your iron and vitamin d levels checked? They can both effect it too

@notyetamumbuttrying they don't notice most things but you have a soft drink when your out and they're all eagle eyed!! 😂 all good here thank you just happily looking forward to referral and tests whilst still secretly hoping it was just the iron levels stopping us and now that they're going back up we may actually be in with a chance naturally 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

I'm so embarrassed by how I thought I was pregnant too haha. Literally was thinking when we would have our first scan, how we would tell family next week. Atleast I still have optimism hey..... 💩

@Crazydoglady123 yay for starting this cycle! I’m also worrying about having to make excuses to people when doing ivf! My main concern is that I’ll catch Covid and they’ll cancel the treatment so I’m keen to avoid everyone for the duration! 🤣

@notyetamumbuttrying I have no idea about the lap before IVF but as it is surgery I imagine you'll need time to rest and let things settle so might have to wait a cycle or 2 inbetween?

@Annny27 don't be embarrassed we all do that, only have to start spotting a day late and it's all 'I wonder how we should tell people'. I think it's good to still have hope. My IVF is NHS funded but at a private clinic. It's all been so good so far, the nurses are so lovely.

I sound like a wet blanket but I don't drink that much normally and I've pretty much stopped drinking the last 18 months. I haven't touched alcohol since Christmas. Friends wouldn't bat an eyelid if I didn't drink 😂 I'd just say I didn't feel like it and it would be fine.

@@narwhal88 I dont drink much either. Had a prosecco at Christmas and that was it since haha 😂😂 I tend to be the designated driver but I dont mind as I am pretty social whilst sober haha!

@crazycatlady1981 yes I have seen those! I follow some ivfers on instagram and have seen a few colouring books!

@Juno231 glad to see you here I completely feel the same about other threads 🤦‍♀️ as much as I like the chat there it's good to have this one too!

I feel very far behind everyone here as I've only just bothered to get the ball rolling on testing (regretting that now) so I'll have more of a clue about what everyone's talking about and be able to keep up with the chat after I get my first tests and results in a week or so.

@Juno231 my doctor didn't even ask how long we had been TTC she just booked the tests from me starting the appointment by saying we had been TTC for over a year. You'd think they need to know if there's a 2 year minimum before being referred for IVF. I guess it would be down to the fertility clinic to ask that so maybe my doctor doesn't care as it's just blood tests and SA through the doctor happening right now. She didn't even ask if we DTD regularly or have children already 😅 was such a rushed appointment. After me sitting writing all my notes before it and ready to answer everything.

A good clear out sounds good doesn't it. I just hope my body will be raring to go soon afterwards! Might start lifting weights or something
