If it wasnt for the fertility issues my lifes pretty awesome. Just having a family is all I want in life so it's the "what ifs" that are getting me down :/ @@creativethinkertequiladrinker

Also pandemic life dorsnt really allow me to enjoy children living 😂😂

Annny27 · 17/03/2021 12:34

Child free life** not children life

Marvellouslymadmum · 17/03/2021 12:45

Hi @clolo lots of lovely supportive ladies here and quite a few starting their ivf journeys too!

@Annny27 sorry about the bfn 😕 hopefully you'll get some answers soon, I feel the same sometimes as we've been ttc for 3 years now with no answers yet, have you had all your tests now? I can't remember who has and who hasn't anymore 😂

@Annny27 I've been TTC 26 months now and I've found since January this year it's just felt a lot harder mentally and I have totally lost all motivation and concentration for 'normal life' at the minute and dreading seeing friends now when lockdown lifts. The only thing I'm learning is that the bad days aren't everyday and if I feel fed up it's okay I just do what I can that day as tomorrow is a different day

Crazydoglady123 · 17/03/2021 13:15

So update after talking to the ivf clinic they now want to decide which cycle I go off based on how many follicles the Clomid has grown on my scan...which is Monday...so another 4 days of not knowing or being able to plan (that's my biggest downfall-needing to plan!) 😑 I've got to fill the consent forms in today and book my pre treatment appointment tomorrow for next week just in case we go off this cycle. My ovaries are already getting pulling sensations and twinges and were abstaining from DTD till the scan so I'm secretly hoping I ovulate before Monday (CD12) although my OH has said I should just tell them we want to go off this cycle and that's that as at the end of the day, we're the ones paying for it.

kerrym87 · 17/03/2021 13:17

@Annny27 I am still sore but also still easily tired, not sure if uts because they removed endometriosis and drilled my ovaries as well as having a look around. Got bruises in all 3 insertion sites and stomach feels like I've done a lot of sit ups and tender with anything other than loose trousers and its when I bend I normally have a high pain threshold so its taken me by surprise, was on tramadol for 2 days to be able to sleep. Just having the investigations is likely to be better, plus AF arrived Monday 3 days after so that didn't help either!

notyetamumbuttrying · 17/03/2021 13:27

@clolo you absolutely can join lovely!! This one doesn't go as fast as well so you can actually chat and not get overwhelmed with tons of reply's like the other one 😆
@Annny27 I'm 5dpo today but trying not to count "yeah right" 😝
Ah so sorry it was bfn hun! Hope the docs can explain the spotting and prescribe something for it. Perhaps progesterone pessaries, I've heard of ladies taking that.

Just sat waiting for a blood test as part of pre assessment stuff before the lap. They told me the wait was a year but they called me in today after calling me yesterday so hopefully the lap is a lot sooner! ESP if ivf isn't successful first time! Will catch up properly in a bit too.

Hi everyone 🙂 I'm so confused. Been feeling nauseous since af arrived, like travel sickness but not severe enough to actually be sick and a really sore head. I've had 3 days with a headache that feels like a migraine coming on. I'm in CD 10 now and always get my peak around CD 10-12. Past 2 cycles I've been using clearblue Bluetooth opks and have gotten the flashing smiley on CD 8 and 9 but today was still no flashing smiley. What confuses me even more is the ewcm I have today. There's loads today, the amount I would normally get on a peak day (if I get any as sometimes I barely get any). I thought I should at least have a flashing smiley with ewcm especially a lot of it. I'm lucky if I get any on a peak day normally lol.

I wouldn't mind the headaches and sickness if I was actually pregnant 😂🤦‍♀️

notyetamumbuttrying · 17/03/2021 13:32

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker the same issues I'm going through! I need to lose two stone ideally and all I can manage is a few lbs and they go straight bk on! I passed up an opportunity to go for a head of role in my company which my boss even quizzed me on today and asked why I didn't apply. I just felt it was pointless if I'm gonna go through ivf/get pregnant etc and didn't want the added stress of a progression role.
@Crazydoglady123 defo tell them what you hun. They'll pull their finger out then too!
@kerrym87 ah you poor thing. This is after the lap right? X

@Motherofkittens28 I'm so sorry ❤️😔 sending you lots of hugs x

@Annny27 so sorry about your bfn they never get easier and you just always hope to see that second line 😔
Im completely out of sorts now the last few days, I got bfn yesterday and today so I know my bloods will come back negative but now I'm just all over the place, I don't even know whether to count that 2 day bleed as a period now 🙄 haven't even really checked my temp properly since. So so disheartening. Feeling quite fed up with the whole process today 😭 feel like my life has just turned into ttc, staring at tests for about 2 hours in the morning everyday, lockdown doesn't help when I just have so much more time wanting and wishing to start our family 😭

Crazydoglady123 · 17/03/2021 14:00

Thanks @notyetamumbuttrying. It really needs to be this cycle. My anxiety is kicking in at the thought of people quizzing us for not drinking at the parties in May. Like one is walking distance from us so there really would be no excuses. I just couldn't cope if people start digging and my OH doesn't want me to not go to them

@Dogmum13 that's odd. Have you done a HPT just in case?

Crazydoglady123 · 17/03/2021 14:01

@notyetamumbuttrying I meant to write too, you're doing really well with all your treatments...they're flying in!

kerrym87 · 17/03/2021 14:09

@Dogmum13 I know this is possibly not a very nice suggestion but would it be worth getting a covid test? Headache and nausea can actually be a symptom. Either that or double check hpt x

notyetamumbuttrying · 17/03/2021 14:17

@Crazydoglady123 I hear ya. We're drinkers too and it's so hard to explain away. Mine would all scream "you're pregnant" if I wasn't. Dh had to cut bk and he just said he's concentrating on being healthier as he still had a few, he just drank them slower. @clolo idea is good with bringing your own fake booze and mixing your own drinks and just act a bit tipsy!

Yeah I'm so chuffed things are moving again. The nurse said to expect an appointment in two weeks!! 😳

Annny27 · 17/03/2021 14:23

@notyetamumbuttrying amazing!!! Not long now :D

@kerrym87 was it nhs and what was the wait time? I think I may need one too

@aimzie thanks lovely 💚 its soooo hard isnt it when you are "in limbo"
It's horrible:(

@dogmum13 yep deffo take a hpt just incase!

@crazydoglady123 100% not every day is shit it's usually only the days around my period Haha 😂 it's a tough journey!

@@creativethinkertequiladrinker yeah I think life would be a lot happier with a baby haha!

Annny27 · 17/03/2021 14:24

@marvellouslymadmum I still need my hycosy but other than that I have had all hormone tests, scans and things and my hubby has had SA - all normal! Got to book my hycosy for this month but they only have an appointment on the 8th april so it would mean missing a month of ttc!

notyetamumbuttrying · 17/03/2021 14:48

@Annny27 if I get it booked in for the end of the month like she alluded to and I do have endo and it's cleared away from my tubes, then they'd be no need for ivf...we can put it off for three months only, under the nhs so think we'd do that and see if natural works 😬
Do you think you'll take that April date for the hycosy then?

OP posts:
Crazydoglady123 · 17/03/2021 14:54

@notyetamumbuttrying yeah that's exactly what our friends are like! They're always calling the early pregnancy's out so I'm literally freaking out at being in that situation. I feel so fragile mentally atm I think I'd prob just burst out crying. @clolo idea is great but knowing my luck someone will want to try some 🙈 I've just spoken to my clinic again and spoke to a really nice nurse and she understood and is going to have another chat with the consultant about if I can just make the decision now. That way I can also cancel my scan Monday and save a 2 hour round trip for nothing.
That makes total sense if the lap shows endo and they remove it, giving you a better go at conceiving naturally. We're both changing our plans daily 😂😂

notyetamumbuttrying · 17/03/2021 15:10

@Crazydoglady123 I'm glad I'm not the only one changing constantly 😂 even i can't keep up with myself lol! I was so gung-ho for an April ivf start, now I want it to be June lol! But that's only if the lap gets done before our appointment in April...means I won't have to book a hycosy now either won't it 🥳 saving money now too! Yay to the nhs, I won't slate them again 😝 I'm glad you spoke to a helpful nurse, I hope they can sort you out and get the plan that you want (and deserve) 😘

@Annny27 was NHS but at a private hospital as they hired the theatre space/facilities. If you have hyscosy there's no GA needed and is minimally invasive. If you have the lap they tend to do the hsycosy or hsg at the same time while they're there, so less cost overall.
@notyetamumbuttrying I have some endo but my tubes were completely clear -they did clear what I had to prevent it from blocking my tubes and if they are blocked, it informs the next step straight away as sometimes dye unblocks them and if it doesn't, its a clear next step of assisted conception x
