@theawkwardblonde it is rubbish isn't it! My sister will be ttc no.2 soon so I have that announcement to wait for.... at least I know to expect it!

@Patsydarling I've done the same as you, removing people and hiding them!

@notyetamumbuttrying nothing particularly useful! IB can be brown, dark brown, black, and sometime pink or dark red so not helpful at all! 🙄

@Patsydarling yeah she’s one of my few friends that knows we’re ttc, she struggled too and had several rounds of ivf, but I haven’t really spoken to her about my ttc issues since she got pregnant. I’m quite grateful that I’m not having to see anyone in person with their babies at the moment! Lockdown definitely has some silver linings!

@Crazydoglady123 we need to schedule a follow up consultation to discuss what happened this cycle and what they would change for the next. I've asked when we can schedule it as I just want to book the next cycle in and have a plan. I think they said 2 bleeds between cycles, but I'm not sure if this counts as one or not. I'm thinking it will likely be May for the next cycle, hopefully the satellite clinic will be open again by then and we won't have to schlep to Southampton for every scan! Is it today you have a scan/appointment? I had Tuesday my head for some reason

@Motherofkittens28 so sorry for you loss lovely - allow yourself time to grieve, a failed embryo transfer is a loss in itself ❤❤

@Patsydarling I know there's been hype about covid and fertility but the truth is it can't be disproven or proven as there hasn't been a link established. Tens of millions of doses have been given with no evidence either way. I chose to go for it as I'd already been ttc 18 months with irregular periods anyway and covid is not only fatal for many, the long term consequences of long covid including permanent lung and organ damage, diabetes, neurological problems, long covid (i already have ME) so for me i felt it was best. My fertility clinic advised me to have it as covid far worse. Period delays could be linked to the stress of everything and worrying about having the jab and anything really.
Whatever you chose, do what you are comfortable with, just thought it might reassure you a bit (I'm a nurse and looked at the research). At end of the day though, do what you're happiest with x

Forget who said it as well, but I realised I'm the last one in my group of friends to have a baby too, my sister can't but if she had a miracle I'd be so pleased for her as we have same issues there's only my cousin left. Its more colleagues and people on Facebook! Was ok mthers day until well meaning friend sent a lovely message about worrying about no aunties and uncles (her and hubby are only kids) but that it was wonderful to have me. Was nice but I wasn't upset till then!😂

@Motherofkittens28 you'll definitely feel better getting the ball rolling. I was going to ask on my consultation this morning about the bleeds between try's.

So had my consult and my head is now 🤯 I'm low in Vit D so need to start taking some tablets. Couldn't quite understand what he said my AMH was but he said was really good. He wants us to do IVF ICSI due to MF morphology but if on the day the sample is okay we can do normal IVF. He couldn't understand why my consultant has put me back on Clomid 😐 He wants to do long protocol which I thought they'd do short because of how I responded to Clomid however he has given me the option to start off this cycle if we abstain. I'm on CD6 today and last day of Clomid. All he wants is for me to ovulate before down regs on CD21. Starting this month is better date wise than starting next cycle however my OH has made some changes for over a month now (no hot baths, Wellman). We have a Nhs scan with my consultant Monday to track how many follicles I have. If I have too many and he tells me to abstain I may see if he can trigger ovulation and deffo go off this cycle. If we don't have too many is it even worth trying this cycle on Clomid still when last time I released 5 and didn't get BFP. My OH has left it to me to decide...in an ideal world he'd love us to conceive naturally but he understands how much I'm suffering mentally month after month. The IVF clinic said I can let them know on Monday after the scan but at the minute I'm like 75% wanting to go off this cycle and 25% waiting. It's my OH 30th birthday in May and we have so many get togethers with friends and he won't be able to drink at them if we go off the next cycle.

@Crazydoglady123 We get 2 funded rounds instead 2 frozen from each round I think.
Difficult decision for you to make, I think I would probably see how this cycle of clomid goes and then once it's over draw a line and go with the ivf. That is just me though. Good news about your AMH, though I would have thought short protocol too, I wonder why he has put you on long? My vit D was also low and so was DH, I think with it being winter most people's are. Even though we were both taking supplements, we had to double the dose.

@Motherofkittens28 ah that is shit about AF. Fingers crossed this counts as one of the bleeds and you aren't waiting too long to go again. The waiting of all of this is the toughest part!

@kerrym87 AF arrived at 5am this morning, phew! So took 4.5 days. So baseline scan now 2pm tomorrow.

Got my 2nd covid vaccine jab at 2:30pm today as well.

@Narwhal88 that's good then! In most of Essex no one gets funding regardless of criteria! I'm a recluse atm and usually such an outdoorsy person so that's probably why as I eat a balanced diet. I just worked out the dates roughly if we go off this cycle and my DS will be at his dads the weekend of EC so that is a big plus factor in case I'm feeling tender. I just don't want to have to be amongst people asking why me and OH aren't drinking at the garden parties in May if we waited till next cycle. I really couldn't deal with that to the point I keep getting really anxious and worried. I feel more now like I'm 95% for going this cycle, like just get it done 🙈

@Crazydoglady123 could you not just say you drunk too much in lockdown and you are having a detox? Or take something with you that looks like alcohol. My DH has been drinking alcohol free beer and it looks like normal beer.

@Motherofkittens28 I'm so sorry, wish I could say something more helpful, hopefully you'll get some answers at your next consultation and they can get you all booked in

@Crazydoglady123 ooh that's a dilemma! I would say if they tell you to abstain after your scan Monday go for the ivf sooner rather than later, that way you have a plan in place for after the scan, whatever you do won't make a huge amount of difference though, at least you could get straight onto the ivf next month. Great about your amh though!

@Crazydoglady123 I'm all for charging ahead, the cycle itself takes time, then there is the waiting between cycles if it doesn't work, my view is just crack on! I wish I hadn't waited so long to start but I kept hoping the next month would be the one now I think I was a bit deluded lol!

@Narwhal88 it's 30th's all round for his friends parties this year and I know for a fact he won't be able to disguise not drinking. I think in my heart I want to just abandon this Clomid cycle and start down regs at the end of this month.

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker that's brutal about you colleague! Like you said before though, people who haven't struggled just don't understand. Years ago I'd be the one posting a pic on SM of a card my DS son had made me on Mother's Day but now after all this it's made me so much more aware of how other people feel (not just from an infertility point of view, also people who have lost loved ones).
How long have you been TTC now? We're cycle 26 now and just so fed up of this journey. His first SA he had a low count and 3% morphology and the repeat SA he had higher than average count but 2% morphology. His been on Wellman for a month and I've been on different vitamins but we've got Proxeed plus his and hers coming today so we're going to keep up with that till IVF.

@Marvellouslymadmum going be injecting myself and having dildo scans right over my birthday now 🙈 I'd rather sacrifice my birthday as I'm 33 this year rather than the OH 30th. I feel like he needs to celebrate that one ☺️

@Crazydoglady123 😂😂 fun birthday for you then! My birthday should be right on my fw this month so hopefully it'll be fun although I'm not looking forward to being 42 haha

@Crazydoglady123 I'm glad your Amh was good! I can see your %'s have changed since talking it through with us and on the other thread. I'm glad your minds made up, how exciting! Annoying about the dildo scans being over your bday tho. 🤪 Sweet of you to sacrifice your bday over his. My bdays on Friday, I'm just glad it's not when AF is due!

So I've just had a call to schedule my lap for next Thursday! Apparently there was a cancellation. But, how weird is this, I have to isolate from my OH for 7 days beforehand because of covid, but yet he can drive me to the hospital as long as we both wear masks! Work are probably going to be passed as I'm only going back after a month off on Monday and then will need two days sick for the opp!

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker definitely so much more respectable what I say and post. Well my NHS consultant talked about it on our initial meet but said we won't get funding but can do my Hycosy, try Letrozole and Clomid before going down the private ivf route. After how I responded before to Clomid I decided I didn't want to risk it anymore and nows the time to get help. The private consultant today after telling us our results asked us what we wanted to do and we said IVF and he agreed now is the time

@Crazydoglady123 both got the day off so will have a lie in, grab lunch out and order burgers from gbk for the evening. Ooh and drink champagne 🍾 and eat cake too 😋
@Motherofkittens28 wow that's so quick! How can they expect you to isolate from him in the same household, how odd! We're in one bed flat so that'll be impossible for us!! Just lie and say you did if it comes to it.
@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker I'm 35 on Friday so I'm very pleased the nhs sped up the appointments and we're in on the 6th April. Be great to get going same month! I'm defo more emphatic too and cringe hard at some of the stuff I used to say. Never ever again!!
