Anyone 3-6dpo and want to share ridiculous symptom spotting / poas urges?

Hi! :)

I'm 4dpo today. Had a mc last cycle so this cycle is all over the place. My boobs are currently so sore it is making me (probably foolishly) hopeful.

I'd love to get a thread running for some support. Anyone want to join?

Can someone please reassure me that I'm not going mad and there's a second line here?? I know you aren't meant to take them apart but I convinced myself it was a shadow from the clear plastic and needed to see for myself ... it's pinker in real life.. am I losing it??

Can I join please? 3dpo and ridiculously obsessive already. Can't sleep thinking that I might be pregnant. God this is awful!! Grin

Toastedsesame · 22/02/2021 13:48

@Fifi1086 @lelrx really enjoyed reading the stories of your first pregnancies. It seems we all know what we are looking for this time round, hence the symptom spotting!

lelrx I also get spotting on ovulation and sometimes after sex. I've seen my gp / had smears etc and apparently I just have a sensitive cervix. Definitely worth getting checked out tho.

Toastedsesame · 22/02/2021 13:49

@Fifi1086 I can see it.. but I think it might be the line thats naturally engrained in the test, where a pink dye would appear for a bfp. It could still be something, but for me looks like evap type line. Its mega early tho.

lelrx · 22/02/2021 13:56

@toastedsesame
I think the problem is before I had my daughter I was on the Depo injection so I didn't really know what my cycle was, I think I was about 4/5 months into getting my regular cycle again before falling with my daughter. This time coming off the Depo took a little longer so there's a chance it could still be regulating but my periods have been normal and I've not spotted in between only the month before last and this week

I keep feeling like a popping/flutter to the left of my belly button too and keep going for a number 2 regularly.
Just been to the loo again and had very watery pink when I wiped and having some cramping
I'm not really sure but what I do know is that waiting is the worsttttt xx

lelrx · 22/02/2021 13:56

@fifi1086 I can see it too, not too sure about evap lines so couldn't advise on that, I'd take another with tomorrow first wee xx

Fifi1086 · 22/02/2021 13:58

@Toastedsesame I don't think it's an evap line as it's pink, I took a better photo. Really hoping it's not another chemical.. I'll test again tomorrow

Toastedsesame · 22/02/2021 14:08

@Fifi1086 hmm if its pink then thats looking good! I would defo take another tomorrow and come back and let us know!

CosmicMonkey · 22/02/2021 14:15

@Fifi1086 - I can see a line too, fingers crossed!

@lelrx - I did have some cramping the two days after ovulation and (tmi alert) I’m very gassy which is not usual for me. Usually I have a 27 day cycle although my last one was only 26 so I think I may test Saturday with first response test

Catmum55566 · 22/02/2021 14:16

@Fifi1086- I can see something too but only time will tell if it is a BFP. So annoying that we have to do all this waiting about. Fingers crossed you get a darker line tomorrow.

@lelrx - all sounds very promising! Hopefully all early BFP signs.

@Toastedsesame - have you got any DC? I don't so my previous BFPs have ended in mc so maybe I need to be on the looknout for different symptoms for a successful pregnancy? Who knows?!

Welcome @Jackitty!

Who is testing next? I am planning to hold off till 10dpo. Never had a line appear before then so I must be a 8-9 dpo implanter. Pointless me testing before, not that this always stops me!

Toastedsesame · 22/02/2021 14:20

@Catmum55566 I have a little boy who is 3. We conceived him on the first month trying, was a super easy breezy pregnancy. The only symptoms I had were sore boobs. I never felt sick either.

I think this time round will be harder, its already been 5 months and 1mc. When we conceived last cycle I only had sore boobs on and off and that was my only remarkable symptom, but I do remember having a bad feeling about it. Just somehow knew it wouldn't stick. How many mc's have you had? Have they all been similar gestation? Absolutely no need to answer if you would prefer not to ofc.

lelrx · 22/02/2021 14:28

It's really frustrating isn't it because alot of it is also period symptoms, but surely my period won't come 11 days early I know it could but it just makes me anxious
Those tesco tests with the faint positives have made me hopeful but I don't know how common it is to get evap lines consecutively, and with it being so early aswell

The waiting game isn't for me, I want everything yesterday 😭😂

Catmum55566 · 22/02/2021 16:34

@Toastedsesame aww 3, how cute! Glad to hear you had a trouble free 1st pregnancy but must make it all the harder now. Sorry to hear you are finding it tricker this time. I don't mind answering about the mcs at all, I can't really talk about it in the 'real world'. We have been TTC about 5 months too. 2nd month post pill I got a BFP but didn't get darker and very early miscarriage at 4.5 weeks. Only a week late so classed as a 'chemical'. Following month also got a BFP, lines were darker so was feeling hopeful, especially as I had read that only 2pc of women have 2 MC in a row. I mc at 6 weeks but tests had stayed the same for a week so assume it stopped growing at 5. Again very early which makes be think their might be something going on. Just waiting on blood test results and will keep going with asprin in the meantime. If you don't mind me asking, how far along were you with your mc?

@lelrx I know what you mean about wanting everything yesterday, I am so impatient, especially in lockdown!

Katiekattty · 22/02/2021 17:28

Jumping in, I’m 3dpo ttc #1. Honestly feels like the longest two weeks of my life. I normally get ovulation cramps and feel a bit tender on one side but that only lasted an hour. On and off cramps the last couple of days that I’ve convinced myself are implantation cramps and I’m really tired all the time.

Toastedsesame · 22/02/2021 20:27

@Catmum55566 That sounds so hard, especially knowing that percentage. I would probably give the aspirin a go too in that position - I have read a lot about it bringing success. I was considering it myself but I thought I'm probably jumping the gun and I should see how the next couple of cycles go.

My mc was a "chemical" but I kind of dislike calling it that myself, kind of minimises it. It was 5weeks 2 days. I think the worst bit is rewinding and forgetting all that joy and excitement and being back to square one. Time goes so slowly at the moment!

Worth mentioning, I do have an autoimmune disease called Hashimotos, which is thyroid related. It can affect fertility but mine is very early stages, I don't even qualify for medication yet - partly why we decided to crack on with ttc asap!

How old are we all, if you don't mind me asking?

@Katiekattty Welcome! I've had a fair bit of cramping too, but not like af cramps, more like ovulation type cramps. Its so hard not knowing whats going on down there isn't it!

This is what my cramps feel like but usually my ovulation ones are a lot more painful. This is just weirdly uncomfortable. I’m 37 and 38 this year so time is not on my side. I’m going to resist the temptation to test early so I need to find a distraction.

Catmum55566 · 22/02/2021 21:07

@Toastedsesame. I am trying to keep positive though, there is still just as much chance that it was bad luck than anything else plus taking the asprin makes me feel like I am doing something. I know it's not easy to hear after a loss as it heartbreaking but, I did so much research after the last one and following 1 loss your chances of having a successful pregnancy are exactly the same as before e.g. high. It is a stat worth thinking about on tough days. I have just turned 33 btw.

@Katiekattty I echo what has been said about cramps. It is hard telling the difference between ovulation/AF/BFP!

Toastedsesame · 22/02/2021 21:11

@Katiekattty Yes same! My ovulation pains can be worse than AF sometimes ( but weirdly it is more painful on my left than my right. I had minor ovarian torsion on my left side last year - was in hospital overnight but it righted itself - so think thats why! ) but this is just a kind of niggling aching.

I'm 34, so same really. Thought I'd better get a move on.

@Catmum55566 Yes, definitely! If I've learned anything from mumsnet, its that miscarriages are ridiculously common. I'm really rooting for you this cycle tho.

I've now convinced myself that the line earlier was an evap, wish I hadn't taken it apart 🙈 feeling really unwell this eve, very dizzy which came in around 3pm or so. Going to retest on wed and Friday. Will see How it goes

lelrx · 22/02/2021 21:29

@fifi1086 I feel the same about the tesco ones I did yesterday
I've continued to have brown spotting when I wipe though and feeling bloated this evening, think I will do a pink dye test tomorrow
Not even sure what brand they are they were just from a local shop but I did one today with my fmu and nothing came up xx

Toastedsesame · 22/02/2021 21:30

@Fifi1086 Chin up chick, no one can say either way. We've all been there and taken them apart. Give it a few days 💐

OP posts:
Fifi1086 · 22/02/2021 21:31

@lelrx did you take a pic of your tests yesterday? If the brown spotting is IB then it can take a couple of days for hcg to build up!

lelrx · 22/02/2021 22:00

@fifi1086
I did but you couldn't see on pictures
Also I did 2 and both had a very very faint line, I ripped them apart earlier and it was still visable, could have been an evap, not really sure about them though and if it would have happened with both
I usually wee in a container and test in there, I also do actually know how many dpo I am, I want to say around 6dpo or 7dpo today because when I ovulate I get a bad headache and I logged a headache on the 16th but I may have had a headache the day before but because I logged the spotting on the 16th I would have added the headache too if that makes sense
I'm so used to having a headache when ovulating now that I don't bother logging it 😅 any other symptoms for you? Xx

Sderj · 22/02/2021 22:06

Hey! I hope you all don’t mind me joining!

I’m 4dpo today, symptoms so far are headaches every day and also lots of lotion like cm. 😩 I was late for ovulation this month! Was supposed to ovulate on the 13th but ended up ovulating on the 18th!

I’m 23 and OH is 24, TTC baby #1! It’s our second cycle trying ☺️ Nice to meet everyone!
