Hi! :)

I'm 4dpo today. Had a mc last cycle so this cycle is all over the place. My boobs are currently so sore it is making me (probably foolishly) hopeful.

I'd love to get a thread running for some support. Anyone want to join?

@coffee1988 sorry you got a BFN at 12dpo however it was only early - assuming AF is due around now? Your symptoms do sound really promising.

Yes I am glad it's not the full pcos but at the stage they can't rule that out either until I have further blood tests. The good news is they will give me some medication to bring ovulation forward and then monitor the 2nd half of my cycle to see if there is a hormonal issue or not. Going to start next week, got to call them when AF arrives. However, got a slight spanner in the works today. I have not even bothered testing this TWW but felt funny this morning at 9dpo and got a faint line on an IC. Been here before though!

12dpo today and I have some decent lines. I am really hoping this one sticks 🤞

Omg amazing @Catmum55566 those lines look nice and strong. Really hope it's a sticky bean for you! How are you feeling?

I finally had my scan yesterday, at 15+3! All is well thankfully.

Catmum55566 · 18/05/2021 10:33

Glad to hear that @Toastedsesame! However I can't believe it took that long to get your NHS scan, it is ridiculous! Imagine if you hadn't had a private one? Anything could have been going on! I bet it is such a relief though. Has your EDD changed at all?

I am feeling fine physically thanks. Appart from veiny boobs no symptoms yet. Mentally though...keep trying to tell myself to relax and see what happens. It is hard though, I am struggling to see how it can be a positive outcome, while on the flip side keeping thinking something feels different this time.

Toastedsesame · 18/05/2021 10:46

@Catmum55566 I know, it is a sorry state of affairs.

I think it's natural to feel hesitant and unsure. I think you can seek comfort in the fact these lines are much darker than any before (I know I did). I think also sounds like you now have a bit of a plan of action in place if needed. Really rooting for you.

Meant to say, EED is now 6th November so one day later.

@Catmum55566 wow this is AMAZING!! How's your line today? Those are some really strong lines! All fingers crossed for you.

I've booked myself in for some tests. Getting a scan and blood tests tomorrow to see if there's anything to worry about. Ovulating again next weekend so I guess I'll just keep plodding on and hope for luck with the next round!

great you got your scan at last @Toastedsesame . So exciting and great everything is well so you can relax a bit!

Fifi1086 · 20/05/2021 18:17

Hey everyone! Long time no updates 😂 I've had a really rough time the last month, lost my best friend tragically and just haven't been up to the whole ttc thing. Didn't track or do opks or anything. So it was a bit of a shock today to get two positive CBs.. I don't know what dpo id be but I think about 11? I did a FRER which came back totally negative though so I don't know what to think??

Anyone 3-6dpo and want to share ridiculous symptom spotting / poas urges?
Catmum55566 · 21/05/2021 10:12

@Toastedsesame great to hear your EDD hasn't changed much, hopefully you will get better treatment from your local NHS now.

@coffee1988 how did your scan go? What bloods are you having? I think it's useful to get the tests, to put your mind and ease really that everything is ok, more than anything.

@Fifi1086 so sorry to hear about your friend. That must be tough. I hope this is the start of your BFP....I have been testing like a manic and have used all sorts of tests and my CB line started like this.

Well (only!) 15dpo here...time seems to be going very slowly. This what a short LP does!! I have been a bit up and down the past few days to be honest. I think the previous 3 losses are impacting on how I feel about this one at the moment. I have been feelikg anxious. Got a 2-3 on a CB digi though so that has helped a bit. Going to just try testing weekly from now on and see what happens.

Toastedsesame · 21/05/2021 20:08

@Fifi1086 So sorry to hear about your friend, sounds like you've had a rough old time. I agree with Catmum tho this is exactly how my lines started early on, I barely got a line on a frer, the clearblue seemed to work better for me.

@Catmum55566 Time goes so slowy in the beginning, it is nerve wracking. I found best thing for me was to stay busy and focus on other things, easier said than done though I know! Also, I've been curious this whole time, how many cats do you have?

I'm 16 weeks today, can't believe how slow but also how fast its gone.

OP posts:
Catmum55566 · 23/05/2021 08:17

@Toastedsesame? Wow 16 weeks, that has gone quickly! Are you planning to find out what you are having?

Ha despite what the name suggests, I don't have 5 or 6 cats, only 2! I have a full on week at work next week, looking forward to being distracted. Ignored my own testing advice but really not going to test again until next weekend, as it is stressing me out. I would like the line to be darker but think this ok for 17dpo.

Anyone 3-6dpo and want to share ridiculous symptom spotting / poas urges?
Toastedsesame · 23/05/2021 20:34

@Catmum55566 It has, hasn't it? Yes, we would like to know this time I think! I am strongly sensing girl but I wouldn't mind another boy as long as he was as happy and as chilled as my PFB.

I personally think that line looks really, really good! Really encouraging! I have my fingers and toes crossed permanently for you. We only have one cat at the mo, but we are cat people. Keep trying to convince DH to let me adopt another rescue cat but he's very anti atm.

OP posts:
Toastedsesame · 23/05/2021 20:35

@Fifi1086 Hope you're doing ok. Any update?

OP posts:
Catmum55566 · 24/05/2021 18:44

@Toastedsesame oo what makes you think girl this time? Does your DS know he is going to be a big brother?

Thank you - I really hope this is it, will have to wait and see. We both love animals but we can't get a dog due to working hours. Ideally I would like a puppy and a kitten in the future who could grow up together. Take your DH to a rehoming centre when they are back open just to "look", that might do the trick 😂

coffee1988 · 27/05/2021 14:35

Hello All. Sorry for radio silence. Have tied switching off a bit on the whole ttc. Obviously haven't succeeded and still totally one track minded :-)

How are you getting along @Catmum55566? That line looks fab. All still OK? And all ok with you @Toastedsesame?

Had a scan last week to see what's up with me and looks like I have loads of follicles but possibly too many (!?) / v mild pcos but he didn't really say what made him think that. And I don't have any of the symptoms that go with it so wasn't really sure what to take away from that. Also no idea what that means for my fertility. DH has his test next week so we'll go from there I guess. Supposedly ovulating today or tomorrow so we'll see what happens this time round.

coffee1988 · 27/05/2021 14:37

@Catmum55566 didn't your dr. say you might have a mild form of pcos? All mine said was that my folicles looks mildly polycystic and didn't really elaborate when I quizzed him!

Catmum55566 · 29/05/2021 14:05

@coffee1988 yes he said mild pcos based on the fact my periods are a bit irregular 32-38 days and from all the follicles on the scan. I had over 40! From the reading I did though it is nothing to be worried about. Around 25pc of women have pco but most don't know as they have regular periods and no problems fertility wise. You ovulate each cycle though? The main thing that pcos does is prevent ovulation in a lot of cases, which causes the fertility issue. If you ovulate then that's why it will be classed as mild. Especially as from what I remember, your cycles are on the longer side like mine but not ridiculously long e.g. ovulating on day 50 or anything. The only thing is some scientists have speculated about it leading more miscarriages, which is what they think is the cause for me, as no other issues have been found. BUT the link is not proven and lots of women with pcos don't have miscarriages, so please don't worry about that. I read a few research blurbs and when they have compared women who have 1 miscarriage, there seems to be no difference in rates between those with pcos and those without. Those stats only change slightly when they compare people with 3 or more (which is only 1pc of women anyway!). Hopefully your DH's SA will come back as normal and then you will know it is all a matter of time.

Toastedsesame · 30/05/2021 21:11

Interesting reading the above, have obviously done your research @Catmum55566 how are you doing?

Fingers crossed all will come back as ok for your DH @coffee1988

I'm 17 weeks now and I feel like bump is getting quite noticeable. I'm leaning towards girl because its felt so different this time around. Way more sickness and my boobs are still sore. They were only sore til 10 weeks last time. I'm also craving sweet things constantly and orange juice which is apparently a common girl craving. We will find out on 21st June.

OP posts:
Catmum55566 · 03/06/2021 08:08

@Toastedsesame...yes you can see I fell down the Google rabbit hole 😂 I hope that wasn't an overwhelming amount of info @coffee1988

I can't believe you are 17 weeks now, time flies! Although your weeks seem to be going up quickly where as mine seem to be going backwards 🙈. I am 6 weeks based on ovulation or 7.5 weeks based on lmp (which doesn't fit for those of us with long cycles!) Everything seems to be ok but who knows what is going on in there! I was very crampy yesterday which made me panic but I think it is normal. Only other symptom is very sore boobs. Going to go for an early scan next week and hopefully that will put my mind at rest.

Interesting to hear your girl theories Toastedsesame. Eek not long till you find out either way!

Toastedsesame · 03/06/2021 21:26

@Catmum55566 Thats really encouraging. You'll get a lot of stretching around about now. Dating is a bit wacky isn't it, I'm surprised mine was so accurate as I worked it out on lmp based on 28 day cycle, but I've only had a handful of 28 day cycles ever. Can't wait to hear about your scan next week, please let us know how it goes!

18 weeks tomorrow and bump has really popped suddenly, feeling movement more and more now too. I ended up going to EPU on Tuesday after a big red bleed, but luckily it stopped as soon as it started and it turned out to be due to my low lying placenta and a small clot in my womb, both of which should resolve themselves. Baby was happily kicking away.

OP posts:
Catmum55566 · 08/06/2021 21:13

@Toastedsesame sorry I have not been getting any notifications of posts! Oh gosh that bleed must have been so scary!! I am glad to hear everything is ok. How exciting to feel movements now, it seems to be going quickly - not long till your 20 week scan. Excited to hear what you are having!

I am 7 weeks now and I had my scan yesterday. We saw a heartbeat and everything looks good so far and measuring where I thought. It's a relief but we aren't getting ahead of ourselves yet. It is still a while to go till the 12 week scan.

@coffee1988 how are you getting on with DHs SA? Any update on your results? Where are you in your cycle?

@Fifi1086...you've gone quiet, assuming you are taking some time out but thinking of you and hope you are ok!

Toastedsesame · 08/06/2021 22:03

@Catmum55566 Oh so happy to hear that. It must be a relief. Any idea of EDD or not thinking that far ahead yet? Have you referred yourself to antenatal care yet?

OP posts:
Fifi1086 · 10/06/2021 20:25

Hey @Catmum55566 and everyone else! It's been so long!! Yeah I'm doing ok - 8 weeks since I lost my best friend and just taking it day by day. Had a very nasty chemical last month. Had a few positives then awful bleeding, like my worst period x 100! I'm not tracking anymore as I can tell now when I'm ovulating. Period is due soon but we only dtd once during my fertile window last month. Have consultant appointment next month for short luteal phase so until I can get progesterone I'm not actively trying as I don't want another chemical!

Catmum55566 · 12/06/2021 16:49

@Toastedsesame thank you, EDD is 25th Jan based on the scan, I think. It wasn't written down anywhere but think that's what they said. Will wait till the NHS scan and see if it changes. I have contacted the midwives so just waiting for a booking appointment.

@Fifi1086 so sorry to hear about your chemical, they are really tough. You are doing the right thing taking some time out. Fingers crossed you can get the progesterone. I got some privatley quite easily after my BFP. It was actually the consultant that suggested it and said it can't do any harm. I think it was about £80 for 3 boxes but I also I have a letter to pass onto my GP so I can get more via the NHS.
