Feeling very anxious that it hasn’t worked. You’ve been there with failed cycles, you know what it’s like to not know what’s going on and wish you could know.

@thislittlebird when is your OTD?

@XjustagirlX 28th. I’m dreading it tbh. I’m unlikely to test early unless I get a migraine before that which should mean AF is coming, that’s what happened last time.

Is all ok with you still? @XjustagirlX

@thislittlebird ive got my scan on 28th where I will find out if it’s in the correct place, how many implanted and hopefully things look ok.

im trying to stay positive but just so desperate to get to the 28th. I don’t have many symptoms except sore boobs and lower back pain.

@XjustagirlX That's not too long now. did you have any symptoms in the tww? I have tender boobs, but I did last time two, it's not steady or constant, I think the progesterone does it.

Same day as my awful test, if I make it there without a period or migraine!

@thislittlebird the only symptoms I had were

• i was a bit more irritable


• the day before my OTD I got the lower back pain which was really painful


• i didn’t get my usual spot before AF. I did get a spot but it was a tiny one instead of a painful under the skin one

I honestly thought it would be negative because I didn’t have the normal symptoms people talk about.

@XjustagirlX That's the thing, it's such a headfuck because it could be either outcome. I'm annoyed at my clinic, I know they can't help having a server meltdown in the heatwave but I've been asking for a progesterone test for nearly a week and it hasn't happened, and they haven't followed up with me.

@thislittlebird is today OTD? What was your result?

@XjustagirlX it was today but I didn’t make it this far. They did a progesterone test Tuesday morning, I’d been pushing for it for a week for it, they then called me in the afternoon to say it was low and to take more Cyclogest. Horse had already bolted, I’d started bleeding before they called. I’m so fucking tired and I have to take some hope from stories like yours where it worked.

@thislittlebird im sorry. It’s so rubbish.

Will they now give you the higher dose of progesterone for your next cycle? Do you have any more embryos and can you start your next cycle straight away?

ive got my scan this afternoon and I’m feeling anxious and praying everything is ok.

@XjustagirlX fingers crossed for your scan. What number transfer was this for you?

I feel like I’m in such a tiny minority of multiple failures now. It seems to work for most people first or second time. I don’t have much hope. We have two embryos, going to hopefully transfer them both in September. Waiting to hear when my follow up consultation will be.

Did you do tests between cycles? I’ve ordered an expensive microbiome test and a much cheaper vaginal ph test. A woman on here said I don’t need an ERA if I’m doing natural, which is handy, and we don’t have enough embryos to justify genetic testing. The karotyping, where did you do that or plan to do that?

I’m scared of having to take prednisone eventually. It really fucked up my self esteem and mental health last time because of what it did to my face.

@thislittlebird that really sucks especially as you had asked to test your progesterone!!! Hopefully next cycle they will listen and properly monitor all hormones 💙💙

I’ve just had my scan and it was good news. I am measuring one day ahead at 6+4 and we saw a heartbeat. I’m going back next week for another scan.

it was only 1 baby so the second embryo mustn’t have implanted or not stuck around. I am a bit sad just because I’m also grieving for the lost embryo at the same time. But I feel silly thinking that. I also thought 2 for 1 would get me some lost. years back.

@thislittlebird this was my fourth transfer with embryos 4 and 5.

i felt the same. It always sounds like people get BFP on their first or second transfer. But when you look at the data and I spoke to my consultant about this too. On average women take 3 full cycles and on average each cycle ends up with 2.5 embryos. So we shouldn’t expect a positive until 7.5 embryos on average.

between cycles I did the karotyping test at manchester fertility but we still don’t have the results back yet. I considered the micro biome test but never got round to it. And I also bought the cheaper ph test but never did it.

have you been told prednisolone will help you? I know you don’t want to take it but it is only for a few weeks. Or could you take a lower dose? I really do feel that’s the reason this was a BFP for me.

@XjustagirlX that's really good news! I have the same thought about two, but lbr, I'll be happy with one at my age lol.

That's interesting what your consultant said, I don't feel like this is said enough. And yeah, everyone seems to be 1st or 2nd cycle. I'm going to sign up for two more cycles once this batch is done (hopefully I don't get there) with a private clinic and hope that's enough.

I've done the PH now, and will do it some more times, and I've got the microbiome test here, so I'll do that this cycle.

I've not been told pred will help, but I've been on pred before (and have some at home) because I have a number of issues where my immune system can overreact. I hate it, but i know I might have to try it.

@Annny27 we are good thanks, he’s 6 weeks on Monday- fastest 6 weeks ever! We’re currently struggling with colic and silent reflux which isn’t the most fun! oh wow 27 weeks already?? That’s crazy, I’m so pleased for you! How has your pregnancy been? Do you know what you are having?
