@Annny27 sorry I’ve only just seen this. I hope everything is ok for you when you get done answers. What does NT stand for?

Annny27 · 28/04/2022 19:50

@whatsthecraic91 My NIPT test has come back clear which is good :D first step and hurdle done 🥳

@XjustagirlX NT is nuchal translucency which means the amount of fluid at the back of babies neck. Basically a higher amount of fluid can indicate an abnormality but also can be normal

@Annny27 thats fantastic news, so pleased for you! How have you been keeping?

whatsthecraic91 · 29/04/2022 11:30

@Annny27 im so happy for you!! Amazing news 🤩 have you a due date? x

@Lozzlepop hope you're doing well x

Annny27 · 29/04/2022 11:49

Thanjs ladies 🥰 Due date is end of October 💗

When I first found out I didn't want to know the gender and now I cannot wait to find out haha! Are you getting big now @Lozzlepop @whatsthecraic91 ?

And were you on progesterone @Lozzlepop - I am untill 16 weeks, nervous to stop haha

OP posts:
whatsthecraic91 · 29/04/2022 13:34

@Annny27 amazing 🤩 oh definitely find out it makes shopping so fun 😂 will you book a gender scan for 16weeks?
honestly at the minute I am MISERABLE. 36+3 & crippled with pelvic pain I’m so ready for her to be born. Wouldn’t be so bad if I didn’t have a 15month old to care for 😂 don’t get me wrong I am so grateful but I will be stopping at 2 😂

Annny27 · 29/04/2022 13:40

@whatsthecraic91 I have an nhs scan at 15+3 so I don't know if they will be able to see or if they will tell me at that stage....Will ask and see what they say!

Awwh sounds rough especially the pelvic pain whilst having to lift a toddler! Are you having another c section?

OP posts:
Lozzlepop · 29/04/2022 20:33

@whatsthecraic91 yeag I am doing well thanks, just trying to get everything sorted now! Sorry to hear you are miserable but 36 weeks - not too long to go!

@Annny27 yeah - luckily I seem to have been fortunate and am just all bump! Starting to get a bit tired with the 6:30 rise and the hours commute each way 😴 yes I was on progesterone - tbh I was the same and nobody could tell me when to stop- they said I could stop after 12 weeks but I continued until week 16. Will never know if that’s what helped but I was glad I got it prescribed!

whatsthecraic91 · 29/04/2022 21:13

@Annny27 they might be able to tell then! I know the private ones are only from 16 weeks but what is 4 days really! yes having another csection on 17th at 39 weeks exactly. I’m so glad as I can’t imagine waiting to go spontaneously which could be up to 42 weeks 😂 x

@Lozzlepop how many weeks are you now? IIRC you’re about 4 weeks behind me? Do you finish for maternity leave soon? x

Lozzlepop · 29/04/2022 21:27

@whatsthecraic91 yeah I’m 32+3 finish up at work in about 4 weeks now- can’t wait! You’ll be on the countdown to the 17th- I hope I don’t go past 20 weeks 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Lozzlepop · 01/05/2022 08:28

Obviously meant 40 weeks in the last message 🤣🤣

Annny27 · 01/05/2022 09:15

@Lozzlepop How exciting not long left for you at work then 🥳 and yes only 12 more days of using cyclogest and I am quite looking forward to not having to use them anymore haha. Have you got all your pram and car seat sorted etc?

@whatsthecraic91 it's nice to have a set date as well as you can plan childcare for your little boy etc etc!

OP posts:
whatsthecraic91 · 03/05/2022 11:07

@Lozzlepop oh you’ll be so ready to stop working by then. I stopped at 29+1 this time 😂 I’m not planning on going back so seemed pointless to work on any longer.

@Annny27 yeah it’s great to have a date, it’s so close but at the same time seems ages to wait 😅 hope you’re feeling ok! I’m honestly so so happy for you 🥹 I think I joined this thread in December 2018!!! Here we are now in 2022 it’s mad isn’t it 😂xx

XjustagirlX · 11/05/2022 10:05

So my second egg transfer failed. I on my next cycle straight away. This time I have been on letrozoke for 5 days to boost my own oestrogen. I go for a scan tomorrow to check lining.

the consultant said it’s probably chromosomes but it seems really unlucky to have 2 bad embryos not implant.

Annny27 · 11/05/2022 11:58

Sorry to hear that @XjustagirlX hopefully with it being right after a last cycle it might help this cycle in some way!

Keeping everything crossed for you that your lining is at a optimum level

XjustagirlX · 30/05/2022 16:28

An update from me. Ive had a faint positive this morning so faint a camera won’t pick it up but there is a line there. I’m 10dp5dt. but I’ve also had brown spotting when I have been doing my progesterone.

so it’s either the remains of the trigger, a chemical pregnancy or a successful implantation.

i feel like I can rule out the trigger as it has been 16 days since I did my 5000 trigger.

i feel like it’s most likely a chemical!

my OTD is on thursday.

Annny27 · 03/06/2022 09:27

@XjustagirlX how are the tests looking now? 🤞🤞🤞🤞

@whatsthecraic91 how are you getting on?

OP posts:
XjustagirlX · 03/06/2022 09:58

@Annny27 it was negative on OTD. I actually think it was traces of the trigger still in my system. I really think it will never happen for us. It’s really getting me down. How can 3 high quality embryos be physically put inside me and not even implant!

Annny27 · 03/06/2022 10:07

I am so sorry @XjustagirlX this must be so hard 💗

Have the clinic advised next steps? Have they taken biopsy of womb to check for Endometritis (not endometriosis) but an inflamation/ infection of the womb that can cause repeated implantation failures

Hello everyone, it's been a very long time since I've posted here. Think I 1st posted here in 2019?! I'm very pleased to read about all the successes for everyone and so happy for you all but at the same time I feel sad for me and really empathis with you @XjustagirlX I've now had two unsuccessful fresh IVF cycles. And just started Menopur for my 3rd round. In between time we've discovered I have low ovarian reserve, thin uterine lining and a small fibroid. My fiancée has had a varicocele repair and a second comet test shows some improvement in sperm DNA quality. This time we're going to try ICSI. This is our last round funded by the NHS.

Annny27 · 04/06/2022 11:37

Sorry to hear you have had two unsuccessful rounds @MIW01 💙 it sounds promising that your husbands sample has come back better and sounds like they are really putting everything into this round for you. Best of luck xx

OP posts:
MIW01 · 04/06/2022 13:03

Thank you @Annny27 congratulations to you. This is our last NHS funded round so We're keeping everything crossed. Done 2 Menopur injections for this round so far. Scan on Monday.

XjustagirlX · 04/06/2022 18:44

@Annny27 i did have a hysteroscopy where they took a biopsy of the womb lining to check for things. I’m not actually sure what they checked for but it all came back normal.

ive got my consultant call on Monday. They will probably just say keep trying with our frozen ones. I tried letrizole last cycle but I’ll see if they want to stick with that this time.

@MIW01 good luck with your third round. It’s so upsetting. Did you get any frozen from your rounds or have they all been fresh? Have they suggested anything for the thin lining and the fibroid? Glad the sperm improved.

i did find an interesting statistic (which I now can’t find to post). It suggested that about 70% ish I think of women get pregnant after 6 embryo transfers. And then the % went up after 12 embryo transfers. And that is based on the average day 5 embryos of 2.5 per cycle.

MIW01 · 09/06/2022 16:43

@XjustagirlX no frozen from either round as 1st round only 3 fertilised and 2nd round only 1 egg collected. So this time we've got at least 16 follicles in the running and my ueterine lining is the best it's ever been at 7.8mm. So we are feeling hopeful.

XjustagirlX · 09/06/2022 17:29

@MIW01 wow 16 follicles is amazing. What have you done differently this time to get so many more follicles and your best lining? When are you due to go ahead?
