@Kiza thanks so much, woke up feeling super sick so staying positive- I do feel less anxious than I thought I would, DH is a bundle of nerves bless him, got sent home last week due to a Covid case in the office and he was so worried at why I’d come home.
I think she said 12 weeks for me, I have a repeat prescription I need to get so will probably get a bit extra 😂 it’s really annoying as everything is different quantities so need them all at separate times 🙈 4 weeks already, that’s flown in, I bet it’s the best rollercoaster though!

@XjustagirlX oh wow ok mine is not as extensive, probably for the best as there would deffo be something id forget to take. We didn’t really do anything different, started taking folic acid back in June along with the thyroid meds, wasn’t tracking my cycle just being fairly relaxed and enjoying the trying. We decided to do sober October anyway so I didn’t drink at all in the tww and went onto decaf coffee. I told my Dr straight away and had my thyroid medication increased and a blood test, I wasn’t happy when the results came back so they increased the dose again and have another blood test next Friday. Just trying to be super careful, getting exercise, getting a good sleep that sort of thing. Found out you can’t eat sesame seeds last night which was a new one to me! When do you start taking the IVF meds?

whatsthecraic91 · 04/11/2021 09:32

@Lozzlepop eek 7 weeks already that's amazing! Feeling sick is a great sign, just eat whatever you fancy to get through. You're 4 weeks behind me 😃 I have my 12 week scan next Friday. Please keep us updated with how it's all going xx

@Kiza 4 weeks already. It flies. Enjoy every second 😊

@XjustagirlX im sure you can't wait to get started on IVF. A Christmas BFP would be lovely 😍

@Annny27 get DTD!

XjustagirlX · 04/11/2021 09:37

@Lozzlepop Im around ovulation at the mo so I expect to start taking the meds 21st November and then egg transfer will be around the first week of December. So I’ve got 2 and a half week before it starts. I’m counting down the days now. The time since egg collection in august has flown by.

XjustagirlX · 08/11/2021 11:07

Ovulated yesterday so looks like my fet will be starting on 23 November. With a transfer between 8 and 11 December.

Annny27 · 18/11/2021 08:52

How is everyone doing?

Xx

Hello ladies, all a bit quiet over here!

@lozzlepop been thinking of you, how are things going?
@xjustagirlx have you started FET yet?
@thislittlebird are you still heading for Jan?
@whatsthecraic91 hope things are going well with you :)
@orangeloo how far along are you now?

Soooo period arrived BUT no spotting it just came so obviously the endometriosis removal helped which I am really chuffed about smile

BUT nhs saying 2 years now for ivf so i have asked them to appeal and will hear back in 8 weeks and then if they say no we are going private in February or whenever they get back to us as I am NOT waiting untill may 2023 fml

OP posts:
XjustagirlX · 29/11/2021 16:19

@Annny27 wow 2 years for ivf. Why is it so long?

I am on CD7 of my FET. So I am taking oestrogen tablets. I think this part is worse that the injections for collection. My mood is so low on these tablets and I keep crying and I have a constant headache. I’m going for my first lining scan on Friday. Hopefully my lining is thick enough. Assuming I have no lining issues transfer will be between 9th and 14th december.

Annny27 · 29/11/2021 16:51

@xjustagirlx it's 2 years since my last pregnancy which was a chemical in May. Annoying! I guess it's because they have so many applicants that they re like oh well you got pregnant once so let's see if it happend again 🙄

That sounds really tough with the low mood! Frozen transfer rates have higher success rates I have seen so hopefully thats the case for you! Keep us updated on your lining and I hope the low mood passes soon 💗

whatsthecraic91 · 29/11/2021 18:25

@Annny27 going well here thank you 14+6 😀 2 years?? That's bloody unfair considering you've been on this journey for more than that!! I hope your appeal goes in your favour, keep us updated xx

Kiza · 29/11/2021 20:49

@Annny27 just logged on- that's terrible they are calculating it from your last pregnancy. It should be from when you first started TTC!!!! I wonder if it will help trying to get your local MP on board as part of your appeal too? Or going through PALS?

Really hope you manage to win your appeal, it's terrible to have to fight for this as I recall having to fight every step of the way for our IVF and even part way through our IVF journey too x

Annny27 · 30/11/2021 09:08

Morning:)

@kiza so the consultant is writing the appeal to the ccg but I think I will also provide an appeal letter, I saw a template online which suggests informing your MP etc which I will look into this week. The ccg group only meet once a month to review appeals etc so I have some time. Even if its approved, my ccg funding is only 1 round which sucks! Its all very frustrating this journey.

How are you and baby doing? 💗

@whatsthecraic91 yep 2 years is ridiculous! Oh wow 15 weeks, how exciting:D

XjustagirlX · 30/11/2021 14:16

@Annny27 do they have any records of your chemical in May? Like hospital notes?

If it’s just your word I would seriously consider lying. I would be saying that there must be some confusion I thought it might be a chemical but I never had a positive test. I just had a period delayed by a few days so assumed it was a chemical. The hospital/nurse whoever must have wrote it down wrong.

Annny27 · 07/12/2021 10:00

@xjustagirlx annoyingly they do, well only my word for it- because I had to ask them if I needed my anti d shot because of my blood type.

I have an appointment with them today about funding with a nurse so will raise all my concerns and ask the timescales etc etc.

Are you preparing for transfer??

XjustagirlX · 07/12/2021 10:44

@Annny27 I’ve just got back from my lining scan. It’s just not growing. It hasn’t grown at all since last Friday. It is only 5.5mm. I’m on the highest dose of tablets. I’m waiting for a call today to see if they will add in patches.

I’m thinking it will get cancelled now as they shut over Christmas. Also my mind is going to the worst outcome…my thin lining is the reason I keep miscarrying and I will need a surrogate who will then run off with the baby because she is legally the mother.

thislittlebird · 07/12/2021 10:50

@XjustagirlX oh no, don’t think the worst, it’s your anxious brain kicking in. How long have they been monitoring your lining for? What cycle day is it/how long will they give it? Will they try it with 5.5mm? I know they want 7mm but if it’s not growing and you have embryos spare from what I recall.

XjustagirlX · 07/12/2021 12:15

@thislittlebird my lining was 5.5mm on CD11 then today on CD15 it is still 5.5mm. I’ve just had a call to say they won’t give me estrogen patches so they will do another scan on Friday and if it’s not at least 6.5mm then it will be cancelled. I’m so upset. I would then have to wait until my period starts end of January to start another FET. So a 2 month wait until I’m at the same point now.

thislittlebird · 07/12/2021 13:45

@XjustagirlX did they say why they won't give them to you? It sounds really frustrating. Fingers firmly crossed for Friday, but the potential Christmas delay is super frustrating. I'm confirmed to start treatment the last week of January but it should have been a month earlier.

My husband isn't allowed into the meds teach, which I thought was a bit odd. They said they might show it to him separately :/
I do understand the covid stuff but it all feels really harsh, it's such a stressful process from conception to birth and beyond and I would really like him there as much as possible. He has to come in on the day 2 scan because we need to redo some bloods because it's been over 3 months, but he's not allowed into anything with me.

XjustagirlX · 09/12/2021 10:09

@thislittlebird they said ravise I’m already on a really high dose then it’s just gone too late in the cycle snd they said too much estrogen is bad. No idea why.

It’s so upsetting that partners can’t attend. My husband was only allowed in when he had bloods taken and on the day of egg collection.

thislittlebird · 09/12/2021 19:25

@XjustagirlX so it’s officially in January now? That’s such a long wait, very frustrating.

Yeah they said mine is allowed in for egg collection but it really sucks. They should be allowed to come in for more than that, with a covid test or something.

XjustagirlX · 09/12/2021 19:41

@thislittlebird I will find out tomorrow if it is being cancelled or going ahead. If it is cancelled the actual transfer will be mid February so a 2 month wait from now. It’s because I would need to have a full cycle in between treatments.

Evening all,

Hope everyone is well, just wanted to check in and I really hope this doesn’t upset anyone. I just wanted you all to know that we had our 12 week scan today and everything looks perfect.

I truly hope you all get to see those longed for lines on that test soon. lt took us almost 3 years, 5 pregnancies, 4 lots of heartache, a year of testing, an unsuccessful IVF referral and pushing to get listened to by Drs to get my thyroid tested! Sending you all baby dust!

Lozzlepop · 09/12/2021 21:43

@Annny27 Thanks So Much ❤️ Aw thanks lovely- I have reported and reposted! It was out with the normal ranges for TTC but within normal ranges for normal life so it’s classed as sub clinical hyperthyroidism so I take Levothyroxine for it

whatsthecraic91 · 10/12/2021 09:14

@Lozzlepop oh I am so happy for you 🥺 this is amazing!! I see a little girl I think! I wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy. Please keep us updated xxx
