Awww @bubblybrit :( MCs are hard enough without the different feelings about if and when to TTC again. I'm glad you've worked through it. Here's hoping for a quick and easy journey! X

Marvellouslymadmum · 16/03/2021 19:19

@bubblybrit I remember from before about your oh having a wobble, I'm glad you got it all sorted and back on track

@minthumbugs ooh yay cycle buddy! A month if spotting must've been a nightmare 😕

@MammaJ21 which opk are you using? I had similar problems with the strips it would go up really high then down again then up again and this would happen 2-3 times a month, I'm using the clearblue digital advance ones now and got a peak no problem

bubblybrit · 16/03/2021 19:24

Thank you @Marvellouslymadmum. It was a bit of a stressful time so pleased that we are now on the same page and back on track. How’s everything with you? X

@minthumbugs. I’m a bit nervous about trying again but guess that’s to be expected and we are probably all in the same position x

I have two diff ones...homer (or something)?! and ovaview. I have alternated a bit but think the last week was with the ovaview ones.

I've read mixed reviews on the digital ones and also more costly. It's so hard to know what to use isn't it?!

I just wish it was simple.
wondering why I'm cramping when it seems too early

Marvellouslymadmum · 16/03/2021 19:52

@bubblybrit actually going really well here thank you, I found that my iron levels were so low that could've been effecting ttc and now they're almost normal with the supplements the doc has me on, had some tests and they all came back ok so my oh has been referred for an sa and I've been referred to fertility so all positive steps at least! My oh suffers so much with stress and anxiety so I really try and keep all the stressing parts to myself, it really helps having you ladies to chat to on here, he is not looking forward to his sa 😂

@MammaJ21 it's very difficult! I went for the cb in the end and it's worked well for me this will be my second month on them but I bought them on eBay all Sealed in the pack with a short shelf life left which was fine as I'll be using straight away and paid less than half price for them, I was just wasting money on the others as never got a definitive answer

elsimo · 17/03/2021 13:34

Have any of you guys had your COVID vaccine?

bubblybrit · 17/03/2021 16:11

@Marvellouslymadmum. I had really low iron levels whilst I was pregnant. The hospital did say that it could have been a contributing factor to the MC but wouldn’t be able to say with any certainty. So I’m also on supplements to help manage my levels in preparation for TTC. I hope everything goes ok with his sa and you see progression with your fertility treatment. TTC is so blooming stressful I sometimes wonder why we do it!

Acebobase · 17/03/2021 16:37

Hi all...been following in the background

Pcos, on clomid from fertility clinic, Ttc #2 after conceiving naturally. Had a mc at 12 weeks in December on first cycle of clomid and just suffered another mc at 6 weeks on the second cycle. So it seems the drugs work to help me ovulate and get pregnant but either bad luck or something else going on to not stay pregnant.

Me and my DH want to just try again straight away so I'll be back on the ovulation sticks (ic's) in the next week. Everyone's tips have been much appreciated.

Trying to keep myself busy to not think about the shiftiness of these losses the past couple of months...

minthumbugs · 17/03/2021 16:42

Aww @Acebobase sorry for your losses. I know what you mean about trying to keep busy! TTC has given me something to focus on so that I don't think about it too much.

Have no experience with PCOS or clomid but hopefully your clinic are able to find out what works for you now! X

Acebobase · 17/03/2021 16:48

Thanks @minthumbugs

Yes fingers crossed for a next time...

bez91 · 17/03/2021 17:21

Sorry you find yourself here @Acebobase and sorry for your losses. I'm quite similar TTC #2 with 2 losses at almost exact similar stages to you although conceived naturally but will be heading for a fertility referral shortly I think.

All the ladies on here are great, there is a few of us who have unfortunately been around a while but all very helpful, I dip in and out as sometimes I just need some time away from MN to forget about TTC 🙈

@NatJ24 @ELMcg you ladies symptom spotting yet? 😉

OP posts:
Marvellouslymadmum · 17/03/2021 18:04

@elsimo I've had my first one yes

@bubblybrit it's so stressful sometimes! I've always had low iron levels and had to take supplements when I was pregnant previously as it was very low, then the doc checked it this time and put me on a whopping 630mg a day! It's nearly back up to normal now but that could have been the problem, I'm hoping so much that's all it was as it can cause all sorts of issues and I never new! But getting the rest of the tests is good as I keep being reminded that time is running out 🤦🏼‍♀️

Hi @Acebobase sorry to hear of your losses, it's really good that they're trying to help though, how are you finding the clomid? I'm having investigations now and clomid is a possibility as I may have pcos too also had two mc and two cp so I'm looking forward to anything that may help!

ELMcg · 17/03/2021 18:18

@bez91 managed not to so far 😂

I felt so strange last month and AF arrived so learned not to read in to weird twinges and symptoms as I think MC really messes with hormones! Going to try and wait until I'm really late but we will see how we go!

elsimo · 17/03/2021 18:54

@Marvellouslymadmum
I have been delaying mine since the start of the year hoping I would get pregnant but I've got my first one on Friday.
I'll be 7dpo by then, my head is saying take the vaccine and don't be daft then I have that niggle of what if i'm pregnant and it causes a prob 😫

minthumbugs · 17/03/2021 19:02

@elsimo I haven't been offered mine yet. I'm hoping I'll be pregnant before then so I don't have to make the choice but the pace is really picking up!

Marvellouslymadmum · 17/03/2021 19:27

@elsimo there's far more evidence that Covid would cause issues than the vaccine and people have had the vaccine when pregnant and been fine

bubblybrit · 17/03/2021 19:32

Oh wow @Marvellouslymadmum. I’m only on half that dose! Hope that managing your iron levels helps. I was also getting injections for a while but GP is happy with the supplements for now. I’m 37 shortly so really want to get a move on but probably applying more pressure than I should! Doesn’t help that I am a bit impatient by nature x

Marvellouslymadmum · 17/03/2021 19:45

@bubblybrit I thought it was quite excessive! She's cut it down to 420mg now I'm just hoping that's what the main cause of issues were for us 🤞🏻 probably wishful thinking though lol I'll be 42 next week

Acebobase · 17/03/2021 20:45

@Marvellouslymadmum - it's reassuring that if there is a next time I'll be flagged now for epu
Finding the clomid fine, don't really notice any side effects and it's made me ovulate so very happy indeed
I'm doing it privately so luckily have had tracking scans to see that it worked and didn't over stimulate
I'm so impatient though, I just want it be time again to dtd

Marvellouslymadmum · 17/03/2021 21:10

@Acebobase that's good to hear, I've seen some others than have had quite a few side effects. I have a private scan clinic just up the road from me luckily so if I don't get my nhs referral through soon I'll get a fertility scan there to check everything also handy for if I one day get another bfp!

MammaJ21 · 18/03/2021 06:38

Sorry if this has been discussed, I have had a quick scan through the previous posts but didn't spot it

How long after MC did you all get your Af? and has it returned to a 'normal' cycle yet?

After first day of MC bleed, af came 27 days later for me. it's now been about 20 days and I think it's coming again. Been cramping for a few days. just seems too early for af.
Always had cycles around 28 days, sometimea a little more. I'm guessing it's just following a MC things won't be back to 'normal'

bez91 · 18/03/2021 06:54

Hi @MammaJ21 it's probably on the other threads but you don't want to trawl that far back 😆 for me in a strange way the last MC seems to have regulated my periods, I had surgical management for MMC start of December and AF arrived 31 days later and they've been 30/31 days since. It really does vary, I'm probably more in the minority though that they returned to 'A normal' quite quickly as before the MC my cycles were anywhere between 21-43 days!

I know a lot of ladies it takes some time for your body to get back to your pre normal so I wouldn't worry too much about it, hopefully within a few months they should have got a bit more predictable.

Lollipop25 · 18/03/2021 09:20

Hi @MammaJ21 I’m usually a 28 day cycle , Mc’d 5 weeks ago and still no sign of AF so at CD35 now, think it just takes time for everything to go back regular.

gizmo167 · 18/03/2021 09:30

Morning ladies x

@Acebobase I was diagnosed with pcos before I conceived with my DD. Took me 3 years to get a BFP with her, I wasnt put on any medication as all my tests showed I was ovulating so Drs were baffled as to why I couldnt get pregnant. I had ovarian drilling done in the July and got pregnant in October. Since having her though my cycles have really regulated and I havent had that effect, until my mc's that is!

After my first mc my first AF was CD34. I'm at CD33 now and still no signs of AF! I have a bit of cramping last couple of days and the area below my nipples feels sore to touch but thats about it, no idea what is going on!

Acebobase · 18/03/2021 09:52

@gizmo167 it seems like pcos can be different for everyone. I'm very long cycles (like 9 months, 2 years kind of thing). I was on qlaira contraceptive which really helped all the symptoms and when I came off it I had a 50 day cycle and caught straightaway with my dd. Now it's secondary issues with the mcs, as I've caught twice on two cycles of clomid. I'm just hoping I catch again and it sticks.
I am slightly worried that maybe my hormones are off to stay pregnant. I've read about needing progesterone with pcos to get past the 12 week mark so it's definitely something I'll push with the gp if I'm lucky enough to get pregnant again.
