As the Post Pill Party Mosh Pit dies down... sweaty and bewildered, the ladies head to the bar to freshen up. Suddenly, a fiddler bursts onto the stage, beginning a merry tune. Everybody swings into an energetic Ceilidh!

Our heads are spinning, our bodies are knackered but we arent giving up dancing when the music is this catchy!

This is the 8th post pill party thread for women whose bodies don't know the correct dance steps after hormonal contraception. Raise a dram to combating delayed ovulation, flabberghasting follicular phases, loopy luteal phases, bizzare temp charts and OPKs whiter than a Scotsman's bum!

CD14 for me today and I’m bleeding. It’s there when I wipe and it’s not much but it’s on the towel I put on this morning. It’s not like the spotting I described yesterday. This happened to me the cycle before last which was CD16 :/ I’m seriously annoyed now!

The out of hours GP was not the most understanding. I told him of my private test and elevated tsh since my nhs test and antibodies being high and all he kept saying is antibodies can be raised but might not be hypo. I said well I need another test to rule this out as I am TTC and not ovulating. He said he can send me for a test for a full thyroid panel but the lab may not process it because it’s under 3 months since my last blood test for thyroid. On March 12th it will be 3 months. Like what the actual f*. I’m suffering with half of the hypo symptoms and I’m having irregular periods and not ovulating.

I’m going to go and have blood drawn on Tuesday and see if they get processed. I’m speaking to an endo on 24th Feb so if they don’t process them I would imagine they will need bloods to decide the next course of action.

Cooking a lamb roast today. So glad we had the v day bonk yesterday 😂

@Kay00 @Cams50 thanks both, arguement has been squashed so vday bonk is back on the cards luckily my OPKS are still pretty low so hopefully still got time

@Moocher90 sorry your out of hours GP was abit rubbish! I think there is so much red tape in the NHS. I found a local clinic to me that did a full thyrpid panel for £50 but I think it was a further £70 to have a appointment with the consultant about the results.

@ChinChilly is this a private clinic?! Have you have your results?!

@Moocher90 Yeah, it’s a local one near me. I haven’t booked in, I was going to try my NHS GP first and the GP i spoke to the was pretty good but I’m not getting my bloods done until 24/02. If this doesn’t go well and they’re still saying its ‘normal’ I might book in with the private clinic.

Happy V Day ladies ❤️ 14dpo for me and had the tiniest bit of spotting yesterday lunchtime but nothing since. I was feeling fed up so I thought I'd have a drink last night, ended up having a bottle of wine and had my head down the toilet at 10pm 😂 probably because I did dry Jan and hadn't had a drink in 43 days!
No sign of AF yet although feeling a little crampy on and off today so I'm sure she'll be here soon. I also didn't temp today due to drinking last night but willl see what it's saying tomorrow. Hope you are all doing ok x

How's everyone's Valentine's Day going? We don't really do much, but I did get a rather inappropriate card from DH with a hilarious quote from The Inbetweeners on it!

@ChinChilly Glad you've made up and the v-day bonk is still a go! Did you temp this morning? Did it go up or down? Mine went down again, but I was up in the night and had been up only an hour and a half before taking my temp.

@Kay00 Lovely looking pancakes! How long are you trying the Fodmap diet for?

@Moocher90 Sorry the GP wasn't very understanding. And that you're spotting still Our bodies are so complicated and confusing. Hopefully it's ovulation spotting and stops soon. Enjoy that delicious sounding roast lamb later!

@Robyn101 Hope that FF is right! 41 days is a huge improvement from 137! Hope you're having a nice birthday weekend!

@Juno231 Are you just spotting a little bit then? This is good news for next cycle if so! What's your bbt doing now?

@Sperr a 14 day LP is the dream!! Not sure vit b complex is even needed in your case! I started taking it this month and was debating a break like @kay00 tried...I'm on CD9 today and still not sure what to do! My LP is anything from 6 to 11 days (just the once though for the 11!) Last month I started spotting 2dpo but then did actually have a positive test so I'm just discarding that one as a weird anomaly!

@FlyingGiraffe temp went down! But I had a terrible night sleep, kept having wierd dreams including one of me chasing someone who stole my car 😂😂 was curtain twitching at 3am to see if it was still there 😂😂

Happy Valentine's Day ladies ❤️ DH got me a cute card even though we said we weren't going to. Got some steaks for later and will watch a film tonight. Temp rise today as well so looks like I've ovulated cd30! No V-day bonking for us today, too exhausted from the lead up to O 😂

@Moocher90 sorry about the bleeding and how frustrating about the GP! Hopefully they will process your bloods and they can do something about it if there is a thyroid issue.

@MissC07 hope you are not feeling too hungover today! No chance would I be able to drink a whole bottle of wine these days!

@Flowers222 I don’t think I’ve ovulated yet to be honest, OPKs have been super faint. I kind of hope I haven’t as haven’t really DTD that much up to ovulation 🤔 it sounds like you’ve definitely covered yourself

@ChinChilly 😂 I do that even without the weird dreams! 😂 hope you sleep better tonight. I blame the Chinese takeaway last night for being up in the night. I was so thirsty after it I drank loads of water!

@FlyingGiraffe I’m always really thirsty after any kind takeaway must be all the salt in them.

I’m super tempted to go with the FF premium, do the ladies that have it thinks it’s worth it? I had the free trial without even realising and now its just gone back to the basic version there’s not much on there

@FlyingGiraffe yeah I was spotting yesterday and Friday but nothing today 🤷‍♀️. On the one hand I did think my temps were a day off and I actually ovulated on CD16 instead of CD15 so perhaps AF will arrive tonight - but then I don't tend to spot in the LP so what's going on with that now 😅.

Apologies I can't remember who asked me if I was going to test again just in case - I've done ICs yesterday and today and they're blank 🙊. Temp and rhr went up today but that's because of me drinking wine last night!

@Ttcin2021 the cover line delineates the temp shift really - so you need temps higher than the coverline for the LP in order to show ovulation occurred. If your temp drops towards or past the line in your second week of the TWW it usually means AF is on her way

@kay00 @FlyingGiraffe I just got the seven seas tablets as they were on sale so I’m just going to take them instead (and maybe just be patient and not feel like I need to do more all the time!

Is it weird that I’m waiting for my cycle to start again just so I can drink grapefruit juice 😂

@Juno231 How bloody confusing! I think maybe you're right about ovulating CD16 though if you still had a peak opk. I guess time will tell and if AF is going to turn up in full force, it's not going to be long now! Hope it doesn't though. I just hope you've a dodgy box of IC's! Haha! How did the wine go down after the big break?

@Sperr I started on the Seven Seas after I ovulated last month. They're nice and small - especially compared to the B-complex! I think as long as you're dtd enough and at the right time you're in with a great shot so I wouldn't worry about adding in more things! The grapefruit thing made me laugh though!

@FlyingGiraffe I’m not actually a big fruit eater (I eat loads of veggies) so all this grapefruit, pomegranate and pineapple is actually really nice 😂.

@Sperr I’m not a big fruit eater, i eat berries occasionally but I have been trying to make a smoothie everyday ish! I know they’re not great for you but it’s better than nout!

@MissC07 glad you’re not hungover, I generally don’t drink because it get quite bad acid and it even though I’m tired I’ll just toss and turn all night.

@chinchilly could be older creaky stuff mixed with EWCM... hopefully you're coming into your FP then 🥳

Hi lovely @FlyingGiraffe been a bit MIA on here. Work is kicking off lately. I'm 9dpo today (meant 5dpo in an earlier post when I said I was CD5 🙈). Massive temp drop today after climbing temps so not looking so hopeful. I'm not bothering testing until due date - no point. Zero symptoms too! How are you getting on.

AF has arrived for me this morning. Feeling a bit gutted even though I know I wasn't in with much of a shot this month as we didn't DTD much in FW. I'm just hoping my cycles shorten from 45 days. Good luck to anybody testing this week x

@MissC07 I'm sorry AF showed :( I'm still waiting for mine to make an appearance and it's cheesing me off how it's thrown curve balls at me. I'm on CD30/15DPO atm. If it doesn't show today then that's the longest LP I've had since I started charting! Pretty sure this is the first cycle where I had spotting pre AF as well.

@MissC07 sorry AF showed! I was totally feeling gutted last cycle. Hopefully you feel better soon!

@Juno231 are you going to test again? I’m thinking to order some ICs today just for fun 😂. I realised I wasn’t paying attention when reading my chart and I’m actually 13dpo today so hopefully AF can hold of another day at least. Was so crampy yesterday so not holding out much hope though

So sorry @MissC07 hopefully a shorter cycle for you this time round. How many cycles in are you now?
