As the Post Pill Party Mosh Pit dies down... sweaty and bewildered, the ladies head to the bar to freshen up. Suddenly, a fiddler bursts onto the stage, beginning a merry tune. Everybody swings into an energetic Ceilidh!

Our heads are spinning, our bodies are knackered but we arent giving up dancing when the music is this catchy!

This is the 8th post pill party thread for women whose bodies don't know the correct dance steps after hormonal contraception. Raise a dram to combating delayed ovulation, flabberghasting follicular phases, loopy luteal phases, bizzare temp charts and OPKs whiter than a Scotsman's bum!

Thanks @Kay00. I think I'm actually going to take a few weeks off of mumsnet. I love the support in the community but i think I'm using it to obsess too much - keep reading threads on the conception/miscarriage /pregnancy boards too much each day.

Hopefully I come back in a few weeks to some new BFPs and good strong cycles! Dont worry, I will be back. Best luck to all xo

I've got initial video with GP tomorrow morning 0840 to hopefully get the ball rolling with additional support - need to make sure I look awake 😆 got some notes written out as my brain goes to mush when under pressure xx

@TheHotelCalifornia nice to hear from you ❤️ I'm doing my MN scroll and update as DH is snoring like a walrus 😆 the spare pillow is looking very inviting just now 🙄❤️

@thedaydreambelievers I think that's a really good idea. We'll all be here for you when you want to rejoin. In the meantime spend some time relaxing and focusing on you rather than the mn chat boards xx

@mrsmacmc good luck this morning with your doctors call (video... wow! My doctors is just a phone call). Its a good idea to make notes. I recently wrote down all my symptoms (from 4 years of unusual illnesses related to inflammation) and it took up 2 x sides of A4 😆 might need to email it to my doctor in advance 😅

I feel like this test should be darker for 12dpo, or I might be over thinking it 🤔 i added an extra day of EWCM on FF and it changed ovulation to CD20 which would make sense. I feel really nauseous today but I’m guessing that just nerves 😬

@ChinChilly that looks like a fab line as is but don't forget you tested stronger in the afternoon yesterday so your HCG levels might just be stronger in the afternoons! @Juno231 was right about a later Ovulation and CD20 looks good!! I felt really nauseous for the first few days after BFP and then it went away until just before 6 weeks! ❤️

@TheHotelCalifornia yay for ovulation!! Hope AF arrives without any drama and you can get onto your fresh cycle!

On the subject of cervixes (cervices?!) I feel like mine still feels open... I can't really find out much online but from one post here on MN I suspect that perhaps the pregnancy/MVA means that it'll never feel fully closed again. Hopefully that's normal and won't affect my future pregnancies 🤔

Temp jumped up to 36.8 this morning (from 36.6) and RHR up to 76 (from 74) 😁

@ChinChilly huge congrats 🥳 if you’re worried about TSH, ask your GP to test again. I did around the time I had my booking appointment (7/8ish weeks) and they were happy to do it as my previous result was close to the upper limit for the first trimester (mine was 3.4 and upper limit is 3.7). Came back as 2.18 so was all fine, but worth checking just in case xx

That was different! They need to get them headsets though as felt really bad for GP as she was leaning into the screen to hear me! GP was lovely and listened to me which was odd as usually find the GP's in my surgery dismissive. She was impressed with all the info I could give her. I've to go next Tues for a 'rummage around' and take it from there. She did say probs refer me for an ultrasound. Not the horrendous situation I had it to be in my head. The ball rolling is started and thank you to all on this thread as I don't think I would've been as prepared for the appt if it wasn't for the info and support on here ❤️ CD10 here not much happening.

@TheDaydreamBelievers totally understand, have some time away for self-care and come back when you're ready! I do the same each month, go very quiet and try to take 10 days off MN after AF arrives or I end up obsessing and spend hours reading threads which just get me anxious

@ChinChilly I agree @LauraT94 that you might just be testing stronger in the afternoons - your lines look great to me! Stop overthinking it So so happy for you!

@laurat94 interesting to hear about open cervix after an MVA - I had no idea. Your BBT and RHR sounds super promising though!

@Juno231 I guess it kind of makes sense as my cervix had to be forceably dilated (🤢) to end the Pregnancy? I then found the below info on verywellfamily.com 🤷🏼‍♀️ I can definitely feel slight changes in height and firmness so hopefully that's good news haha! Will just keep an eye on it I suppose.

@LauraT94 That's really interesting about the cervix... hmmm!

@ChinChilly agree with the others: step away from the FRERs! Maybe test again on Sat or Sunday, but just relax for now... although easier said than done i'm sure!

I have a question for you ladies ref my chart. So. Peak on CD39. Cervix was still soft and open on CD40 evening. I have technically had a small temp rise that is higher than the previous 6 days on CD41 and 42 (and if I put into FF a temp of 36.2 tomorrow then FF gives me solid cross hairs with ovulation of CD40) but these temps are too low to confirm ovulation right?? Usually my post Ov temps start at about 36.3!

My body is so rubbish lol

@kay00 I'm afraid it's a wait and see situation! Those temps are low but then again I think @Moocher90 has low LP temps but still gets a temp shift?

@Juno231 yes, that's true. My temps are usually pretty low (compared to a lot of you other warm blooded ladies), but my last thyroid test came back at 1.96. I suppose i'll wait and see. But I won't be getting my hopes up!

@MintGreenLife I think I will ask them to check I’ve got a repeat blood test booked in for the 23rd anyway so I’m sure they can do it then. How are you getting on?

@ChinChilly sounds like a good plan, as if it's too high they should be able to treat as important to keep TSH down in pregnancy :)

Yeah good, thanks for asking. I'm 18+4 now, found out last week we are having a boy! I'm having some extra scans at the mo to check my cervix length after having a LLETZ 5 years ago, and they always have a quick look at baby at the same time, so that's nice. Means I get to see him every 2 weeks at the moment, and all looking fine with my cervix so far. I've also reintroduced gluten and dairy over the last month or so after cutting them out to help with my TSH and so far so good! x

@MintGreenLife wow almost 19weeks already and a boy 💙 how exciting! Lovely you get to see him every 2 weeks! Hope the gluten introduction goes well xx

@Kay00 it does look like it could be happening! Feel like we need to coin a new acronym for TTC - WAS (wait and see!)

Couldn't find pomegranate juice in any of my local shops but found beetroot juice... It's meant to be a really good option too but my god it tastes gross 🤢 I'm a beetroot fan and I can't even stomach it! Have added lemonade to try and make it more palatable haha!
