As the Post Pill Party Mosh Pit dies down... sweaty and bewildered, the ladies head to the bar to freshen up. Suddenly, a fiddler bursts onto the stage, beginning a merry tune. Everybody swings into an energetic Ceilidh!

Our heads are spinning, our bodies are knackered but we arent giving up dancing when the music is this catchy!

This is the 8th post pill party thread for women whose bodies don't know the correct dance steps after hormonal contraception. Raise a dram to combating delayed ovulation, flabberghasting follicular phases, loopy luteal phases, bizzare temp charts and OPKs whiter than a Scotsman's bum!

@Cams50 @MancMama39 @Tillybabs I’m so tempted to POAS when i get home 😂 I haven’t had chance to have a pee since 12:00 and some people apparently get higher HCG in the afternoon? Could be a waste of a test but most of them were free 🤔

So naturally I POAS when I got home, bottom is from this afternoon

Little recap,
I came off the pill in June 2020 I don’t think I ovulated for the first few cycles, so I started tracking in September, everything seem pretty regualar so I’ve just been asked plodding along tracking.

I haven’t really done anything different this cycle apart from drinking alcohol 😂😂 I’m not really a drinker but I’ve been knocking back the midweek voddys 😂 I haven’t had any symptoms really apart from some really odd dreams for the last week or so. I had a sneaky suspicion because I didn’t get any of my usual pre AF symptoms, no sore boobs, spotting and minimal cramping.

OH knows, I’ve told him its still super early so not to tell anybody just yet! He was really shocked but had a big huge grin on his face.

I’m feeling nervous because I know my TSH is still too high and that potentially puts me at high risk of an early lose so I’m just going to take each day as it goes at the moment.

I've been keeping up with all you ladies and keep meaning to come on and write an update. DH is waiting to watch tv though so I'll just do a mini one! Basically I'm on Day 52 of this cycle after my surgery on the 12th January...insane to actually type that out but hey, here we are. It's been extremely difficult waiting for something to happen for soooo long as we were told to wait for a period before trying again so I've just had to wait and wait and wait. I started temping and doing OPKs and was overjoyed to confirm ovulation 10 days ago. Soooo my period should come soon and then I can actually join you all in TTC again.

I'm trying to stay positive that I have actually ovulated and I have a very clear temp shift to confirm it. I'm also pleased that taking agnus castus and a B complex with added D this cycle seems to have lengthened my luteal phase as I'm currently on day 10 and this is the longest it's been. First cycle off the pill was 108 days, second was 38 and I ovulated on day 31, and the next one I got my BFP. From CD1 I'm going to take agnus castus, B6, B complex with added D, and folic acid every day and just keep my fingers crossed that this has just been a horribly messed up cycle and next time ovulation will be earlier than day...41.

I'm honestly so proud of myself for actually getting through this and I hope my period comes soon so I can start a new chapter.

Anyway! I hope everyone's doing okay, I find it so comforting reading all your updates and keeping up with everyone's journey so thank you all for continuing to post xxx

@TheHotelCalifornia that's a fab temp shift! As of today I've agreed with the specialist midwife that I'm going to stop TTC for 3 weeks so we can run the blood tests for APS. That is gonna super suck if I ovulate in that time, but better in the long run to have those tests and know for sure.

@thedaydreambelievers that sounds super positive. It will be better to know you can continue TTC in safety by ruling anything out now, or if you do have APS then it will be good to know sooner rather than later xx

I'm CD41 here... if my temp doesn't rise tomorrow then I expect I had a failed Ov attempt and AF will show soon. My cervix is hard and closed again now. Everything is riding on tomorrow's temperature... let's hope I don't sleep through my alarm 😅
