As the Post Pill Party Mosh Pit dies down... sweaty and bewildered, the ladies head to the bar to freshen up. Suddenly, a fiddler bursts onto the stage, beginning a merry tune. Everybody swings into an energetic Ceilidh!

Our heads are spinning, our bodies are knackered but we arent giving up dancing when the music is this catchy!

This is the 8th post pill party thread for women whose bodies don't know the correct dance steps after hormonal contraception. Raise a dram to combating delayed ovulation, flabberghasting follicular phases, loopy luteal phases, bizzare temp charts and OPKs whiter than a Scotsman's bum!

Temp went from 36.00 to 36.14! I hope it’s ovulation and not a fluctuation! Will have to wait and see if I get cross hairs in the next few days.

@Juno231 I think I’ll see what my temp does tomorrow! I haven’t had any spotting yet which I normally get a couple of days before AF. I do love the 1st of the month especially on a Monday! Perfect day to restart my diet 🤣

We only had the ceiling replastered about a year ago after it leaked through before and left a big brown stain, tried to take the bath panel off last night to see what was going on underneath but the previous occupants have very kindly super glued the fecking thing on 🙄

@mrsmacmc I love Line of Duty!!! Although I think I might need to watch the last series again so I don't spend the whole of the first episode of the new series trying to remember what's happened 😂

@Cams50 🤣 I've been pretty chilled about it this month too. Although I'm now all guns blazing on temps and opks!

@ChinChilly I hope AF stays away! That sounds a nightmare about your kitchen. Houses are such money pits!

@ChinChilly haha yes I'll be restarting the diet today as well... super glue?! bastards. No spotting sounds super positive though! Got my fingers crossed for you for a Nov baba.

@Moocher90 hm although 36.14 is very low for an LP temp - are they normally that low for you?

Ha did I mention I've had three birth announcements in the last week? I'm drowning in baby pics - all by people who caught first cycle at that!

Gah... baby announcements! I'm sure one day that will be us too...

@ChinChilly oh no! Complete nightmare! Hopefully the re-sealing job you did has resolved the issue!

@TheDaydreamBelievers We are completely in the same boat its so frustrating isn't it? Its the hope that gets me... It's clear my body is trying, I get excited and think, i'm sure it's happening now, but then it fizzles out. It is now exactly 90 days since I last ovulated!

I have been feeding my elderly neighbour's cat 'Kelly' (my neighbour fell and broke her wrist, so is staying with her daughter), this morning Kelly brought me a little gift to say thanks! haha!

@Juno231 I think my thyroid affects my temps as they are generally low. The highest it’s been in this follicular phase is 36.28 and lowest 35.84. It generally is around 36.1ish but had dropped yest to 36. I think I’m going to have a slow rise on my BBT. My cervix is so high I can’t get to it but I feel drier today so think my body tried to ovulate and will have to just wait and see. If not I’m still doing OPKs however there’s even less of a line on there now but just in case it peaks again. Or as usual I won’t ovulate after peak!

@MissC07 I think i'll have to do the same with Line of Duty...I have a shocking memory and I can already see DH getting annoyed at me for asking loads of questions! Haha!

@Kay00 yes completely disheartening. Like, I know I can conceive, but I don't seem to get any chances to do so!

My action points are 1) go back to the GP either at the end of this cycle or if I persist without a period 2) go get tested for APS when period arrives 3) lose weight, in case this will help regulate. My DH and I both decided to do this over the weekend - me for fertility, him because his suit trousers are too tight :D (both overweight but not obese)

@MissC07 houses really are money pits, this one especially just as we think we are on top of it something happens 🤣

@Juno231 Yup! Superglue! Who does that 😂 my dad is super handy around the house so he said the panel is going to have be broken off to see whats going on 🙁 his line was ‘panels are cheap, leaks aren’t’ 😂😂 ahh a Nov baba would be nice!

@Kay00 I’m hoping the sealer has done the job but I’ve got a horrible feeling it’s something else! The bathroom needs ripping out but we just haven’t got the cash to do it at the mo, when that day comes I will get great pleasure in smashing each and every one of those hideous tiles 😂😂 Ooo was your gift from the kitty something dead? 😂

@FlyingGiraffe I’m not 100% sure tbh I’m 11dpo last cycle AF arrived at 12dpo so I’m guessing tomorrow or Wednesday, maybe? This house is wanker tbh I expect nothing less from it 😂

@TheDaydreamBelievers I’m with you on the weightloss, I need to lose about 1 -1 1/2 stone!

@ChinChilly 1,5 stone here too - maybe even 2 if lucky! My friends wedding got moved from May to end of July and I just dooooon't want to feel uncomfortable/unattractive and hate all the pics from that day. I've got 20 weeks until then so in theory should be able to lose 1lb/week?? I'm back on myfitnesspal today to help make it happen and I've joined some fitbit challenges with a few ladies from MN for motivation to get moving...

@Juno231 I’ve got that uncomfortable/unattractive thing atm! I’ve got a hair appointment on 13/4 lockdown depending but I want to try shift a half a stone - stone by then, hair is getting a big makeover so i want to actually feel good when I come out of there. May try joining some challenges once my fecking ankle decides to stop hurting! I’m still managing between 10k-15k steps a day, maybe that’s why it’s not healing 😂

I'm CD5 today and have had the tiniest amount of light brown spotting. Honestly, its such a small amount that as my mum would say, "a blind man would be glad to see it" ...although probably not in this case 😂😂 it's still got me worried though that I've either a super short LP coming my way or that its something like last month. But I don't want to get my hopes up...and because it ended in a CP it makes me worry of a repeat situation. I just wish I had a normal LP where I didnt have to check the toilet tissue from cd3! Chart for reference below along with last months with the CP.

@Juno231 @ChinChilly I've done so much walking this weekend and I feel so much better for it! I struggle so much during the week when I'm in work though. I sometimes only manage 2500 steps! I really could do with toning up though so I think I'm going to set a weekly step challenge. I can't think what's realistic though when I'm in work 5 days a week! I know I wouldn't be able to get to 10k like @LauraT94 as I'd have to go out before work and that just isn't going to happen! Haha!

@Kay00 oh Kelly is super cute....the gift however not so much 😂 atleast you know she’s appreciating your feeding efforts

@FlyingGiraffe I only get that many steps because my dog is pain in the arse if he hasn’t been out for atleast 40 mins twice a day!

@ChinChilly @Juno231 I could do with losing up to 40lbs. I'm currently 187lbs/13st 5"/85kg/ BMI 28.3. Best weight would be about 130-150! Will aim for 170lbs as a start I guess.

@TheDaydreamBelievers I think its much easier to set a few smaller targets that one big one! I think my BMI is about 26.5 atm

@TheDaydreamBelievers small goals are definitely more attainable! My next one is just to get to 72 kg (I'm 75 atm) so that I get just under the 25 BMI threshold. Then 70, 68, 65 and 63 are all mentally big milestones for me.

@FlyingGiraffe haha I did wonder why spotting at CD5 was worrying! Fingers crossed it's implantation related rather than AF related!

I did 17k steps on Sat and 11k steps yesterday. Goal for this week will be to average 10k steps/day even if it means catching up on the weekend!

@Kay00 Kelly is gorgeous, such a cute little face! Poor mouse though lol

Does anyone else get ovulation cramps? I do and can always tell when I’m having my ovulation. Some months more than others

@Juno231 Thanks...I guess it's another case of the wait and see game! Haha! That's a good idea with the average of 10k. I did do 23k steps on Saturday and then 11k yesterday. I'm on a day off today so am off out in a mo for another walk along the coast so I should be well on my way to 10k average over this week. When it's raining and im back in work it's definitely not this easy!

@Tillybabs I think I used to notice them more but I haven't really felt any the last couple of cycles. It's something I quite enjoy though - like my body knows what to do still after 20 odd years suppressing it on the pill!
