Hi everyone just a continuation of @Littlebee1990 thread. It has helped me so much by giving me a platform to express myself and I hope it helps others as well. @Littlebee1990 I hope you are well and don't mind me continuing on.x

@PrettyLights so sorry for your loss ❤️ Keep trying and think positive thoughts x

PrettyLights · 10/11/2021 18:02

Thank you @mishmased and @Theworkingmama - yes my husband has been even better than expected and super supportive, though family not been too great as it's impossible to know what you're going through until it happens to you. Lots of them saying the wrong thing, but all well meaning... Fingers crossed for conceiving again quickly

LS2020 · 03/12/2021 20:42

Hi everyone, sorry to hear we’ve had some more losses, sending you a lot of healing and love and knowledge that one day your rainbow will come ❤️
Mine is currently 17 weeks and starting to bump out now, hoping I start to feel some kicks soon! Hope you’re all keeping well x

mishmased · 03/12/2021 20:57

@LS2020 I'm delighted to hear all is going well❤️ fantastic news 👏👏👏
Hope everyone is keeping well and looking forward to Christmas. Covid seems to have ramped up here and kids in third class (year 4) and above are now required to wear a mask in school😭 If it helps slow the spread of Covid then fine I guess.

@mishmased I’m generally not one for being too worried about covid as I’m young and healthy and fully vaccinated (no booster as not eligible) but I’ve started to worry about Xmas - i would have pulled out of family one but we’re with in laws who my DP didn’t see last year so feel like I can’t pull out of as easily. Xmas day we’re just with his parents and nana which is fine and happy with but Boxing Day is his full extended family - two back from Uni, one from London who will have spent day before with Gf’s entire extended family and a midwife who will literally have come from a shift at hospital to attend. I’ll be 20 weeks and I reckon about 2 weeks away from getting my booster so feels like rotten timing to get poorly with covid or something happening to little one.

jokerflowers · 06/12/2021 07:19

@PrettyLights welcome! I'm sorry for your loss, it's hard when no one knows what you're going through, I hope you get your rainbow baby soon ❤️

@mishmased @LS2020 @Theworkingmama
IIIIMMMM PREGNAAAAANNNTTTT 😂😂😂 guys! We did it! I literally just tested, tried so hard to save up 4 hours of wee to use 😅 it's a faint line just like my first test with the last one and same tests so I know it's right. We agreed we weren't going to tell a single soul until we felt safe, so here is the only place I will be sharing it. 💕

mishmased · 06/12/2021 07:34

@jokerflowers this is fantastic news to wake up to 💃 💃💃💃 Congratulations, I'm super delighted for you❤️❤️❤️

@mishmased thank you so much, I'm over the moon. I just hope everything goes well, I was really worried about how I'd not panic about going through the same thing, but I just feel like this one is going to be okay 🥰 I'll be booking extra scans of course haha, but I feel like this is gunna be fine x

PrettyLights · 06/12/2021 14:06

@jokerflowers That's amazing news, congratulations!!

We actually also have tentative good news - I got a positive test on 23rd November, but it's been a bit of a bumpy ride. I was almost a week late, but wasn't sure if it was just erratic AF due to the miscarriage, so hadn't tested. But then got some spotting on the Tuesday, so did a test to see if it was just AF or if it was a miscarriage like before - and it was positive. So it was just so depressing thinking we were losing another one.

Buuut then the spotting stopped after a few days and now we're kind of tentatively thinking maybe we're allowed to start getting excited? But I feel like I'm just so anxious that it'll happen again that it's sort of robbed us of any excitement.

We're at 7 weeks tomorrow and I think maybe if we reach 8 weeks I might start believing it's going to happen!

jokerflowers · 06/12/2021 14:55

@PrettyLights thank you!

And it does sound like maybe you could start to get a little excited, I really hope so anyway! Is booking a private scan an option?

mishmased · 07/12/2021 00:27

@jokerflowers that's it, just take one day at a time. During my last pregnancy I used to check this website datayze.com/miscarriage-reassurer when I get a bit nervous. I also used to tell myself there is absolutely nothing I can do (bar risky behavior) to change the outcome.

@PrettyLights congratulations 🥳 so delighted to hear your news. Try not to worry too much, having had the experience of a miscarriage makes being pregnant feel tougher. Baby steps (literally 😂).
Will keep you both in my thoughts.x

LS2020 · 07/12/2021 19:44

@jokerflowers @PrettyLights congratulations both! Hoping all goes well ❤️ I used that miscarriage website too @mishmased and helped me a lot 😊

@prettylights have you asked GP for progesterone with spotting? Sometimes can help when levels are low

jokerflowers · 08/12/2021 11:34

@mishmased @LS2020

Thanks for that website! Never heard of it before but it's actually really re assuring! I'm somehow nice and relaxed, of course if pops into my mind but I just sort of say to myself everything's gunna be fine this time. Questions tho, when do you think is okay for me to book an early scan? First day of my last period was 10/11 so my rough dates days I'm 3+5 at the moment, I want a private scan as soon as is safe to do so just for my peace of mind but not sure when to aim for.

@PrettyLights hope everything's going okay for you? How's the spotting and that now?

mishmased · 08/12/2021 15:30

@jokerflowers earliest I would personally book a scan would be 7 weeks ideally 8 weeks but 7 weeks is a good time. Yep just try to relax, I found that website quite good mentally.

jokerflowers · 08/12/2021 17:13

@mishmased thank you, i think I'll try to wait as long as I can, simply because I know the dates are an estimate at the moment, so if I go and they say I'm not as far along as I should be I'll panic it's the worst when really it could just be I'm earlier than predicted, if that makes sense 😅

I'll check the website again deffo

PrettyLights · 09/12/2021 14:37

Thank you @jokerflowers @mishmased @LS2020 - no more spotting for the last week and morning sickness has kicked in, which means I'm swinging between feeling like the mother of all hangovers and actually happy because it might mean it's sticking!

Got our booking in appointment next week, but going to try and hold out for the NHS 12 week scan rather than going early.

jokerflowers · 09/12/2021 14:50

@PrettyLights that's great news! I'm the same, no nausea or anything but sore boobs and weeing a lot! Plus a water retention bump, and I'm so grateful for it all 😅 I love that my boobs are hurting, last time I complained about all this and regretted it after, now I couldn't be happier. I'm also going to try and resist the urge for an early scan, I feel like I'd just panic more. How much would you guys say each day you actually think of the pregnancy? Silly question I know, but I try to distract myself so time goes faster, it doesn't seem to work tho 😂

PrettyLights · 09/12/2021 16:41

@jokerflowers Haha I think about it a lot...! But same as you I'm trying to distract myself as much as possible. Feels like time is going so slow, but then it actually now has been more than 2 weeks since we found out! Only another month to wait for the scan!

Yes I feel like the early scan might just make me stress, as the dates might be out since I didn't have a period in between miscarriage and getting pregnant again. No idea when I actually ovulated!

Purple29 · 09/12/2021 16:52

Hi, I hope its OK for me to come in on this thread. I'm feeling so anxious. It took us 2 years to conceive DS. He will be 2 in March and he arrived 10 weeks early with no explanation.
We only started trying again 3 months ago. So I was very surprised to get a BFP on Sunday. Then on Tues I had some brown blood when I wiped, had it for the rest of tues and wed and very lightly today. Nothing on a pad or anything. Could this still be implantation bleeding or is it what they are saying is a chemical?!( Feels like a horrible term.)
Another 2 week wait to test feel like torture!!!

jokerflowers · 09/12/2021 17:21

@PrettyLights I'm glad it's not just me, I think about baby a lot but I tryyyyy not to, I'm just not that busy in my days 😭 half terms coming up so that'll distract me I hope, but I co parent with their dad and only have my first 2 half the week so the other half I'm not distracted at all, especially when my partners at work 😂 I'm gunna try hold off til my scan, I only found out Monday so still feels so new to me

@Purple29 that doesn't sound like anything to worry about to me lovely, I had that In my last pregnancy early on too, when everything was still okay 😊

Purple29 · 09/12/2021 17:35

@jokerflowers thanks. I hope so, wish I didn't have to wait 2 weeks to test again and know if I was still pregnant. Feels like such a limbo!! !

PrettyLights · 09/12/2021 18:12

@Purple29 Congratulations on the BFP! It sounds very like what I had at the beginning - I thought it was the start of a miscarriage, as the 1st day was the same as what I had before. But then it got less and stopped, and has been fine since. If it stays brown and then stops, I'd say it's most likely implantation bleeding - if it gets much more (more like a period) and bright red, then ring the early pregnancy unit for their advice.

I did a few tests over the course of a week to see if they got darker and they seemed to, so assumed it was just progressing. It is hard to wait to find out if everything is okay!

@jokerflowers I know, same - my work has gone into its quiet period after a really busy few months, so I'm just kind of twiddling my thumbs and trying not to think about it!

Purple29 · 09/12/2021 20:03

@prettylights how far on were you when you had the implantation bleeding? I would have been 4w+1 when it started, so very early. Its gone to pretty much nothing today. So it was a little pink at the start but then just brown and really only when I wiped or went to the toilet. Was way too light to be a period tho. I'll just need to keep my fingers crossed!! Thanks. Its very reassuring to know others have had similar and still have positives!!

PrettyLights · 10/12/2021 08:32

@Purple29 I'm not exactly sure on when I ovulated, as my last 'period' was actually a miscarriage - dating from the 1st day of that bleeding I was at 5 weeks, but may have been slightly earlier in terms of when I actually conceived.

Really does sound positive for you, definitely sounds like implantation bleeding rather than anything bad! Positive thoughts!

Purple29 · 10/12/2021 09:54

@PrettyLights thank you. I'll try and stay positive. I've not had any cramping either. I'm really hoping it sticks. 🙏
