Anyone testing this weekend?

Hey ladies,

I’m thinking of testing this weekend - nervous for the result as obviously a BFP is very much wanted. It’s our first cycle of actually deliberately trying for a baby....we already have a beautiful 4 year old daughter but due to medical reasons I was advised not to have another baby until they were resolved. Sadly I had a miscarriage back in July with a sort of unplanned pregnancy.
My partner has left the country to go back to work for a few months so I will be all alone testing and seeing the result - need some virtual friends for support :)

Curious if anyone else is testing soon? If so which test kit is the most reliable? AF is due on the 10th and I’m pretty sure I won’t be able to hold off until then. I think I’m around 7 dpo at the moment!

Hi I'm 7 dpo today to.. I got a positive test first respond but unsure if it's true I too had a miscarriage had a d&c Dec 31.. I know for a fact I ovulated on the 25 or 26. But not sure if it's from my miscarriage baby or is a new pregnancy.. Did you take your ovulation. Do you know when you did?

Yes I'll be testing this weekend if AF doesn't come this week so it will be a long week!!

This is month 1 of TTC our first.

Not sure which test to use. A lot of people use First Response. I have had issues with Clearblue in the past with slightly dodgy results so probably going to avoid them personally.

I always go for first respond if testing early but the cheap on from the internet are good too .. I did get a negative with those so I'm so lost dont want to get happy and not be nothing ... When will you test Saturday ..

Hey @Lovegirl1232 I’m so sorry to hear of your miscarriage. Words can’t soothe the loss of the hope of the change of a new baby to be suddenly taken away. Yes I was testing my levels for ovulation - I think my peak was on the 26th Jan.
Amazing you’ve tested positive with First Response - my only concern is that your body might still have good levels of hCG from your miscarriage - I hope I’m wrong!

@pixiedust21 Thank you for the hand hold :) I have a couple of FRER so I think I’ll use that - I’ve read they pick up quite low levels of hCG compared to CB.

I hope we all get BFP!!

I might do it will be 5 days before my period is that too soon to test? I have a first response early test and it's also our first proper time trying.

I think they can pick it up this early however the chances do obviously increase the closer to your period date. If you do test negative 5 days early I would still test again after a few days as it could still come up positive I think?

@MNGal1987 I know I had peak on 25th n 26th.. Of ovulation.i too ovulation tests to confirm.. Can I still ovulate even if I still have hcg from my miscarriage I'm confused how this works?

@chickychicchic I’ll be testing 4 days prior but I guess 24 hours is probably quite a lot when it comes to hCG levels - if you get a negative then just wait a couple of days more :)

@Lovegirl1232 ahh so we ovulated around the same time. Do you have any symptoms?
Valid point regarding ovulation and hCG levels. I’m not a doctor but I guess you wouldn’t ovulate if you had high levels of hCG so your positive test really sounds promising - congratulations lovely :)

Keep updating best of luck I'm gonna try to wait till. Thursday and test again if it comes out as light I'm gonna say its from the misscarge witch I'll be so sad :(

Maybe me!! AF due on the 13th. The FRERs say they can pick it up 6 days before so that would be this Sunday. I think I might see if I get any symptoms this week as when I had DS1 I could definitely feel something a little different and I got a BFP 6 days before AF due.

Can I join? I'm due on Sunday so if she hasn't gate crashed into my weekend I'll be testing then...absolutely everything crossed!

The wait is awful! I'm on day 32, cycles average around 34 days so could still get AF this week. Will test Sat if not. Keep expecting to get it though and not get my hopes up especially as this is just month 1. Ahhh Sending solidarity to everyone waiting!

I’m so impatient - I have what feels like obvious signs of pregnancy but they are just the same symptoms prior to AF 🤷‍♀️
I expect the worst but hope for the best to try and avoid disappointment (yet at the same time look a baby name lists 😅)

@MNGal1987 haha yes - me too with the symptoms. Everything could be pregnancy or AF! Probably just making them up in my mind at this point. To be honest I'd rather just get AF now if I'm going to get it rather than these creeping feelings lol.

I will be 8 dpo at the weekend, should not test but fully expect I will end up wasting a test on the off chance I was an early implanter - weak poas willpower here 4/5 dpo at the moment and no symptoms in the slightest!!

@PurpleandOrange I got a really strong BFP at 9 DPO last time around so it's definitely possible. But then I also have terrible POAS willpower so I will only encourage others to be as bad as me

@Lovegirl1232 you might want to join the TTC aftter MC thread I'm on. From what I read you got a negative after MC on a One Step (when was that?) and now have a positive on a FRER but arent sure if it's new pregnancy or old HCG?

So firstly, you can stil ovulate with HCG in your system but it has to be low. So the hormones would be v much on their way out.

Have you taken a One step now? If the lines continue to darken on a FRER every 2 days and darken on One Steps, I'd be pretty happy it's a new pregnancy

I can just tell I'm going to break and test tomorrow haha. Won't be officially late til Friday. Eek. I hate the waiting already. Don't know how I'll do this month after month but thankful I found this forum!

@TheDaydreamBelievers thank you I'm new to this not sure how to join that group .. I got a neg on the cheap test on the 12 January had my dc Dec 31. And got my first postive of my ovulation on 25th. Then a positive pregnancy on first respond on 31january my lines are not getting darker they are the same very light and on the cheap one is neg. Even today feb 3 same thing.. I'm starting to think it might be not good news whatever is happening .. I'm gonna say I'm not pregnant I guess I'll test again Monday .. Thank you for all the information you gave me I appreciate it

I’m not sure if I’ll test this weekend, I have irregular cycles and like @pixiedust21 anything up to 34 is normal for me which would be Wednesday.

Does anyone have any early symptoms? With my DD I just knew and my boobs were very sore/tender.

I feel like they are a little heavier and I can see a few veins (tmi) but that could just be because AF is due sometime between now and Wednesday!

@Randomness12 I feel like I have some symptoms but equally I'm not sure I've had some nauseous feelings and my nipples are feeling sore. I don't feel how I usually do the week of AF. My boobs feel different. I'm awake now and feel sickly. But... it could all be random. Definitely testing tomorrow because I feel I could be, so want to know if I'm just crazy.

Are you getting any?

Hello ladies hope you don't mind me joining...but of a long one so here we go
I was taking seven seas and was due a period on the 10th dec it didn't come I then realised the tablets was messing my cycles so stopped taking them. Finally had a period on the 5th jan and due on again today...didn't test for ovulation so don't know if I did ovulate when I was supposed to but this is my test from this morning, I took one yesterday and there was something there but barely there and today done this with FMU and it's just there again, maybe a bit more then yesterday.

I only know I'm due on today because of period tracker apps
