Hi, does anyone want to come and keep me company? Currently ttc#3 and I don’t know how many dpo I am as my cycles have been a bit unpredictable for the last year but I’d say between 8 and 12 dpo at a guess. I had a chemical in September and a miscarriage at about 6 weeks in early November. This month has been the first month we started trying again and I wasn’t going to test early but after feeling knackered and iffy all weekend I did an impulsive test last night before bed and got the faintest squinter ever. This morning I tested again and got a faint but definitely there positive that my phone camera managed to pick up 😬.

I don’t even want to tell DP yet as the last 2 BFPs didn’t stick. I don’t know what do do with myself today in between homeschooling and the kids have picked today to be really motivated and not needing much help from me.

Glad it went ok @Hoplop. How are midwives appointments arranged in your area? I arranged mine through my GP and she is based in the GP surgery.

@Secretsquirrelisfedup I’m honestly not too sure! I had DS abroad so midwife booking was slightly different.

I rang the GP surgery last week and they gave me a central number for midwifery team at the nearest hospital. A HCA took my details and then said someone will be in touch to arrange a booking appointment. So I figure it’s just wait to hear in the next couple of weeks 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’ll ring if I haven’t heard by 10 weeks I think.

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 04/03/2021 12:19

@Hoplop it’s crazy how different it is from area to area. When I had DS I was with a different GP near where I worked (same town but other side) and the midwife was based out of a community/ health centre in the middle of a ridiculous to navigate rat run of an estate a few miles away but I think the GP still arranged the first appointment as soon as I rang them. Then all further ones were arranged at the appointment before so I always knew where I was with everything.

I would be ringing to chase it up now but I’m impatient and I hate not knowing what to expect.

@Secretsquirrelisfedup @Hoplop my GP want nothing to do with it! Everything is self referral and then appts on the phone/at the hospital each time. I went this morning only to be sent home and told it was actually a phone appt, not in person like my letter says - still waiting for a call back. I’m so angry!

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 04/03/2021 13:18

@daisyorange2 I’m not surprised you’re angry. The lack of accurate communication is rubbish and shows that they just don’t consider the details important or take into consideration that people build themselves up to these appointments and book time off work or arrange childcare etc so that they can attend. I hope they ring you soon x

daisyorange2 · 04/03/2021 13:21

@Secretsquirrelisfedup they actually said ‘oh it’s probably because you’ve rescheduled so it’s got mixed up’ I said no... I didn’t reschedule, I had a miscarriage and you didn’t cancel my appointment from that pregnancy, even though I called to let you know what had happened. The cheek! So glad I have my private scan on Saturday.

Lilbambinoplz · 04/03/2021 13:21

@Hoplop sorry to jump in I'd also call if I were you going by my experience
I had to self refer to maternity unit at hospital my gp dosent have midwife at mo they been re deployed, I have my booking appointment tomorrow it's a phone appointment but I only no that as I rang the number I had got in an email from hospital with an issue and it was only in that conversation that she looked to see when I was booked in for I still haven't received a letter of email telling me this so luck I did ring. Yours may be sooner than you think 😊

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 04/03/2021 13:29

That really is rubbish @daisyorange2. Hopefully once you’ve had your first appointment, the rest should run a bit smoother and Saturday will be here in no time.

How is it going for you @Lilbambinoplz?

OP posts:
Hoplop · 04/03/2021 13:48

It’s like someone read my mind as a midwife called to arrange an appointment 10 mins ago for next week!

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 04/03/2021 13:55

Haha @Hoplop uncanny timing 😁

@Secretsquirrelisfedup not to bad thank you the sickness isn't fun but while it's there it helps subside the worry
How are u? x

Lilbambinoplz · 04/03/2021 14:02

@Hoplop glad to hear u have ur appointment now x

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 04/03/2021 14:20

@Lilbambinoplz I’m torn between fed up of the sickness and thankful for it. Lol. I’m feeling a lot less anxious though since I had scan on Tuesday that showed everything is as it should be.

I haven’t got any appointments either! It’s impossible to speak to anyone.

I presume as long as we have bloods before 10 weeks it should be fine though!

Pleased to hear your scan went well hoplop!

Lilbambinoplz · 04/03/2021 18:24

@Secretsquirrelisfedup I'm glad to hear your feeling less anxious x

SusanaDayana · 04/03/2021 19:36

Just a quick update: yesterday in the afternoon I wiped bright red blood. I figured it was AF coming and that's why I got a BFN that morning (although I had the symptoms of early pregnancy). I put in a tampon but many hours later checked and it was with only spots of dark and pink colour. No more blood the rest of the day or night. Today only again when I wipe I have pink tint or nothing. I'm testing again tomorrow morning, but I'm curious have any of you had "implementation bleeding" ???

I've not had it with my other pregnancies but then again I may not have paid as much attention back then.

It's so confusing! I even had throbbing sore breasts last night which isn't normal for me even before AF.

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 04/03/2021 20:03

@SusanaDayana what day of your cycle are you on? I have had implantation bleeding in a previous pregnancy but if it is implantation bleeding then I wouldn’t expect a positive test till a few days after. That being said the fact that AF isn’t in full flow after a few hours could definitely be a good sign and there are a few reasons for spotting and light bleeding in early pregnancy that are harmless. Fingers crossed for you x

SusanaDayana · 04/03/2021 20:18

@Secretsquirrelisfedup I don't actually know for certain because my app I use gives me a 5 day window of possible ovulation. I don't do temp checks with opt like I did two years ago when I was TTC my son. My cycles only started late last summer and for the first time have not been very regular (usually 28 day cycles). The last three have been 31 days down from 33-35 days. I ovulated very late with my last pregnancy on cycle day 16 or so (what my app suggested)

Today I'm on CD30 and I DTD on CD11 and CD15. I believe I could have ovulated as late as CD17?

I feel like AF should come but it's not happening, which is good but nevertheless nerve-racking.

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 04/03/2021 20:42

@SusanaDayana your cycles sound like mine for the last couple of years. So frustrating when you can’t actually pinpoint where you’re up to with your cycle. It does sound promising from what you are saying. I hope tomorrow is your lucky day xx

Hi ladies

Yes @Secretsquirrelisfedup thanks for thinking of me. Absolutely bricking it. Trying to keep busy to stop myself freaking out even more.

X

Secretsquirrelisfedup · 06/03/2021 10:39

@daisyorange2 I’m excited for you. Sending you all the good luck 😁.

Hope all goes well @daisyorange2

DS and I have just spent an hour in the park for fresh air! Struggled with feeling rubbish yesterday but better today so it’s nice to feel a bit more human.
