Hello team! Join the 2WW train!

4 DPO and already feeling stressed and irritable about it. Shifts til Thurs to keep me busy but what then? It just seems like forever. Will 100% be caving and testing later in the week because I have zero self control.

Who's with me?!

The one with the mysterious pink line was FMU and a more sensitive one (10g/ml). I just took two more (15mg/ml and 12mg/ml) and both were BFNs.

Bloody hell. I have a cold and don't know whether I'm allowed a Lemsip. Confused

SorbusAucuparia · 16/02/2021 10:13

mIU/ml, rather.

Amz6219 · 16/02/2021 10:43

@SorbusAucuparia, you're going to have to get some FRER...!

Have a hot honey & lemon and some paracetamol - same difference :) Hope you feel better though! x

1boo1 · 16/02/2021 18:06

Hope you are all well 🙂 just popping on to catch up a few days.

I did a CB digital yesterday after my positive FRERs last week. It came up 2-3 weeks and by my estimation I'm 4+1 yesterday so seems right.. I have another to take mid next week if I can wait that long and hope it says 3+ for peace of mind!

Been googling early scans this afternoon. Our local ones say from 6 weeks which seems early but is exciting.. nervous too!

Curlymam88 · 16/02/2021 19:09

Congratulations @1boo1 so pleased for you Smile I had a scan with my last pregnancy at 7 weeks and was told I was really lucky to see the heart beat that early. Maybe book one for 7 to 8 weeks if you can wait that long Grin as for me im still waiting for the weekend to come to do a test. I've been having some back ache today and some mild cramps. It's probably AF knowing my luck Angry

Stoakey · 16/02/2021 20:12

Hi ladies - I've been reading through tonight and seeing all the positives has made me smile. :)
I'm new to Mumsnet, so all the acronyms are a bit of a challenge to wrap my head around!
My partner and I just decided to come off contraception (Jaydess) in mid-Jan and see how we go before it comes time to have to really start making a crack at it before time runs out, but naturally I'm a bit 'oooh, could it happen already? Am I ready for it to happen already? What if it doesn't happen already???!!!' Whilst simultaneously peeing on sticks I know won't show me anything and looking up the Which best buy buggies and local nurseries.
I'm a bit confused about ovulation dates - my fitbit says one thing, Mumsnet says something earlier, but there's still a possibility this month either way. This would be my first, so I've no idea what to expect. If my fitbit doesn't lie, then I would have ovulated around 3 days ago, if Mumsnet tells the truth then it was more like 7 days ago.
I've been really tired and teary since last Friday, so maybe that's a thing?
:S eek.

Stoakey · 16/02/2021 20:16

or perhaps I'm just being a miserable c*w ;P

Magnum99 · 16/02/2021 21:39

@Stoakey I'm exactly the same, I've been testing since about 1dpo 🙈 ... I'm now 9dpo and I think I've already done 6 or 7 tests, all negative of course.
Also been looking at prams, nursery decor, baby clothes, I feel like an absolute nutter. I was never this obsessed with my other 2 but I suppose I had age on my side when I was in my 20's, now at nearly 38 I'm worried we've left it too late x

Sparrowfeeder · 16/02/2021 21:58

@Magnum99 I am the same age as you (38) and am also worried we left it too late. But I wasn’t in control of the timing, sadly. It gets worse each month, just a really low level panic feeling.

I am still testing negative and at 12dpo today I have had a few intermittent cramps. I assume AF is on its way (due 18th) but a tiny part of me holds out hope because the only time I got pg (a mc) I had the same and thought my period was coming. Either way, late implantation is a bad sign. Just want my next cycle now tbh! I got a ferti lilly to try this month...

Magnum99 · 16/02/2021 22:56

@Sparrowfeeder how long have you been trying for? This is our first month, an accident in the bedroom and the prospect of being pregnant last cycle made us realise how much we want another whilst we (hopefully) still have chance. We've always talked about having another but the timing has never been right, the timing still isn't right but we've come to the conclusion it's now or never. And now I want it so badly, I'm an all or nothing kinda girl!

I've got a FRER to do in the morning, fingers crossed for a BFP 🤞🏻

Curlymam88 · 17/02/2021 12:28

How did your test go this morning magnum? I've been feeling very teary this morning and feeling sick. I did a clearblue test but it showed negative. I think im 11dpo. I think AF isn't due until Sunday or Monday. Is there still a chance for a positive do you think?

Sparrowfeeder · 17/02/2021 13:53

@Magnum99 ten months now, with two chemicals and one miscarriage in Dec. It feels like much longer though...

This would be our first child so am also having to hold in mind that we might not get to have a family (and thinking what we could do instead to fill that void, we already have dogs Grin!).

Another bfn for me at 13dpo (One step strip and a frer, just to be sure Hmm). Hope you have had more luck! Fingers crossed.

Magnum99 · 17/02/2021 15:34

BFN on a FRER for me today, I'm 10 DPO so I think it would have picked it up if I was pregnant 😔

I've now pretty much given up hope for this month, I know it's daft but I feel like if I've not conceived after all the bonking we did this month then it's maybe just never going to happen.
Yes I know I'm being ridiculous as it's only our first month TTC, but that's how I feel 😔

Horehound · 17/02/2021 15:51

@Magnum99 try not to be disenheartened. I think the average is 6 months trying for first baby? And it's not over until af shows up.
Did you use opks?

Horehound · 17/02/2021 15:52

Sorry I see this is not your first baby!

I conceived first try for my first and I stupidly thought it would be the same this time around but no...but this is only month one. Onwards and upwards.

Mom1of2 · 17/02/2021 16:00

I'm currently undergoing IVF - 9 days post 5 day transfer. I've got my blood test to see if its worked tomorrow...

Stupidly did a test today. It was negative.

We tested in the afternoon, when I really needed a wee because I'd been drinking alot, using a Morriston own test. 😒 so now we've got all the 'yeah but maybe its not accurate!'

We only got this one because it was the only one they had in stock ☹

What are everyone's thoughts/experience on cheap tests vs the more expensive ones?

Horehound · 17/02/2021 16:21

@Mom1of2 I don't know anything about IVF so what would this mean as in days past ovulation? Because i think cheaper tests would only show a positive around the time you would have actually had a period whereas tests like clearblue can test something like 6 days before that. Plus you used watered down wee! Fingers crossed for you

Magnum99 · 17/02/2021 16:22

@Horehound we used to joke that DH only had to look at me and I got pregnant - clearly that's no longer the case.

We'll keep trying, I'm going to try and not get so obsessed over it though and not test until I'm late, I just feel like I'm setting myself up for more disappointment by getting myself so giddy.

Mom1of2 · 17/02/2021 17:15

@Horehound id be due on my period on Saturday, so 3 days time. Fingers crossed we just used the wrong test 😔

Magnum99 · 17/02/2021 17:32
@Horehound id be due on my period on Saturday, so 3 days time. Fingers crossed we just used the wrong test 😔
Possibly. The test you used is designed to only detect a pregnancy once your period is late.
Fingers crossed you get good news from your blood tests tomorrow, do you find out the same day?

Mom1of2 · 17/02/2021 18:30

I should get a result sometime after 2pm... 🤞

I'm just hoping I was daft to do it with diluted urine 😫

Horehound · 17/02/2021 19:34

I agree with you @Magnum99 next time we try I'm not testing until the two weeks. My husband said what's the point anyway, you want to be sure not squinting at tests!
And I think we have more chance if we feel more relaxed! Hard though

Magnum99 · 17/02/2021 19:57

@Horehound definitely! We do cheap tests early but when they are negative we don't believe them because they are only cheapies so then spend more money on expensive tests but then don't believe them as we've done it too early.
Bloody minefield!

Sparrowfeeder · 18/02/2021 14:04

Well, the plot thickens, my nausea is worsening, I threw up all my dinner last night. I am starving but can’t quite bring myself to eat. I am crying at really minor silly things when normally pms for me looks like rage rather than tears. Various tingles and pains in intimate areas. Mild intermittent cramps, sore boobs but could be pms.

AND still testing negative at 14dpo! AF due in window from today until Sun (mc messed up my cycle length) so it’s anyone’s guess...! Grin

I am going with bfn for now (but if so, some v. unusual hormonal stuff is happening so I might need to monitor that...).

How is everyone else getting on? Flowers

Liland · 18/02/2021 14:13

Jumping on this thread because I'm bummed out. 11dpo, AF due Monday. Another BFN this morning using the One Step tests :( I really thought this was the month, lots of DTD in the right window, and weird cramps at 7dpo. I hate the uncertainty of TTC.
