@thislittlebird I think I'm going to get some ubiquinol to add to it and see if the doc recommends anything when I chat to her. I'm already taking extra iron tablets

thislittlebird · 04/02/2021 12:53

I’m 6dpo (but due on 10/2) so bang in the middle lol. I’m not going crazy really, I sort of don’t expect it at this stage, but I still can’t help thinking maybe this time it will be different...! Annoying.

thislittlebird · 04/02/2021 12:58

@Marvellouslymadmum Speaking of iron, I did a test for iron at home recently (Superdrug blood test kit) and the seven seas was clearly working and it came back as high...not sure if that’s an issue but hopefully not 🙃

Yes, definitely give the ubiquinol a go, lots of people rave about it.

Marvellouslymadmum · 04/02/2021 13:01

@thislittlebird oh that's good! My doc put me on the iron tablets a week ago as when she did my blood tests that was the only thing that showed up, very low iron. I am a veggie though and have always had low iron, I'm a little concerned that she's put me on a high dose plus I'm taking the pregnacare though! Hopefully it won't go shooting up too high lol

TTCat39 · 04/02/2021 13:12

Hi @MgW1, it's such a mind bender isn't it!

I'm symptom spotting again! I usually get pain in the bones of my lower pelvis during the first two days of AF. It feels like a strong ache, like my sit bones are trying to pull apart from each other. It's very odd and quite painful! Anyway, I'm a few days off AF, but today and yesterday I have had this same feeling.

I really don't know what to expect from the new vitamins i've been taking, but I haven't had this pain before unless it's been CD1 and CD2. Hmmm.

I don't think AF will be here as soon as it was last month (random short cycle) but fingers crossed it doesn't arrive at all! I don't think i'm going to test unless AF hasn't arrived by next Wednesday. But ask me on Monday when i'm bouncing off the walls!

Happyhappy37 · 04/02/2021 13:23

@MgW1 yea, af due tomorrow
@TTCat39 and @thislittlebird how is it going?

Geriatric1234 · 04/02/2021 13:35

Hello! I’m 42 and TTC #1 after meeting DH late. Just trying to let nature do her thing and accept the outcome as IVF not my bag. If it’s not achieved in 18 months I’m buying whatever new car I want ;-D

Had pregnancy first attempt in Nov 20. MC December so just had bloods done to make sure no obvious culprits besides dodgy eggs.

Vit D/Thyroid all good. AMH 6.3 which at my age is at the low end of normal.

Ditched sugar/caffeine. Reduced gluten.

Now we just see what happens I guess!

All advice welcome.

Following all your stories with fingers crossed and non-alcoholic booze on ice! xx

Happyhappy37 · 04/02/2021 13:53

@Geriatric1234 Welcome, wishing you all the luck on your TTC journey.

thislittlebird · 04/02/2021 14:43

Welcome @Geriatric1234! Great that it worked first attempt though, fingers crossed it’ll work for you soon.

I’m not veggie but I sort of am @Marvellouslymadmum, because my DH is 90% veggie/10% pescatarian so we both eat the same way. That’s why I tested my iron really. We have decided to eat more fish at the moment to see if it helps Confused

Hopefully they’ll monitor you if you’re double dosing it?

@Happyhappy37 how are you feeling? I’m feeling nothing whatsoever lol. Nada going on and it doesn’t feel like it will be this month for me, if that makes sense.

Happyhappy37 · 04/02/2021 14:50

@thislittlebird same here. 100% sure she will bless me with her ever so gracious presence 😊.

🤞🏽Fingers crossed the next one.

TTCat39 · 04/02/2021 15:05

Hi @Geriatric1234 ! It's really nice to have more 35+ ladies to chat to. I'm sorry to hear about your MC. I hope this isn't flippant to say, but at least you know you can get pregnant now, and i'm sending you every best wish that next time everything is well. xx

Geriatric1234 · 04/02/2021 15:26

Thank you for the warm welcome :-D

@TTCat39 Not flippant at all - it’s exactly how we feel! Was such a shock after never having the urge to try before and then for it to happen the first time in my life I’ve ever tried was highly reassuring, even if we didn’t get the ending we’d hoped for. At my age, this is just a numbers game so onwards and upwards!

Hope you don’t see AF for a while yet!

My DH is bracing to power through sciatica this weekend so we dtd pre-ov but I think with the amount of pain meds he’s on this week his swimmers are going to be a tad drowsy this attempt lol Grin!

Marvellouslymadmum · 04/02/2021 15:37

@thislittlebird I'm going to check with the gp when I speak with her next week as she's put me on 630mg a day which seems like a lot, no idea how much are in the pregnacare on top of that I'll have to look! I'm assuming she will bring me in for more bloods to check it anyway

MgW1 · 04/02/2021 16:04

@Geriatric1234
Welcome , sorry about the Mc , i had an early one similar time to you. Had one in sept as well 😫 don't know why, had bloods and an ultrasound and everything is fine. Im ttc number 3 but not been preg for over 5 years prior to trying this time xxx

MgW1 · 04/02/2021 16:06

@TTCat39
What vitamins have you started on? I take mine now every day with vit c as recommended by my doc when my iron levels were on the low side. Xx

TTCat39 · 04/02/2021 16:38

@MgW1 I am taking Pregnacare and also an additional 1000mg of vit C, daily - as i've heard it can lengthen the luteal phase. I was teetering on 'short' with my 25/26 day cycles, but last month's 21 day cycle was one I would rather not repeat. At least we could start again quickly after only a OWW (one week wait!) but I don't think that's long enough to enable an implantation. Perhaps it just meant I didn't ovulate at all that month. Last time I had such a short one was 7 months prior to that, so perhaps I just skip a month occasionally!

Fredsmama · 04/02/2021 17:02

@DawnWW are you feeling any better today? I’m sure it is worrying. Fingers crossed for you that you got sorted with Doctor and don’t have to go through weekend feeling that way. If it’s really bad I agree with other girls, try 111 or out of hours?

I’m out this month. Just started to spot. On plus side cycle lengthened from 25 to 27 days. Im
On every supplement under the sun...pregnancare, vit e, b6, vit c, and ubiqinol!
Good luck to all you ladies this cycle! On to next month 💪🏻!

Sleeeeeepy · 04/02/2021 17:34

@TTCat39 have you tried vit b complex? I was having ridiculously short cycles, shortest was 17 days, and it stretched them out to 25. I ovulate quite early so that seems about right. I've been back on it since the medical MMC management as I was hoping it might settle my cycle a bit faster

MgW1 · 04/02/2021 17:40

@TTCat39
I started taking 1000mg vit c too! Been on it over a month now and I started taking to help absorb more iron because I was anemic. Will it lengthen a 30 day cycle as well I wonder xx

Kitekat81 · 04/02/2021 19:02

Hello ladies! 👋 Hope you are all well. Welcome @Geriatric1234!

@DawnWW how are you feeling? I hope you are doing ok.

I'm 7dpo today, nothing to report here. After 10 months of nothing I have zero expectations of anything happening this month. Just waiting for my hycosy next month now, will see if that makes any difference.

thislittlebird · 04/02/2021 19:40

@Marvellouslymadmum that does sound a lot so I’m sure she’ll do more bloods again.

@Kitekat81 relatable. I feel very much like that this month. Now I know there’s possibly a problem my expectations are through the floor....and yet I still started googling when I got some unexpected EWCM earlier today Hmm. I know full well you can get it with a very normal oestrogen surge in the LP too. Ttc is demonic.

MgW1 · 05/02/2021 06:12

@thislittlebird
EPO definately messed my cycle up in the past , i ovulated 5 days late and had a chemical pregnancy which i think was a coicidence. Its great if you lack ewcm and short cycles xx

thislittlebird · 05/02/2021 08:22

Interesting @MgW1. How long did you take it for? So far I’ve only taken it this cycle and only from days 1-12ish because I heard you have to stop before ovulation. I’ll have to keep an eye out for any slightly late AF. Have you found it helped EWCM? I do lack it and I noticed I had a little more this month. I was taking EPO and drinking grapefruit juice.

MgW1 · 05/02/2021 08:26

@thislittlebird
I took it post miscarriage cycle because i have 2 month of no ewcm and I don't think i ovulated either. Anyway I think things have returned to normal now as this month i have had excessive amounts. Its defo worth a go xx

Sleeeeeepy · 05/02/2021 10:15

@Marvellouslymadmum have you had the chance to use the ferti lily cup yet? Is it any good or uncomfortable/difficult to use? Debating investing x
