@Bizawit ooh goodluck for testing! Be brave, you can do it.

CD18 for me. No sign of my egg. The wait continues...

Fingers crossed for everyone in the tww 🤞🤞

Carol1980 · 24/03/2021 09:21

@Bizawit good luck this morning x hope it's good news x

Oilyoilyoilgob · 24/03/2021 10:12

@Bizawit wishing you all the luck in the world for when you decide to test. I really, really hope this is your month 💚🍀💖

Yes you’re right I’m in the tww 😊 I ovulated anytime between Thursday morning and Saturday night according to a mix of the clear blue digital and opk strips. SI Thursday lunch, the traditional way Saturday a.m (still can’t bloody believe that!) then SI Sunday morning. Our experiment this month was to SI less but right over ovulation so let’s see!
I’m cd23 with an expected period date of 1st-3rd of April.

Good luck to everyone in their tww or waiting for ovulation xx

Bizawit · 24/03/2021 11:20

Thank you all. I wasn’t brave enough to take a test 😭. I did get another rise in my rhr last night 🤔. Still no sign of AF. 17dpo, cd34 today. I normally have a 30 day cycle, but it has been a bit temperamental recently.

@MrsKin90 sorry to hear ovulation is keeping you waiting 😖. How are you mainly tracking - is it through OPKs? Really hope that egg appears soon!

@Oilyoilyoilgob just over a week to go 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻. Baby dust to you ❤️❤️

@Bizawit really keeping my fingers crossed for you for if you do decide to test. You're being very strong to hold off!
@MrsKin90 how annoying for you that ov is keeping you waiting- hope that peak OPK is just around corner.
@Oilyoilyoilgob your SI this month sounds on point- will be keeping everything crossed it pays off for you! So brilliant you had one that wasn't actually SI- that must have been lovely for both of you.

I have had an interesting few days post D&C. The first 48 hours- which all the literature seemed to suggest would be the hard bit and the real recovery, passed totally uneventfully. And almost exactly as that 48 hour window came to a close then all hell seemed to be unleashed upon my poor abdomen on Sunday lunchtime. I had pain like I couldn't believe- cripplingly bad but not like period cramping. So rang docs ,Monday morning and they asked me to come in (which was also a shock!) and they saw me and said it seemed like the procedure had triggered my bowel to go into spasm- lovely! So that explained the crippling sharp pains happening. They gave me a prescription to stop spasming and that worked a treat so I thought that was the end of the pain. However by the afternoon new pains had started- really bad cramping, which got progressively worse, coming every 8-10 mins and lasting up to 2 mins, essentially they felt like the early labour contractions I'd had with DC1- I was having to breathe through them like contractions. They lasted 12 hours- so had no sleep, was kicking myself for giving my sister my TENS machine last month and was in utter hell tbh. Combo of codeine, paracetomal did nothing for them. Without going into graphic details by morning it seemed clear the intense cramps were linked to clearing remaining 'products of conception' as the medical literature calls it. And once these had been expelled everything felt better. I slept 12 hours straight last night as was so exhausted by it all.
Cannot believe I told work I would be back by Tuesday this week- I am looking back at myself from last week thinking: you silly billy. I've been off today and will stay off tomorrow too. FINALLY though I feel like I can draw a line under all of this now and am just hoping my body hasn't got any further curve balls to throw at me now!!

I'm looking forward to getting back on the TTC wagon now and just hope my period doesn't keep me waiting. Thinking of everyone in FW and in the TWW and wishing everyone a BFP this cycle- we need some more now! xx

Oilyoilyoilgob · 24/03/2021 17:35

@Makingnumber2 that sounds so, so awful. I’m so sorry you’ve had to go through that and you’ve been ever so brave.

Sending lots of hugs to you, keep well and looking after yourself xx

Bizawit · 24/03/2021 18:28

Oh my gosh @Makingnumber2 that sounds so intense and awful. You are so strong ❤️❤️. So sorry you had to go through that, but so glad you are through it now. Hope AF comes quickly for you now xx ❤️

Carol1980 · 25/03/2021 09:47

@Makingnumber2
Your are strong, you got this, and you will bounce back stronger than before ❤️ shitty time has passed and you have handled it like a trooper x sending lots of love x

@Bizawit I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this month is your month 👍❤️

Ovia has said I should test today....took an IC and it's a squinter.......

I'm not going to get my hopes up as I've been here before, tested and got a faint positive, then managed to get a 'pregnant' on a clearblue digital and then about a week later had a MC so I'm just going to try and relax as much as I can about it and see what happens x

Oh wow @Carol1980- that is a nice start to the day for you, albeit a nervewracking one as well given your previous experiences. I am going to be hoping with all of my being that this is a sticky, healthy bean for you.
Keep us posted on how things go!

AdriannaP · 25/03/2021 10:30

@Makingnumber2 fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🌈

Carol1980 · 25/03/2021 10:46

@Makingnumber2
We've been trying for about 17 months I think ! Pretty sure it was the October before lockdown that we started trying again, only thing I have done differently this month is SI pretty much every fertile window day and I started taking the concieve plus ovulation support and fertility support capsules x

Thank you for your kids words especially at such a hard time for you ❤️

birdbybird · 25/03/2021 12:09

@Carol1980
I’ve got all my fingers crossed for you!

Makingnumber2 · 25/03/2021 12:48

Thanks for sharing what you did differently @Carol1980 I've just ordered some of the conceive plus fertility support pills- it says to take for 3 months prior to TTC, but I'm going to hope they are fast acting Grin.

Carol1980 · 25/03/2021 13:04

@Makingnumber2
Yeah we only Ordered them when my period finished earlier this month, (8th March) and they were here in a day or so, I've always used pregnacare but when I saw these ones I though I might as well give it a try, plus I've just recently turned 40 so clutching at straws with regards to what might work for me 🤷‍♀️

Oilyoilyoilgob · 25/03/2021 14:53

Hi @Carol1980 hopefully that line gets darker and darker-fingers crosses!

Could you please tell me what’s the difference between conceive plus vs pregnacare?

Thank you

Carol1980 · 25/03/2021 15:05

I've just compared pregnacare with the conceive plus fertility support and apart from one brand having a little more of certain vitamins and the other having more of other vitamins etc from what I can see it's the ' conception blend' that conceive plus have which is different ?
Not a freaking clue if it's made any actual difference but this is what is on the packs

The first pic is the concieve plus, second is the pregnacare, third is the concieve plus ovulation support.

If this bean sticks it might just be extra something in the combination of the concieve plus which has worked for me as with my daughter I used the pregnacare vitamins x

Carol1980 · 25/03/2021 15:10

I've just remembered though that when I was looking at fertility stuff it was mentioned quite a few times on IVF sites as well as conception sites that coenzyme q10 was a factor ? But I can only see that on the pregnacare ? But my ovulation support one has 50mg of this where as the pregnacare only has 20mg 🤷‍♀️

Makingnumber2 · 25/03/2021 17:48

Oh bum- maybe I should have ordered the ovulation support one then... I will give the fertility support one a try and maybe see if there's a separate q10 that can be bought to take in addition.

Oilyoilyoilgob · 25/03/2021 20:14

@Carol1980 thanks so much for the pics 😊 can I please ask the brand name for these? Might get some after I’ve used up my pregnacare (although I got them on 3 for 2 from vitabiotics and still have two boxes to get through!)

For anyone taking pregnacare Pre conception from vitabiotics, if you hopefully do get a bfp it says it’s safe to keep taking it through pregnancy until you run out xx

Carol1980 · 25/03/2021 20:16

@Makingnumber2 I'm pretty sure I was actually searching for the q10 stuff when the concieve plus vitimin came up x I think Holland and barret do them and I'm sure you will be able to find them online no problem x

Here's hoping I'm not just a snake oil salesman and it does actually help x

So far I've tried the pregnacare, seven seas trying for a baby and now the concieve plus !! If anything my skin looks better !!

Makingnumber2 · 25/03/2021 20:38

@Carol1980 my skin is horrendous atm thanks to first tri hormone spots- so I need all the help I can get!
I did a little digging online around COQ10 and found some forum threads on here where people were talking about a book called the sperm meets egg plan and apparently this recommend the bio version of COQ10 which is more soluble/easier to absorb called Ubiquinol. The book apparently recommends starting dose of 100mg for anyone who doesn't have a specific diagnosis for infertility. So I've just dropped another £20 on some from amazon... I am not going to tell DH I've spent £45 on tablets today Grin. I'll let you all know how I get on with it. Ubiquinol is naturally occurring in the body's cells so that's made me feel bolder about trying it.
The conceive plus fertility support doesn't contain COQ10 only the ovulation one does so I figure I can take both supplements alongside each other. I'll report back on how I find it!

Carol1980 · 25/03/2021 21:35

I won't tell if you won't tell my hubby how much I spent on them 🤣🤣🤣

I'm such a POSA !!

Took another this evening....def darker than earlier !!
Also got some brown spotting !!

Just need to get through the first weeks and months before I will be able to properly relax !

I often wonder if people who haven't had a MC go through the same worry and stress and fear that we do when they first find out their pregnant ?

I'm still not 100% convinced that it will stick....
😳😳😳

Carol1980 · 26/03/2021 05:52

Well my body must be playing tricks on me, I'm pretty sure my 'brown spotting' is now a deep red so I'm guessing it's AF 🤷‍♀️

Couple of days early but knowing my luck of late it makes sense.

My question is why the hell is my cervix still high and very soft 😳🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

It's day like this that when your ttc you just think FFS 🤨

@Bizawit I hope your having better luck than me !!

Makingnumber2 · 26/03/2021 06:21

Oh @Carol1980 I’m so sorry that AF has shown. That is just cruel to give you a squinter on the rest and then she still turns up.
I’ve read cervical position isn’t a reliable indicator of pregnancy but I haven’t looked properly at what research is behind that claim. I hope you’re ok and Make sure you treat yourself to all the things you enjoy and just take care of yourself over the next few days xx

Carol1980 · 26/03/2021 08:13

@Makingnumber2 I'm just kicking myself to be honest.
I've made the decision that from now on I'm not going to waste money on tests and just wait 🤨 finding out too early just leads to horrendous disappointment when AF shows!

Need to order some more opk now 🤦🏼‍♀️

Thank you for your kind words though x I'm not too bad just now because I honestly didn't get more than a few hours of 'yeeey we're pregnant' so hadn't gotten used to the idea yet x
