@ComebackQueen now the ball is rolling I hope the time flies between now and July! Hopefully you get your bfp before then so there's no need 😊

@Oilyoilyoilgob when do you get your results back? Well done wanting to lose weight! I agree there's only so much you can control!

@Makingnumber2 have you thought any
more about maybe referring yourself to EPU or harassing midwives for some support?

@eloiseislost will be thinking of you this weekend! Let us know how you get on ❤️

@Sydney1986x how are you doing? Hope you're okay!

I'm 3dpo and super busy at work/with life but thinking of you all!

eloiseislost · 25/02/2021 20:51

@MrsKin90 Thank you for thinking of me, I'm stressing out about the scan as per usual! 😄 I will let you know how it goes! 🤞🏼

Yay, you ovulated! Does this work with your appointment for bloods after all?

OP posts:
MrsKin90 · 25/02/2021 21:01

@eloiseislost the chances are everything will be absolutely fine still so try not to freak out if you can (I'm sure it's impossible but it's obligatory advice!). How is your partner doing? Are men generally less concerned over all pregnancy related worries??
Yes I managed to book blood test for 8dpo which is fine 😊 all worked well in the end! Lots of stress and worry over nothing. X

Makingnumber2 · 26/02/2021 07:36

Great news your tests will be at right time for your Ov @MrsKin90! So I tried phoning the EPU and left message and then typically when they rang back I was in a meeting and couldn't answer. The midwife sounded a bit stern and harrassed in her message so it put me off calling back tbh. I did phone the Tommy's helpline instead and spoke to a midwife that way- she just said to stay sat on the fence about it, don't get my hopes up but try not to worry (easier said than done...) and talked me through what the process would be if it was bad news and how then the private clinic would refer me to EPU and what would happen from that point. I've spent considerable time reading up on what my options would be in terms of 'managing' the situation if the news is bad, although not cheerful reading it has helped my anxiety and made me feel more in control because I am clear on what each option would entail etc.

I will be sending lots of positive, healthy baby vibes your way @eloiseislost for your scan. I know how anxiety inducing it all is but hope you manage to find some moments of calm over the next few days!

Hope everyone in TWW or about to SI is doing well this week. It's so much nicer to have more light in the mornings and afternoons this week and also knowing there is finally an end in sight for lockdown Star

eloiseislost · 26/02/2021 11:07

@MrsKin90 "Lots of stress and worry over nothing" will be the title of my autobiography! 😂
DH is not concerned at all, but he's the kind of person that genuinely does not worry about things he can't control! Can you imagine? 😵 I think men don't really realise what's going on until the baby arrives, blessed are the naive!

@Makingnumber2 I'm sorry for all the uncertainty you are going through. Sending you positive thoughts! 💖 It's good that you had a look at the different management options, but do remember that nothing is certain yet, so if it starts to feel too much, step away from Google. 😉

Oilyoilyoilgob · 26/02/2021 12:42

@MrsKin90 I don’t know when my results are back, I was still crying going out of the room and didn’t even think about results 😬 we can log in online to see but I’m not sure I want to do right now I firmly have my head in the sand. Also for the stuff they’re testing I don’t want to Google stuff and scare myself. Is keeping my head in the sand acceptable for a bit?!

Also I’ve had mega tender, sensitive and painful boobs for the last few days. Absolutely vivid constant dreams. I started retching yesterday and I’m crying at everything. Also exhausted.
I’m really, really trying to not get any hopes up on a bfp and it could maybe be because I’m feeling a bit depressed and then I feel Jesus is it psychosomatic and I’m manifesting symptoms myself? I feel like I’m sending myself crackers this month. Normally I’m not like this and can compartmentalise really well.

When I got my sept bfp I ovulated approx 5th sept and by the 15th I was retching/sick, metallic taste and (tmi alert!) logged on my tracker that I did 6 poos that day alone. I had vivid, constant dreams then too. I tested that month on cd36 (22st sept)
I’m wondering could I be pregnant but tbh I have to box that hope away because I will be absolutely crushed this month. I just want to get pregnant again and keep it 😞 I’m cd26 so I’ll wait and see. On everything!

@eloiseislost no I can’t imagine being like that and my husband is like yours. I genuinely envy his ability to box things of and not worry or stress. I genuinely can’t imagine being like it. Easy to say but try have a chilled couple of days before your scan. I’m sending heaps of positive wishes through the airwaves that all goes well for you and your baby 💚

@Makingnumber2 sending big hugs to you. I’m glad you feel a bit better now you have awareness of what may happen. I’m sorry that you have to keep waiting, I hope you’ll be ok.

The mornings and brighter late afternoons are a godsend. The snowdrops and crocuses are our in the garden and the first mini daffodil is about to flower. I love spring, nature telling us things get better after darkness.

Happy Friday to everyone xx

Sydney1986x · 26/02/2021 13:17

Hey everyone,

@MrsKin90 thanks for checking in on me. TBH this week has been horrendous. My partner is still very poorly with COVID, our wedding can’t go ahead in May as intended/ hoped and I’m in the throes of rearranging this for another time and I am stressed and exhausted from it all. I feel so emotional and all over the place. I just want us to know where we stand and if we can move to June or next year. I’m so so drained. Sorry to be negative but that’s how I feel. I hope your TWW goes super quick @MrsKin90

@Makingnumber2 I am glad you had some reassurance and facts from Tommy’s. I really hope the next week goes quickly for your sake, sending a virtual hug to you.

Good luck tomorrow @eloiseislost !!

@Oilyoilyoilgob I am so hoping this month is your BFP!

For everyone else, I hope you’re all ok!

I am awaiting ovulation, on CD10 and I am discovering I ovulate very close to my period/ late in my cycle. I hope my partner is better soon and we get to SI this month Grin I will probably be back on this thread next week when the whole wedding shambles might be clearer!

Have a lovely weekend all- sun is shining & brighter days are coming for us all! Flowers

Oilyoilyoilgob · 26/02/2021 13:29

@Sydney1986x I’m ever so sorry to read your partner is still poorly with Covid-hopefully recovery and good health will start soon.
I really hope you get sorted with your wedding for either this year or next. It’s sounds a really stressful time.
Never apologise on this thread for feeling that you sound negative (although I’m guilty of that too!) life at the minute is turbulent for most of us and that’s excluding trying to conceive on top, especially not in the conventional sense!
You don’t have to apologise and you’re not being negative you’re being honest. Sending a big hug and make sure you keep as well rested and hydrated as possible, tough time for you physically and mentally.

Hopefully your partner gets a bit better, even just enough to do the odd ‘sample’ to get the ttc ball rolling this month 😁🤞🏻

Thank you for the wishes. For the first ever time I did a strip pregnancy test this early but it was negative last night. Partly just to stop driving myself mad as I’m starting to think I’m imaging symptoms then manifesting them within myself. Apart from the very tender boobs, I’m deffo not imagining them 😩
Who’d have thought a pre-bedtime routine is checking for veiny boobs and any change in nipples and checking vaginal discharge. Nice!

Big hugs to you and I hope you get good news regarding your new wedding date! Xx

Bluey18 · 26/02/2021 13:50

@Makingnumber2 I'm so glad the midwife from Tommy's was nice, I wish we had something like that where I'm from, it sounds like a great service. Even just to feel heard and be given a rundown of what to possibly expect. I'm keeping everything crossed for you for a quick wait for your next scan and that you hear good news.

@MrsKin90 Such great news about the bloods! I think I'm around the same time as you this cycle (5dpo currently), I hope the TWW isn't driving you as crazy as it's driving me right now Grin.

@eloiseislost best of luck on your next scan this weekend, will be lovely to see the little bean again Smile

@Sydney1986x Oh no I'm so sorry to hear about your wedding having to be postponed. My DP and I are delaying getting married due to Covid too, although thankfully I had nothing booked, so not had to reschedule anything. I hope you get good new about the wedding and that your DP is feeling better before your SIs this month!

@Oilyoilyoilgob Bless you, it's such an emotional time Flowers. Your symptoms all sounds very promising. I really hope this is your month.

Oilyoilyoilgob · 26/02/2021 14:06

@Bluey18 ah thank you, yes it’s emotional for so many of us right now isn’t it? Hoping over the next few month Covid eases it’s grip and we can start enjoying life outside again with friends and family 🤞🏻

Ooh 5 dpo for you! Sending lots of luck for you, and I hope it goes quickly and the wait isn’t too torturous xx

Birchybirch · 27/02/2021 08:02

@Makingnumber2 I'm glad you were able to speak to someone nice at Tommy's, and have an idea of what to expect if it is bad news. Keeping everything crossed though that it's not. Also hoping this next week goes quickly!

@eloiseislost good luck with your scan this weekend! I hope you are able to see a clear picture of the little bean!

Oooh @oilyoilyoilgob those symptoms do sound promising! I know what you mean about questioning whether you've imagined them, I've done that myself so many times this last few months. Will keep everything crossed for your bfp!

Ah @Sydney1986x sorry to hear about the wedding and your partner having covid. Hopefully they make a full recovery soon! X

Makingnumber2 · 27/02/2021 09:19

Thank you @eloiseislost @Sydney1986x @Oilyoilyoilgob @Bluey18 and @Birchybirch Smile

How funny 3 of you are all on 5dpo- well 6dpo by today! So odd how so many of us on here have cycles in sync!

@Sydney1986x I'm so sorry your DP is still so unwell with covid and that things have been so stressful for you with having to re-schedule your wedding again. I really hope your partner is feeling better very soon and that the re-scheduling process is a painless as it can be and that there won't need to be any more re-scheduling after this one.

@Oily all your symptoms sound promising and it is deffo still v early to see any kind of BFP so you're still 100% in the game! Will be keeping EVERYTHING crossed that this is your BFP month.

@eloiseislost thinking of you this weekend for your scan- I'm sorry I've forgotten if you said it was today or tomorrow, but will keep fingers crossed today and tomorrow to cover all bases!

Hope everyone gets to enjoy some springtime sunshine today!

eloiseislost · 28/02/2021 11:15

Thank you everyone for thinking of me this weekend! 💓
Little blob's heart still beating away and it has grown so much! Based on last scan I should be 8+2 today but this one put me at 8 exactly but the sonographer said that it is normal for dates to change at early scans, as 1mm=1 whole day apparently!

I hope everyone is having a good weekend, the weather is glorious here in Scotland! ☀️

What a beautiful blob @eloiseislost So pleased it all went well and you got see the heartbeat again 🥰 Bet you guys are over the moon! Do you have any other scans booked between now and the standard 12 week?

Birchybirch · 28/02/2021 12:00

@eloiseislost aww that is so fantastic to see! So happy for you! Yeah apparently the difference in days early in is so minimal x

eloiseislost · 28/02/2021 13:10

@Makingnumber2 Thank you! 💕
We will do the harmony test at 10 weeks and that includes a scan too. To be honest, I wish I could get hooked up on an ultrasound machine 24/7! 🤣
How are you these days?

@Birchybirch Thank you! 💞 I won't lie, I'm a bit anxious about the dates, but then again, it doesn't take much to make me anxious! 😄
How have you been?

OP posts:
Oilyoilyoilgob · 28/02/2021 13:20

@eloiseislost what a fabulous little bean and I’m so happy for you both that you can see him/her and hear the heartbeat 🥰 what a beautiful Sunday for you both, chuffed to bits for you!

Glorious weather too here in East Yorkshire-it’s so so sunny! We’re just about to head out for a huge walk. Sun out, birds singing-it’s a really lovely day. Happy Sunday everyone x

Birchybirch · 28/02/2021 13:27

@oilyoilyoilgob yeah it's lovely and sunny here in Manchester too 🙂 glad we all seem to be having some blue skies and sunshine!

@eloiseislost yeah I'm not too shabby thanks. Just about to have a drive out to find the private scan place for tue - I'm heading out in my "dinner hour" (although it's not monitored, so I can take longer, as long as I get my work done), so we need to really be there and back as quick as possible. Got the mhs one on Wed, and got the afternoon off. Dh joked the other day about going out for a nice meal afterwards, and I forgot foe a minute that we were in lockdown, so was really looking forward to it. Ah well, might have to make do with a subway or mcdonald's!

I know what you mean about wanting to be hooked up to an ultrasound 24/7!id love to for both reassuring, and also just general intrigue to watch them change and grow. The app I'm using is cool, but I just can't picture it inside me... X

Bluey18 · 28/02/2021 15:57

@eloiseislost So delighted to hear your scan went well! How lovely 🥰. Try not to worry too much about the dates, I was in and out to EPU and had multiple early scans with my DD due to complications and it would regularly change by 3 or 4 days! She's 2 and a half now!

I hope the time flies by for the next scan!

Oilyoilyoilgob · 28/02/2021 17:34

@Birchybirch aw I’m so pleased you had good weather for your drive out too! How exciting finding your scan clinic for next week. Will be thinking of you on Tuesday 😊
So gutting re restaurants, but yes get yourself a nice drive through and toast with a burger or sandwich!

@Bluey18 aww that’s so cute about your little girl and I’m sure put all the ladies having their scans at ease ☺️

ComebackQueen · 28/02/2021 18:20

@eloiseislost so lovely to see the scan, so happy everything is progressing nicely.Flowers

Also good to hear the weather you’ve had some lovely weather in Scotland, down in London I was tempted to get my bikini out LOL.

eloiseislost · 28/02/2021 20:03

@Bluey18 Thank you! 🙂 And thank you for sharing your reassuring story, I'm sorry your first pregnancy was so eventful but I'm sure DD was more than worth it! 💕

@ComebackQueen I was tempted to do a wee vitamin D gathering session in the garden but the nausea and the bloating kept me indoors. 😄

@Oilyoilyoilgob How was your walk?

Girls, I don't know if this is the hormones talking, but I'm just SURE we will have more BFPs this month!!! ❤️
I predict at least 1-2. 🤞🏼 🤞🏼 🤞🏼

OP posts:
Oilyoilyoilgob · 28/02/2021 20:19

@eloiseislost get that bikini on, you have a very valid reason for feeling bloated 🥰 oh that’s a shame about the nausea but hopefully it will ease soon. Good excuse for those lovely white carbs! I’m so happy for you about today, such good news about little bean.

The walk was lovely thank you, gorgeous views and sunshine but I’ve been absolutely freezing (I’m a coldarse 🙈) so I had a huge jacket and scarf on and some people were in shorts and t shirts, cannot imagine being a warm person ha!
My boobs are still absolutely killing me at the lightest touch. Told my husband my symptoms and now he’s on symptom watch, I’ve said not to get hopes up but I just didn’t want to suffer in silence 😄 Xx

Oilyoilyoilgob · 28/02/2021 20:20

Oh and I’m so hoping you’re right on more BFPs, loads of them I hope 🙏🏻💖💚

eloiseislost · 28/02/2021 20:24

@Oilyoilyoilgob Had a good cry today because I spoke to my mum on the phone (I have already told her I'm pregnant) and I was complaining that I've put on weight already, expecting her to tell me that it's OK and it doesn't matter as long as the baby is fine but noooooo… she just told me to stop eating so much. 😭
I know this makes my mum sounds like a terrible person, but she is not really, she has just been always a bit on the heavier side and she tends to blame all her life problems on that.

Your symptoms sound promising, love that you have a symptom watch partner! 😄 When is AF due? Keeping everything crossed for you! 🤞🏼 🌈
