Anyone else in their 2ww?

Hi all,

Is there any others currently in their 2ww?

OH works away so we could only DTD 2-3 days before O. So I don't know whether I'm that hopeful. Plus it's our first month trying for #2.

So is there anyone else currently waiting and we can support each other through the wait? I'll be 10dpo on the 22nd which would be amazing if I get a positive as it will be a year on from a loss.

Babydust to all x

Thanks@NW2021 just need to keep temping to see 😊 how are you feeling today?

NW2021 · 16/02/2021 09:28

@Fifi1086 that’s it keep temping! You’ve done all you can now, just got to wait and see 🤞🏻

I’m finally in double figures! 10dpo today. Still feel like af is going to arrived even though it’s too early for me (CD26 today) normally my cycles are CD28+. Last month I had very light spotting around CD26 but not had any today so far so good sign I suppose.

Still in a mood 😂 not feeling great. Getting shooting pains in my groin that come and go but apart from that nothing else. Temp still high & RHR stayed the same now. No increase.
Back in work today so hopefully the next 3 days will pass quickly!

Lowkeyloopy · 16/02/2021 13:45

Oh wow, I turn away from Mumsnet for a day and look at all the new people joining us! So exciting - welcome ladies! @nibblette @Coco987 @BlondieBlondie15 @caitvictoria ! I'm TTC baby no.1, first "official" cycle (last month we had a spontaneous unprotected moment, but we weren't actively trying yet!). Currently 6-7 DPO depending on which app you believe.

@BlondieBlondie15 - I'm so sorry to hear about your MCs. Two of them at 6 weeks is just so cruel. Sending you lots of hugs and good vibes for a BFP and a healthy PG! I'm with you on reading into every symptom. I've taken @NW2021' s approach of looking back at my symptoms for previous months (I've been tracking my cycle for a few months) to remind myself I got the same symptoms when not PG!

@nibblette I also admire your willpower! I'm totally with you on wanting to avoid knowing about a possible chemical though - the extra few days knowing perhaps isn't worth the potential stress and upset. Agree there is SO much information out there, and it's quite hard to know what to trust. The trouble is I'd like to just stick to the NHS website or something similar that I can trust - but that's like 10 minutes of reading then you're done! We want more! So random googling it is...

@coco987 Fingers crossed it's just imp bleeding, but as others have said, remember it's a fresh start if not. Allow yourself some time to be sad, but also make a list of all the things you can definitely do - at least for the next few weeks - that you wouldn't be able to. For me that would be wine (obvs), maybe a brutal workout or run and a really hot bath!

@1littlewren @JCQ2021 - Hope you're both doing well my cycle twins! Or I guess triplets Smile JCQ - that looks like a great confirmation of O on your chart! I've finally gotten used to taking my BBT and can tell it's going to be so useful. Temps staying high atm, though I had a little dip to the cover line at DPO 5 - could be nothing, but obviously I went straight to "implantation"! It would be too early, and not a big enough dip, I think.

@Fifi1086 I hope you get your spike soon! I'm envious of your EWCM (what a WEIRD sentence!). I barely got any this month, or at least.. I couldn't tell whether I was getting it because of all the DTD - an odd problem to have. We used PreSeed, so I hope that helped- has anyone else tried it?

@NW2021 You've made it to double figures! You Star! Seriously got my fingers crossed for you! Hopefully the early feeling of AF is a good sign...!

Phewf - I hope I got everybody! Haha. As for me and my "symptoms"... 6/7 DPO atm, felt very tired at 5-6 DPO (like eye-twitchingly tired), but much better today, slightly tender in left breast, but I know from last month that's kinda normal for me, my skin was cr*p immediately post O, but is now clearing up. Thinking the better skin might be the mid-luteal estrogen surge, which is perhaps consistent with my slight temp dip too. I was very bloated at 5-6 DPO too, but I guess that's just normal progesterone? I've had a bit of twinging too, but no major cramps. Oh and creamy CM, which increased today, but nothing major.

So I've done a fair amount of googling and learning about hormones! But tbh I don't feel very out of the ordinary - if I weren't TTC, I don't think I'd notice anything! Fingers crossed for the next few days... Fortunately work is super busy atm (this was a nice lunch break thing to do!) so that's a nice distraction!

Somatronic · 16/02/2021 14:24

Hi All, hope I can join this thread. I'm not telling people that we're TTC so this will hopefully be somewhere to vent and chat to people in a similar situation.

We've been trying since last September for our first baby. Just entering the 2WW now after what feels like a long week of ovulation testing and DTD. I'm so tired!

My gynaecologist says that it will be hard for me to have a baby so I'm not getting my hopes up but still feeling positive.

scandiontheloose · 16/02/2021 14:36

@Somatronic welcome to the TWW club.
I am always exhausted after the DTD marathon 😂

I'm in a similar situation as you. My doctor told me my chances to conceive are low due to my cancer treatments etc but I refuse to give up hope. Although saying that I'm going through a weird cycle where I'm currently 19 days late for my period and still testing negative. Trying to stay off Google cos that's just a rabbit hole 😂

Anyways welcome! It's always nice to have somewhere to vent about this TTC stuff especially if you're keeping it quiet for now xx

Somatronic · 16/02/2021 15:36

@scandiontheloose Thanks so much for that! And I'm sorry to hear that you have had to go through cancer treatment.

And 19 days late with negative tests sounds really tough and confusing. You poor thing.

It's not an ideal way for us to enter the world of TTC, being told it will possibly not happen, but it is what it is and I've convinced myself my doctor is wrong so that helps!

NW2021 · 16/02/2021 16:15

@Lowkeyloopy 5dpo was the day I had my dip in temp as well?! Well 5 days from what I was counting but could of been 5/6dpo depending on which app I went by. Fingers crossed it’s implantation!! 🤞🏻

@scandiontheloose @Somatronic that’s the exact attitude to have! Never give up hope! You just never know what can happen. I truly believe thinking positive and believing it will happen can help massively! 🤍
(I think I need to take my own advice here 🤣)

So my RHR has shifted up again! Started off at 58 this morning then 59 and now 60! I’m hoping these are all good signs. It’s doubling every couple of days 😳

Been reading up on 10dpo and they say after 10 days post O your progesterone starts to dip getting ready for AF so you start to feel a bit more normal and have a bit more energy etc. If you’re pregnant it stays high and the symptoms are more tiredness & bbt stays high!
Really interesting as I’ve looked back on my past symptoms that I’ve tracked and from 10/11dpo to AF arriving my bbt starts to dip and I’ve had more energy!
Be interesting to see now how I feel for the rest of the week.

Not that we need any more symptoms to spot 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ but something to maybe look for in that last week of tww girls 🥰

Lowkeyloopy · 16/02/2021 20:01

@Somatronic Welcome! We are here anytime for venting and chatting! I know what you mean about the tiredness...! The day after our DTD FW marathon I gave my DP jokey "come to bed" eyes and he looked at me like "you've got to be KIDDING me"

I'm sorry to hear you've been told you will struggle. Think positive - I know someone who was told by a doc she would struggle (I think because of PCOS) and so she started TTC earlier than planned - they fell PG after a few months! Hmm

@scandiontheloose I'm sorry to hear what you've been through as well, but your attitude is fantastic! Persevere, keep the hope and you just never know! Also well done for staying off Google - I fail miserably at that - what is your secret?!

@NW2021 I'm definitely going to look out for that! I don't mind symptom spotting when it's backed by science, haha. That RHR thing is SO interesting - fingers crossed it means something for you!

So after saying I wasn't feeling out of the ordinary, this evening I'm feeling cramping low down and on both sides, just like the beginning of AF, but it's a good 9 days too early for that... It's that feeling where you think you should nip to the loo to check if it's arrived. It looks like I tracked a bit of cramping last month, but not until around 12 DPO - a couple of days before period. Very strange...!

nibblette · 16/02/2021 21:02

I caved in and decided to test as was experiencing weird twinges, food aversions and very sore nipples and felt like I was developing psychosomatic symptoms. I honestly was expecting it to be negative but it turned positive very quickly. Have shown my partner the test and gave him a baby Yoda teddy. Was shaking and we both had a good happy cry and cuddle. 😭💜Hopefully this is the start of a long healthy pregnancy, I’ve never had a baby before and it doesn’t feel real right now. 😳

Anyone else in their 2ww?
NW2021 · 16/02/2021 21:11

@nibblette that is amazing!!! Massive Congratulations! Worth the wait for you 🤍 brilliant start to the week. How you’ve you been feeling in the days leading up to bfp?

@Lowkeyloopy how many dpo are you now? Maybe it’s implantation the niggles? I’ve been having lots of weird pains today going to loo thinking af is arriving but nothing there!!?

Fifi1086 · 16/02/2021 21:16

@nibblette congratulations!!! That is amazing to get a 2-3 at 15 or 16 dpo, so happy for you!! Def makes it worth waiting to test!!

@NW2021 I'm dying for you to test I just have a good feeling for you this month!!

I've had sore boobs today, more ewcm and cervix is high and really soft and open which I've never experienced before. Maybe I'm only ovulating today, who knows! Trying (unsuccessfully) to chill about it but I'm just dying to see those crosshairs 😂

On the other hand my poor 11 year old DD just got her first AF this evening. Feel so sorry for her!

NW2021 · 16/02/2021 21:28

@Fifi1086 don’t tempt me! 😂 I’m loosing the will! This is defo the worst part of the tww. I was so chilled the first week, the second week I’ve gone insane 😂
Keep symptom spotting then just passing it off as normal for this time of the month.
Must stay strong. 2 more days then I’ll test! 😬

I’ve tried the whole figuring out the cervix thing and have no idea! 🙈 but you’ve been DTD loads haven’t you, so even if you did O today you’ll have defo still caught it! 🤞🏻

Aww bless her! I remember my first Af! I was quite lucky because I was a bit older (I think I was 13?). It’s still such a weird time for a young girl 🤍 lots of chocolate needed! Hope the pains aren’t to bad for her 🤍

Fifi1086 · 16/02/2021 21:34

@NW2021 I know, I hope she doesn't get them bad! She seems fine now thankfully, but I feel absolutely ancient 😂😂😂

I had the mirena til about 2 years ago and was always checking my strings, so I'm fairly familiar of what it normally feels like, it's never been like this so hoping that's a good sign. And yes, lots of BDing to the point where I want ovulation confirmed so I can have a break 😂😂😂😂

Randomness12 · 16/02/2021 21:45

Aww congratulations @nibblette! That’s brilliant news!

I’m trying to keep relaxed this month, only on cd 7 so a while to go yet until the fertile window.

Couldn’t get a delivery of seeds quickly enough so not trying the seed cycling this month but looking forward to seeing if it makes a difference for you @NW2021

I’ve been on annual leave for a few days and have had some very lazy days which has been so lovely and very overdue.

Fifi1086 · 17/02/2021 11:10

Yay I got a temp rise!! I haven't got my crosshairs yet but I messed around with it and if I get the same temp or above tomorrow my ovulation day will show as cd20 which is when I felt I ovulated 😊

Anyone else in their 2ww?
NW2021 · 17/02/2021 12:03

@Randomness12 I was relaxed till about 7dpo then madness hit 😂 constantly symptom spotting. Hopefully be able to tell you if the seeding helped soon! I normally spot in the days leading up to AF and I haven’t had any at the moment! So I’m wondering if they’ve helped keep progesterone high? Who knows 🤷🏼‍♀️ But good sign so far.

@Fifi1086 this is fab news!! And even better it’s the day you felt you ovulated! I’m a believer in listening to your body just as much as all the tracking we do. I defo felt I ovulated on the Friday then got my spike on the Saturday

I feel silly saying all these symptoms now in case i test and it’s negative 🙈 but I’ve completely gone off eating ‘good’ food. I just want crap/naughty food (normal leading to Af)
Last night I was so hot in bed! Never happens! Even OH said this morning he climbed in bed last night and thought I felt really hot. Woke up this morning and bbt highest it’s been! No dip yet. RHR has gone up another bpm again as well today. And overall I feel like shit 🙈 cramping has gone now but I have no energy in work! I just want my bed.
I keep thinking it’s just in my head and doesn’t mean anything my af will still arrive. Any way 11dpo girls. 2 more sleeps to go.

How’s everyone else feeling?

NW2021 · 17/02/2021 12:04

I forgot to send my chart 🙈 what do we think?! When does everyone else get the dip in bbt before af? I’m sure by now mine should start coming down unless my cycle is going to be a long one (or I’m pregnant! 😳)

Anyone else in their 2ww?
Anyone else in their 2ww?
Fifi1086 · 17/02/2021 12:28

@NW2021 wow!! Those all sound like seriously positive symptoms esp alongside that lovely temp rise! I really really hope it's a BFP for you and I only hope at the end of my cycle I've your willpower 😂😂 I don't know how you aren't testing!

Also, excuse my ignorance but what is seeding?

NW2021 · 17/02/2021 12:54

@Fifi1086 I’ve got to a point now where I’m so scared to test 😂 Last week I thought testing to early and seeing a bfn would be worse than waiting now I’ve waited this feels just as anxious!! I’ve just got to remember what will be will be.

So I was reading a book called ‘period power’ and there was a part talking about seeding cycle I think it’s called. Helps with oestrogen & progesterone. Where you take different seeds at the 2 stages of your cycle. I’ve attached a pic save me typing it all.
But I’ve been having sesame seeds & sunflower seeds every day in my luteal phase. (I didn’t do the seeds in follicular phase I forgot!)

Janey3090 · 17/02/2021 13:12

Hi all, hoping I can join this thread?

This is my first ever TWW. I'm due to get married in May, and though we were going to wait until after to TTC, with all the uncertainly due to COVID about our wedding we have decided to start now - basically we have become too impatient to wait, but I'm 30 and DP is 34 so we just really wanted to get started. Came off my pill in December, had my first period, now been OPK testing and had my LH surge on Monday, and believe I must have ovulated yesterday (new to all this though!)

It's very exciting as it's so new, obviously don't expect it to happen on our first try, but I guess you never know. Smile

Will be great to have people to talk too as we haven't told anyone! xx

Fifi1086 · 17/02/2021 13:47

Welcome @Janey3090 ! You're basically on the same dpo as me so that's exciting! Also getting married in May and decided the exact same thing! This is my first "proper" cycle after coming off the pill.

@NW2021 oh that's interesting I had never heard of that! I'll def give it a go!

Janey3090 · 17/02/2021 13:55

Hi, wow, we have a lot in common then! Don't know about you, but I'm already feeling so impatient about these next two weeks lol. It's so nice to have something exciting to focus on though isn't it, away from the wedding stress. After being hesitant about it for a while there's something quite exciting about the possibility of being pregnant at my wedding too. Is this your first wedding date or did you postpone from last year? xx
Fifi1086 · 17/02/2021 14:12

@Janey3090 yeah definitely good to have something to distract! Our wedding was meant to be May last year and obviously didn't happen. We rescheduled for this May, and I'm hoping we will be able to have 25 at it. I'm in Ireland and at the min max amount of people at a gathering is 6 🙈

We have booked to have our reception then next March. So all going well, I'll hopefully be pregnant on one of those days 😂😂

Did you have to reschedule?

Oh that's more relaxed than here in England, so fingers crossed that's a good sign it will increase for you. I'm just hoping I can have 15 now

That's such a good idea! How many were originally invited to your wedding?

We were originally booked for June last year, moved to October (thought things would be ok by then), now early May. We have said we will do similar if needed - a ceremony, then reception next year. We always wanted to TTC after being married, just so we could relax on honeymoon etc, but can't keep waiting forever! Guessing that's a similar situation to you?

Fingers crossed you will be pregnant by then, that would be wonderful! Smile Flowers

JCQ2021 · 17/02/2021 16:07

@Coco987 stay positive and allow a moment to yourself. We don’t see it but we go through very difficult highs and lows that sometimes can be hard to handle, a moment to cry or to just want to be alone is very much welcomed. Always think about you and don’t forget about your needs! I like to stay positive even when things are not going as planned and like you and @nibblette said, a new month a new opportunity.

@NW2021 I am doing all right! I think lol
I was checking my calendar this morning and I am starting to think I Ovulated late this month. I don’t want to have big hopes yet! I either 8DPO or 7DPO, I can’t be sure! I only know I covered all the days with the shagalicious (I really love the word😂) and I am at least one week down of the TWW. My temp keeps going up and this morning I woke up with flu like symptoms. The whole thing of the Coronavirus is also worrying because I don’t know if my symptoms are PMS, Covid or pregnancy.

How are you doing?
