Hi all,

Is there any others currently in their 2ww?

OH works away so we could only DTD 2-3 days before O. So I don't know whether I'm that hopeful. Plus it's our first month trying for #2.

So is there anyone else currently waiting and we can support each other through the wait? I'll be 10dpo on the 22nd which would be amazing if I get a positive as it will be a year on from a loss.

@NW2021 yay delighted you got your confirmation! It's nice to get it and already be a couple of days into dpo then! No unfortunately no confirmation here, had another dip this morning. Hope I ovulate soon

@Fifi1086 just comparing my chart and I actually had 3 dips in a row just before my big spike for ovulation. So hopefully that means ovulation will be in the next couple of days for you! 🤍

Oh @NW2021 thank you for that, that's reassured me a bit! Just had another flippin flashing smiley (I feel like they're taunting me 😂) although the test stick is much darker than it has been all week so hopefully that's a good sign

Catching up here. @NW2021 - no worries re rant! We all need to vent sometimes and that's what we're all here for Sorry to hear you and the Mr were feeling the pressure a bit - bless him. I’m CD12 now and have started DTD every day too - expecting O on CD15 (Thurs). DP seems to be ok for now (can’t believe his luck tbh..) but I can imagine if we were doing this once a week for months, the pressure would be pretty tough. Lovely to hear you’ve now got him around for a bit longer than expected so you can just enjoy each other’s company in the TWW without all the TTC pressure!

@1littlewren Yes sounds like we’re synced up! I lol’d when you said you had already DTD twice this cycle - so had we! Hows your FW going?

I'm feeling weirdly more chilled now that I’m I'm actually in the FW and all I can really do now is DTD..! The waiting was annoying. I’ve started using Premom to track the OPK lines. Started way too early so there was nothing to see for a few days, but got my first line that looked a bit dark this afternoon, so am hoping the apps are correct and O will be on CD15/Thursday as expected! My temp also seems pretty steady and low. Fingers crossed all the signs actually line up and make sense and all the tracking pays off!

@Fifi1086 - Fingers crossed that you get confirmation of O soon or are in the TWW! I don’t use the smiley tests - are they OPKs, so your line this morning should mean O is a couple of days away? It’s so tricky reading those charts isn’t it. I’m sure mine isn’t completely accurate because I often take my temp at v different times. This morning I woke up randomly at 5.30am so took it then because I knew I wouldn’t get another 4 hours sleep. It was 36.3 (I’m quite warm..!), but when I took it again out of interest 2 hours later when I actually woke up it was 36.7! A big difference, so I’m glad I went with the earlier temp.

@rebecca2710 Welcome! Really hope those symptoms are the real deal for you! They definitely sound promising, but try to wait a few more days or you’ll bankrupt yourself with those tests! I had a lot of trouble sleeping last month and turns out it was totally in my head... Definitely going to try in the next TWW not to even pay attention to “symptoms” until after 7 or 8 DPO as even if implantation has happened by then, the HCG is unlikely to be rising enough to cause symptoms. Going to be SO difficult though!

I was missing for a few days, but I am back now!! A bit busy with everything at the mo and with the shagalicious hahaha!...really I am already one day before O by Flo’s prediction and my prediction too!
Fingers crossed ladies! We have been busy since last Monday.

Any more positives? If everything goes well I will enter my TWW tomorrow. I have done 4 Ovulation tests and nothing is coming up, it’s like it doesn’t want to happen this month. I think I was doing it wrong and I will try another one later today.

@Jaylay did you test again? I just noticed you posted on 1st of the month. Let us know! ☺️

Yeh I tested again with a digital on the day AF was due. Thanks for asking. I'm currently around 5 weeks pregnant (I think) I still have to phone GP though. Kind of doesn't feel real yet.

Hi @JCQ2021 - I was just wondering whether we would hear from you soon! Good to hear you have been keeping busy, haha.

Have you been doing the OPKs more than once a day? A few friends (and people on MN) have said they only got a positive when testing a few times a day. The surge might be shorter than we think. Plus one friend only got her positive 4 days after the date when doctors said she must’ve conceived! Very confusing.

I’m going to do three a day for the next few days. Thankfully I’m not using the plastic ones but the cheapie little ones off Amazon (Femometer) so I don’t have to worry about chucking out loads of plastic! I’m hoping to get a darker line this evening / tomorrow morning to let me know I’m on track 🤞 I gather they’re not always reliable to confirm ovulation on their own though so I wouldn’t worry if you don’t get a positive.

@Jaylay Congratulations! That’s lovely news. I don’t think I would be able to stop myself calling the GP asap in my excitement to get booked in! Do you mind me asking if you are waiting for a particular reason? Or waiting for it to sink in? I gather from others’ experiences that it might not sink in for a few weeks yet - maybe not until the 12 week scan!

Yeh I'm going to call tomorrow. I'm not really putting it off. It wont make my appointment with midwife any sooner. If I remember from my first its around 8 weeks then scan at 12. I think I'll pay for an early scan around 9 weeks. I done this with my first too. Hoping to announce at my wee girls third birthday in march if all goes well 🎉🤞💕

Ah I see, you’ve got the experience with your first to go on! I would definitely want to get an early scan too I think - I don’t think I could bear all the waiting! Oh what a lovely plan, hope your little girl sees a little brother or sister as an early birthday present!

@Lowkeyloopy I have been testing once a day, I started last Thursday and it was showing nothing. The lines never got darker on any of them. I don’t want to use much the OPKs, to avoid feeling disappointed. I want to follow my calendar and Flo’s. I also check my BBT and I have been keeping an eye on my discharge, funny enough last month was more obvious than this month. One thing I am noticing as well is a little bit of pain near my right hip and I remember feeling a little bit of pain last month near my left hip. It was a day or so before my ovulation.

I wanted to give it a try this month to see what happens. I think testing in the morning was not a good time. I am going to test around 6:00pm to see what I get.

Thought I’d share this since we’re chatting OPKs! (Open full pic to see properly.) It’s amazing how much it can change in the course of a day! This is the strongest line I’ve seen - I just went running and dancing into the room where my DP was working - so happy you would think I’d taken a pregnancy test!

Tempted to take another one around 10pm to see if I get my peak then. If not, I think I’m going to assume this evening’s test counts as my peak because this is my first cycle using the Premom app and it says the app learns what your LH ratio is (ie what low, high and peak look like for you) over several cycles.

Does anyone else use Premom? What do you think (of the lines / plan)?!

Hmm it’s not letting me post the pic - trying again! If not you may need to take my word for it - barely any line this morning, now really quite strong!

I’m cd33, tested again tonight and still BFN despite no spotting for AF as would be usual. 34 days is my longest ever so my body is obviously messing with me this month which I could really do without!! I just want AF to show up, disappear and move on to the next FW.

@Randomness12 yeah I also tested again this morning. 6 days late now but still getting negative tests so I think I'm on a super long bloody cycle too,BBT is still elevated though, my boobs look bigger and bloody hurt at times. Different hurt to a pre period hurt, pains feels like it did last time I was Pregnant. I keep getting a weird sensation in the left lower side of my tummy like my tummy is being pulled inwards if that makes sense and I'm finding it increasingly difficult to sleep on my front now. I keep thinking to myself maybe this time I'm one of those women who don't get a positive test until they're so far along. In retrospect though I'm wanting it that bad my bodies trying to convince me I am when I probably aren't!

@Lowkeyloopy thanks for posting that pic, I find it all super interesting as it's something I've never done. Stoopid question but... how do you temp? Are you just using a regular thermometer? Foreheads, armpits....bum (lol) ??

@HopingForOurRainbowBaby hmmm sounds suspicious to me if you're having lots of symptoms but not AF. Hang in there, you never know!

Just to confuse me further... this is a photo of my one test at 7am this morning in different types of lighting! 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m going to assume it was my peak, but a good reminder not to overly rely on these apps and tests I guess! Also a good reminder for me to ignore all the guidance saying to only test in the afternoon - I might have missed this otherwise.

@1littlewren Not a silly question! I had to do some googling / reading around it. You use a special BBT thermometer that measures to another decimal point than a normal one I think. I use a “Femometer” one which I bought on Amazon for £9.99. You can use it vaginally or orally - I do it orally. There’s enough weirdness that comes with TTC without sticking a plastic stick up my hoohah every morning 😂 But totally a preference thing - I think some people say they get a more reliable reading that way.

@Randomness12 and @HopingForOurRainbowBaby Keeping fingers crossed for you both! Hope you can find something to distract yourself. And sounds silly but I often find exercise will bring on AF a little early when I’m due. Maybe a brisk walk, run or exercise class would help (and also take your mind off it a bit?) Keep us posted!

@Randomness12 @HopingForOurRainbowBaby that is so annoying AF still hasn’t arrived and bfn. It’s not over till AF arrives though! I’ve read on here what some women don’t get that bfp till week after af due! So don’t loose hope.

@1littlewren I’m surprisingly ok. I do keep thinking ‘is it our month?’ but not crazy symptom spotting yet. I was so tried yesterday & just wanted to eat crap but that’ll be the drop in oestrogen and increase in progesterone after O. I’m only around 3dpo so not experiencing anything. I’m expecting my madness to begin at the weekend 😂😂

Day 7 of flashing smileys. I hate that smug happy face now 😂😂 guys does anyone use bbt adjuster? One day a week I'm up 3 hours earlier than usual and if I use a bbt adjuster it makes a massive difference but I don't know how reliable this is, mixed opinions online about it

@1littlewren @NW2021no, crazy lady is still waiting to come out. I don’t seem to get a positive for O just yet! And my BBT temperature is still low so I know O has not occurred. Today is supposed to be the day 😂🙈

I tested last night and no, not darker. Well, maybe a tiny bit but not enough to think it is. I am testing again in a couple of hours, I am trying at different times. I am working from home this week so I have to control myself from not testing every hour hahaha! See, crazy lady is around the corner.

I normally feel some changes but this month is very different. I know we should alway considers the O to be any day, not just when it is predicted. Crossing all my fingers and waiting to join the madness in a couple of days lol

@NW2021 So I was expecting O on Thursday, but given the positive tests last night / this morning, it’s shifted forward to tomorrow, which would be CD 14. Will keep an eye on temp in the next couple of days.

TMI but I don’t seem to be getting much CM atm / it’s kinda hard to tell because of all the precautionary DTD! 🙈 So I’m glad I got the OPKs otherwise I wouldn’t be v sure of the O day. (Though I woke up with good skin this morning. That’s usually a sign I’m about to O. Then my skin plummets close to AF! 😂) Does anyone track CM? How about cervical position? I gave that a go but find it a bit confusing!!

@JCQ2021 Hang in there.. my line was non-existent (and I was losing hope..) until suddenly it appeared in a matter of hours! I also drink loads of water normally so find it difficult to cut back and hold for 4 hours, but when I did that yesterday (and felt pretty dehydrated!), that’s when my line got dark.

My crazy (or loopy) lady is also just around the corner. She was with me earlier actually, when I picked up some pomengranate juice for DP while I was in the supermarket because it’s meant to help sperm motility. And a pineapple to help implantation - must be nonsense, but couldn’t hurt right?! 🙈

@NW2021 Oh that was my turn to have a ramble then, woops! Are you having a nice time with DP? How are you distracting yourself over the next couple of weeks? I will need work to get busy or some other project I think..!
