Hi all,

Is there any others currently in their 2ww?

OH works away so we could only DTD 2-3 days before O. So I don't know whether I'm that hopeful. Plus it's our first month trying for #2.

So is there anyone else currently waiting and we can support each other through the wait? I'll be 10dpo on the 22nd which would be amazing if I get a positive as it will be a year on from a loss.

Thank you! Il test again tomorrow to make sure. Symptoms were sore boobs for last 3 days and slight lower cramping. Fingers crossed for everyone xx

Morning ladies, I hope you're all doing great!

CD1 for me today, I did think it was yesterday but that was just spotting pre AF so I've read that's not classed as CD1.
Having a decaf coffee while trawling through work emails but still on google at the same time re TTC! (Can't seem to get my mind off it)!
Is anyone else around the same time as me? If so, what are your plans for the coming cycle?

Hi @Jaylay - welcome! Ooh yes I can definitely see a line! And I think there is colour too so probably not an evap. Definitely take another one tomorrow and see if it’s darker! 🤞

@BWaiting Snap! I’m CD 1 also. Feeling positive and totally calm for the first time in two weeks 😂 My plan is to start doing OPKs twice a day from around CD 5/6 when my AF ends, then 3 times a day as soon as I see any line at all, as I missed my peak last month. I got a box of 50 cheapies from Amazon! And will log BBT every day (though I forgot this morning - good start..).

Otherwise (I love a list...):

• going to keep taking pregnacare;
• I’ve nearly totally cut out caffeine anyway (a green tea every other day);
• will keep trying to do do yoga or a walk every day, plus some more vigorous exercise like running or HIIT when I can;
• will get a better sleep routine (not scrolling mumsnet till midnight)!
• keep eating healthily - OD’ing on fruit and veg and as much variety as poss!

Oh and I guess also DTD on a regular basis! Quite important... Will aim for every other day until the FW then every day. DP is thrilled..! Have ordered Pre-Seed to help..!

In the meantime though, looking forward to a few glasses of red at the weekend (I’ll end dry Jan a day or two early - drinking at my desk on Monday morning wouldn’t really be wise...).

How about others at the beginning of their cycle and approaching the FW? What are your own lists / plans / thoughts? @NW2021 you must be approaching the FW now?

@Lowkeyloopy I love a list, very organised and you have everything planned out! I like how DTD was an afterthought at the end haha. Once my FW window had finished last month my OH was a little disappointed but I just couldn't think about DTD again for a week ☺️

I'm looking at my Amazon basket and have put everything under the sun in there for conception!
I have:
OPKs cheapies
CB OPK advanced
Conceive plus
Wellman vits for him

I would like to test a lot too as with my weird cycles I think I missed it last month.
Is there much need for me to use the CB if I'm going to be testing twice a day with the cheapies?? I am worried that I won't be able to interpret the lines properly or miss the FW and might stress myself out as I've not used OPK before.....

@Lowkeyloopy CD7 today so FW starts next week, Mr gets home on Weds! 😬 my app says I’m due to ovulate on the Sat (6th) so my plan is to DTD every day Weds/Thursday & Fri then every other day from Sunday. Mr doesn’t know of my plan (trying to not have to much pressure on Ttc this month) 😂 but he’s been away for a month so I’m sure they’ll be no complaints!
My ovulation date moved last month because my cycle was longer so I wanna try make sure I catch it either side of what’s predicted.
I’m just going to judge it by temp & CM.
Can defo feel like the oestrogen is rising and progesterone is dipping. I was completely wiped out at the start of the week after AF but starting to have more energy now which is a good sign oestrogen is gearing up for next week 🤞🏻

Great to see more BFPs!! Guys which app would you recommend for cycle tracking? At the min I have FF, Premom and Flo and all giving me different ovulation dates. I want to delete all but one but which is best?

I use flo and it seemed to be the most accurate for me. But I guess everyones bodies are different.

@Fifi1086 I use flo and glow and tbh their predictions are fairly similar. Flo tend to give me an earlier date for my ovulation but apart from that they usually quite spot on with AF etc. I update them both with the same info etc just to see if they differ in their predictions. I track my O date with CM tracking and flo seems to be more accurate with that prediction

I can see the second line clearly, but try again in 2 days. That is what they normally recommend!

CD2 for me today, not feeling any pain or anything to be honest! Lol. Even the flow is very moderate. I am counting the days to start again hahaha! I am loving the chat. How are you doing today ladies?

@Fifi1086 I started using Flo last month and I am liking it! It is quite accurate with my ovulation dates and AF, reason why I don’t want to go and check others. Before I went by my own count and BBT. I think you should go for the one who has the best prediction of your cycles.

@Fifi1086 I use Natural cycles. Used it for a good couple of years so it’s pretty good with my AF & ovulation. 9 times out of 10 AF arrives on the day it’s predicted.
Go with the one you most like the layout etc. Easy to read and mange then & more likely to remember to bbt! Xx

@BWaiting So I haven’t used the CB OPKs yet - I want to stick to the cheap papery ones without all the disposable plastic if I possibly can, but will maybe give them a go in March if I struggle to get a positive in Feb. I would think the CB OPKs might be overkill if you’re testing regularly with the cheapies, but I’m no expert tbh - do others have a view?

Yeh I love a list! Totally depends on personality but I find them calming - if I write everything out and make a plan, then I can kinda just relax, knowing I’ve done everything and the plan is in motion! Though for others (including my DP) a list might stress them out!

@NW2021 Sounds like a great plan - I’m sure your DP will be very happy! Haha. What does he do for work that keeps him away so much? I hope you’re ok and staying sane in lockdown! Great that you’re super in-tune with your hormones too. Fascinating all the science really isn’t it!

@Fifi1086 So I’m now using three which is kinda overkill but I like them for different reasons:

Clue - used for several months now to get to know my cycle, knowing we wanted to start TTC at some point. By far the easiest app to log and read symptoms, but not super geared towards fertility - not sure it’s v good for amending its O prediction based on the data I’ve logged.

Flo - Used for one month. I really like the layout and all the articles! It had my O at CD14 (like Clue) but seems to have learned from the symptoms like EWCM last month and adjusted to CD15 for this month, even though cycle length is the same at 28 days, which is reassuring!

Fertility Friend - the app looks like something out of the 80s - do not understand why they haven’t sorted that! So feels clunky but the charts are clearly a favourite among TTCers for a reason - v comprehensive and clear.

I’m also considering getting Premom, but you have to pay for it right? What’s your experience been? Don’t hugely mind having multiple apps for now- I want to play them off against each other! Plus it’s lockdown - there’s only so much Netflix I can watch 🤷🏻‍♀️ Might as well log my data!

@Fifi1086 Oh ps my friend who is 6 months pregnant used Flo and liked it and got pregnant on cycle 4. She also took BBT readings. Both v helpful having recently come off the pill apparently. She also DTD every day for 10 days in the middle of that cycle though, because she wasn’t sure about O date - so they were both knackered but successful!

Incidentally she also took a FRER 3 days before her period was due and it was a BFN, then she re tested when 3 days late and it was a BFP. A lesson to us all not to trust those FRERs too much I guess!

I think I'm out yet again periods not due until Monday but there isn't even a whisper of a faint line on any of the Pregnancy tests I've taken, plus given we last DTD 3 weeks ago surely there would be at least a faint line by now if I was. I had a really good feeling this time as well. Lots of pinching and pulling in my lower left side, boobs really painful, nipples have been stinging like mad, and lots of lower back ache although that's probably from lifting and moving people at work. Looks like I'm back into hoping and praying that my OH gets sent down here with work next time I'm on my fertile week although if last year is anything to go by I doubt it

Thanks so much everyone I really appreciate all the advice! Flo seems like a winner then. You don't need to pay for Premom only for the premium features. I like it because you can upload opk pics and it analyses how strong they are

@Lowkeyloopy I didn’t even get a hint of a smiley face on the CB digital sticks, I got a ‘high’ reading on a cheapie stick and was using them daily. Obviously I must have ovulated as I’m now pregnant but tbh I wouldn’t bother with the CB ones! But I was worried that there was something wrong with me due to the non smiley 😂 I very nearly bought an ovusense a couple of weeks ago, but thought I’d wait til payday... must’ve been a sign 😂

@Lowkeyloopy I’m completely the same, I need a list! My head goes in to a spin if I don’t right everything down 😂
He’s in the military and just moved in to a new post which means he works more like shift work (away for 4 weeks, home for 2 weeks etc) it’s crap at times but works better than him just being home at weekends (like he used to be)

Just about staying sane 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ Can’t believe we’re still in Jan! This lockdown seems to feel longer than any others!

Bloody hell for friend DTD for 10 days straight! 😳 they must of been knackered 😂 did the trick though!!

@Brightspark12 I’m so glad you said that! Because when I used the ov sticks I couldn’t tell if it was high or not, never seemed to increase, so I kept thinking something was wrong! I did give up on them after a few days though 🙈 haven’t got the patience’s for them I don’t think 😂 x

Update. It's CD 1. AF has finally decided to show her face. Didn't really stand a chance this month as Flo has just updated my ovulation days and it clearly happened way later than I'd thought.

New plan... just have sex. Lots. Hope for the best.

Actually feel ok. Just glad to have an end to that cycle tbh. Although, majorly annoyed at my body as she has played some mean old tricks this month!

@1littlewren awww no!! 😭 that’s exactly what happened to me! Cycle was longer than predicted so when AF did show it pushed my ovulation back which meant I defo didn’t catch it.
So annoying when it does that!

Hence my new approach lots & lots of sex either side of the date 😂 I’m not taking any chances this cycle!

Least AF is here now & you can enjoy your weekend with plenty of chocolate! And focus on next month 🤍

That's my plan too, just keep going for the whole fertile window and hope for the best 🤞🏼😂
