@Sparkles512

Trying to keep my mind occupied in lock down life any tips? When is everyone testing or are you waiting for AF to appear/not appear?
I'm going to try to wait I think, until the 26th anyway. See if AF appears in the meantime. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ. Let's see if I manage that 🀣

As for lockdown... LOTS of Netflix. In the spring I was into quite a good routine of getting up and going for an early morning run, and it helped as it felt I'd achieved something in my day... can't face the cold at the moment though.

AF is due on 31st which is a Sunday.... DH wants to be at home when I test so unless I do it on the Sunday I will have to wait until the next Saturday due to DH work commitments and I'm not sure if I can wait that long haha.
But on the other hand it's just a waste of a test if AF makes an appearance on the Sunday/Monday.
Puzzles are a great idea! I used to love su-doku but haven't played it since we last went on holiday nearly 2 years ago!
I also keep adding baby items to my Amazon basket which I really need to stop as I get disheartened every month when AF makes an appearance. Although we have 2 close friends due their babies in July so at least I have an excuse ish to be looking at baby stuff!

Yes I'd not want to wait that long either! Surely on the day should give you some accuracy, and some hope even if it's negative if there's no bleeding.

CookieMonster3001 · 18/01/2021 12:22

4DPO and I feel like this TWW is draggginggg so badly!! Annoyingly its super quiet at work as well so not even keeping me fully occupied. Not due on till next Saturday so this is going to take some time! Gonna try my best not to test at all until at least next week.

glow92 · 18/01/2021 12:51

Supposed in TWW from tomorrow but since I posted on Saturday still no rises on OPK's 😞. So either in my window and haven't ovulated or my cycles haven't settled yet and it's still to come. So frustrating and confusing!!!

Sparkles512 · 18/01/2021 13:02

This month is really dragging!
I'm on furlough and we had to isolated due to husband working with a guy who has covid.
9 days in and my husband developed covid symptoms and has now received a positive test so at least another 10 days in isolation!
Our dogs will be going stir crazy and we will be so bored of each other as we usually both work 6 days a week!
I guess we need to enjoy our time together and hopefully we make a baby in the process haha.
I think I will be testing on 30th/31st January if I can wait that long!

trackiesandasmokeyeye · 18/01/2021 13:27

@Sparkles512 - that's rough! I love my partner but it's tough spending quite this much time together - no one was made for that. We are lucky to both still be working, and working in different rooms at that. I hope your husband isn't too poorly and you stay well x

Amyisabel93 · 18/01/2021 13:31

I'm 6 DPO and my cervix is medium high and very soft! I've had lots of creamy CM. I have sore boobs and backache - though this could be PMS. My period is due in 5-7 days (my cds vary from 27-29 days).

Does anyone else monitor cervical position. I normally do it to feel for a fertile cervix and to feel when my period is coming

trackiesandasmokeyeye · 18/01/2021 13:58

@Amyisabel93 - I'm far too new to this, I wouldn't even know what I was feeling for...

I'm now 5/6 DPO, had some stomach cramps last night and mucus still creamy - doesn't feel like it's normally like this but at the same time I'm wondering if I'm imagining it (not imagining the cramps, but that could be anything... could be something I ate I guess).

Amyisabel93 · 18/01/2021 14:03

@trackiesandasmokeyeye I used to do cervical position as a natural contraceptive method for the past 18 months, it was a blessing but now it's a curse because I'm checking for any sign of pregnancy πŸ˜‚ fingers crossed we both get a BFP this month, do you know when you're going to do a test?

printedlace · 18/01/2021 14:56

I've never checked cervix position either but does sound interesting that you can tell so much by checking! The human body is amazing!

I’m currently on cd24, two days ago I had a stitch like feeling, yesterday mild period pain and now today I’m getting a stabbing/shooting pains in which feels like my left ovary area? I don’t have the pain constantly just every now and again, Anybody had the same?

rosierose10 · 18/01/2021 15:29

Can I join please? It was our first proper month ttc, got a static smiley on Saturday and confirmed that with a positive boots OPK. Didn't have much, if any EWCM this month compared to last month though but used pressed. I've felt so bloated all weekend. I'm busy at work this week and next so that should keep my mind off constantly thinking about it. My cycles are around 39 days which is shit as it seems like so long away until our next try. Got my fingers crossed for everyone 🀞

scandiontheloose · 18/01/2021 16:01

@rosierose10

I feel ya. My cycles are a bit irregular since taking my nexaplanon out last August and makes the TTC even more tricky. Who knew making a baby is so damn difficult πŸ™ˆ
I'm WFH so it's keeping my mind busy during days but evenings I am definitely partial to some TWW/DPO video binging.

printedlace · 18/01/2021 17:33

@scandiontheloose ohh snap! I had my nexplanon removed in August too! It definitely plays havoc with your body! Xx

OP posts:
scandiontheloose · 18/01/2021 17:41

@printedlace
A genuinely thought my cycle would've been back to normal by now. It used to be so lovely and regular πŸ˜‚ now it's all over the place. Flipping annoying when you think "ah that's it, finally a stable regular cycle" and then boom hello 42 day cycle with weird mid cycle spotting.

xem87 · 18/01/2021 17:45

This month is dragging! No symptoms yet for me really except really weird clear dreams which I've heard some people say πŸ˜‚ not sure why!
Really hoping this month for positive after chemical last month and hoping it doesn't happen again πŸ™ xx

I know! Something you try and avoid for such a long time and then you want it so much! I'm not going to be able to try next month as I've got a follow up gynae appt for colonoscopy and biopsy for cin2 (nurse said it was fine to start ttc as I'm being followed up every 6 months for 2 years rather than lletz) and appt is on/around when ovulation should be so going to be a long wait if it doesn't happen this month

scandiontheloose · 18/01/2021 18:30

@rosierose10 aw hate when that happens. I've had my last 3 colposcopy appointments right in the middle of my fertile window and had to wait after it was all clear. The nurse said that we are ok to TTC but I had this horrible image of doctor doing the examination and seeing the proof of TTC life at first hand πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ so we waited πŸ˜‚ gawd just cringing myself even thinking about it πŸ˜‚ sorry I'm a TMI kinda person πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

rosierose10 · 18/01/2021 18:56

@scandiontheloose I never thought about that 🀣 I thought about postponing the appointment for 3 weeks but I think I'm just going to go and get it over with, did you find it messed up your cycle that month? Not sure if having the biopsy and the bleed that comes afterwards will affect my cycle at all. (Also just realised my last post I said colonoscopy, obviously meant colposcopy!)

scandiontheloose · 18/01/2021 19:03

@rosierose10 ahh not to worry I got what you meant tho. I've never really had a bad bleeding after it and don't think it has affected my cycles. Even after biopsies etc, just sore and uncomfortable for a good few days which obvs puts a wee damper on the TTC when you can barely sit down never mind DTD πŸ˜‚ I tried to move one of the appointments recently but with the COVID and the clinic only open for odd days here and there I just CBA with the hassle so just took the first appointment they gave me πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

CookieMonster3001 · 19/01/2021 11:36

@Amyisabel93 I tried to monitor my cervix once, but I had no idea what I was feeling for and gave up in the end. Felt the same everytime lol.

5DPO and nothing much going on. Stabby booby pains, cramping and feeling very wet with creamy CM down there (TMI!). Can't be anything to do with pregnancy as I wont have even implanted yet. Why does the TWW feel like 10 years. Still 10 days till AF is due. Blergh

Amyisabel93 · 19/01/2021 12:10

@CookieMonster3001 it's such a long wait 😣 I'm currently 7dpo, and 5-7 days until AF, depending on how long my cycle decides to be this month. I have back ache, sore boobs, I'm tearful and I want to eat lots, but that could be AF too. So it's torture not knowing haha

printedlace · 19/01/2021 12:29

I wish there was a clear set of symptoms, to distinguish between AF and conception!

OP posts:
CookieMonster3001 · 19/01/2021 13:18

@printedlace I wish that too! Actually if we are wishing for things, I wish we could test immediately after ovulation to find out lol
