Hi all, so this is my 2nd TWW / symptom spotting thread ❤️

Ovulation day for me is today; 14th Jan.
wondered if anybody else is early in their TWW or fancies keeping me company throughout?

Would love to hear your symptoms / stories 🥰

@trackiesandasmokeyeye snap I've been trying to feel my cervix too and not sure what I'm looking for really. Like how far up am I supposed to get with my sausage fingers?
Apparently if the cervix feels like the tip of your nose you're not preggos but if it feels soft like your lips you are. Go figure how accurate that is when I can even tell what I'm supposed to be looking for 🙃🙃

@scandiontheloose well I can't feel a nose or lips so it's not helping me - god help me if my OH walks in on me, he'll think I'm just going to town on myself casually in the middle of the day with a strange expression on my face

I swear my cervix must be up my rib cage cos I can't seem to get to it. Not sure if that's a good sign or if I'm useless at this. I suspect the latter tbh.

@scandiontheloose yeah tbh I'm the same - like ooh my cervix must be high and maybe I'm wrong about AF.... probably not, more like I'm stupid!

@scandiontheloose @trackiesandasmokeyeye I mean who am I kidding I am still going to test tomorrow lol. I read a really interesting post earlier about HCG rising and so in theory I could have implanted late and have a low baseline of HCG means it will take a while for it to double enough to be detected (Im kidding myself I know its prolyl still gonna be a BFN but one can have hope and all!)

@CookieMonster3001 ahhh you're a girl after my own heart. I test way too much but also I keep thinking that there is always a possibility of a late implantation etc.
I read the thread, looks interesting. Wonder how you'd find out your baseline HCG levels?

@scandiontheloose I don't think you can, and tbh it probably changes every month because our bodies love to run us around in circles. When I used the calculator that was linked, I just used an average of 3 and even based on that, it says that my HCG levels would even get to a 12 until 13DPO if I implanted on 9DPO (most common day to implant - I also brown spotting that day) so who knows!

I really need to step away from the internet.

I know I didn't have any spotting so couldn't say for sure what day I would've implanted. Based on the cramping severity most likely around 10DPO but again it's pure guess work.

AF due by Thursday/Friday so I'll know soon enough 😂 until then I'll probs keep testing every morning until she comes 😂😂 I'm fully aware I'm nuts 🤦🏻‍♀️😂

Yes I think I'll have to take a break from google tonight as well. Booked a double yoga class to keep me busy for a couple of hours so I don't spend all night googling CM pics like a mad person 🙃🙃

@scandiontheloose yep I have become a total addict, to the point where when I hear OH come downstairs I frantically minimize what I am looking at as if I'm watching porn or something. Oh well!! we still have tomorrow morning lol

@scandiontheloose @CookieMonster3001 so this is interesting... have I banged on before about the dodgy test I had years ago? I will anyway....

First time I ever took a test was when I wanted to quit my job and I tested just in case so as not to loses enhanced maternity rights by leaving if I was pregnant. I got a digital because I didn't want to be confused by evaps that I'd heard about and I thought when it says NOT PREGNANT I'll know. Except it bloody said pregnant didn't it, 1-2 weeks. So I panicked, bought about 10 more tests, all negative, went to the doctors who thought I was mad and couldn't understand why anyone would test in that circumstance - they said I must have missed a pill or I'd not have considered it and I just kept repeating ENHANCED MATERNITY RIGHTS like a nutter. In the end I paid for a beta privately the next day and my HCG was so low they said it must have been a faulty test (this is why I'd not trust a digital on its own now, I'm all about pink dye) as it couldn't possibly have been a chemical.

So I wonder if that does tell me my baseline 🤷🏻‍♀️

@trackiesandasmokeyeye oh wow! I've heard a lot of people on these threads to mention they don't trust the digital ones and to go with pink FRERs etc.
Think if I got a BFP I'd still test regularly to make sure 🙈

@CookieMonster3001hahhahah I'm the same. My WFH is very much googling anything with TTC when I have a spare minute or two 😂😂 good to know I've not totally lost the plot and other people do the same. And yes I will Obvs test tomorrow too 😂😂

@scandiontheloose I'm sure I was unlucky and most of the time they're fine, but one bad experience has put me off. Obviously I've gone searching for those test results, and how weird is this, I had the beta exactly 4 years ago today. Now trying to log in to see what my HCG was 🤣

Yep. I've cracked. I've left Nuffield pathology a message asking if I can still access my results after FOUR YEARS.

@trackiesandasmokeyeye OMG I love you 😂😂😂😂 well let us know if they message you back with your results. Tbh they tend to hold on to a lot of data for years on end. Think my doctor asked me the other week about something that was on my charts from early 2014 🤷🏻‍♀️

@trackiesandasmokeyeye although aren't those digis have a sensitivity of like 25miu? and I think they say that standard non pregnant HCG levels are between 1-5miu so it most likely was a dodgy test! I have heard VERY bad things about those tests!! I would be interested to see what they say about your results!! I am pretty sure there has been a lot of complaints recently about FRERS having indents too, bloody well cant trust any of them these days! She says as she just ordered 30 cheap IC one step strips for £4.48 LOL. Well if I am gonna piss on all the strips they may as well be cheap ones!

Another test I would never recommend buying btw are easy@home extra sensitive ones. I have tested the last 2 days and they both have the faintest shadow on them, pretty sure they are not a faint positive as it showed up like 5 hours later when it was bone dry.

@CookieMonster3001 yeah and at the time I was upset because I wanted a negative - the new job was so I could move closer to my OH (he worked 4 hours away from me then, and we met in the middle), but imagine if I'd been ttc, it would have been heartbreaking

I'm losing trust on any of these tests tbh. Not that it will stop me from testing until AF arrives cos I'm determined that my symptoms were not for nothing 😂🤷🏻‍♀️🙈

Yeah defo for testing early 25miu are not working cos you won't have that even necessarily even on the day of missed AF never mind a couple days before. I have a couple of those digital ones but I'll save them for when I know for sure I'm preggos so I can do a cheesy surprise gift for my OH cos it will say pregnant rather than explain to him what all the lines mean 😂

Ok so I apologise already if I seem nuts (or more nuts than usual) But I had this weird feeling after I threw away my test this morning that there was maybe a faint line but because the screen had a few scratches I didn't see it and just tossed it out.

So opinions please. I maintain that's it very very faint line at best but my best shot at a BFP. You guys tell me if I'm seeing things cos at this point I think I don't trust my own eyes. (And yes I went bin diving to get the test out and break it open)

@scandiontheloose Its another squinter but I can definitely see something there! How many DPO are you now? I remember @xem87 had a similar very faint line at first really had to squint to see it but then it was very clear to see the next day, keep testing! Do another in the morning if you can and keep us updated 🤞 I was going to test tomorrow morning but I've decided to hold off until Thursday if I can.

Right I'll try to calm down and I'll re-test in the morning 😂 I'm home alone so had no one freak out about this 😂😂 thanks gals 💕

I’m still waiting for AF and haven’t had any signs she is on her way yet so I don’t know why I feel there is a glimmer of hope but we will see, if she doesn’t appear by Thursday I will take another test.
