New Cycle starting 13/01/21

Just wondering if anyone wants to join me for a new cycle starting yesterday (or thereabouts)? AF reared her ugly head yesterday so it's new cycle time. This will be my 3rd cycle after a MMC in October last year. Let's support each other through this!

@Amz6219 I am tempted to test tomorrow... surely by 13 DPO if it was going to be positive it would come up?!

Another one I found that I should mention @2020mission. Not pure pomegranate but it isn’t from concentrate and seems to have a decent amount in per carton.

Does anyone else get absolutely exhausted coming up to ovulation?
I cannot explain how wrecked I am. My body just feels heavy to move.
There's nothing I can do, but just looking for a little company in my self pity!

Thanks @thislittlebird! I'm thinking if I can't find any pomegranate juice that's not from concentrate, I might go for some pomegranate seeds sprinkled on breakfast instead 🤔 not as easy as just drinking juice though haha.

@purplepoppet92 I get exhausted after ovulation. I'm usually falling asleep on the sofa in the last week of my cycle... are you exhausted from DTD so much? 😆

When is AF due @mollyaimee? If you want to test rather than waiting for AF then 13 DPO should be fine for it 👍🏼

@2020mission potentially due tomorrow if I’m going off of 29 day cycle which my last one was, but because I ovulated late, I’m thinking it could be a longer cycle so AF may not be due until Sunday!

Still a line for me yes... 🤞🤞🤞🤞 I think it’s pregnancy after loss that’s making me test CONSTANTLY! So anxious. X

AF still not showing for me although I did wipe some fresh blood last night, wore a tampon to bed but only half of it had blood when I woke up today. Still only spotting today.
Was a whole mixed bag of emotions with DH last night...mostly tearful and irritable. I do get snippy with him. Blamed it on PMS last night!

Looking great @Amz6219 🙌 thanks for sharing your chart - it's always interesting to see pregnancy charts. My free VIP fertility friend trial has ran out so this cycles chart is looking sad for me 😆 can't bring myself to pay for it though as the temperature graph is all I really need to see.

@Amz6219 @KeepSmiling89 @2020mission okay so how on earth did I expect to wait until Sunday to test?! Literally couldn’t wait so did one tonight and as expected, negative. Will do another one in the morning with FMU but at least now I have no expectations!!

@mollyaimee same here. I decided to test this afternoon for some reason. Another negative at 12dpo. Looked at my test from same day when I was pregnant in August 2020 to see if it looked similar but today's was clearly negative no matter how hard I squinted or tilted the test to try to see a line.

I think I asked already but is anyone trying or wanting to try the sperm meets egg plan? I've told DH and planning to do that in the hope of increasing our chances of conceiving next cycle.

@KeepSmiling89 I've never planned to follow the SMEP method I've always either done every day in a row of the fertile window or every second day... the 2 chemicals I had we DTD every second day at most but I noticed one of them we did every second day until a positive OPK then went for 2 days in a row... I think that's close to SMEP? I think I'll try the same this cycle. I'm at CD6 today and got the first bit of action in this morning. Because the times we conceived it wasn't every day, I do suspect low sperm count could be a factor.

@mollyaimee it's a way to increase chances of conceiving successfully. You DTD every other day from CD8 then, start using OPKs from CD10 (depending on the length of your cycle). When you get a positive OPK, you DTD for 3 days in a row, then have a day off then DTD again after the day 'off'.

@2020mission yeah that's it. I don't think DH and I have done it like that but I think DTD every other day pre-positive OPK will be helpful rather than just every day in my fertile window.
Of course when the mood is right, we DTD as well, but having a plan might help things a bit too.

@KeepSmiling89 @Amz6219 @2020mission As predicted ladies, BFN this morning! Just holding out for AF now so can start the new cycle!! I guess my partner and I sort of already do SMEP to a degree. Usually DTD at least every other day during fertile window and definitely on ovulation day. Think I’m going to take a break from tracking everything next month and see how it goes!

I think SMEP is good for keeping the sperm fresh, it is tiring though and we didn’t even do it fully! Ovulating on CD21 meant a lot more sex than if I ovulated earlier! 🙈 x

My AF arrived, was very sad yesterday after my chart messed me around. Will not be charting next month. On the plus side I’ve booked some acupuncture, I’ve just booked my covid vaccine for today, and my doctor should be doing my infertility clinic referral later. Onwards and upwards!

We will likely do something similar to SMEP this month.

Sorry @thislittlebird but great that you have lots of positives to look forward to! Yeh I’m glad I charged to confirm ovulation but it really is stressful! 🤞 for the acupuncture and next month is your month! X

@Amz6219 so AF has just arrived as expected!! Although a little earlier than expected but just means start of next cycle so another try!! Keeping all my fingers crossed for you, keep us updated!!

Aww it sounds like we all need to treat ourselves this weekend since we're all on to new cycles now. Is anyone doing anything for valentines? We don't really do much for it other than giving each other a card. My husband usually sends roses to me at work on valentines too 😆 🌹 but with working from home and it falling on the weekend, that's not likely! I might grab a bottle of prosecco for us to have tomorrow night though 🥂 any excuse haha

To treat myself (and DH I suppose) since it’s The Return of Flo and Valentine’s Day I spent £20 online with Hotel Chocolat lol. I tried to get prosecco yesterday @2020mission but I look quite young when dressed casually so couldn’t deal with an embarrassing scenario where I might have been asked for ID and didn’t have any lol. Will get some later or over the weekend and take my ID this time.
