New Cycle starting 13/01/21

Just wondering if anyone wants to join me for a new cycle starting yesterday (or thereabouts)? AF reared her ugly head yesterday so it's new cycle time. This will be my 3rd cycle after a MMC in October last year. Let's support each other through this!

@mollyaimee same here! I've got my 'pee pot' (old yogurt pot i use to collect pee for ovulation and pregnancy tests) in the bathroom ready for me to start testing in a few days.

Looking for reassurance here... has anyone got pregnant (ie known you’ve obviously ovulated) even though OPK’s are saying the opposite? OPK’s showed what I thought was a positive around CD14 last month, but then a similar result at CD22 (I believe I have 29 day cycles). This month, my OPK’s seem to be all over the place and it’s really making me feel like I’m not even ovulating? I’ve attached a photo. it could be down to using a new cheapie brand, but I’m also using clear blue digital and haven’t got a smiley face yet and according to Flo I’m due to ovulate tomorrow? Granted, I didn’t get a smiley face last month either but now I’m just paranoid that I’m not even ovulating?! Anyone have any experience with this!!

@mollyaimee sorry don't have experience of this myself. Are you only testing once a day? I tested up to 3 or 4 times in one day if I thought I was nearing my ovulation 'peak'...I did this when I conceived last time. Dont have any pictures to share unfortunately but could be worth trying...I would test mid-late morning (not first morning pee as I read LG hormone isn't synthesised until later in the day), then early-mid afternoon then again at around 6pm or so.
I'm only using cheapies too and have a pack of 50.

@KeepSmiling89 I’ve been testing twice or three times a day for the past couple of days as I was thinking that ovulation is due sometime soon... once with clear blue digital with fmu (the instructions say to use this) and then once with a cheapie test. Even just now I’ve tested and it’s supposed to be day of ovulation, I’ve waited about 3-4 hours without going to the loo, and still got a really low ratio... I’ll try again later tonight but I’m starting to think I’ve either ovulated early this month or I won’t ovulate at all?!

I’m the same this month @mollyaimee, I’m on CD18 and nothing... I normally get a few days of quite a lot of EWCM but nothing really yet. I’ve never had a cycle longer than 33 days and the latest I’ve ovulated is CD19.

When I got pregnant with my son it was CD19 though, so maybe it’ll all come at once tomorrow! I’m temping for the first time ever and temp hasn’t risen yet so guess I’ve not ovulated yet, and my boobs always go sore straight after ov but they’re not sore yet... must be a full moon or something 🙈 x

@Amz6219 oh that’s interesting!! I feel like I’ve not had any EWCM yet either which I definitely noticed a few days before ovulation last time! I’ve just ordered a BBT thermometer actually so interested to start that next cycle.. how have you found that? Maybe there is still hope for this month!!

@mollyaimee seems quite straightforward so far, I’ve been using Fertility Friend app to plot.

It’s made me feel a bit better this month because it shows I’ve not ovulated yet so I’m not panicking that I’ve missed it! Although I am worried that I’ll not ovulate at all! I have been a bit stressed so I’m wondering if that’s pushed it back a bit x

@Amz6219 oh that’s interesting!! I’ve ordered the Femom thermometer or something so I’ve got that app - probably a bit pointless to start temping in the middle of a cycle but just going to start whenever it arrives! I feel exactly the same as you so fingers crossed for both of us!!

I took my first test of this cycle and the line is a really good one. Not quite positive yet but have a feeling it'll be there tomorrow maybe. Fingers crossed.

@KeepSmiling89 how exciting for you! My ovulation I think is way out this month, I think going by EWCM, I might only just be ovulating now? Who knows, baby dust to you too!!

Would you say this is a positive ovulation test? I know the test line has to be equal or stronger colour than the control line but I'm rubbish at determining that!

I would say yes! I think that's as strong as I've ever gotten them 😊

My cycle started the 13/01 too! That’s all I have to add really lol. What’s your usual length @KeepSmiling89? I think it might be ovulation day today to me, hoping temps will confirm tomorrow.

So looking back at my ovulation tests for this month... I appear to have got very close to positives (for me anyway) on CD 6,7,9 and then it dipped to almost nothing, now it’s rising again slightly for the past 2 days. Have I ovulated early or?? So confused!

I’ve been a crazed woman with OPKs, lost count how many I’ve been through!! Although I started at CD9 and finally got my peak today on CD20!

@thislittlebird hiya! My average cycle length is 34 days but think ovulation is a bit earlier this month....

@KeepSmiling89 pretty sure mine was yesterday (if my temps go the right direction tomorrow that should confirm it) so I’m now likely 1dpo and counting down the terrible 2ww, I’ve a 29 day cycle almost all of the time.

Had blazing positive yesterday morning, now back to negative so I’m conflicted whether to DTD again tonight for the 4th in a row or have a rest!! 🙈 definitely TWW as of tomorrow (if not today) too @thislittlebird x

I would keep going just in case @Amz6219. I had my peak on a CB monitor on CD15 and ovulated CD17 so it’s all very hard to predict. Maybe I’m overdoing it this month but we managed every day bar one for 10 days this month because the more “relaxed” approach has got us nowhere for months and months now so it’s been more of a military procedure for January lol.

@thislittlebird yeh you’re right, I know if I don’t I’ll be disappointed so might as well give it one last go then have a few days rest! 😆

Can someone please bring me back to reality and stop my major line eyes here?! Why do I feel like I can see the tiniest daintiest start of a line on this invert image? @KeepSmiling89 @Amz6219 can you confirm that I’ve got line eyes please?😂 also, did a test because I’d convinced myself I’d ovulated early this month, then kept getting positive ovulation tests today so thought why not do a HCG one😂
