New Cycle starting 13/01/21

Just wondering if anyone wants to join me for a new cycle starting yesterday (or thereabouts)? AF reared her ugly head yesterday so it's new cycle time. This will be my 3rd cycle after a MMC in October last year. Let's support each other through this!

Argh sorry @KeepSmiling89 :( I have always had a few days of brown spotting before period but I have had surgery for endometriosis so I think it was connected to that.. who knows! I always count CD1 as red blood too (TMI too! :))

We have been taking the his & hers pregnacare conception vitamins and I genuinely think they were a help.. also did a sort of version of SMEP x

Aww @thislittlebird yeah it's hard going. How old are you? I'm almost 33 so don't feel like I have time on my side either 😅 I thought it would just happen and I could have 2 by 35. So naive! I'm glad you've been getting some tests though hopefully they can help.

Not 2021, I mean 2020 up there. Can’t keep up with the years lol.

I’m 37 @2020mission (38 this year) and started when I was 36. It’s weird, I just took it for granted because all my friends were pregnant in a few months.

So far the tests aren’t bad which is good (although still waiting on some repeat 21 day test results from last week). Just need to keep trying and then probably do some more tests in a few months right now.

@thislittlebird yeah you half want them to find an issue so they can give you something to help, don't you? 😅 although it's great if they say the results look fine but you would be like... what now? What angle did you go with when you first booked in to speak to a GP? I'm not sure whether to go straight in with fertility trouble after TTC for over a year without success or whether to book in with menstrual health/spotting concerns as they might see me sooner with the latter. Still hoping it will just happen before I need to book in 🤞at least we're still under 40, it could be worse!

How many of us are onto the next cycle now? I'm now on CD8, so going to start tracking ovulation in the next few days!

@purplepoppet92 I'm on CD5 so not tracking anything yet. Will start in a day or so. Just on the grapefruit juice once a day for now to try and get more fertile CM

@2020mission .... what is this about grapefruit juice??

I just went for the “I’m over 35 and have been trying for over six months” angle. I’m not sure how quick they are with other routes to tests @2020mission. Fingers crossed it does happen soon and you can relax.

I’ve also got grapefruit juice in the fridge for when I get to that stage of the cycle again lol. It’s supposed to increase EWCM @purplepoppet92. I’ve got that and I’m taking EPO for the first days of the cycle before ovulation.

I've not tried EPO @thislittlebird I think I should give it a go next cycle actually. Might be too late to get on it now 😅

@purplepoppet92 I've attached the grapefruit juice I drink every cycle from AF ending until ovulation. Please be warned it tastes awful 😆 but I think it does help me produce more EWCM! It smells lovely but tastes bitter.

Okay ladies I need some advice... obviously I had my strange evap line situation the other day at 8DPO and then had stark negatives at 9DPO (FMU and in evening). Tbh, I’d kind of given up hope for this cycle at that point, but now I’m in the mood to test again🙈 I think I’m due on Sunday, but AF could arrive any day since I think I ovulated later than normal. I’m currently 11DPO, should I test tomorrow morning (12DPO) to just put me out of my misery of it being negative, or wait and potentially get my hopes up more?😭 @KeepSmiling89 @Amz6219 @thislittlebird @2020mission

@mollyaimee is it a FRER you've got for testing? If so, it should show at 12 DPO with FMU if you're pregnant but I know the disappointment of BFN so if I was you I'd be tempted to hold off until late unless there's an extra reason to check early other than impatience haha like before having a drink at the weekend or if you do want to check for possible chemicals happening. Also depends on how many tests I have around too for me 😅 I hate using the last one. Fingers crossed for you either way 🤞

I got this one @2020mission and I actually like it. Maybe because it’s pink grapefruit it’s less tart? Dunno. I do think I had a little more ewcm this month. I also cracked out the preseed for the first time.

@mollyaimee Similar to mission I’d say wait. You probably won’t believe it’s legit anyway and test again in a couple of days (I know I wouldn’t, which is why I don’t bother partly).

Ohh @thislittlebird I could only ever get Tropicana as all other brands I looked at were from concentrate but I never checked M&S. Next time I'm there I'll grab that pink one and give myself a change 👍🏼 although here's hoping it won't be needed 😆

@2020mission tbh, I got the negative on the frer on 8/9DPO so that’s why I’m pretty much expecting it to be negative again! But I do have the easy@home cheapies too!!

@thislittlebird I think I’m going to hold out until Sunday when my app tells me AF is due, but I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if it turns up before then!!

Ps; I’ll come back to this on Sunday if I do manage to hold on till then😂

I think because I’m just assuming it will be negative, I’m thinking surely I can just get my answer now and be done with it 😂

@mollyaimee oh I know the not knowing is the worst! Spotting is always my sign that I've not caught... it stops me from testing early most cycles as I always get the spotting days before AF except for both times I had chemicals. Its good for saving tests but bad as it means I have days of knowing I've failed when I'm not even on to the next cycle yet... hold on to the hope while you can 🙂

@purplepoppet92 yeah I drink it daily after AF ends until the end of the fertile window. They say it has chemicals in it that temporarily stops estrogen from dropping. Keeping estrogen high should help the body produce more EWCM. Worth a shot if you think more EWCM might help you!

@2020mission oh that’s interesting about spotting... I got it the morning of AF last time for a couple of hours, really convincing me that it was implantation bleeding!! I know, the not knowing is definitely the worst for me, but as @thislittlebird said, I’m probably only going to test again even if it is positive or negative so might as well wait!!

I just won’t test unless I’m late because and it’s so hard seeing those tests and it’s always BFN every time. I want a definitive result rather than one I can question so I’ll just hang in there.

Try your best to hold out and you’ll get a definitive answer in a few more days @mollyaimee

Yeah I really like the m&s one @2020mission but maybe I’m weird lol. We also tried drinking pomegranate this month which is supposed to be good for both me and DH, it’s just super expensive for the non concentrate.

Omg @2020mission, the bloody price! I tried to dodge it and bought Sainsbury’s only to realise it’s from concentrate (and it’s gross), and then tried Biona (£5 for 1L) which is in the fridge right now and that is truly disgusting. Have to mix it with orange juice, it has a weird sediment in .

On the plus side, I had my scan after the first month of drinking it and I had a good womb lining so at the very least it’s not hurting and maybe it’s helping?

@thislittlebird ahh I just looked and POM is from concentrate - how did I miss that? 🤣 I've been drinking it for months too. I'll need to hunt for your biona brand now. I was hoping it would help prevent another chemical if I manage to catch. Where do you get yours?

I got the Biona and the M&S grapefruit from Ocado. I warn you though, the Biona is grim.

I’m somewhat outraged that Pom are charging £3.70 for a juice from concentrate lmao, I had no idea.

I copied other ladies on MN with the POM 😅 some of them doing IVF so I just trusted they knew what they were doing. I wonder if they realise it's from concentrate 😬 Ocado don't deliver to my area so I'll have to keep looking. They have them on Amazon but would have to commit to a pack of 6 if I go that route. I think if my husband saw a pack of 6 1L bottles of pomegranate turn up he'd think I'd gone mad 😆

It’s so bizarre that POM gets away with essentially passing itself off as a higher end brand. I’m a little stunned that it’s from concentrate and it hides it so well.
