Officially in the tww after a temp spike yesterday morning and this morning. I’m around 2dpo today, we are onto cycle 4 of ttc baby no 1 which isn’t a long time really but feels like a lifetime. Really hoping this is my month 🤞✨

Usually I go mad googling symptoms and driving myself crazy during the whole wait only for AF to show each month so thought I’d change it up and make a wee thread for people also in the tww. We can all keep each other sane!! Feel free to join everyone is welcome!

@Dex1521 yes me! No drive whatsoever today. Just staring at the rain and procrastinating!

Dex1521 · 14/01/2021 10:45

@Grace185 it's so annoying I've so much to do and just cba it's all just spreadsheets and huge figures 🙄 Oo I'm way up in the north east in Darlington. It's between Newcastle and Middlesbrough if you haven't heard of it lol. I'm originally from Northern Ireland though and living on the coast I never had snow but since moving here we've had loads each winter, especially this winter 😂

@Ifonly86 I'm no expert lol but it's looks promising! You're temps are still high. I presume you take your temp at the same time each day before getting up? It does look like you ovulated around CD11 too so you look be around 10dpo

Also when is your AF due? Usually BBT drops when it's on its way but if it stays high could mean pregnancy. How long have you been trying? I'm only cycle 4 and know what you mean about the BFNs being so disheartening

It's snowing here too in West Yorkshire! I'm feeling super tired and queasy today but only 7/8dpo so probably too early for symptoms. Waiting until the weekend to test

ree348 · 14/01/2021 10:58

It's so easy to over read our 'symptoms' isn't it...this morning I woke up feeling a little sick and then told myself there's no way I would have pregnancy symptoms 2 DPO Smile

This is going to be a long wait....

Nellieee · 14/01/2021 11:30

Also wfh. I'm so over it now. Used to enjoy it pre-lockdown.

@Ifonly86 I'd say you probably ovulated on Tuesday. Usually you ovulate within 12-36 hours of positive OPK. Did you dtd the Wednesday after trust O? Any times before? I know it can be hard seeing a negative, when you hear yourself up that this is it.

@Dex1521 jealous of your snow!! We've not had any since the first week of Jan.

@stillfeelingmad 7/8 dpo is prime implantation time. Fingers crossed. Have you decided when you'll test?

@ree348 spikes in progesterone can make you feel a little queasy for sure! I do often think I'm imagining feeling sick though (not saying you are!!)

ree348 · 14/01/2021 11:49

@Nellieee I know what you mean, it seems like everyday is Groundhog Day esp when coupling it with home schooling!

I never really had nausea with my children, but am watching out for all symptoms. I am 3 DPO I don't expect to 'spot' any till at least another 7 days.

How many days DPO are you? Any symptoms ?

Ifonly86 · 14/01/2021 12:08

Thanks for replies ladies, we only dtd on 6th as dp went away for work for a week. I put the temps into ff and it’s showing I’m 4dpo. If that’s right then we dtd 4 days before ovulation so I’m still in with a slight chance right? This is the second month of properly ttc but unprotected for 3 months before that. I have pcos so I don’t ovulate every month.

TWW - let’s keep each other sane!
ree348 · 14/01/2021 12:49

@Ifonly86 yes! Sperm can live up to 5 days (the X chromosome sperms tend to live longer). So you are still in there with a chance.

Nellieee · 14/01/2021 13:07

@ree348 oh I don't envy anyone home schooling as well as wfh. It must be an impossible task half the time. We really living in a mad time.

Ooh ok. I'm also 3dpo. Usually have 25-27 day cycles, but FF suggests testing on 14 dpo on Mon 27 Jan. Will probs do that weekend before if I've not caved by then!! When are you thinking of testing?

ree348 · 14/01/2021 13:58

@Nellieee my cycle is around 25-26 days too, I am usually bang on with my cycle. I think the earliest I could test with a frer is next Sunday. I would be about 13 DPO. When were you thinking ?

Dex1521 · 14/01/2021 16:04

So gals let's distract ourselves from this tww! And talk about something random 😂 how about the origin of your username on mumsnet? Mine is Dex as one of my cats is called Dexter and 15 21 are my lucky numbers. My other cats called shakira so that's why I didn't name my account after her 😂 I am also a crazy cat mum so please enjoy my picture of them (shakira tabby, Dexter white furball)

Fun idea!! I'm hoping to wait and test Sunday but might do an Internet cheapie tomorrow, I'm getting all butterflies in my stomach and I'm exhausted so hoping that's a good sign, or I'm getting ill Blush

SenoraSurf · 14/01/2021 22:18

Oo that sounds fun. I'm senora because I am Spanish and surf because I like surfing. Very boring really!
I have also convinced I am pregnant, even though I'm 4dpo. I just feel it in my bones yes I know, ridiculous.

stillfeelingmad · 15/01/2021 07:44

Sorry forgot to add mine, I was 'stillfeelingmad' years later about the crappy childhood I had when I found mumsnet and asked advice on forgiving my mum, that was a few years ago before I was really even thinking of babies and I just sort of stuck around!

I caved and did an Internet cheapy this morning Grin predictably at only 7/8dpo it was bfn but some people said they had a really faint negative this early so wanted to try !

Dex1521 · 15/01/2021 07:59

@stillfeelingmad aw sorry to hear about your childhood, will be so rewarding when you have your little baba and can give them the best childhood it'll feel so rewarding xx

Haha love your enthusiasm at 7/8dpo definitely don't lose hope though as you're not out yet

OP posts:
coffee1988 · 15/01/2021 09:02

@stillfeelingmad we're on the same timeline! I'm 7/8 dpo too. Was so tempted to test this morning but somehow managed to hold off. The daily bfns were so depressing last month. Plan is to test Sunday I think.

@Dex1521 I'm coffee1988 because I couldn't think of a name whilst staring at my crappy cup of decaf!

stillfeelingmad · 15/01/2021 09:19

Oh hey @coffee1988 cycle buddies! I did calculator that said I could do an early response from tomorrow, might pop out and buy one today

TTCat39 · 15/01/2021 16:00

Well, my TWW is over.
AF has arrived, 3 days early, making my last cycle only 22 days long. I haven't had one that short for a long time.

This is our 2nd cycle TTC our first baby. I know it hasn't been very long, but to be honest I am just counting the months until we're allowed to seek help on the NHS (after 6 months of trying, as we are 'geriatric') as I am convinced we aren't going to be able to do this without help.

After two months of following the 'every other day throughout your cycle' rule for DTD (and tbh it's more like daily in the fertile window) I am now ready with all the techniques - OPK, BBT, CM tracking. And a huge feeling of deflation Sad

Dex1521 · 15/01/2021 16:17

Aw I'm sorry @TTCat39 it's awful to hear when AF arrives. There are things that can be done to length the LP phase they might be a worth reading into them. Try to keep positive and think about what your next cycle may hold for you. Look after yourself xx

TTCat39 · 15/01/2021 16:28

Thanks @Dex1521. I've been taking folic acid but have just bought Pregnacare (and multi vits for my husband) to make sure I keep vitamin B levels up too.

It's an emotional rollercoaster.

Sorry to bring down the happy thread. I will have to find another focus and just hope we get lucky with this in the end. Pasting on my happy face in 3,2,1...Grin

Dex1521 · 15/01/2021 16:30

@TTCat39 multivitamins are definitely the way forward I use the seven seas folic acid and it has added vitamins in too and my OH uses the well man vitamins. Think of the positives you can have a gin/beer/wine tonight 😊

OP posts:
stillfeelingmad · 15/01/2021 16:31

Sorry to hear that @TTCat39 such a disappointment for you! Fingers crossed for next month Thanks

TTCat39 · 15/01/2021 17:22

Thanks @stillfeelingmad

@TTCat39 - I could I suppose...I allowed myself one on xmas day and one on boxing day after AF arrived on christmas eve... Merry Christmas to me Confused

TTCat39 · 15/01/2021 17:23

I just @ ' d myself. I think it's time for that gin...
