@notyetamumbuttrying I’m going to ask GP about hsg when she calls with SA results. She refused to do anything until we had his SA done so I’m hoping if the results are as good as his private one, then she’ll book other tests for us or just refer us for ivf maybe!
I bet you are counting down the days until your appt in Feb! 😊

@Annny27 yes they are pretty positive results, it just makes me wonder why they haven’t made it to the egg in 30+ cycles!! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Maybe my lady parts are being hostile towards them?? 😂

crazycatlady1981 · 18/01/2021 11:29

@Annny27 acupuncture is great! I had a momentary wobble about the needles when I first lay on the couch but then I just shut my eyes and relaxed and now I love it! It’s the highlight of my week at the moment! 😬

RobinRose · 18/01/2021 11:42

Morning ladies, hope you all had a lovley weekend?

I have been feeling really emotional and irritated since Friday, like I'm on the verge of crying for no reason! I have a horrible feeling af is going to be an absolute bitch this month 😩

notyetamumbuttrying · 18/01/2021 11:42

@Theawkwardblonde yeah it does! Let me know when you've finished it!
@crazycatlady1981 oh I see! That makes sense actually. Bit annoying that she wouldn't take the private one into account. I'm sure he's fine though as those numbers are fab! I can't bloody wait for this feb appointment. Just shitting it that it'll get cancelled tho as it's a busy London hospital. I'm on a thread on here about it and 3 ppl have had cancellations now 😬 remind me, have you had kids before?

@RobinRose are you due on today then? I hope she stays away! 🤞🏾

OP posts:
RobinRose · 18/01/2021 11:53

@notyetamumbuttrying no, not till Friday but she could be coming early. Or it could by my anxiety playing up (no idea why?!), just feel a bit out of sorts

crazycatlady1981 · 18/01/2021 12:15

@notyetamumbuttrying no kids, but DH donated to a lesbian before he met me and she got pregnant in first cycle with 3 consecutive inseminations! So I think that’s why I think I’m the one with an issue! It plays on my mind a lot! We tried insemination a few times ourselves including this month, so you never know! 🤞🏻
Really hope your appt goes ahead! Covid stuff is slowly starting to improve so keeping everything crossed for you!

notyetamumbuttrying · 18/01/2021 12:48

@RobinRose I know that feeling! Here's hoping it's another sign instead!! 🤞🏾
@crazycatlady1981 ah yes, I remember now! Hope you don't have to wait too much longer then. I just got a shock with the bmi stuff. It usually has to be under 30, and I'm currently 29.3, my hospital says it has to be under 29! No more going off the diet at the weekends then 😬

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker yeah mines crept up due to this shit too. Defo not moving as much and we're in a flat so no garden for exercising. Need to get out more!

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker lol that would be the dream right! And also to kick my butt so that I do some exercise and to cook me three healthy meals a day so that I don't snack! Grin

@notyetamumbuttrying oh wow I've not heard of under 29 before, I wonder why it's different to everywhere else! My weight has definitely gone up, think my BMI is around 25/26 now. We just bought a treadmill so I did some speed walking last night whilst watching Netflix, I want to build up to couch to 5k again.

Got my covid vaccine today! 🎉

notyetamumbuttrying · 19/01/2021 09:28

@Narwhal88 ah so it is odd then. I thought it was! I'm so glad I checked on their website. I'm actively losing weight now and it's slow and steady at 2lbs so far so hopefully by the appointment it'll be 6lbs total and I'll be making my way bk to a decent bmi. Lockdown has not been kind to my eating habits! Would love a treadmill but no room in one bed flat. Sounds like you're on to a winner there tho! Well done 👍🏾
and whoop to the vaccine 🥳

@notyetamumbuttrying can but hope! I don't suppose your hospital said what your bmi should be as a minimum? I'm a little worried mine is too low which may cause a problem

Annny27 · 19/01/2021 11:39

@robinrose I am a skinny minny too and they always question my weight but because I am healthy they just accept that my bmi is low but thats normal for me 😊

RobinRose · 19/01/2021 11:54

@Annny27 ahhh it is a blessing and a curse! my gp said the same thing when they sent the referral, noticed my bmi is on the low side but it has been like that for years so said it was normal for me. Just worried the fertility clinic may say otherwise! I don't know why I'm thinking about it when we haven't even had an appointment through yet 😑😂

notyetamumbuttrying · 19/01/2021 12:31

@RobinRose nope didn't see a minimum. Hopefully they don't pay too much attention to it all. If you saw me you wouldn't say I was overweight, just curvy with perhaps 1/2 a stone to lose. I actually have a stone and a half to lose lol but dress well so that you don't notice! Hope the appointment comes through soon! X

Period finally properly arrived and wow the cramps are killing. Asif having infertility wasnt enough 🤣🤣

Husbands sperm analysis comes back next week so hopefully we get some more answers and then got a telephone fertility appointment in mid Feb!

@notyetamumbuttrying yeah bmi is so silly I think anyway! I swear most people aren't in the "healthy range" haha!

@robinrose yeah exactly if they aren't concerned then its not a big deal :)

@creativethinkertequiladrinker yep I struggle with finding anything exciting or happy either!!! Its depressing infertility plus a pandemic 🤣

@notyetamumbuttrying let's hope that if your fertility appointment has to cancel that they do it on the phone instead like mine!

notyetamumbuttrying · 19/01/2021 17:16

@Annny27 they need to take my blood and dhs sperm sample so defo need to go in lol! 🤣 And we're signing paperwork for funding too. Agree that the combo of infertility and a pandemic is extremely depressing 😳😭

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker similar for me! Idk if it's cos we just got results this month but I'm not feeling at all positive atm. I rang fertility network yesterday to get a bit more info on DH's results and she was pretty negative about the whole thing - v different to the GP's message. I do online dance fitness classes 4/5x a week and they're the only thing keeping me positive! I'm only 2dpo I think and I don't usually start symptom spotting till 8dpo so that will be the real test. Do you usually symptom spot?

DH's best friend has broken up with his gf so is moving in with us for a few weeks this weekend (till he finds himself somewhere more permanent). Part of me is dreading it cos he can be a lot to deal with and we live in a flat (although we have a spare room) but then another part of me is thinking it might be a welcome distraction for us both atm. Not like there's much else other than working from my dining room table going on!
