@Hannah154 it prob will be a welcome distraction then. Try and spin it that way anyway so that you don't go crazy 😜
Sorry to hear that the clinic was negative and different to how the gp was. Were you given any next steps?

Well I’m getting my progesterone checked tomorrow, so wish me luck even though my bbt says I haven’t ovulated yet
Hopefully I’ll get a further plan for the coming weeks

@Yutes good luck for your test! You too @CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker

notyetamumbuttrying · 19/01/2021 21:08

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker thanks babe! I really need to do some home workouts, just don't have a lot of space in our one bed flat.
@Yutes good luck for tomorrow! X

@notyetamumbuttrying Haha I know I think I'll last about 3 days before regretting it!
She gave some helpful tips on supplements and diet but said it's unlikely to improve it enough. She said GPs only get a couple weeks training on this stuff so they rarely know much 🙈. Then she just said that when we ring the GP next month to ask for another SA we should ask for a referral to the fertility clinic then so we can get an appointment booked as I still need to have ultrasound etc.

The no space sounds like an excuse to me, I'm sure you could find some space somewhere to exercise or always go out for a run 😜. I know what you mean though, I rearrange the whole living room for my dance classes!

@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker She said with it being less than 1% morphology even with diet/alcohol changes it's unlikely to improve it enough to be at the low end of normal and would need to improve motility (currently 32%) so we'd need IVF ICSI if results stay similar to what they are. Although it also depends on what shape the abnormal ones are apparently. She said the good news is we're very likely to have our own genetic child it just probably won't be naturally (she says probably as it could happen but could be waiting years/forever and there's always the chance that in that time it could get worse). Quite different messages! I'm the kinda person that prefers to know worst and best case scenarios though so I feel a bit better knowing that. Although I guess all this is subject to any potential issues on my side too!

Yeah I remember months where I thought I had all the symptoms. I think I've been pretty sure I was pregnant twice but the heartache at the end just wasn't worth it so hopefully never again! When symptoms cross my mind I try to block them out n fell myself it's hormones (which it definitely is). Glad I'm not the only one that's like that with tampons/pads - about 3 months into TTC I remember adding a small pack to my basket thinking hmm best not waste my money buying loads. Now I add multi packs without giving it a second thought 😂.

Annny27 · 19/01/2021 22:56

I remember when I first joined mumsnet, back in June 2019 my first cycle ttc and I came across a 12 month plus thread and I thought "omg those poor women".....Well how the tables have turned and some newbie is probably feeling sorry for me 🤣🤣🤣🤣

RobinRose · 20/01/2021 08:49

@Annny27 I know what you mean, how niave were we 😳🤣! I get frustrated (maybe a teeny tiny bit...jealous....)seeing threads of people conceiving in the first 3 months 😑
Our day will come ladies!! (But sooner rather than later would be great 😁)

Can I join in ! ... AF Due 27th x

crazycatlady1981 · 20/01/2021 10:06

Hi @Busybird123 👋🏻 I’m also due af on 27th/28th Jan!
27th is DH birthday and it would be an amazing present to have a BFP!! Highly unlikely for me though, especially as I’ve started to get a bit crampy today! 😕
Fingers crossed for all of us though! We need some BFPs in this group!! 💖

Annny27 · 20/01/2021 10:55

@robinrose Ironically I did conceive within 3 months the first time with my pregnancy that I miscarried!! And now on month 14 of trying after miscarriage. My husband has not great sperm so shows that it can happen even with lower than optimal it can happen naturally

@creativethinkertequiladrinker yep its heartbreaking how long some people have to be on the "journey"

Tofu35 · 20/01/2021 11:21

I'd warn for TMI, but I feel this is definitely a group for this question!
At what point in your cycle do you start TTC? We usually wait until day 10 then do alternate days until the ovulation stick says it's coming up to the static smiley and then it's 3 days on the trot, and then a few alternate days at the other end ("just in case"). Sometimes it means by the actual 'this could be ovulation day' we're both a bit knackered and happy to get it over with 😂

Annny27 · 20/01/2021 11:33

@tofu35 I like to get "some in the system" right after period incase I ovulate early haha!

But usually around cd8 we start every other day or every 3 days untill I notice ovulation signs and then its every other day

RobinRose · 20/01/2021 11:34

@Annny27 Oh I'm so sorry!! 😔 i did not mean to cause offence, that must be really frustrating for you. That is a positive way of looking at things, like they say.... it only takes one!

RobinRose · 20/01/2021 11:38

@Tofu35 I agree with @Annny27 , we dtd as soon as af buggers off so cd 5 or cd 6 then every day (but more like every 3 days!) I usually ovulate between cd11-13 but can be a later so like to get in early. When I see ewcm we try every other day

Annny27 · 20/01/2021 11:43

No offence taken as I am also jealous of people who conceive quickly now haha @robinrose

Tofu35 · 20/01/2021 12:29

@robinrose @annny27 Loving the "some in the system" chat, my cycle is around 32 days so we definitely try to start early before ovulation but maybe not that early! But you know, give me another month or two and ask me again Confused

notyetamumbuttrying · 20/01/2021 18:09

@Hannah154 you've got me sussed! It's totally an excuse 😂 had a brisk walk at lunch but defo need to do more. We always spend the weekends walking all afternoon but I know I need to do hardcore cardio and get a sweat on to see real differences! I miss gym classes 😒 I'd have no excuse then and just go for it and was motivated by getting shouted at 😂 I'm downloading couch to 5k as we speak...
Glad you've got a POA in place now. You defo need that ultrasound booked in!
@Annny27 oh mate how depressing is that 😂 😆
@CreativeThinkerTequilaDrinker yep have heard of iui and looked it up and most ppl have said if it's a waste of time...😬 it's only really useful for single women and those with penetration issues.
@Busybird123 yes please join, welcome 🙂 tell us about yourself?
@Tofu35 we try and do every other day after my period ends as I ov early. Although it's usually max 4 times in FW. Then once in tww and that's that! 17 months of ttc and being told he has male factor in sept means it's defo lessened as likelihood of it happening naturally is basically 0!

Hey all, I've been keeping up with where you all are in your cycles and it feels very odd not to be trying this month, this is my day 11 so normally we'd be trying now, I keep thinking maybe this would have been the month. All my drugs arrived today so I have a fridge full of medication and a load of needles. Just want to get on with it now but think its another week until I will start. Wishing you all best of luck this cycle!

notyetamumbuttrying · 20/01/2021 19:48

@Motherofkittens28 good to hear from you! Glad you have your meds and gear ready to start! Nerve racking but exciting still right?! Hopefully this is it! 🤞🏾

Narwhal88 · 20/01/2021 20:24

@Tofu35 we start from about CD6/7 after AF goes. I ovulate on CD11 or 12 normally so it creeps up fast. I think I ovulated a CD13 this month so expecting AF to be a day or so later (due on Friday).

@notyetamumbuttrying I started week 1 of c25k again tonight 😂 I've never made it past week 3 before.

notyetamumbuttrying · 20/01/2021 20:34

@Narwhal88 haha I'm still yet to actually download it 😂 will do it now...

Yutes · 21/01/2021 12:16

Well... it’s a no from my blood test. But I have sore nips and the rage today. So could be af, could be ovulation. Who knows?
